After several hours of begging, mostly from Hawkeye and Oz, it is agreed by the others to let "Alley Boy" reside with them until he finds his friend. Cygnus is overjoyed to have a new, young companion to play with while the others were busy. She adores his accent very much and constantly asks him to speak just so that she can hear it.

"It was nice of y'all to let me stay a bit! I much appreciate ya help very much, young missy," Evan repeats for her. Shortly after the agreement for him to stay was made, "Alley Boy" revealed his name to be Evan Eithers. He laughs a bit at Cygnus' unnecessarily loud applause. Both of them are too occupied to overhear the conversation the older residents are having upstairs in Oz, Irena, and Cygnus' room. Most of them were either seating or standing. However, Oz is currently pacing back and forth as she shares her thoughts with them, crushing everything under her feet in the process.

"Having another child around isn't so bad, y'know," she states confidently. "With Evan around, Cygnus will finally have something to do and we won't have to worry about upsetting her when we pass out on the kitchen table after a hard day's work! Not only that, but he can support our cause to prove that not all Unwanted are evil! Unwanted or a Regular, he is a good addition to our team! Then there's that friend of his, if we can find that friend then that's even better! Just imagine us! As one big happy family, we can actually change the way society views us and live normal lives like how we used to when we were little!" Oz halts in her tracks and beams at them," From what Evan said, he's friend is an Unwanted too-"

"Or a figment of his imagination, Oz," Neinheart interrupts as usual.

"But if he's real then he's an Unwanted!" she counters," He can help with our patrol if he wants too! That means one less broken area for Mihile and Irena to patrol! I can see it, guys! The future is bright! It'll be full of rainbows and flying pigs…" The red head trails off as she fantasizes about her imaginary future.

"I don't think Evan is the only one takin' drugs," Hawkeye jokes, rapping his knuckles on his head for emphasis. Neinheart mutters his agreement and flicks Oz in the forehead to snap her back into reality. She's shocked by his action but is more or less with them once more. "I have ta admit that Oz has gotta point when she says we can get help. Our future seems pretty bright with that Evan kid on our side!" They high-five each other and happily hop about in their odd way to show each other's affection. "We can conquer worlds at the rate this is going for us! Of course, we ain't actually gonna conquer the world 'cause that contradicts our whole goal in the first place." He swiftly adds upon seeing the unamused look Irena was giving him. It is quiet for a moment until the quietest among them speaks up for once.

"Can we really allow this to happen?" Eckhart inquires bitterly," If they do join up with us, they are at risk of losing their lives from the other Unwanted. We're currently tight-roping over a pit of venomous snakes by just having Cygnus and Neinheart live with us. Just imagine what it would be like to add on two more to that deal. Not only that, but we can only just barely feed some many mouths…" Oz and Hawkeye pout at his logic and stop their fooling around. "I may also want to add that, aside from Cygnus, you two pigs consume the most food," he adds lightly.

"Oh? Eckhart throwing a joke? How unlike him!" Irena says just as lightly, chuckling a bit at Eckhart's annoyed reaction. "We can discuss about that later. Our current problem now is where Evan will sleep." Hawkeye's hand immediately shoots up to volunteer his and Neinheart's room, but Neinheart swiftly drags it back down.

"I insist he stay with Mihile and Eckhart. I refuse to let in another pigsty!" he scoffs," I'm already drowning in Hawkeye's filth, I don't need a stranger's to add on to it!"

"One must not judge a book by its cover or the contents on its back, Neinheart," Oz smiles at him. "I'm sure he's clean! If he isn't then Mihile and Eckhart can whip him into shape. Just imagine what a soldier he'll be once they're done with him!" After a little bit of arguing and protesting, most of which came from Neinheart and Eckhart, it is decided that Evan will bunk with Mihile and Eckhart from then onwards until his friend is located. Mihile is ordered to construct another small bed for him and Oz goes off to find a spare blanket for him. Everyone else proceeds to go back to what they had originally planned for the evening. Eckhart heads off for his patrol, bidding most of them a farewell before he does, and Neinheart tries to get Hawkeye to tidy his mess while Irena edits the map. Evan and Cygnus still talk to each other, but Cygnus has moved on from his accent and now wishes to know more about his life before he had met them.

"'bout my life, eh?" Evan scratches his head as he thinks about what to say. "Well, there ain't much. I use ta live with my parents 'till they saw I wasn't…Wanted," he pauses for a moment to find the right words. "Then I guess I was sent off here and met my friend, who's real!" At the last part, Evan raises his voice a little so that Hawkeye could hear him. "Then I met you guys!" He grins widely at her before glancing over at Irena, who is currently making long strokes with her blue pen on the paper. "Hey, that's a mighty cool pen you got there, miss…"

"Irena Gale," Cygnus offers.

"Miss Irena," Evan swiftly corrects himself. Her amber eyes flicker over to him for a moment before falling back to the map.

"Why thank you, Evan. But it's just a regular ball-point pen you'd find in a convenient store at a low price," she explains smoothly.

