Gabriel started drawing the symbols that were needed while Sam gathered the ingredients and Eclipse recited the spell again and again in order to learn it completely. One screw up and they could end up blowing apart the entire house.

Sam looked up at Eclipse and couldn't help but smile. He loved this demon with every fiber of his being, more so than he had loved Jessica, and that's saying something considering that Jessica's death nearly killed him. He was surprised at the outcome of his life. When he was younger he had been firm on finding a woman, getting married, having kids, a dog and the like, but now when he looked at Eclipse he saw a future, something that wasn't in the cards a while ago. When he looked at Eclipse he saw happiness and a family, not an obligation. He saw love and happiness, warmth and home. Eclipse was his home.

"Does Dean know?" Sam asked, putting the rest of the ingredients in their proper place and looking expectantly at Eclipse.

"Yes, he is aware." Eclipse said, looking up from the book with a frown.

"What's up?" Sam asked, walking over and looking at the book with curiosity.

"This is not a temporary spell." Eclipse said, looking at the words written on the page. "This is permanent. If this succeeds Aba could be brought here permanently..." Eclipse said, frowning at the book like it had wronged him in some way.

"But...?" Sam asked knowing there was more Eclipse wasn't telling him about the spell.

"He will be in need of a vessel." Eclipse said, saddened a bit at the thought of his father's features changing.

"Where are we going to find a vessel to contain the devil?" Sam asked, looking expectantly at Gabriel.

"You." Gabriel said, looking at Sam.

"Oh, HELL NO!" Eclipse said, grabbing hold of Sam with vengence.

"Not permanently dearest one." Gabriel said, looking at his son "Just until we find another option."

Eclipse shook his head and placed a hand to Sam's mouth, knowing the hunter to be rash and idiotic in times like these.

"I said NO Iad. I will not have this befall my beloved."

"Then I have no idea what we can do. There's no one else that can house him." Gabriel said, disappointment clear in his face.

"You can continue prepping, I will find Aba a suitable vessel." Eclipse said and vanished.

Sam looked at Gabriel with a glare.

"What the hell did you think that would accomplish, aside from pissing him off?" Sam asked, about ready to punch the arch-angel.

Gabriel sighed and shrugged. He wasn't thinking, not really. He wasn't even sure what the hell he would do when he saw Lucifer again. Would they pick up where they'd left off so many years ago? It didn't matter, by the looks of it, this whole thing would be a moot point anyway, seeing as how Lucifer's vessel was clearly in love with his son and there was no way they'd agree to it.

"Here!" Eclipse said, throwing a body towards Gabriel who looked baffled as he looked down at the body that was skidding to a stop near his feet.

"Who is that?" Sam asked, looking at the body in shock. It looked in perfect condition for being dead, with long black hair and small features. He was a decent looking creature, whatever he was.

"That is Sinoa's body. It will house Aba just fine." Eclipse said, turning to Sam and holding him close.

"Didn't he die years ago?" Sam asked looking at Eclipse.

"Yes, we do not rot." Eclipse said as way of explanation.

"Won't it be awkward?"

"No! I have you." Sam's heart melted at that and he smiled and buried his face in Eclipse's neck.

"Okay then, let's get this show on the road." Gabriel said, finishing up the last symbol and smiling at his handy work.

"Ready boys?" Gabriel asked and the others nodded. Sam added ingredient after ingredient into the mixing bowl as Eclipse recited the spell word for word perfectly.

Once the ritual was completed the room went dark and the symbols started to glow an eerie red before Sinoa's body was slowly filled with the grace of Lucifer.

The lights flickered back on and the occupants of the room waited with bated breath for the creature on the ground to stir.

One minute turned to two and Gabriel was beginning to panic. What if this hadn't worked, what if he was going to be alone for the rest of his existence, what if...

A gasp caught Gabriel off guard. The creature was awake and breathing in gulps of air frantically.

"Aba, breathe easy, you are free." Eclipse said, letting Sam go and sitting next to the creature on the ground.

The creature took a steady breath and opened his eyes, black as the night sky, and looked around his surroundings with curiosity.

"Where am I?" He asked, not bothering to sit up.

"You are home Aba." Eclipse said with conviction and smiled at his father.

"Darling one." Lucifer said and reached for his son for the first time in so very long. Grabbing his son he crushed him to his chest and breathed in the scent of the one creature in all the world he was no allowed to touch.

"Aba, Iad has missed you also." Eclipse said, working his way out of his father's grasp.

"I have seen you every day for so long yet have been unable to touch you. Give me this."

"No! You are home, you must tend to your duties." Eclipse said and helped his father to stand.

"Indeed." Lucifer said and turned to Gabriel and his heart stopped momentarily.

