HELLO MY WONDERFUL READERS! I present the second chapter for What if?. There is a special surprise at the end so be sure you read the whole thing!

Wednesday had come faster than anyone had expected, even for Yuki. In fact, he was anticipating for this day for the last week. It was last Thursday that his Shu was talking with this stranger named Misaki on the phone. After that, though they didn't talk verbally, he knew that he was texting this stranger nonstop and it drove him nuts. He wasn't paying any attention to him anymore.

The best example was just last night. Shuichi was on the floor, thinking of lyrics for his new song. Yuki was sitting on the couch, reading the paper. He had gotten his latest deadline done so he had some time for himself. It was a miracle that he could even finish his novel with his mind preoccupied on Shuichi.

Speaking of the brat, he moved his paper slightly so he caught sight of the pink haired brat with this right vision. He was wearing his normal orange sweatshirt with brown khakis. He heard humming. The brat must be counting the beat of the new song, trying to think of lyrics that match the beat. He could even see the small head bobbing slightly.

Putting his paper in his lap, he looked down at him. "Oi Brat." His voice was rough as usual. Shuichi looked back at Yuki. He had a small strawberry pocky sticking out. He obviously got his attention. He let out a smile. "Why don't we go out for lunch tomorrow? You have an hour off right?"

Shuichi stopped munching on his pocky and shook his head. "Sorry Yuki. I have plans with someone else." He turned back around to work on his lyrics. Yuki sat there, deadpanned. Not only did Shuichi get excited about the mention taking him to lunch, but he rejected him to hang with someone else. If it were Hiro, he would have canceled right off the spot. He stood up and locked himself in his office for the rest of the night.

Here he was now, driving like a maniac to get to NG. He knew that Shuichi was off for lunch and he also knew that this Misaki kid was going to be there. Pressing his foot to the gas to speed up his black Mercedes, he was going to find the bottom of what the hell is going on?

Shuichi was in the lobby, waiting for his friend to show up. He looks at his watch, which read 12:05. Misaki must have just gotten out class. He heard that some college professors like to keep their students late for whatever reason; he just hoped that wasn't the case. He had gotten the text that Misaki was leaving his class a few moments ago. Shuichi couldn't understand why he was so nervous. Perhaps it was because he had a new friend that wasn't in his band. He was fan but he didn't seem like that kind of fan to take advantage of him.

He pulled out his phone and before he could even reply, he heard a loud screeching outside of the glass door. He turned and saw a red sports car parked out front. He blinked his amethyst eyes a few times before seeing Misaki and Usami-Sensei step out of the car. He let out a bright smile as he made his way over to the door.
The glass door split in half as the two men walked in. Misaki had an annoyed expression on his face as he looked at Usagi. "Usagi-San, I would have been just fine walking." He mumbled against the tin was holding.

Usagi let out a snort. "And pass up the chance of hanging out with Misaki for a few hours, not in a million years." He said in his baritone, smooth voice. He smirked when he saw Misaki's face tint pink. That tint didn't last long as his uke caught sight of his pink idol. Under normal circumstance, he would be jealous about this situation, but something about this kid didn't have him worry at all.

Misaki walked up to Shuichi and handed him a circular bear covered tin pan. Shuichi looked at it as he took it. Misaki let out a smile. "I noticed that you really enjoyed the cookies I made during your last visit so I made you some more. It's not much but it's enough to show my gratitude." He let out a nervous laugh as he touch the back of his neck.

Shuichi let out a smile. "Of course. I did enjoy your cookies." He reached his hand behind his pocket before pulling out a concert ticket and back stage pass. "Here it is." He handed them to Misaki.

Misaki took them with a large smile and sparkles going around his body. Usagi rolled his eyes at the sight. Shuichi laughed lightly. He acted that way when he got the new manga for the month. He looked at Usagi. "Oh I'm sorry. Usami-Sensei. I didn't think of you when I got the ticket. Would you like to go? I could pull some more strings to get you one."

Before Usagi could reply, a tan hand was pressed on his mouth. "Sorry Shuichi-Sama, Usagi-san has a meeting to go that Friday." He sent a glare to the older man, who in turned glared at him.

Usagi removed the hand from his mouth. "Who said that I didn't want to go? I could always just skip the meeting."

Misaki turned and pointed his finger at Usagi. "That's the thing. You ALWAYS miss your meetings if has to do something with me."

Usagi folded his arms. "Name one time."

Misaki held up his hand in a fist and lifted his fingers when he began to count the times. "My birthday, Valentine's day, New Years, Christmas" And the list continued on.

As Shuichi heard the two bicker, he looked past them and saw a black Mercedes park behind the red sports. The driver's side door opened and popped out a blonde wearing sunglasses. Shuichi let out a large smile. He put down the tin pan he was holding and proceeded to run past the arguing couple to glomp a certain author. "YYYYYUUUUUUUKKKKKKKIIIIIIIIIII!"

