I could feel a bit of the weight of my shoulders lift as I trudged along the soft, moist dirt. I wiggled my toes, digging them into the soil, allowing them to be enveloped by the comforting gentleness that belonged to Resembool. As I continued slowly, but with a glint of hope in my eye, the scenery that encompassed me became fully lush and green. Threads of silky grass entwined together, spinning a web of gentle dew drops absorbing the sun's quiet, golden glare. Pure white clouds danced in the tender winds that meandered carelessly through the peaceful skies.
At that time, life gave me proof that a peaceful world did, or at least could, exist.
I treaded lighter on my feet as my scarlet eyes' gaze fell onto an approaching silhouette. A long, thick strand of hair flowed in the breeze near the figure's head. A loose drape reeled around a set of small hips. I felt my back straighten, as if in an attempt to embellish my appearance, even though the effort to regain my composure was futile. The sound of shoes sinking into the dirt began to slow as I drew close to the woman. It didn't take long before she came to a complete stop, and some something resembling a basket dropped to the ground. The next thing I knew, my frail feet stumbled backwards as a weight came onto the front of my body.
The girl looked about my age. She had deep blue eyes that looked into my droopy ones with a look of concern. Her hair looked as if it were showered by lemon drops, its bangs falling carefully along her forehead. A salmon colored dress fell along her graceful curves, patterned with dark flowers. Nimble fingertips curled around my slumping shoulders innately, their sweeping turns drawing an arm which belonged to the girl.
"Are you okay?" A worried voice shouted out. The words echoed and ringed in my ears, the fatigue settling in rapidly. I felt my eyelids begin to drop and my body gradually lose control of itself as I gave one last gaze at the girl, and her mouth moved into somewhat of a gasp. My shoulders were quickly supported by temperate palms, and that was the last thing I felt before my eyelids split down onto my bottom lashes.
