Feliks felt that his existence was not worth anything. Lifetimes ago, he would have thought differently. But now, nothing mattered anymore. His life was wasted chasing the same person, or at least in some way.
"Human" is not what Feliks would use to describe himself. He came to being in the middle ages, near the dawn of the Renaissance. He aged normally, had normal parents, and lived a normal life, until around his twenties. Slowly, he stopped aging and growing. His parents grew old and died, and he still looked the same. Feliks can't explain it, though, as he has forgotten what happened years ago.
However, there was one thing he would never forget. In the 1400s, Feliks met a sweet young boy by the name of Toris. They had cherished each other and become close, until a game went to far. Feliks will never forget the first time he saw the life leave Toris's eyes. Soon, Feliks life became dull.
In the 1500s, Feliks met another boy, with the same name, appearance, and personality. He left to fight in the Livonian wars to serve his family, and was never seen again.
Early into the next century, Feliks met a child Toris, who caught disease and died at a young age. And when the later 1600's came, Feliks met a girl named Katyusha along with this Toris, who were both killed in a Ukranian riot.
Around 100 years later, the next Toris was killed in a bar fight for stating his opinion on the politics. Feliks fought of many strong drunks in attempt to save this Toris from being beaten to death.
The 1800's Toris died fighting alongside Napolean, and the next two Torises were lost to the world wars.
It always seemed as that Feliks did one thing wrong. If he didn't do this, if he tried harder, Toris might live out a healthy life. But there was always something that kept Toris from his full potential. Feliks just wished he knew where that one thing was.
It seems as though WW2 Toris was the last one. And by far, he was the saddest one. It wasn't that Feliks watched him die; it was that Feliks knew history repeated itself. He knew something bad would happen. And he tried to take Toris with him, but Toris wanted to fight against the German forces. So Feliks left for America, and stayed up at night worrying about Toris. He heard of what happened in Europe, and he cried himself to sleep every knight.
