When Charlie opened his eyes, his savior was staring down at him, dark brown eyes wide and curious.
"He's awake, now what do I do?" The boy asked to an unknown person. Charlie could only turn his head to see an older man in a tan jacket crouch over him, pulling out a knife to saw at his bindings.
"Uh, hey… I'm Alex and this is my brother… Josh. You're, uh… Well, I… Uh…" Charlie rubbed his wrists and sat up, looking at the new, unfamiliar man.
"I'm okay, right? Can you help me find my dad? I'm scared and I don't like this place…" He said quietly, trembling from the cold. Alex took off his jacket and let the boy wrap up in it.
He stopped trying to explain and nodded stiffly. "Yeah… If Josh didn't hear you, you would've been done for…" Josh took the hint and helped the boy up.
"Let's go to town and see if anyone knows where your dad is, I'm sure someone'll know."
