Sake time...
Sam glanced at Jake, He was already looking at her, his eyes smoldering. She felt her heart flutter. As she stared back at Jake she wished that she could reach out to him, be tucked in his side or holding his hand, something! But she couldn't not with the others around Jake gave a tight smile before looking at the others. They were completely oblivious.
"Sam, we're leaving in like five minutes," Jane interrupted Sam's thoughts. Sam must of had a startled look because Jane added. "If you're still riding with me," Jane was tucked in Bryan's side, her eyes focused on Sam, waiting for a response.
"Um, yeah, okay," Sam nodded. Jane smiled and redirected her attention.
Jake rolled his eyes at Sam. "Brat, don't forget your sweatshirt." He gave her a pointed look. Sam didn't bring a sweatshirt, but she knew Jake enough to go along with whatever Jake was saying.
Jake watched her with waiting eyes. "Yeah, I don't know where I put it though," She pretended to look troubled.
"I'll help you look," Jake sighed, exsaperated.
"Thanks," Sam started to the house, Jake trailing behind.
Jane watched with a curious eye. She didn't remember Sam bringing a sweatshirt, but as Bryan kissed her neck, she decided Sam must've forgotten it another time.
When they entered the house, Maxine and Nate we're talking in the kitchen about college. "What are you two doing?" Maxine interrupted Nate.
"Looking for Brat's sweatshirt, " Jake said heading toward the stairs. Maxine nodded. and continued talking to Nate.
Sam watched Jake bound up the steps. His long legs outlined perfectly in his jeans. He turned into his rooms. Sam quickly, following. As she entered his room she turned to shut the door. When she turned to face Jake he was already there, a smirk on his face.
"Where did I leave my sweatshirt?" She put her hands on her hips, smiling.
Jake rolled his eyes. "I don't know!" He said, pulling her towards him.
"Well, that sucks,' Sam whispered, her eyes fixed on his. He smirked before closing the space between them. Sam smiled into the kiss. Jake ran a hand up and down her back. Sam made small circles on his biceps. Jake broke the kiss when he heard someone coming up the steps.
"Pretend to look for the sweatshirt!" Jake whispered, dropping to his knees and looking under the bed. Sam rushed to Jake's desk and looked around. They continued to 'search for the sweatshirt' for a minute.
Jake stood up, "Coast is clear," He said, striding toward her. He pulled her to him and kissed her lips, lightly.
"Or it was a false alarm?" Sam raised an eyebrow, smirking at him.
"Yeah right," Jake rolled his eyes and kissed her neck again. Sam giggled as Jake picked her up and set her on his desk. She grabbed his shirt and pulled him closer. He chuckled deep in his throat before planting a kiss on her mouth. She wrapped her legs around his waist tightly.
"Well," Jake and Sam broke apart, their eyes flying to the door. Jane leaned on the door, smirking. "Isn't this nice?" Sam unwrapped her legs as Jake backed away and jumped off the desk.
"Jane," Sam started, walking towards her.
Jane, who had been smirking superiorly, broke into a wide grin. "I'm not going to tell anyone, because nothing happened. Sam, I'm heading home," With that Jane turned and walked out. Sam and Jake looked at each other, wide eyed.
"We have got to be more careful," Jake rubbed the back of his neck.
"Yeah, I got to go though," Sam said numbly, still thinking about what had happened. "I'll text you," She said walking out the door. Jake followed her downstairs. Nate was gone, but Maxine was unloading the dish washer.
"Did you find your sweatshirt?" Maxine asked, looking up. Sam shook her head. "I'm sure it will turn up soon,"
"Yeah, bye Maxine," Sam nodded, heading to the door-way, where Jane and Bryan we're saying good-bye.
"Love you," Bryan kissed Jane's cheek.
"Love you too," Jane smiled, pulling away from him. "Ready Sam?" She turned to her. Sam nodded, watching Jane carefully. "Let's go than," Jane opened the door and left the house. Bryan hugged Sam and waved to Jane before heading to the kitchen.
"Bye Brat," Jake whispered as followed out the door.
"See you Jake," Sam answered. Sam jogged to Jane's car and hopped in. She immediately turned to Jane, waiting.
Jane pulled out of the driveway before speaking. "How long?" She was looking at Sam out of the corner of her eyes, smiling.
"Since the day Seth left for college, about 5 months." Sam said, still cautious.
Jane's eyes got wide. "You've been together longer than Bryan and I!" She exclaimed. Sam nodded. "How do you keep it a secret?"
Sam pondered the question a second. "We just don't get caught." She decided. Jane nodded, thoughtfully. "Until now,"
Jane rolled her eyes as she pulled into RiverBend, "Listen Sam," She parked in front of the house. "I won't tell anyone, I promise,"
Sam nodded, feeling some relief, but Jane continued. "How long are you planning on keeping it a secret though?" Sam looked away, not wanting to answer. "I don't think it's good to lie, because it won't be long and people will get suspicous." Jane paused, but Sam still didn't answer. "It's got to be hard to keep it all to yourselves. I'm just saying if you want someone to talk to about it, I'm here, okay?"
Sam looked at Jane. "Until I'm 16,"
"Huh," Jane looked, confused.
"We're not going to tell anyone until I'm 16,' Sam explained, exsarperted.
Jane nodded. "Why?"
"I'm not allowed to date until then," Sam sighed.
Jane nodded with a frown. "That sucks,"
Sam nodded, looking at the ground. She started to get out, but stopped with one foot out the door. "Thanks Jane," She said glancing back. Jane smiled with a nodded. Sam shut the door and walked to the house as Jane drove away.
Sam looked at her phone. 2 Messages from Jake.
Did Jane say anything?
Are you mad?
Sam thought a second before replying. No and No. She put her phone back in her pocket before bounding up the steps. By the time she got to the top she felt her phone vibrating.
Are you sure?
She rolled her eyes. Yeah,
Ok
Sam didn't bother to reply. She never replied when he said okay, k, or ok. It annoyed her.
She sat on her bed thinking. She didn't like lying to her family, but at the same time she did like the thrill of secrets. On the other hand she hated not being able to talk to anyone about the things she and Jake did.
Now she could talk to Jane. That would have to be enough. That would be enough, right?
Sorry it's been so long! Anywho... Thanks for all the reviews on the last chapter!