What Yuki didn't expect was his lover glomp him at the entrance. He and Shuichi fell to the ground with a large thud. He groaned as he sat up, only to find his pink haired lover rubbing his head on his chest. He let out a sigh. He took off his sunglasses and tried to push his brat off of him. "Get off!" He managed to push him to get him to stand up, only to feel his leg being hugged to death. He let out a frustrated sigh. Why did he come down here again?

Misaki and Usagi stopped their fighting when they heard the singer scream his lover's scream. Usagi looked down at Misak. "I should do that when you come home from now on."

Misaki blushed. "Shut up!"

Yuki looked at the pair when he heard the voice. It was no doubt. That kid was Misaki. However, the person next to him surprised him the most. "Usami." He let out a smirk. "I didn't expect to see you here? What's your business?"

"I should ask you the same thing, but I feel that it has to do with your lover." Usagi replied, looking down at the leg hugging Shuichi. "I'm here on the same business."

Yuki blinked. "This kid is your lover?" He was getting jealous of a kid that already had his own lover. He put his hand for his forehead for being such an idiot. He let out a sigh before pushing some of his bangs out of his eyes. He looked at them with a small smirk. "Well looks like we both someone."

Usagi smirked as well. "Indeed. Do you want to go out for a smoke? We need to catch up."

Yuki nodded, but realized he couldn't move his right leg. He couldn't even lift to kick the brat off. He let out a sigh before bending down and whispering something in Shuichi's ear, making the singer melt in a puddle of goo. He swiftly moved his leg.

Usagi walked up to him. "Smooth."

Yuki smirks. "Works everytime." The two authors walked out the door, leaving Misaki to tend to a puddled Shuichi.

The two seems stepped outside, watching Misaki trying to solidify Shuichi. Yuki chuckled, feeling sorry for the boy. He turned to the the other author. "So tell me..." He pulled out his cigarettes, putting his mouth. "How did you come to love that kid? Seriously..." He turned back at Misaki, who was now watching a solidified Shuichi dance around the room like a ballerina. "He's no older than the brat."

Usagi blinked. "Brat?"

Yuki turned back around, lighting the cigarette in his lips. He inhaled and exhales. "It's my pet name for Shuichi. He was very stubborn when trying to get in a relationship with me. I found it childish and called him brat. I guess it just stuck." He mumbled with the cigarette sticking out out of his mouth.

"Hmph. You're still the ice king, even to your own lover." Usagi smirks, pulling out his lighter.

Yuki glared at the older author. "You're the one to talk. You always made sure to miss work so you can be by yourself in the past. The fact you came here with the kid says a lot."

Usagi nodded, exhaling smoke. "You're right. He's still young and he has a lot of moments but I wouldn't change for the world. I'll never stop loving him. In all honesty, I wish he would tell him he loves me more often."

Yuki rolled his eyes. "That's a stupid desire."

Usagi looked at Yuki. "Really now? Tell me, do you like the pinkette?"

Yuki narrowed his eyes. "What kind of damn question is that?"

"Just answer it." The older author grumbled.

Yuki exhaled a loud sigh. He hated being asked these kind of questions. "You tell me. He lives with me, eats with me, sleeps with me, both sexual and cuddling. Does it sound like I like him?"

Usagi chuckled. "Pretty much. Okay next question; How long have you been together?"

"Five years." Yuki said almost instantly. He glared at Usagi. "What's all this have to do with my comment about your desire."

"I'm getting to that. Now, I can see that he is the same age as Misaki, if not older. Misaki is twenty-one right now. However, unlike Misaki, who is actually a normal student, Shuichi is a pop star that is very popular with the young generation, wouldn't you say?" Usagi explained.

"What. Does. This. Have. To. Do. With. Your. Point?" It was quite obvious that Yuki was getting pissed off at Usagi.

"What would you do if someone tried to take Shuichi away from you, claiming they love him, and he goes with them because he doubts your relationship because your inability to convey your feelings to him?"

The minute he heard that question, Yuki's angry expression turned into one of shock. Could that actually happen? "You're being too optimistic."

"I truly wish I was." Usagi mumbled. He turned around to look at the forgotten ukes, laughing with each other as they look at a manga. "I cannot tell you how many times I fear of losing Misaki to someone else."

Yuki listened, looking back at his own lover. Shuchi looked like he was enjoying the other uke's company. "If you say you fear of losing your lover, aren't you worried with Shuichi?"

Usagi shook his head. "No. For once, I'm not worried."

Yuki then threw out his own bud to the ground. "How can he be sure?"

