Jewels: Woot woot chapter 5!
Marik: Don't forget about the disclaimer.
Jewels: Why don't you do it this time?
Marik: She doesn't own Yu-Gi-Oh.
Jewels: Thank you Marik.
Later that day after I had eaten my dinner a tall man with gold eyes and strange tattoo came in and set a bag on the bed.
"Master Marik says that after you freshen up you two will be leaving," he said, "His room is across the hall…he also wanted me to remind you that the exists are being guarded so don't try to run…just go knock on his door when you are done freshening up."
The man left and I went over to the bag and looked inside it and saw…some of my stuff. 'Holy Swedish Fish someone was in my house but how…' I looked around the room and saw that I had set on the table was open and my ID was next to is. "Sneaky one he is," I said grabbing the bag and going to the bathroom and taking a long hot shower. After my shower I fixed my hair and makeup as I normally do and then I went across the hall and knocked on the door. The door moved when I knocked on it so I slowly pushed it open. "Marik?" I asked.
I didn't see him so I figured I would just wait and look at the Egyptian pictures that were on the wall. After a few minutes and me getting lost in my fascination with art I heard a voice. "What are you doing in here?"
I spun around and saw Marik standing by what I was guessing the bathroom door…shirtless. I turned bright red and looked at the floor.
"Some…some guy told me to come here when I was done freshening up and the door opened when I knocked and I didn't see you when I walked in so I decided to wait and I uh…I really like the pictures that you have in here," I said pointing behind me, "Now I am just going to leave go back to my "jail cell" and we can pretend like this never happened." I went to head to the door still looking at the floor but I heard the door shut.
"Normally I would have sent you to the shadow realm by now," he said.
I looked up and backed away from him once I saw the look in his eyes. "You have a Yami," I said remembering my last encounter with Yami Bakura.
"Very good," he said walking back across the room.
I noticed there were some tattoos on his back and I followed him to get a closer look. I admired tattoos…they were a type of art as well and maybe to get his mind off possibly sending me to the shadow realm, I would ask him about the tattoo.
"What does your tattoo mean?" I asked reaching out and gently placing my finger tips on the wing of a bird, but before he could answer something strange happened. I had…a vision I guess you could call it. I saw things about Marik when he was little.
"They're not tattoos," he said sounding like he was in pain, "They're scars."
I took my hand off his back and dropped it to my side. He grabbed his head and I realized this was something the Bakura had done once when he was trying to keep his Yami away.
"Turn towards me," I said rubbing my hands together (I'm going to do the trick that Sophie in The Da Vinci Code uses to calm down Dr. Langdon). He turned towards me and I put my now warm palms on his temples. "Take nice easy breaths," I said. He did and after a couple of minutes he looked at me and nodded. I took my hands off his head and crossed me arms.
"Where did you learn that?" he asked.
"I think my mom…maybe my grandma…I don't remember which," I replied.
"But you help me keep my Yami back how…how did you do that?" he asked.
"It was the warmth of my hands on your temples," I replied, "It was relaxing to you."
He paused and then grabbed his shirt and put it on. "It's time to go," he said before grabbing his deck and duel disk. I was handed a jacket and then we headed to the coordinated in the map which these locator cards created. Once we got to this unfinished stadium we saw a huge blimp. We stood in the shadows while Marik gave instructions to the man with the tattoos on his face. Soon more people started to arrive and I saw Yugi and the gang, and Sasha.
"Not yet," Marik said grabbing my wrist when I tried to take a step forward.
"Yugi, Jewels is close," I heard Sasha say.
I looked at Marik and he walked ahead of me. Joey turned and smiled at him which was kind of odd.
"Hey Namu, looks like you got six locator cards too…oh my god," Joey said finally seeing me.
"JEWELS!" Sasha screamed tackling me, "Where were you?"
Now here's the deal, I was completely incapable of lying to my sister, so the truth would come out later…but for now I needed to try and lie.
"I don't know really," I said, "But once I got away from the guys who kidnapped me, I found that I was in an area of town that I wasn't familiar with and I ran into Namu. I told him that I was lost and he told me that he would help me and when I saw his duel disk I said that a couple of my friends were duelists and when I described Joey he said that he had met you and would help me find you." I smiled at Marik and then looked at Sasha.
