a/n: GUESS WHO IS BACK? For the few of you that are actually reading this. I am sorry, I know I always say that, but I really am. Now I believe I will be able to update hopefully at least once a week. If I don't then you can cut me. This chapter is a little more on the M side. Okay now where were we?
"Aria, why are you calling Mr. Fitz Ezra? Are you two dating?" Mona said with her mouth wide open.
"No. We are friends and he said that since we're friends I can call him Ezra." Aria said rushed. Not just the excuse but also her voice. It was cracking just like a teenage boy's.
"Yeah, sure I totally believe you Aria. I mean we all know how much you like older men." Hanna said before walking around the alarmed couple, "C'mon Mona, we have shopping to do." Hanna continued down the hall waiting for Mona's voice to say she was right behind her, but that didn't happen. "Mona!"
"Actually Hanna, I think I am going to go to class." Mona said but not without winking at Aria and muttering something along the lines of 'good job Montgomery.'
Hanna continued down the hall toward her car in the parking lot leaving the startled people to stand in awkward silence with the air as heavy as expired syrup. "So, uh, Aria, I'll see you later?" Ezra said without looking at Aria directly and he walked back to his classroom.
Aria stood in the hall for another five minutes until the final bell rang and she went to pick up Amelia and go back to Ezra's apartment. Yet, when she got to the daycare, Amelia was nowhere to be found. Startled, Aria asked everyone and anyone if they saw where she went and if she was with somebody. Multiple people said that a man in his late forties and about six feet tall came and picked her up. The girl with the name tag that said Sara said he was named Thomas. At this point, Aria was beyond freaked out. Thomas had never picked Amelia up before, and why did he decide to now? Aria decided to go confront Tom at her old house, but she knew she should get Ezra's help. After all, the whole thing was because of Ezra.
Aria stormed through the apartment door to find Ezra sitting on the couch staring mindlessly at the tv. "EZRA! TOM HAS AMELIA!" Ezra looked at Aria confused, and as if he had never heard English before. "Ezra. Tom. Has. Amelia. DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT I AM SAYING?"
"No he doesn't Aria. She is in the bathroom in the tub."
"YOU LET AMELIA SIT IN THE BATHTUB ALONE? DO YOU NOT KNOW HOW OLD SHE IS?" She slammed the bathroom door open to find Amelia sitting in the tub, but she wasn't alone. Tom was sitting right next to her washing her.
"Aria, sweetie. I'm glad you are home. So you can take care of this god damned child that you knocked yourself up with." Tom said as he turned the water on to the hottest temperature with her still in the tub. Aria wanted to scream, but it wasn't coming out. Nothing was. She was mute. This only ever happened in her dreams, but this wasn't a dream. "Now, let's leave Amelia here while we go do our business shall we?"
Tom put his hand on the small of her back and led her to the bed. He pushed her down onto the bed while he hovered over her. He was reaching down to his pants, each move he made, Aria became more anxious. She looked around to see if there was anything she could grab without him noticing. There was a vase on the side table, but that wouldn't be enough. She needed something sharp, and she needed it now. Tom then started moving his hand up her thigh through her sweats.
"Aria, do you understand how beautiful you are, but then you had to be a whore and had to get pregnant."
"Please don't do this. Please."
"Shut up bitch!" Tom moved his hand to slap her face. "Now take off your shirt."
As Aria was taking her shirt off, she reached for the vase and hit Tom with it. While he was on the floor saying everyone curse word he knew, Aria ran out of the apartment and down the hall. She looked for the stair case, but it wasn't there, all that was there was a book case filled with dozens of copies of The Great Gatsby. She turned around to check the other side of the hall, but Thomas was right behind her pointing a hand gun at her.
"Say goodbye to all you know." Tom said as he watched her down the gun. Right as he pulled the trigger, Aria heard a loud crash and opened her eyes. She looked around her and saw Ezra holding Amelia while simultaneously cleaning a glass plate that had fallen off the counter.
"Here, let me take her. Her diaper probably has to be changed." Aria stood up from the bed and took her daughter from the man. She could feel the sweat dripping down her forehead, but she ignored it.
"Aria, are you okay? I mean, you couldn't stay still and you clearly have sweat dripping down your face. Is everything okay?"
"Yeah. It's nothing." Aria said as she put Amelia down into her crib.
"Aria." The girl gave him a look to mean nothing was wrong, "I know you. I'm not just your teacher anymore, you can promise me."
After a long awaited silence, Aria finally spoke, "I am ready to tell the police."
Ezra stared at her for what seemed an eternity until he said, "Okay."
Yes, I know this is a short chapter, but the next one will be longer. I will update as soon as I can, which might be tomorrow. Please review.