"When he came to return Misaki's wallet, which dropped when Misaki was running home, all he spoke about most of the time was you. It quickly diminished any jealousy that I had for him. I will admit that I get irritated that Misaki wishes to spend most of time wanting to hang out with him, but...I don't know but something about the pinkette is something I don't mind. He's a good kid."

"How very unselfish of you." Yuki let out a smirk. He looked at his lover through the window. Shuichi looked up from his manga to look at the semes. He smiled and waved at Yuki. Misaki turned around and waved back as well. "The question you first asked...the one if I liked him. I wasn't completely honest about it."

"Oh? Then what is the real answer?" Usagi smirked.

"I love him. No one will take him from me. I know one way to make sure it won't happen."

While the two authors were talking outside, Misaki and Shuichi were inside having a good time in each other's company. It's been nearly a week since they had seen each other because of their busy schedules. Shuichi adored Misaki. He reminded Shuichi of himself when he's not busy with music.

However there was a problem. As Shuichi was laughing for something in the manga, he noticed that Misaki had a sadden look on his face. Shuichi looked at him. "What's wrong, Misaki-Kun?"

Misaki looked up, a sad smile plastered on his face. He reached up to rub the back of his neck. "Ah, sorry Shuichi-Sama. I'm just stressed over something dumb."

"It can't be something dumb if you are sadden in front of one of your favorite idols. Come on, tell me. It's better than having it bottled in."

Misaki put down his hand and nodded. "I wish to apologize. Dumb is not the word to describe this problem. If anything, it's not dumb at all. I just feel that way for making it go on this long." He paused for a moment. "You see … I'm not very good at conveying my feelings well. It's been a long time since I told Usagi-San that I . . .I . . .uM . . .I . . ."

"Love him?" Shuichi asked.

Misaki held up his hands. "No! No! It's not that I love him . . .It's just . . .I . . .. Strongly . . .like him . .. " He stopped when he saw his idol cross his arms over his chest, arching an pink eyebrow. "Yes. I love him. I just . . .can't tell him . . .directly."

"You should." Misaki widened his eyes. He looked at Shuichi, shocked. "Trust me. I know how it feels to be in a relationship when your lover doesn't tell you often their feelings. Yuki never tells me he loves but I just know . . .he does. His actions and attitude may be cold, but he's like that with everyone! He always softens up when I'm the only one in the room."

Shuichi chuckled as he saw Misaki blush. He continued. "I know it's hard to state your feelings verbally but there is other ways of doing it." A sudden light bulb lit in his mind and he stood up. "I got the perfect way!"

Misaki blinked. "How would we do that?"

Shuichi let out a grin. "Do you have anymore important classes today?" Misaki thought about it. All he had left was math class, but they are going over a topic that he was well educated on. To miss an opportunity to have more time to hang with his favorite music idol, he wasn't an idiot for that. For that, he shook his head. "Good. Wait here. I know how to make Usami-Sensei disappear."

Shuichi stood and walked out of the lobby, standing in front of the two authors. Misaki just sat there and watched his idol talk to both authors. Yuki just stood there stone cold while Usagi made a few disapproving looks for a few moments before a shock looked erupted on his face. However, the shocked look was replaced with that all-knowing smile. This couldn't be good.

With a nod from his head, Usagi turned and walked back to his red car. Shuichi looked at Yuki. Yuki nodded as well and walked back to his Black Mercedes. With proud grin on his face, Shuichi turned back and walked back in the lobby. "Ok. We're all set."

Misaki stood up and blinked. "What did you say to convince Usagi-San to leave?"

Shuichi let out a nervous chuckle. "I sort of told him that he can come to the concert on Friday and you wouldn't complain about it."

Misaki had a deadpanned look. He should be mad, but if it were just the concert, it would be no big deal. "Well . . .I guess that's understandable."

Shuichi nodded. "Yeah. Let's get to the studio. This were the big plan begins." Misaki smiled brightly and nodded. Shuichi hoped that Misaki won't be mad at him for promising Usagi in getting him a maid costume.

Friday appeared in a snap of fingers. Shuichi was on the stage with rest of the band, preforming Spicy Marmalade. Misaki was standing backstage with Usagi and Yuki, who ironically enough surprised most of the staff that he even showed up.

Misaki was wearing simple blue jeans with a white sweatshirt. He had his hands up from excitement. Shuichi had warned him that the stadium could get quite cold backstage so they can cool off when they have their intermission. Usagi was wearing his normal blue undershirt with yellow tie and grey vest. His arms were crossed over his chest, letting a smile break on his face. Yuki was wearing a dark blue shirt, the first few buttons undone, with black pants. His posture was similar to Usagi.

"He's so amazing!" Misaki cheered.

"I have to admit, he's very good." Usagi acknowledge. Yuki remained quiet for now.