"Still, didn't think you'd be able to get those 'round here," he points out, leaning back on the palms of his hands," So, whatcha writing 'bout?"

"I'm merely adding a correction to this map. Hawkeye messed with it again and I need to fix his mistakes whenever he does," Irena easily lies him. Evan chuckles softly a bit at the mention of Hawkeye and Cygnus gazes curiously at Irena, remembering her earlier encounter with Oz about the map, both of them oblivious to the lie. "It's getting awfully late. I know Mihile isn't done with your bed yet, Evan, but I'm sure he will gladly share a bed with you until it's completed. Cygnus, you show him to Mihile's room and then go to bed, okay?" She places the pen neatly on the table before turning her body 90° to face them. Under her clear gaze, Cygnus quickly nods her head and tugs at the hem of Evan's shirt to guide him up the stairs. Evan soundlessly climbs the steps while Cygnus makes quite a bit of noise, this little trait of his surprises her greatly.

"How do you do that?" she asks, pointing to his feet. He is taken aback for a brief moment before offering her a sweet smile.

"Use ta have a dog," he says in a voice that suggests she drop the topic. She nods; clearly reading his tone from years of living with Eckhart and silently opens the door to Mihile and Eckhart's room once they reach it. It's covered in shadows and both children take a moment to let their eyes adjust. All of the windows are blocked by thick, heavy curtains and the bed has been pushed to the wall furthest away from the windows. A single, worn desk sits just a few feet to their right and has neat piles of filled out maps on its surface. The floor makes no sounds as they march deeper into the blonde and raven's lair, as opposed to the rest of the apartment complex. "Whoa, and I thought that the town was quiet," Evan whistles, scratching the back of his head as his eyes scan his surroundings.

"Yeah, Mihile and Eckhart don't tolerate unnecessary noise," Cygnus explains to him smoothly. Her eyes dart lazily towards the maps that lay neatly on the desk and she resists the urge to just pounce on them and read their contents. "You should stay away from the maps," she instead settles with warning Evan about the maps," They don't like it when I look at them, so I guess it would apply to you as well." Evan's eyes follow Cygnus's gaze and a small spark appears in them for a split second before fading away quickly. He turns his attention towards the bed, covers quickly, but neatly, folded and waiting for someone to come and rest up.

"Been a while since I last slept on a bed," he tells Cygnus grimly," Me and my buddy have been roughing it out the past few weeks all by ourselves since my parents up and kicked me onto them streets with those others. If it weren't for Mir, I'd been long dead," Evan sighs and gives her a smile," I'm sure glad Hawkeye found me 'fore them others got ta me. I owe you one, really." Evan shoots Cygnus a look of pure gratitude and she offers him a smile in return.

"Don't mention it! It's just really nice to see a fellow Unwa-'Other'," the young blonde quickly corrects herself before she could slip up, not wanting to offend Evan by her word choice," that doesn't try to kill us."

"Well, I sure do try my best to not kill anyone," he chuckles jokingly. "Can't remember how long it was since I've had the urge to kill somebody, y'know?" Cygnus's hand flutters over her mouth as she stifles down a laugh and starts to head towards the door.

"I'm sure you're trying your hardest, Evan…" she says to him by the doorway," Irena and the others will probably find your friend soon. However… I'd like it if you stayed and helped us with our cause." Evan turns to Cygnus and crosses his arms across his chest, a thoughtful look on his face. A hum escapes from deep within him and she practically leans in in anticipation. After what seems like a century, Evan speaks up with a lopsided grin on his face,

"I don't see why not!" he tells her enthusiastically," I'd love to help you out, and I'm sure my friend would be just as delighted!" Cygnus beams at him and throws herself into his arms, causing him to stiffen with shock.

"Thank you. Thank you. Thank you," Cygnus says in repeat, like a broken record. His body slowly relaxes and he wraps his arms around her as well, smiling gently at her glee filled expression. "We can tell the others once they find your friend!"

"Yes, but for now we should both get ta bed, alright?" Evan whispers gently. Before she can respond, Evan ushers her out of the room and bids her good night, firmly shutting the door behind her. The room plummets into everlasting darkness once the door is shut. However, Evan remains unfazed by it.

Slowly, his light blue eyes drag over towards the pile of maps on the desk and he moves to step towards them. However, his attention snaps towards the door when his ears catch the sound of stomping footsteps making their way up the stairs and Cygnus's exclamation of: "Oh hello, Mihile! Are you going to bed now?" warns Evan of Mihile's approach. With one last glance at the maps, Evan turns and dives messily into the bed, throwing around the covers here and there to give himself the appearance of being asleep, even ruffling up his hair in an attempt to fake sleep.

Evan buries his head just seconds before the door clicks open and Mihile marches into the room. As Mihile goes to change into his pajamas, Evan allows his mind to drift into the land of dreams.

Not as long as I had hoped, but I'm trying my best with this whole commitment thing (Story-wise! I can be committed to homework and school and whatnot!).