"Gabriel." Lucifer whispered, reaching a hand out to touch the arch-angel.

"Lucifer." Gabriel said, tears brimming his eyes as he looked at the devil.

Lucifer took a step towards Gabriel but Gabriel backed away slightly, worry clawing at his throat.

"I don't deserve this." Gabriel said, closing in on himself.

"Why do you say such things." Lucifer said, grabbing Gabriel and bringing the sobbing angel to his chest and holding him close. "What has befallen you?"

"I failed her...I failed Sariel...I failed Ezekiel and I failed you."

"She was killed?" Lucifer asked, sorrow lacing his words.

"Yes." Gabriel couldn't stop himself. Years of pent up sorrow and anguish were pouring out of him and he had been strong for too long. Grabbing onto the battered shirt that Lucifer was wearing, Gabriel clung to the devil with everything he was, sobbing out every bit of pain he had felt.

"It was not your doing. We can have more children Gabriel." Lucifer assured but Gabriel sobbed harder at those words.

"The ability was stripped from me when I was bound to this vessel. I can't leave the vessel and this vessel is a human male." Gabriel sobbed.

"Just as well. We are too old to breed. We have a son, healthy and happy, that is all we need." Lucifer said, kissing the top of Gabriel's head and easing his mate into sleep.

"Follow me Aba, I will show you where to place him for sleep." Eclipse said, letting Sam go and walking towards Gabriel's room.

"I'll just go...um...make coffee or something." Sam said, feeling completely idiotic in this situation. What could he do besides make himself busy anyway. He'd bake cookies but he valued the state of the house he was in to burn it down anytime soon.

Setting up the coffee pot, Sam sat at the table and waited. And waited. And waited some more. He was starting to really really get bored, but what was a man to do when their lover was getting reacquainted with their family.

The coffee pot gurgled, signaling the conclusion to its brewing process and Sam stood to grab a cup, sighing. He'd been spending so much time with his family and with Eclipse, he had no idea what to do with himself while he was alone. Grabbing the cup of coffee he sat at the table again and pulled out his phone. Maybe there was a game or two he could play, if the mood struck him.

He was deep into a game of angry birds when Eclipse cleared his throat, causing Sam to look up and smile.

"I don't do well with boredom." Sam admitted, taking a sip of his cooling coffee.

"I see that. Aba and Iad are asleep." Eclipse said, taking his own seat.

"Oh?" Sam asked, pushing his cup towards Eclipse and watching the demon take a sip.

Eclipse nodded and smiled behind the cup of coffee. He took the time to look at Sam, actually look at him and he was amazed that this beautiful creature would love him and care for him, the abomination that he was.

"I want to know about you." Sam said, taking the coffee cup back and hearing Eclipse sigh with resignation.

"You know where I came from what more do you wish to know?" Eclipse asked, folding his hands neatly on the table.

"Everything." Sam said, standing to get another cup of coffee for himself and one for Eclipse.

"When I fell to hell Aba found me, but was unable to touch me and so he was forced to find alternate means of taking care of me. It took years, but I acclimated to the situation I was under and for a time I forgot my beginning and loved my brethren – others who had chosen to fall along side us – and I came to respect the role I played in everything.

"I grew and became a successor to my father and the humans' creation was finalized. You were created and when I looked upon your faces I loved you all dearly.

"I asked Aba why this was the case and he reminded me of my origin and I cried. I had been born to love and to love deeply and with no care for others and humans were my chosen gift. The gift I was to cherish.

"Then came the day I met Sinoa. He hated humans, and they were my gift, my loves and mine to protect and so I had hated him to start. He had venom when he spoke of my humans and I hated him for it, until the day that his father had gone from our home. Sinoa was different. He was a mix of original demon and vampire, he was born in hell and he was new, perfect for the role he was cast into.

"You see, my brethren fell and took to the demonic role quite willingly, none more than Leviathan, who had originally been known as Samandriel. Leviathan was Sinoa's father, and he refused me interaction with his son, I was still known as an abomination, even in hell I was different and not cared for greatly.

"I learned Sinoa had been manipulated by his father, and so I learned of his true nature and loved him. He was a kind heart in an empty world and I loved him for it. He and I became one and had children, as you well know. We fought for the humans, as he loved them with the same passion I did, but we lost so many good people in those wars...

"It was long ago, my life is here and now, with you and the future we will build." Eclipse concluded, taking a sip of his coffee to calm himself.

"Damn...I'm sorry." Sam said and Eclipse laughed.

"What's so funny?" Sam asked looking pointedly at Eclipse.

"Humans and their need to sympathize. I am well and happy now." Eclipse said, leaning forward to capture Sam's lips in his own. "I will be happy with you."
