Chapter 4

Pretty much all we did on Saturday was kick back and take a breather after the whole adventure the night before. Of course neither of us were up before noon, since we were up until like three in the morning the night before.

My butt was still a little sore when I got up too. Not that I could whine to Bruce or Dick about it. Guess I cant really say that Dick is that much easier than Bruce when it comes to spankings. But, he didn't use the 'bat paddle', a little joke I made to make it not seem as bad. If it had been that, I would be sore forever. Plus, then Bruce would surely have at least one guest over or something else so that I would have to sit on a hard chair. I swear he does it on purpose!

Yawning, I wandered to the kitchen. Dick had already beat down there, drinking coffee and looking worn out. "Morning, Boy Wonder."

"Morning," I said looking for the pop tarts. For once, I could just stuff a pop tart in my mouth like most kids. I like Alfred cooking breakfast for me every morning, but it still is fun to just cram sugar stuff in your mouth and calling it breakfast.

Dick put on his Bruce face and started imitating him, "Now Timothy, you know that isn't a healthy breakfast. Where's the fruit and milk?"

I laughed, that was so how he'd act! "I don't know sir, I don't see any here." I said just to play along, though I wasn't as good as he was at keeping a straight face.

Dick changed his posture so he sat up even more, "I quit agree Master Timothy. Healthy breakfast will help you grow stronger, and for your sake I hope at least one of you lives until your at my age."

I spit out pop tart crumbs, coking at that one. It was so perfect. How he does it I will never know, and really never be able to try anyways. If Bruce caught be imitating them I'd so be dead. Alfred would lecture me forever on why it is wrong to make fun of the way someone acts, probably while Bruce was strangling me.

Dick looked a bit concerned, "I know I can be a riot, but breath kid. Jeeze."

I nodded, calming down enough to get air back into my lungs. "I feel like I never left," I joked.

He gave me one of his usual goofy smiles, "Good. That was the plan." Dick yawned, "A full comedy act and I'm not even really awake yet. Want some coffee?"

"I've never had any, Bruce says I don't need any." I replied. Alfred seemed to agree, stating that it was 'a wise choice' when Bruce mentioned that.

"I don't think I see Big Bad Bruce around," Dick ask looking around. "Just a half full coffee pot and a mug."

I smiled, "Guess there's no one to really stop me…"

"Nope, no Alfred. Nightwing has retired for the day and Batman is busy elsewhere while you commit this terrible crime." he continued on.

Funny, a few minutes later when I was practically bouncing off the walls between the coffee and sugar he didn't have the same laid back attitude about it. I don't think I was that bad really, besides he told me to do it.

"OK! Enough Tim." Dick shouted chasing me though the house. "I'm sorry I ever even though of giving you coffee. Just get back here and give it back and no one will get hurt."

"The only one getting hurt around here will be you!" I said back at him, laughing like mad. He wasn't too happy that I took his watch, I think it's the one that Barbra got him. It wasn't like I was really going to hurt it, plus this was to get back at him for all the teasing stuff that he's done to me.

"That's it," he did like all those weird acrobatic moves while chasing me and eventually caught up. Or rather landed on top of me.

"Hey," I protested, this was no fun. "This isn't how you'd a catch a bad guy."

Dick just wrestled the watch from me, "Are you calling yourself a bad guy? Besides, I have yet to have a villain nick my watch and make me chase him around my own house so early in the morning."

"You need to prepare yourself for anything and I was just helping you!" I said, using Bruce's usual justification. "And get off of me! You're heavy."

"I think this is a fitting punishment for a brat like you." Dick stated, not budging at all even though he had his watch.

"Dick," I whined. "What do I have to do to get you off?"

He paused for a moment to think, "How about streaking through my neighborhood to liven this place up?

"What? No way! I'll tell Alfred on you if you make me." I threatened, since Alfred thinks that even walking about in a t-shirt is wrong.

"What? Are you threatening me?" he said leaning down closer. "Remember I have a car with enough gas to outrun them and flee to Mexico."

I squirmed, "No fair."

"Nope, it's not. And do you know why?" he asked letting up a bit.

"No, why?" I relaxed a little bit.

"Because I'm older." he said sticking his tongue out, "and obviously mature enough to be out on my own."

"Are not!" I shouted standing up, annoyed by him now.

"Absolutely right, however they still haven't done anything about my insanity. So we'll have fun until they figure it out." he said. "Now, want to finish that movie?"

"Ass," I said, but he was acting just like normal really.

"Oh, the naughty langue." he noisily laughed. "Bruce is so not going to let us ever do this again."

Over all, it had been the best weekend ever! Other than that incident with the Joker that is. Best of all was that we got away will everything that we did. Most of it Dick approved of even if Bruce wouldn't anyways. In fact, if Bruce and Alfred knew about even half of what we had done, I'm sure that we would have been sent to Arkham Asylum.

Or at least we thought that we got away. But, we were about to be proven wrong.