Sasha eyed me and I gave her the 'I'll tell you EVERYTHING later' look'.
"Well thank you for bringing her safely back to us," Sasha said looking at Marik.
"No problem," Marik said rubbing the back of his head.
"This is all very touching and all but we have business to attend to," we heard a cold, gruff voice say.
We all turned and saw Seto Kaiba who was standing by the blimps' step. We walked over to him and he looked at us (mostly the ones who didn't have a duel disk).
"This isn't a Holiday Inn," he said.
"Yes…but you ENJOYED mine and my sisters food," I reminded him.
"Joy is in Kaiba's vocabulary?" I heard Duke ask.
"You two may go on," Seto said.
"WE GET TO RIDE IN A BLIMP!" Me and Sasha said running into the blimp.
We waited at the top of the steps for everyone else and Kaiba reluctantly handed the "stowaways" as he called us, card keys for our room. Sasha and I looked for the room I would be sharing and I looked behind us at Marik who was walking down the same hall. I stopped for a second to see what room he was in and then entered mine.
"So tell me the truth," Sasha said turning to me.
I sighed an told her everything and I mean EVERYTHING and she sat down to take this all in.
"So Namu is really Marik, and the guy who showed up in the purple cloak is really one of his servants, and Marik had dreams about you wanting to help him, and he has a Millennium Item and a Yami, and when you touched these strange tattoos on his back you had a vision?" she asked summarizing what I had just said.
"Yup," I said sitting down in a chair, "And the thing is for some reason I want to help him…I need to help him…there's good inside him Sasha."
She got a big goofy grin on her face.
"What?" I asked.
"You think he's hot," she said.
I crossed my arms. "That is preposterous," I said.
"You always start to use big words when you're denying things," she said.
"Ok…so he's good looking," I said.
"And…" she said waiting for something else.
"He looks really good with his shirt off," I said.
She giggled as my face started to turn red.
"So you promise you won't tell ANYONE what I told you?" I asked, "Not even Yugi."
She stopped giggling and frowned, but nodded knowing that my safety was involved with me telling her what I did. "I promise," she said hooking her pinky with mine. When my sister pinky promised…it was a promise she kept.
When she let go I looked at my watch. "I have to go," I said heading to the door.
"Be careful," she said.
"I will," I said as I walked out the door. I headed down the hall and to Marik's room and knocked on the door. The door slid open and Marik was standing there.
"How much did you tell her?" he asked letting me into the room.
"I had to tell her everything," I said, "She's my twin…I'm incapable of lying to her."
Next thing I knew I found myself pushed up against the wall. "You better hope that your sister can keep a secret," he said, "Or she'll find herself in a very dark place." He pulled the Millennium Rod out from behind his back and held it up.
"She can keep a secret," I whimpered getting a little scared at this point.
"Are you scared?" he asked.
I nodded. "But I don't want to be Marik…I know there's good inside of you," I said quietly.
The Millennium Rod fell out of his hand and down to the floor and he now had his hands on the wall on either side of me. After a couple minutes of standing there he moved and went and sat on the bed not bothering to pick up the Millennium Rod. I went to pick it up just so I could put it on the nightstand but…
"Don't touch it!" he snapped.
I pulled my hand away and looked at him. "I was just going to put it on the nightstand for you," I said.
"I…I know," he said, "But I don't know what it could do to you."
I nodded.
"All duelists please report to the dinning hall," we heard over the intercom.
"That's you," I said.
He stood up walked towards me and picked up the Millennium Rod. "Let's go," he said.
We walked to the dinning hall and apparently Kaiba had made this machine where they were going to pick numbers for the order that they dueled in. Marik got number 5.
SASHA'S POV
"They seem to like each other," the Pharaoh said as we watched Jewels and "Namu" sit down at a table to eat.
"Oh yeah…maybe," I said. 'I wish I didn't have to hide this secret from him,' I thought taking a bite of my salad.
"You okay Sasha?" he asked.
"Yeah…why would I be ok?" I asked.
"You're acting kind of strange," he replied tilting his head slightly.
"I'm fine really," I said smiling.
He turned to his food and I looked over at my sister. I had to keep this secret, I wasn't going to lose her trust.
Jewels: So there's chapter 5…I hoped you liked it!
