"You were a mom...?" Dean asked, all focus turned towards the arch-angel.
"I am a mom Dean!" Gabriel said, sounding irritated.
"Yeah...that..." Dean sounded as elegant as always.
"This demon here...he is my entire reason for living." Gabriel said, hoping that cleared things up a bit.
"I bet." Dean said looking fondly at his own son, who had fallen asleep in Castiel's arms.
"Gabriel...I'm sorry." Eclipse said, looking saddened by everything that had happened.
"For what?" Gabriel asked, looking down at Eclipse, who seemed fascinated with his own bare feet.
"For abandoning you...I could have found you...I didn't think I deserved to find you." Eclipse said.
Gabriel smiled sadly and started walking over to Eclipse, who looked up with saddened eyes.
"Iad..." Eclipse said, putting his head in his hands and weeping. "E't zallu sa wojy dybs uai, uai kyzyljyk xyssyl."
(Translation: "Dad..." "I'm sorry I abandoned you, you deserved better." )
Gabriel stopped and fell to his knees. "No...I didn't...I failed you."
"Gabriel..." The name made the arch-angel flinch. "Look at me." Eclipse begged, hoping the angel would look at him.
"I'm sorry." Gabriel said, immediately breaking down and sobbing hysterically. "Lucifer fell for you and Sariel...and what the hell did I do? I stood and watched it happen. They beat you...damn near killed you and what did I do?" Gabriel said, before vanishing.
"He'll be back Eclipse." Sam said, walking over to Eclipse, who looked shocked.
"Um...yeah...ok." Eclipse said, leaning into Sam's touch.
"So, what was your name before you fell?" Sam asked, wanting to change the subject.
"Ezekiel." Eclipse said, smiling at his hunter. "My name was Ezekiel..."
"Dignified name. Much better than Sam." Sam said, holding his demon close to him.
"And what's wrong with Samuel?" Eclipse asked, curiosity lacing his words.
"Meh." Sam said, kissing the demon and breathing deeply. He wanted to memorize the demon's scent. Eclipse smelled of earth after a rainfall and the first snow of winter. Eclipse felt like home to Sam. Memories associated with the best of times were in the scent of the demon. Sitting down and drinking a hot cup of cocoa after playing for hours in the snow with Dean, or getting drenched in rain trying to get the impala started again, laughing at something stupid Dean had said, or the days with Jessica and home made cookies. Everything and anything good was in the demon before him and Sam lost himself to Eclipse, lost himself in everything the demon had to offer and that kiss that spoke louder than words ever could.
Opening his eyes Sam looked around and marveled at his surroundings. They were no longer in Dean and Castiel's house, they were in a field, open and wide and beautiful, the snow falling slowly and gracefully around them and Sam was awe struck.
"Where are we?" Sam asked and Eclipse shrugged.
"Here and there, nowhere and everywhere." Eclipse said, smiling at the look Sam gave him.
"We are in my father's garden." Eclipse said and Sam nodded before panic set in.
"Lucifer's garden?" Sam asked, worry clawing at his throat.
"Yes!" Eclipse said grabbing for Sam's hand, hoping his hunter trusted him. "He will not harm you."
"Yeah...ok...yeah...yeah!" Sam said grabbing Eclipse's hand and followed behind the demon as he walked towards the garden doors.
"Why is it snowing here?" Sam asked, reaching out and grabbing a hand full of snow and marveling at the coldness.
"My father loves the cold. He is not fond of the heat hell has." Eclipse explained, waiting patiently for Sam to finish playing with the snow.
"We're in hell?" Sam asked looking around. This place looked nothing like hell, it was beautiful, trees and roses were planted everywhere and the snow that fell gave them an unearthly beauty. They shone in the dim light surrounding them and Sam was in awe at their beauty.
"Yes. This is my father's castle. He lives differently than others do." Eclipse explained, extending his hand once more. Sam nodded and grabbed the offered hand, following Eclipse into the castle.
The doors opened to reveal what looked to be a beautiful library filled from top to bottom in books so old they must have been written thousands of years ago. There were no shelves to hold them, so they were scattered about but they looked to be well loved.
On the far corner of the room was a chair, simple and made of steel, and on said chair was a man who looked engrossed in a book. This man was hunched over so Sam couldn't see his face, but he had long golden, not blond mind you, actually golden colored hair that was draped over his face, and he was well built, from what Sam could tell, maybe the same build as Dean or maybe Castiel, he wasn't sure, he couldn't tell with the way the man was hunched over.
"Aba, I found Iad." Eclipse said, letting go of Sam's hand and walking over to the hunched figure.
"Did you now." The man said looking up at Eclipse with a radiant smile. The man was beautiful. He radiated light and happiness. His eyes matched his hair and he was white as a ghost but it suited him. He had a very prominent jaw and his nose was big but suited him.
"And who did you bring to me?" The man asked and Sam felt stunned to be acknowledged.
"Aba, this is my mate, Samuel Winchester, Sam, this is my father, Lucifer."
"He is human." Lucifer said, laying his book on a pile next to him and standing to get a better look at his future son-in-law.
"Aba, kukoh-kuk, kukah-fe'see haaez-seeae-lu weay-te." Eclipse said, glaring at his father.
(Dad, don't pester him.)
"Uai swefn za daqdu ab ty zaf." Lucifer said, and Sam was completely lost. Were they talking about him? Was he being insulted? Would he ever figure out what the hell they were saying?"
(You think so lowly of me son.)
"E kaf's qofs o lyhyos ab qwos uai kek sa Zefao!" Eclipse said. He looked a bit angry.
(I don't want a repeat of what you did to Sinoa!)
"It's nice to meet you Sam. I would like to know why you intend on hurting my son." Lucifer said and Eclipse sighed with resignation. His dad was incorrigible.
"Wh-I won't hurt him." Sam said, baffled at the statement.
"You will die, he will not. How are you and he to be happy if you will leave him in the end." Lucifer asked, holding a hand up to quiet Eclipse.
"It's not like I can control when I die." Sam said, angry at the situation.
"And if you could?" Lucifer asked and Sam looked confused.
"Then I would choose to never die in order to keep him by my side. I'm kind of selfish like that." Sam said looking at Eclipse for help, but the demon just shrugged. There was nothing he could do in this situation.
"You have a brother." Lucifer said and Sam nodded, wondering where this was going. "He is mated to my grandson, Castiel." Sam nodded again and opened his mouth to talk but was silenced with a hard look from Lucifer.
"Are you and your brother trying to hurt my family?" Lucifer asked, standing and towering over Sam.
"Excuse you? I don't care if you are the fucking devil, back the hell off. I won't hurt your son, my brother won't hurt Castiel and if we could we'd spend eternity with the ones we love, but life is life and it WILL END."
"But what if it didn't have to?" Lucifer asked, hint of a smile on his face.
"What do you mean?" Sam asked and Eclipse plopped onto the ground, resigning to his dad's irritating tendencies.
"I mean, I can give you and your brother a life with my family, a life that would never end." Lucifer said, smiling widely.
"And in return you want...?" Sam asked, cautiously.
"In return...I want to go home." Sam looked from Lucifer to Eclipse, who looked just as baffled by what his dad had said.
"And where is home?" Sam asked, hoping he didn't have to break into heaven.
"With Gabriel."
