"No I'll go that side, you take Galinda!" They exclaimed in a sharp whisper.

The young man looked at his confidant with a frown applied to his features. "Ooh why do I have to throw mine at Miss Galinda, I don't want her to think ill of me!" The young man whined back.

He was very fond of the blonde and wished not to find himself confined in her spot of indignation or being in the so called "friend" zone.

"Give over, you know she's already placed you as one of the members of her little puppy bundle!"

"You know nothing of the matter!"

"Your chances are slim my dear munchkinlander, now come on this was meant to be fun."

As they crept closer the others placed around the surrounding archways were sniggering waiting for the signal to launch.

The leader of the snow assault began to laugh with them as he saw Elphaba turn around to inspect the sound. "Ha ha she's on to us already, oh this is too good."

The young man rolled his eyes at the leader and leaned on his front leg in anticipation.

"What if Miss Elphie does something?" The others groaned at this and lowered their snowballs as the young man had ruined their signal.

"Oh just shut up, it's just a bit of fun, it's not like she's going to murder us."

"So you hope."

"I know so! Now come on." The others waited for his attention.

"Right, everyone ready?"

The others peaked over the archway openings and nodded. Signalling with his fingers '3,2,1' they ran at high speed in Galinda and Elphaba's direction with the snowballs in hand, all shouting "Happy Lurlinemas-" simultaneously. Galinda suddenly come to her senses and heard them approaching as she did she saw the balls of snow coming into her and Elphaba's direction and she panicked. She didn't want her roommate getting seared by water again, she remembered that day with such vivid imagery it frightened her.

As they emerged she leaped forward in front of Elphaba, brought out her wand and with pure anger the spell acted on her emotional state

"Leave us alone!" she cried and they were all sent flying into the surrounding patch of snow face first. Elphaba looked at Galinda in shock, realising the effect her emotions and her worry for her helped conjure the power she thought she never had.

"Elphie...I... I don't know where that came from."

"Don't worry my sweet but I'm going to find out where these imbeciles came from." With that said Elphaba stormed up to the figures laying in the snow and she could feel the familiar sparks of power and luminescent forces of magic running through the veins in her arms. She was about to strike until she saw familiar heads poke up - she stopped herself.

"Crope...Boq?"

"Whoooooa! It was a joke Elphaba we were only bloody going to jump scare you two with some snowballs!"

Elphaba rolled her eyes, sighing heatedly.

Elphaba shot them all a questioning glare which made the boys frail slightly, Fiyero also crept over the pile of snow flashing a sheepish smile in her direction and waved. "For Oz's sake you lot, you don't know what I might have done! I could have shrivelled you all into balls and made you burst into ashes, for all that is sanity DON'T DO THAT!

"Alright, alright we get it! please, put your hand down before some magic actually disperses from it!" Elphaba complied slowly. Galinda come scuttling to her side.

"Do you know what you could have done!?" They all looked at each other, contemplating what the blonde meant."

"drop it Galinda it's fine now-" the verdant girl spoke, her tone soft in contrast to the blonde's cry.

"Elphaba they should know!"

"It doesn't concern them Glin."

"Know what?"

"Elphaba is allergic to water!" The verdant girl tensed up at hearing those words escape from the blonde's lips. When Galinda went to perch her palm on her shoulder Elphaba withdrew, sharply shrugging her shoulder away as she swivelled around to look at her.

"Did you really have to tell them."

"Well it's better than you ending up with burns smeared all over your body and you screaming! I'm not having you go through that again Elphie."

"It's a snowball Glin!"

Crope suddenly propped himself up and adjusted his shirt.

"Galinda's got a point Elphaba! We wouldn't of done it otherwise, why haven't you told us before." Crope's eyebrows raised in concern.

"Why would I tell anyone such a personally confidential matter?"

"in case, of course this ever happened or if we harmlessly pushed you into a lake on a summers day! I know it sounds stupid but friends do stupid gestures like that and have water fights What would we have done in those circumstances if we hadn't known about your rejection of water Elphaba? I don't think we would of forgiven ourselves, what a freak accident it would be."

"Agreed" they all said in unison.

"For once...you could be right." Elphaba mumbled. Fiyero just raised his eyebrows at her suggestion of sarcasm.

"you know he's right." Fiyero said as he stepped forward, running his hand along his diamond patterned neck. Their eyes locked for a moment as he gave her a smile to show he just wasn't being difficult. The raven tressed girl looked away abruptly, refusing to return the gesture. Galinda was scrutinising Fiyero's expression. She found herself leaning closer into Elphaba as she eyed Fiyero who had an inquisitive look playing on his face.

"hang on..." Boq grabbed their attention. "When you were attacked with water that time I thought It might just of been of a scorching heat not just ordinary water?"

Galinda had become exasperated with the munchkins dim part of the scale.

"Are you that stupid, you can't get boiling water outside! by the time they would have reached the greenhouse it would of been cold!" Crope made a hissing sound mockingly yet Galinda went to strut over to Boq with her blonde brows knitted together however Elphaba stopped her by grabbing her forearm.

"Better put the Feline back in her domestic setting I'd say."

"No Elphaba it was stupid!" Boq looked at the frottican with eyes that had grew an exaggerated scale, glossed with sympathy. He kept muttering apologies. Everyone just rolled their eyes as he tried to come to terms with Galinda. Crope just laughed at his trials.

"Glin..." The blonde looked at Elphaba and peared at her forearm where she could see the verdant girl rubbing it with a stroke of her thumb in order to calm her down. "come on."

