Jewels: I do not own Yu-Gi-Oh.
"This is some really good chow," Sasha said as we sat at one of the tables eating lunch.
"Yeah…I guess its ok," I said looking at the spot where me and Marik had sat the first night we were here.
"Aww, cheer up Jewels there's-," she was cut off when we were jerked around by some kind of earthquake, "OH MY GOD! NOT THE RAMEN!" She dived after a bowl of ramen and caught it before it hit the floor.
I got up once the shaking stopped and went over to the window and looked out and looked towards the top of the tower. 'What in the world is going on up there?' I thought not being able to see anything.
About twenty minutes later Kaiba came stomping through the room mumbling under his breath.
"HA! You lost didn't you!" Sasha said pointing at him.
Kaiba gave her and icy stare but just walked away.
"You know, that's probably not such a great thing to do," I said.
"Yeah…you're probably right," she replied.
"I face Yami Marik this afternoon," The Pharaoh said as he walked up to us.
I just nodded. At this point all I could do was hope for the best.
-That Afternoon-
"I'm sure Marik would understand if you didn't want to see all of this," Sasha said as I stared at the elevator of the tower.
"No, the Pharaoh is right," I said looking at her, "Marik needs me to be strong…I'm still scared though."
"That's ok," Sasha said. Her green eyes, which normally had a playful gleam to them, were now full of concern and that wasn't something I was used to. But I guess everything about this whole situation was concerning.
We walked into the elevator and stepped out and Yami Marik and the Pharaoh were doing the whole pre duel stuff, and then the duel started…well actually it was a Shadow Game and there was another catch. Marik and Yugi were floating above Yami Marik and the Pharaoh and if Yami Marik lost points a piece of Marik would fade away and if the Pharaoh lost points, a piece of Yugi would fade away. Whoever lost…would be lost in the shadow realm forever.
"MARIK!" I yelled when I saw him.
He weakly looked towards me and gave a small smile.
"I'm sorry I couldn't keep him away," I said as I felt tears start to swell up in my eyes.
"It wasn't your fault Jewels," he said trying to calm me down, "I wasn't strong enough to keep him back…you did the best you could and I thank you for that. You were the bright light that I needed."
I smiled and he put his head down. I never took my eyes off Marik during the duel. I sadly watched as he slowly faded away, knowing that there was nothing that I could do for him. Soon there was nothing but part of his head, eye, and mouth left.
He turned and looked at me. "I fell in love with you Jewels," he said before his mouth faded away.
"I fell in love with you too," I said.
"Oh boo hoo," I heard Yami Marik say, "He fell in love with you, you fell in love with him…it's such a sad story."
"Shut up you!" Sasha said shaking her fist at him.
He just chuckled and turned back to the Pharaoh. The duel continued and the last bit of Marik started to disappear when Odion came out of the elevator. He yelled something to Marik about his responsibilities as a tomb keeper. And then all of a sudden Yami Marik was gone and Marik was weakly standing across from the Pharaoh. He forfeited the match and the shadows disappeared and we could see the bright blue sky again.
The Pharaoh walked to Marik and Marik handed him what I was guessing was The Winged Dragon of Ra. Marik then turned to Ishizu and Odion who had walked over to him and he had a quick conversation with them before he once again turned to the Pharaoh.
"We would like to tell you about the story of the Pharaoh's memory," Marik said before taking off his shirt and turning around.
"You're right," Sasha whispered to me, "He does look good with his shirt off."
We both giggled and we listened to Ishizu tell the story about the Pharaoh's memory. When she was done Marik handed the Millennium Ring and Rod to the Pharaoh and then looked towards me.
He ran over, put his hands on my hips, picked me up, and spun me around and then kissed me.
"I missed you so much," I said after he put me down. I put my hand on his cheek and he leaned his hand against it.
"I missed you too…though…I was never truly without you," he said leaning down.
"I know…I was your bright light in the dark," I said meeting him in a passion filled kiss.
