Howdy y'all! My brother, Bladestream, has offered to start a data log of this story from Bladestream's perspective. Don't know whether or not it'll be under his name or mine yet. I'll let you know when it's up and who's posting it.

Disclaimer: I don't own anything related to Transformers. I just play with them. I only own my OC's.

Bumblebee talk

Ok, I take back what I said the other day. MECH tried again to get us. This time, Arcee's arch enemy, Arachnid, made a deal with MECH. Capture Arcee again they could have her after Arachnid snuffed Arcee's spark. MECH captured Jack's mother, June, and used her as bait for Arcee. Good news: Arcee, Jack, and June are safe and unharmed. Bad news: 1) MECH got away, 2) June now knows of our existence, and 3) Arachnid is still on the loose. I don't think she knows Arcee has a creation yet. That's a good thing.

Another good thing, Arcee and Moonracer are spending some quality time together, catching up on all that they have missed out on over the vorn. To be honest, it made me jealous. Unfortunately, I'm not the one jealous over something. Turns out, Override doesn't like me near Ratchet unless I'm injured. If I try to talk to or get in close proximity to Ratchet, she gives me looks that could melt the Nemesis. I have taken to visiting Ratchet in the late hours (yes, I'm adjusting to Earth time) of the night if I want to see him. Why am I seeking out the grouchy, Wrench-wielding medic for attention? I don't know. It'd make more sense to seek out Bladestream or Optimus, not Ratchet. Maybe it's 'cause I know he cares, I don't know.

Maybe it's 'cause I feel left out. I like being alone, but I don't like being lonely, if that makes sense. I'm the only neutral here Earth, everybody else is either Autobot or Decepticon.

I did a few barrel rolls and continued to fly over the vast Nevada dessert. I had offered to help hunt for energon and go on patrols a couple days ago, but the only thing Optimus will let me help with since I'm a neutral is hunting for energon. There isn't much to do here. A few months ago I wouldn't've cared, but I guess my spark and possessor are coming to terms with my family's termination. Sire was an Autobot, maybe it would be okay if I join them. Make a new family.

My comm. crackled to life. :: Wing Saber, you there? ::

I activated my scanners. Arcee was driving on the road below me about a quarter mile to my left.

:: Yes, Arcee. Something you need? ::

:: Ratchet says that our energon stockpile is running low. Optimus is sending me to investigate an energon signal before the 'Cons get it. He says you offered to help out. Wanna come? ::

:: Sure. ::

:: Ratch, need a bridge. ::

I flew down so that I was right above Arcee and the ground bridge burst open. When we flew through the vortex, Arcee transformed and I followed suit. I got I fix on our coordinates and found that we were in jungles in the heart of the continent called Africa. It was hot, humid, and there was tons of tall trees. The underbrush made it difficult to spot and avoid animals.

Arcee's scanner beeped. "The signal's this way. We can cover more ground if you take to the air while I search on the ground. Can you do it?" she asked in a somewhat playful tone. I smiled. "Sure, I'll do that."

"Keep your comm. open at all times. We don't need to lose track of each other." She transformed and took off. I leaped off the ground, transformed and gunned it. I think I scorched some of the plant life in the process. I began to fly toward the energon signal. As I circled over the jungle, absentmindedly honing in on the signal, I reveled on Earth's beauty. I was in such awe over the planet. It soothed my spark. I couldn't see how anyone would find this place disgusting or repulsive.

The signal disappeared. So did Arcee's signal. Odd. In the jungle below, birds rapidly took to the air. What could have set them off? I opened the comm. link. :: Arcee? :: Static. Something was interfering with the signal. No, that resonated wrong in my spark. Not interfering, jamming. Something was jamming the signal. What was going on?

I landed in Arcee's last known coordinates. I traced her tire tread tracks and the path in the jungle brush she made. After some searching, I found an unnatural hole in the ground. Several of them. There were scratches on the trees well above my helm. On a plant, I found thick sticky webbing. It reminded me of a spider's web, but this stuff was far too thick and strong to have been made by this planet's organic spiders. I looked at the scratches on the trees, the holes in the ground, and back to the webbing. Jack told me Arachnid fired webs. In this jungle, Arachnid would have the advantage. I needed to find Arcee.

I transformed into my Predicon form. My senses of hearing, sight, and smell were heavily enhanced. It took a second to adjust to the heightened senses. I began to track the path Arcee and Arachnid took through the jungle. Arcee was easier to track as she wasn't suspended off the ground by long legs.

It didn't take long for me to track them to some cliffs. I heard blaster fire, shouts, and clangs. I followed the commotion and just when I thought I was upon them, it all stopped. I could smell them, though. I heard I femme's voice that I didn't recognize speaking. I went into predatory mode and followed their scents and came upon a clearing. Arcee was stuck to a rock face by more webbing. The femme who was doing the talking as Arcee struggled was a spiderbot. She had to be Arachnid. I crouched, growling softly in my throat.

"… and after I snuff your spark, I'll come after Jack."

I sprang. With a loud roar I pounced on a startled Arachnid, dislodging her from her perch above Arcee. Our momentum carried us of another cliff and down a hill into another clearing. When we stopped rolling I clamped down on Arachnid's throat cables with the jaws of my Predicon alt, trying to pierce or crimp the main energon line. Unlike organics, Cybertronians don't need oxygen. But our CPUs do need a constant supply of energon. Cut off the circulation of the energon flow to the CPU and a bot will suffer from similar effects as a human getting their air flow cut off.

