THE AFTERMATH

Nobody expected Sue Sylvester to walk up the aisle in a wedding dress. They certainly didn't expect her to be wearing an exact replica of what should have been Emma's dress. The message that she brought with her was short, blunt and very, well… Sue Sylvester.

'Emma has left the building.'

Quinn Fabray slouched back in her seat and sighed. She should have seen one this coming. Ms Pillsbury had always been a skittish woman and more so since the wedding engagement. The stress of organising the wedding must have finally driven her to insanity. Quinn had travelled all the way back to Lima, Ohio for nothing. What was the point?

A few pews in front of her sat a pair of happy-looking blondes. She couldn't help but feel a little bit wistful looking at them. She was jealous that Sam was actually happy with someone else. Fair enough, she had been the one to cheat on him with Finn, and it was two years ago but it still stung her pride! And it was because of all this that she couldn't help but stare. Sam looked incredibly handsome in his suit and his hair was a bit funny looking but it was Sam, and she couldn't care less. Her heart almost stopped when his eyes searched around the room and caught her gaze. He gave her a small smile and her face began to burn as she blushed. It was a relief when Santana started talking beside her.

'Well that was... something. Thank God, the reception's still on though! Finally, I can get some alcohol into me!' She started to get up but stopped when she saw where Quinn was staring. She rolled her eyes, 'How freaking charming!' she said bitterly. Something about those words struck Quinn as familiar. Then she remembered. They were the words that Santana had used when she and Sam had sung 'Lucky' during duets over two years ago. Back then, those words had been barely audible but now, Santana said it loud and proud. She called Quinn's name loudly and slapped her on the by arm. 'Got your fake ID Fabray?'

Quinn looked up at her and gave her trademark smirk, 'Of course I have. I wouldn't have come here without it.'