"I don't mean to interrupt this little love fest, but there are other things that need to be taken care of," Seto said sounding slightly disgusted.
We walked to the elevator and the whole time I was in Marik's arms. I don't think he was going to let me go…and at that point, I didn't want to let him go either. Once down to the ground we had to rush to the chopper that was waiting because Seto was going to blow up the island we were on or something.
"HE'S NUTS!" Sasha yelled as we ran to the chopper.
"Yeah…that is nothing new," I said.
The chopper got off the ground just in time as the island started to blow…but we didn't see Kaiba. Until we saw a Blue-Eyes White Dragon jet pull up next to the chopper.
"WE WANT A RIDE!" Sasha and I yelled pressing our faces up to the glass of one of the windows.
We slowly turned and looked at our friends who were staring at us.
"I mean…that's cool…never would of thought of something like that," I said.
"Yeah…it's very creative," Sasha added.
It was a long and very uncomfortable journey back to Domino city, but it gave me a Marik time to talk and I made a decision that I wasn't to sure that Sasha was going to take well.
-The Domino Docks-
"I'm sure we'll meet again very soon Pharaoh," Marik said as we stood across from him, Ishizu, and Odion.
"Yes, I'm sure we will too," the Pharaoh replied.
Sasha was looking from me to Marik and back again. "But you…and him…are in love…he just can't leave," she said.
"He's not," I said walking over and lacing my fingers with Marik's, "I'm…going with him Sasha…I made a decision and also even without the Millennium Necklace Ishizu still gets visions and she had one about me and Marik."
Sasha's jaw dropped open.
"What was the vision about?" the Pharaoh asked for her.
"I had a vision the Marik and Jewels would get married," Ishizu said.
"Oh that's wonderful," Téa said.
"Then…then…then you're getting married here in Domino," Sasha said, "And I'll plan the wedding."
"Sasha…" I started but stopped knowing that there would be absolutely no changing her mind.
"It will also give me a little more time to spend with you before you leave," she said.
"Alright," I agreed, "What do you think Marik?"
"As long as you're happy, I'm happy," he said.
-Three Weeks Later-
We decided to have the wedding in the restaurant because it would be free to have it there, and Sasha, Serenity, Téa (even though Sasha really didn't want her help), and Mai, had decorated the whole place for the wedding.
"I don't know if I can do this," I said as Sasha finished pinning up my hair in delicate curls, in the office.
"You can…I know it," she said, "Marik loves you and you love him."
"How's Marik holding up?" I asked.
"Odion said that he has the jitters, but he'll be fine," she said double checking my make-up.
-Kitchen-
MARIK'S POV
"I'm surprise you still know how to make one of those," Ishizu said as she walked into the kitchen and saw me putting together a flower necklace.
"So am I," I said, "But…in the dream that Jewels and I shared she asked me if I could make her one because she saw the one I made for you in her vision…I figured that this could be my gift to her." I carefully placed the necklace in the box that I had sitting on the counter and put the lid on.
"She's going to love it," Ishizu said.
"Vision?" I asked her.
"My opinion," she said before she left the kitchen.
Not long after Solomon Moto, Yugi's grandfather (who would be walking Jewels down the aisle due to some problems with her father), walked in.
"Do you have your present for Jewels?" he asked.
"Right here," I said handing him the box.
He took it and left the kitchen and I went out and took my place up at the front of the room.
JEWEL'S POV
Grandpa Moto walked into the office and smiled at me. "Jewels you look beautiful," he said.
"Thanks Grandpa Moto," I said.
"This is the present from Marik," he said handing me a box.
I opened it and saw a necklace made out of flowers.
"It's so pretty," Sasha said looking over my shoulder.
"He made it," I said.
She helped me put it on lecturing me about the fact that it took her almost two hours to do my hair and she wasn't going to let it get messed up.
"You ready?" Sasha asked.
"Yeah," I said.
