"So?" asked Dylan, "What do you say?"
"Well, Dylan..." Rainbow started.
"The answer's no, isn't it?"
"Dylan, I never said that."
"No, I get it. Who would want to go back to me any way," Dylan put his head in his hooves onto the table.
"Dylan, I never said that. I just, just don't want to be hurt by you again."
Dylan perked his head up, "I promise I won't hurt you again, I never wanted to. Rainbow Dash, I love you and I always will. If you say 'no', I'll understand. If you say 'yes', I'll be forever grateful."
Rainbow put her head on the table, "I don't know if I can believe you. How can I know you actually love me anymore?"
Dylan got up and sat beside her. "I remember our first, the accident that happened right after I came. I remember the time we were in the shower, you seemed so happy then. When you went to the Wonderbolts, got me that outfit, I saw your smile after I put it on.
"When I was in the hospital, you've visited me, when I got out I saved you from a terrible mistake. All the times I made you happy, every smile on your face, I remembered. I don't like you for your looks, I don't like you by the way you are in bed. I like you for you, I love it when I see your smile. I love the way you act. I love it when you make me smile. Rainbow,"
Rainbow lifted her head at Dylan's tearful face as he continued, "I love you," Dylan gave her a small kiss.
"Dylan, I'm flattered, but I, I," Rainbow sighed, "Alright, I guess I'll be your girlfriend again."
Dylan smiled excitedly. He hugged her saying "Thank you, I really appreciate it." Rainbow returned the hug.
Seconds later the hug broke. Rainbow said, "But Dylan, you can't come back to my house, you don't have your wings anymore..."
Dylan looked at his back, "We'll figure something out."
"How?"
"I'll just, well, buy a house I guess.
"What do you mean, do you have enough bits or something?"
"Yeah, I've saved up for the past year, I'm sure it's enough for a decent house."
"Well, if you say so..." Rainbow added.
Over the course of a few months Dylan bought a house and Rainbow already moved in.
2 years have passed and many parties have been thrown, one including Dylan's first actual beer, which he didn't like.
Dylan was sitting on his couch, a familiar box in his jacket pocket. He hears the door open as he watches her walk in. "Dylan, I'm home!" she screams, not seeing Dylan on the couch.
Dylan smiles as he gets up and hugs her. "Welcome home," he responds.
As the hug broke Rainbow said, "I was thinking over the next few months while I'm off work, we should go see Fillydelphia. I heard it's wonderful."
"I had something different in mind for this summer," responded Dylan.
"Huh? What do you mean?"
"I was thinking we should get ready for a wedding," Dylan took out the box and opened it, showing the necklace Rainbow had seen years before. "perhaps our wedding?"
Rainbow watched Dylan put the necklace on her, he was smiling as he did it. "I..." Rainbow said, "I don't know what to say..."
Dylan said his famous quote, "It's a 'yes' or 'no' question, it deserves a 'yes' or 'no' answer."
Rainbow latched onto Dylan, tears in her eyes. "Yes Dylan, I'll marry you."
Dylan returned the hug as he shed a tear too.
Invitations were passed out and Pinkie was in charge of setting up the wedding. Months have passed, finally, the day has arrived.
"You looked simpling dashing my dear," said Rarity as she saw Rainbow in her wedding dress.
"You think so, huh?" she replied, sweat dripping down her bright red face.
"What's wrong Rainbow?" asked Applejack, "You're redder than an Apple."
"And you're sweating a lot too," added Twilight.
"I guess I'm a bit, nervous. I never thought this day would come, I just don't know what to do," responded by Rainbow.
Rarity chimed in, "It's alright to feel nervous Dear, this is a once in awhile thing for most ponies. I'm sure you'll be fine."
"I hope I don't mess this up," whispered Rainbow.
Over to Dylan.
"You sure you aren't nervous Dylan?" asked Shining Armor.
"Of course not," Dylan said, lying through his teeth, "why would I?" Dylan had become a great, self-working, actor.
"Because I was nervous when I was marrying Cadence."
"Can't be too hard can it? I've seen T.V., read fanfictions. They seem pretty do-able."
"It's completely different when it's happening to you."
"Eeyup," added Big Mac.
"I'll be fine guys, it's not like I'm blowing this out of proportion."
Cadence, who was spying on the stallions' conversation, started going back to the room with the other bridesmaids.
As Cadence opened the door, Rainbow asked "How are the stallions doing?"
"Well," Cadence said, "Dylan doesn't seem to be nervous at all."
"WHAT?! How is he not nervous? How did he look?"
"Like it was any other day, maybe a great day to him."
Rainbow sighed, knowing his acting skills, "He's lying."
"What do you mean, Darling? Why would Dylan lie?" asked Rarity.
"Yeah, he said he was fine," added Cadence.
"He's acting," responded Rainbow, "when he's around other ponies that he doesn't want to know his true feelings, he acts like it isn't there."
"It's not good to keep feelings bottled up like that," said Twilight.
"That's what I've told him, he doesn't listen to that."
"I'm gonna go to the bathroom," said Dylan, "freshen up a bit." the others nodded as Dylan went to the bathroom.
He walked into the bathroom and locked the door behind him. He looked at himself in the mirror. Knowing he was alone he stopped his acting and saw himself begin to blush.
Talking to himself he said, "I'm getting married today, I barely have any idea what to do, and what's worse..." Dylan's blush darkened, "I'm marrying the mare of my dreams."
Dylan heard a noise at the door, he his his blush and said, "But what I'm wondering," he unlocked and opened the door, Shining Armor and Big Mac falling to the ground, "is why are you two spying on me."
"Uh..." said Big Mac.
"We heard you talking and wanted to know about what."
"So you decided to listen to me in the bathroom, where I could be doing Celestia knows what?" said Dylan.
The stallions blushed then quickly stood up, "Sorry about that..." said Shining Armor.
Dylan walked out of the bathroom saying "Can you leave the room for a few minutes, let me think?"
Shining looked at his watch, "I would like to but we can't..."
"Don't tell me," Dylan said looking at Shining.
"Yeah..."
Dylan sighed, "Alright, let's go.
Over to Rainbow
"It's time," Rainbow heard a voice say.
Rainbow was sitting in a chair, looked at the ground, "I don't think I can do this."
"What?"
"I can't do this, not now, I'm not ready."
Rarity said shocked, "Whatever do you mean Darling?"
"I mean I can't do this," Rainbow started to lightly cry, her face red as ever. "I'm not ready for something like this, I'm not ready for this type of commitment."
Cadence walked over to her, "I know how you feel Rainbow. Trust me, it's all in your head. That's how I felt when marrying Shining Armor, when I went out there it wasn't as bad as I thought. Just go out there, you'll be fine."
Rainbow wiped her tears and sniffled, she slightly nodded and said, "Alright, I guess I'm ready."
Minutes later Rainbow found herself standing behind a closed door. She heard a certain song and sighed. The doors opened. Her first thought was to run, instead she walked down the aisle like she was supposed to.
As the song finished she was next to Dylan, who said while smiling, "You should learn to control your blush."
Rainbow responded by saying, "You shouldn't hide yours," this made Dylan unknowingly blush.
Celestia, due to a favor from Twilight, began speaking, "We are gathered her today to unite these two hearts in the bonds of holy matrimony which is honorable estate..."
The ceremony continued, the bride and groom said their vows and the necklaces were placed on.
Celestia said, "You may now kiss the bride."
Dylan and Rainbow looked at each other and shared their first kiss, as husban, and wife.
The End.
Note from the author: Sorry about the end and cutting it short, I don't really know weddings. I was reading stuff off my phone.
