Disclamer: I own nothing, JKR owns all.
I hate to think Snape died believing Harry is doomed. This is my attempt to improve the situation a little.
A Last Letter
A black angular figure at the desk looked alien in a warm cosy setting of the Headmaster's Office. The man put aside a bunch of papers, and begun to write on a fresh list of parchment.
To the Son of Lily.
I've already prepared my memories for the Pensive, so this part of my reminiscences is unknown for you.
In the evening, I was approached by Professor Firenze, who just said 'Mars can be gone soon.' and be me farewell. Divination was never my favourite subject (if that can be called 'subject' at all), but it is clear the latter means a soon death for me and the former means a possible defeat of the Dark Lord. As my death is inevitable, I must use it in a most efficient way. Sacrificing herself, Lily was able break Dark Lord's plans. I going to change both Lord Voldemort's plans and Professor Dumbledore schemes. This letter is intended to be delivered at the beginning of a new term after defeat of Dark Lord, so if you are reading this, my speculations are proved to be correct.
As far as I know, you are going to be an Auror. In Appendix A you will find descriptions of some useful curses and counter-curses. I do recommend you to train a use of non-verbal and wandless spells. List of required books and exercises is in Appendix B.
Your Occlumency is awful. A least skilled Legilement will know what spell you are going to use even before you open your mouth. Read the book 'The Last Defence: Creating A Void in Your Mind. Practical examples from four natural occlumenists.' Do pay your attention to the visualising techniques on page page eighty-six.
Appendix C contains several Potion Patents. You are free to command them, except of selling. If you will have a daughter named Lily, the Patent have to be transferred into her possession after she passed her N.E.W.T. It's up to you to reveal or not the source of the said Patents.
Severus Snape,
Hogwarts,
April 28th, 1998
The packet was sealed up and set aside with several others. The titles were 'A Teacher's Guide for D.A.D.A (7th year)', 'Headmaster: Fixed and Unfinished Duties' and so of this kind. It was done with writing, but still it was much to be done. Severus stood up and left the place, his robes swung besides him like a black broken wings.
