Enjoy!
The next morning at breakfast, Blaine was surprised to see a school owl drop a letter in front of his pumpkin juice. He wasn't expecting anything and his family would have just sent one of the Anderson owls, not a school owl.
The Gryffindor picked up the envelope and examined it closely. It was blank and gave no hint to who sent it.
Cautiously, Blaine opened the envelope. There was a small piece of parchment inside. It wasn't signed but Blaine would recognize the handwriting anywhere.
Sebastian.
Glancing around nervously to make sure that no one was paying attention, Blaine read the note.
If you still even care the tiniest bit about Kurt, be at the Divination room at midnight tonight. Come alone.
Blaine's hand shook nervously as he tucked the note into his inner robe pocket. Why did Sebastian want to meet with him? Why was Kurt involved? There was no doubt in Blaine's mind that he was going. If Kurt was involved, he would do whatever Sebastian demanded.
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Blaine stepped inside the Divination room nervously, looking around for Sebastian. He was surprised to spot Kurt, who looked mildly surprised to see him as well.
"You actually came," Kurt whispered. "I wasn't sure that you would."
"What's going on?" Blaine demanded.
"We want to talk to you about something," Sebastian started.
"What?" Blaine asked suspiciously. Kurt stepped forward, twisting his hands in front of him nervously.
"I want to apologize first," he said, "for everything that happened last year and for everything that's happened this year. It wasn't fair to you and I regret hurting you every moment I'm awake."
Blaine shifted awkwardly, unsure of what to say. After a few tense seconds, he decided to say nothing. Kurt continued.
"I know you can't immediately forgive me but I'm hoping that you'll at least try because I'm so tired."
Blaine gave the Ravenclaw a confused look.
"I'm tired of hurting the people around me because I can't make a choice. If it continues like it has been, I'm just going to end up hurting more people, including you and Sebastian. I wasn't completely happy when I was dating you and I'm not completely happy with Sebastian right now."
Both Blaine and Sebastian flinched, causing Kurt to grimace.
"Sorry," he apologized. "That came out harsher than it was supposed to."
"S'alright," Sebastian murmured. Blaine remained silent.
"Anyway," Kurt continued, "there was only one time when I felt completely whole. When I was with both of you."
Blaine's eyes widened.
"I want that feeling again," Kurt whispered. "I want to be with both of you. It's the only way I can be happy and I have a feeling that it's the only way Sebastian will be happy as well. Maybe it even applies to you, Blaine."
Blaine shifted on his feet again. As usual, Kurt had hit the nail head on and Blaine hadn't even realized it was the truth until it had been said out loud.
"What are you saying?" he asked.
"Would you be willing to date us?" Sebastian interrupted. "Both of us?"
"Both?" Blaine repeated dumbly. He hadn't expected the conversation to go like this.
Kurt and Sebastian nodded.
"I know I'm a bit of a prat," Sebastian said. "But I'd like it if you gave me a chance."
"And I'd like it if you gave me another chance. I'll try not to screw up this time," Kurt added.
"You didn't screw up—" Blaine protested. Kurt rolled his eyes.
"Yes, I did. I know it and you can't deny it."
"I can still try," Blaine muttered. Sebastian smirked as Kurt sighed.
"So, what do you say?" the Slytherin asked, shifting his weight from one foot to the other. He didn't deal well with waiting.
Blaine swallowed nervously as two pairs of eyes stared at him.
"Um…" His mind was blanking. Blaine knew that he should say no, that there was no way that a three-way relationship would work out but he desperately wanted to say yes. He was so tired of being lonely.
"I suppose we can give it a try," he agreed. The other two Prefects looked surprised at his answer.
"Blaine, I understand that with everything that happened this year and last year, that you don't necessarily trust us. However, if we want this to work, you're going to have to trust us. You're going to be brave." Blaine and Sebastian laughed at the corniness of Kurt's comment.
"Which shouldn't really be that hard to do," Sebastian said. "After all, you are a Gryffindor. You should know all about that sort of stuff."
"Oh, shut up Sebastian," Blaine said with a laugh, stepping closer to the pair. Kurt's arm wrapped around his waist and Blaine leaned into Sebastian's shoulder. For the first time in months, he felt the stress leaving his body. He knew that he wouldn't regret this decision. After everything they had been through, the Gryffindor doubted that there would be something in the world that could come between the trio.
They were happy—truly happy—for the first time in months and that's all that really mattered.
I really hoped you enjoyed this story and I would love to hear your thoughts!