Sasha went out to go take her place up front and I linked arms with Grandpa Moto. When the music started we walked out of the office and walked down the carpeted path. It was a very small wedding, just our friends and of course those family members who were closest to us (Being just Sasha, Ishizu, and Odion).
I looked at Marik and he smiled. He looked very handsome in his suit and the fact that his eyes were lit up the way they were made him look even more handsome. When grandpa Moto and I got up to the front he handed me off to Marik and we turned to the Priest.
(I'm not going to go through all the vow mumbo jumbo…sorry guys)
"You may kiss the bride," the priest said and Marik leaned over and kissed me.
Our friends cheered and when Marik and I pulled away from each other at that point I was just speechless.
-The Reception-
"When the Battle City Tournament began things were pretty normal for me and Jewels," Sasha said starting her speech, "Through some very strange circumstances though she met the love of her life. I've heard people talk about how love is tested every once and awhile by a fight over the silliest little thing or rough patches. But I think we can safely say that nothing can beat the test that they went through these past few days; a demented Yami and facing certain doom."
The people in the room laughed and then she continued.
"But their love was strong and I'm sure through marriage it will continue to be just that," she said, "But Marik if anything happens to her you will find my foot so far up your-."
"Sasha," I said stopping her while she was ahead.
"Right…Anyway, congratulations," she said.
While everyone was eating Ishizu turned to me. "By the way Jewels, since you're coming to Egypt…I thought I might let you know that I'll be able to get you a job at the museum if you would like," she said.
"That would be great Ishizu," I said, "Thank you."
"Well Mrs. Ishtar are you looking forward to your first time in Egypt?" Marik asked after Ishizu turned back to her food.
"Mrs. Ishtar…I like that," I said, "And yes…where will we be staying?"
"Ishizu offered us the spare room at her place until we find a place of our own," he said.
I smiled and kissed him.
-The Next Day at the Airport-
"I DON'T WANT YOU TO GO!" Sasha cried as she held onto one of my ankles.
"Sasha…I have to," I said trying to pull my leg away, "And trust me when I say that I'll miss you as much as you miss me."
She looked up at me sadly and then got up and flung her arms around me.
"It's not really good-bye," Marik said to her, "You'll see her before you know it."
She let go of me. "Call me when you get there ok," she said.
"Of course," I said.
Marik, Ishizu, Odion, and I headed to the terminal and I took one look back at my sister who was standing there with Yugi. I waved and then headed towards the plane. As the plane took off I watched as Domino slowly faded away.
"Try and get some sleep Jewels it's a long flight," Marik said handing me the tiger blanket that Duke got me as a wedding gift.
I nodded and put my head on his shoulder and after awhile of reading a magazine to relax myself I drifted off to sleep.
-12 Hours Later-
"Welcome to Egypt Jewels," Marik said as we walked out of the airport.
"Wow," I said, "There's so much sand…"
"You'll get used to it," he said leading me to a car that was waiting for us.
My head was basically on a swivel during the ride to Ishizu's place. I was looking at the people, the places, the things, everything was so new and I didn't want to miss anything.
"We're here," Marik said finally.
I looked at the nice little apartment building and then at Ishizu. "This is where you live?" I asked her, "I picture maybe a small house."
"Actually you and I have a nice cozy apartment," he said.
"What?" I asked, "How? When?"
"Ishizu has a friend," he said.
"Of course she does," I said as we got out of the car as grabbed our bags and walked into the apartment building.
Our apartment was basic, two bedrooms, one bathroom, kitchen living room, and dining room area.
"This is nice," I said. I heard the door close and then felt Marik's arms wrap around my waist and rested his head on my shoulder.
"We are going to start a new life together, just you and me Jewels," he said.
"Yeah…just you and me," I said
THE END
Jewels: Ok peeps here's the reason I redid this and ended it here…I got writer's block on this story and it just wasn't going anywhere, but I hoped you still liked it *gets ready to dodge sharp objects*