Galinda took a well enhanced breath before replying to Boq.

"...I'm sorry Boq, I didn't mean to snap..that day was just...hard." The munchkin nodded with a slight bow to utter a silent forgiveness.

Tibbett had already picked up another snow ball and lobbed it at the back of Boq's head who was aimlessly watching Galinda.

As the force hit the munchkin he stood rigid grasping the back of his scalp.

"ouch!" Tibbett shrugged, chuckling shortly after. When boq turned back round to pick up a pile of snow he nodded at Elphaba to get her approval. She smirked as she saw his signal and quickly put her long gloves on. Fortunately for her Boq was taking his time trying to construct an adequate snow ball but failed when Crope kicked it out of placed or dislodged it out of his hand.

"You keep doing that Master Crope and I'll have to clip you."

"ha ha you can try munchkin." Boq only got more frustrated at that, it caused him to lunge for him and pushed him back into the snow. As he did so Elphaba then took the opportunity to throw it at Boq. Little did the munchkin know she'd thrown it in his direction. Pivoting back on his feet he yelped as the snowball connected with his face and his skin began to blemish. He cradled his nose and the side of his cheek.

Galinda placed her hand over her mouth as she gasped and silently began to giggle. Elphaba cackled then walked over to Boq.

"Sorry Boq are you alright?"

"I'm fine Elphaba, it just stings!"

"I wasn't expecting you to turn round."

"I was!" Crope interupted through his set of giggles which earned him a couple of snowballs from Fiyero.

They all went on like that for a few minutes or so. Elphaba of course sat out, now that it was out in the open she no longer needed to worry. Galinda kept on retreating behind Fiyero to prevent getting hit by any of the invading snowballs. As he ran she ran behind him like she was his sewn shadow. Elphaba smiled at The blonde. she was happy to see her happy and this was the happiest that she had ever been in her life.

They all made their way back to the campus and sat in the library making general, light conversation involving their lives before Shiz of which Elphaba didn't comply: no one questioned it either which she was grateful for.

Her greyish lips parted slightly as she felt her roommates newly manicured nail trace circles on her knee. Her breath hitched and she silently questioned the blonde with her gaze. It was obvious Galinda was playing dumb on the matter as she gradually got higher and secretly carried whilst resting her head in her other Palm, fingers curled at the chin as she listened into everyone's conversation.

"Ah! I almost forgot."

Fiyero began rustling in his leather satchel to pull out a camera.

"Family photo, huh?" Everyone looked at him with joy and a smile accept Elphaba who groaned.

"Oh come on Elphaba, its a tradition back in the Vinkus."

"What..taking family photos,I highly doubt that."

"No not exactly but to have some family tradition or relation of which all the family know to participate in. It is a sign of comfort and of loyal nature. Basically a looking out order or a tradition passed on the purpose of memory and let's say there is no way better to capture memories than in pictures."

The charmed circle pouted at their Elphie however to their excitement she gave in. Crope wheeled Nessa in and they all gathered together.

Just like a family they posed for a family portrait, smiles beamed like they had been sun kissed especially.

When the pictures of laughter and posing gestures had been done Elphaba laid back in her chair and closed her eyes; she sighed contently.

"Are you quite alright Elphaba." Galinda asked softly

"I'm fine...I feel at home." She felt herself smiling when she said it.

As they went to leave the library Elphaba stood back slightly and called Galinda.

"I'm sure you'll be fine heading back to Crage hall with Nessa as I dwell in the inner sightings here?"

"Oh for the unnamed god don't be long will you."

Elphaba simpered "I can't promise you that my sweet." The petite blonde groaned and gave her a gentle tug on her raven locks before she went to follow on with Nessa.

As the third descending sieved through the pile of books in the corner of the department Fiyero came walking over.

"I'm surprised you allowed me to take the photos with you mist in its limits."

"Yes, you should feel yourself honoured."

"I do miss Elphaba." His low tone did not go unnoticed by the descending. "I must say you look quite exotic amongst everyone else and of beautiful measures I assure you."

"Master Fiyero may I dwell in saying where this has all come from suddenly?"

"Im just paying you with a compliment, is that such a crime?"

"No.."

"Well then Miss Elphaba, you are beautiful." The emerald girl didn't know what to say back to the Arjiki prince and stumbled.

"Sorry if that was too robust of a starting manner but I'm just saying, you don't deserve the treatment you have been given. Much like me you have been tormented for your complexion, here I see it as my sin whereas back in the vinkus I hold it as pride."

"In any of my circumstances, pride doesn't exist with the involvement of my skin."

"Well it should. I get teased about it too."

"Your complexions fine to me. Yes you're a much darker complexion however...well I'm a different colour all together."

"Thank you but you see I like yours the way it is." As he said it in a tone of silk he strode one step closer to Elphaba."

"Well atleast someone finds it...of no... abnormality." She cursed herself for saying that for she knew who had loved her verdant colour and who still does, Galinda Upland.

"It is very captivating, alluring even." With that said he held Elphaba's chin in one swift motion and kissed her, his lips connecting with her supple, fuller ones. As soon as she felt them on hers Elphaba leapt back as she shoved his chest backwards. "I've got to go Master Fiyero."

She fled.

"Elphaba!?" She heard the bewildered and apologetic tone in his voice but she didn't dare turn back.

Will Elphaba tell Galinda and how will it pan out? Till next time cya soon! (: xx