Just as my sharp denta began to clamp down on her throat cables, Arachnid grabbed me with her spider legs and threw me off of her. I spun in midair and landed on all-fours, growling.

"A Predicon? So Arcee's found a pet as well? This will be even more fun!"

I began to circle her, keeping my body low to the ground. She shot her webs at me and I darted away, slowly working towards her. I planned to use her opinion of me being an animal to my advantage for as long as I can. I dodged webs and blaster shots and tricked her into webbing one of her legs to a tree. She cried out in anger and frustration and tried to free herself as I slid under her and transformed. Once in my root form, I transformed my servo into a blaster and shot at a leg joint, causing that leg to fall and Arachnid to give a pained shout. She freed herself and turned to me. Her optics got huge. She sneered. "You are full of surprises. Not only can you transform into a beast, but you are a Seeker femme! It'll make ripping out your spark that much sweeter!"

I remained silent as she lounged at me. I slid right back under her and ignited thrusters, gaining some height to match hers. We exchanged blows and after a couple breem had past I began to tire. Arachnid was much more experienced that I was and I had never fought her kind before. I noticed that she was beginning to tire as well. I shifted to an offensive stance, but did so just a nanoklik too early. She used a leg to catch a wing in midair and slammed me into a tree. I grunted in pain as the bark scraped against me backplates and wings. The force of the blow knocked the wind out of me and I fell onto my tank when she let go. My vision swam as I tried to get my vents to reset. I heard Arachnid give a shout and I looked up to see something green heading toward me at a rapid pace. My spark raced as I rolling over to avoid receiving a fatal hit. Good news: I didn't get a fatal hit. Bad news: I got hit anyway. I let out a small sharp cry as an acid-covered leg went between my armor plates and pierced deep into the protoform mesh of my right shoulder. The leg went clear through my shoulder, but could not get past the shoulder plating on the other side. I could feel the acid eating any at my protoform. I grabbed her leg with my left servo, but she was butting a lot of weight behind that leg. I didn't even budge her.

"It's never a good idea to pair up with Arcee. She has a track record for loosing partners."

The burning pain in my shoulder was crippling my strength. I needed to get her off of me or my chances of making it out alive were slim. I transformed my servo into a blaster, but before I could try and shoot, a motorcycle came from the behind Arachnid and crashed into her knocking her off of me. Her leg cut me even more went it left my shoulder. I cried out a little and I hear the sounds of a frame crashing and transformation and of blasters. I clutched my shoulder as I slowly rolled over onto my good one. As I slowly rose to my pedes, I saw Arachnid pick up Arcee with a leg and throw hear away and transform into a helicopter and fly off, Arcee growling her designation with pure hatred. She stared off at Arachnid for a while before turning to me, "You ok?" she asked.

"For now." I said. She looked at my right shoulder that I was still clutching lifted my servo away it look at the wound. I hissed and tensed when the breeze came into contact with it.

"No, you're not fine." she scolded.

"Nothing Ratchet can't fix." I said confidently.

"You shouldn't have engaged her on your own!"

"I have been fighting since I could walk, ya know. I'm not defenseless."

She ignored my comment. Instead, she commed Ratchet and asked for a bridge.

:: Are you injured? :: he asked.

"No, but Wing Saber is."

I heard him sigh. :: Alright. I'm sending a ground bridge to your coordinates. ::

The bridge opened as soon as the line was cut. Arcee walked through with me trailing after her. I went to the medbay where Ratchet removed all the armor around my shoulder.

"By the Allspatk! What happened?"

"Arachnid pierced my shoulder with an acid-covered pede of her spider-alt. Went right between the armor plates." I hissed as his digits probed around the edges of the wound.

"I'm going to have to rinse this with a base to neutralize the acid. I can't give you any pain killers as I need to know when you no longer feel the burn of the acid."

He had me lay back on a special medical berth that was made up of panels that can easy manipulated. He moved the panels so that my shoulder had nothing to rest on. Then he prepared some sort of a solution and placed it in some sort of a container with a long hose. He came back over and sterilized the area around the wound. I hissed and weakly clutched the edges of the berth. Primus, it burned! I felt something cold and wet touch my shoulder and sighed with relief as the liquid doused the fire in my shoulder. Ratchet was very thorough, but would poke a live wire upon occasion. Once he was through, he looked at me, "Do you still feel any burning?"

I shook my head. "No, just raw."

He nodded. "That's to be expected." He scanned my shoulder and rinsed the wound before applying some sort of ointment on it. He wrapped my shoulder in a static bandage and placed my arm in a brace. He gestured for me to rise. "I want to see you in here every morning so that I can change that bandage. You are to stay at base until I say otherwise."

"Alright."

"Now get out of my medbay." he grumbled.

I slowly got off the berth and left. When I entered the main hanger, I didn't see Arcee. Moonracer was in the recroom with the kids. I asked her where Arcee was and she told me that she had left to retrieve the energon that Arachnid was hoarding. That had been the energon signal and apparently threatened her stash. Raf turned to me and glanced at my shoulder.

"You ok?" he asked.

I looked at my shoulder. "Yeah, Ratchet fixed it. Just needs to heal."

"What happened?" Moonracer asked.

"Arachnid's acid."

The human boys winced. "Ouch." said Raf.

"I'm ok."

Raf shrugged and went back to his game. I watched for a while. I liked the humans. Maybe life was good here. Maybe, maybe, I can become a part of the Autobots. Eventually.

Ok, not the best ending. I'm going to do the next chapter in Moonracer's POV. We'll see. Until next time!