Shuichi on the stage was wearing his stage outfit, comprised of the black belly shirt and shorts, the yellow jacket with the orange inning and his black fingerless gloves.

The music died down, and loud cheer could be heard echoing throughout the stadium. Shuichi let out a good breath. He raised his arm in the air. "You having a good time tonight?!" Screams came to his eardrums, making him chuckle. "Well we only have time for one more song." The screams turned into groans. "I know. I know. I wish I could party all night long."

"Anyway, the final song we are about to preform is actually a brand new one we just wrote in a few days! Can you believe that?!" The cheers came back. "Alright. Now let me hear a loud scream if you are in a relationship?" The screams became louder. "That's what I want to hear!" The audience died down a bit as he began to speak. "Now, I want to bring out the person who helped us the lyrics. Hell, he practically wrote them!" He turned to the side of the stage. "Get your ass out here Misaki!"

Misaki felt his heart drop as his idol called him over. He stood for a second before walking towards the stage. The bright light hit his body as he became public to the audience. The audience cheered for him as he walked out, coming towards Shuichi. He smiled before giving slight bow. He waved nervously to everyone. Usagi was wondering what the hell the singer was doing. Misaki was terribly shy in front of strangers.

Shuchi smiled. "This is my good friend, Misaki. He was a great help for the new song." Turning to his friend, he smiled. "Since you helped write the song, would you like to sing it?" A loud cheer came after the question.

Misaki took the mic and put it near his mouth. "Not if you want it butchered." Laughter broke out between Shuichi and the audience. Misaki had a small laugh as well.

Shuichi took the mic back. "Alright. I have to ask . . .is there a song who you want to dedicate this song to?"

Misaki let out a gulp. He took the mic again. "M-My . . .lover" His face was beat red. A loud "awww" came from the audience. Usagi widened his eyes at the confession. Yuki chuckled at Usagi's reaction.

"Alright! Let's get started!" As soon as Shuichi said this, a light piano music began to place. Misaki looked around and sat on a stool, watching Shuichi as he began to sing.

I love you

I love you

I love you

I love you

I'll say it countless times over

Since I was born to tell you after all…

The bass that Hiro was playing had picked up as well as a small beat. From back stage, Usagi widened his eyes and let out a smile.

The hands of the clock strike 3AM

A sudden call from you

Calling at such a time, you're so thoughtless

But it still makes me kinda glad

While rubbing these sleepy eyes of mine,

Hearing your voice over the phone.

Though it's just a silly conversation,

It seemed like happiness.

We sometime grow distant due to the most trifling of things

Lapsing into arguments form time to time

But until I met you,

I was empty inside.

I love you

I love you

I love you

I love you

I'll say it countless times over

Since I was born to tell you after all…

With the last note, a loud cheering was erupting throughout the audience. Shuichi let out a sigh, looking back at Misaki. He was near tears in his eyes. Shuichi moved his head towards the side of the stage. Misaki turned to look at Usagi. He couldn't see his expression but he could tell that he was happy. Misaki stood up from the stool and made his exit off the stage.

However, just as Misaki left the stage, another person came on stage. Yuki made his way over to his lover, who had turned just in time to look at him. To say he was shocked was an understatement. He was petrified with amazement.

"Yuki, why are you here?" Shuichi accidently asked in the microphone.

Yuki held his hand out for the microphone. Shuichi blinked and handed it to him. "There is something I want to ask you. I have something to say first." Yuki replied, picking up the stool with one while holding the mic in the other. He set the stool by Shuichi, gesturing him to take a seat. The pinkette took a small seat.

Yuki let out a sigh before beginning. "Five years ago, a small brat had came into my life and annoyed the hell out of me." The audience started bursting out laughing at that statement. Shuichi turned pink. "He was loud, annoying, and wanted to cuddle any chance he got. And after five years, that still hasn't changed" The laughter only got louder. Shuichi stuck out his tongue. "At first, it drove me insane. Then I actually started to get crazy because I had gotten used to it, and now . . .I'm completely insane because I never want it to end." A mixture of awws and cheers came from the audience. Shuichi looked shocked at that last confession.

Yuki took a deep breath. "Shuichi Shindou, though you are the most annoying brat on the face of this planet, I cannot imagine how my life would have turned out if I had never met you. It would probably be as dull as it was before. You made it so much better" Shuichi at this point actually was in tears. He brought his gloved hand up and wiped a few tears away. "I love you Shuichi."

Shuichi then burst into tears, hearing the crowd cheer for him. Yuki put his hand in his pants pocket and brought out a velvet square box. He walked in front of Shuichi and kneeled in front of him, saying five words that Shuichi never thought he would hear. "Will you marry me, Shuichi?"
