Elphaba was smiling smugly as she walked down the hall way to her seminar. She noticed Shenshen coming towards her with Lavera hopping on her hind legs behind her. Shenshen was smiling so broadly at her that she thought the girl's face was going to emit sun rays. It wasn't until Shenshen nodded in Lavera's corner that she realised.
"Lavera! How can such measures of healing be so!?" Elphaba said, eyes widened in surprise at the unexpected turn of events. She had a stupid grin on her face; for Elphaba it must have looked like the most juvenile, happiest smile she could ever muster. At the moment though, she didn't care since it was in relations to an Animal. She couldn't be happier.
"Yes I am much better my dear. Dillamond said he hasn't seen progression like it. He believes your inner spirit of magic may have had some involvement with the matter, latter to the medical attention I was given."
"Wow Thropp, something good you've done." Shenshen butted in.
"Finally... something good..." Elphaba said, her voice just above a whisper. Lavera batted her right ear with the pad on her paw, constituting a scratch and then looked at Elphaba. With a flip of her hind legs and lunge from the front she hopped towards the emerald girl.
"You're capable of more than what you believe Miss Thropp and you have a kind heart with it," Elphaba made a face in return. Lavera stood up on her hind legs. She raised a brow and pushed her paw against Elphaba's shin, Shenshen let out a laugh of what she hoped to be silent. It caused Lavera to twitch her nose in her direction, Shenshen stopped immediately.
"I hope your not forgetting Miss Thropp, us Animals can sense these things, whether it be fear, love, hatred, anger... or if someone poses no threat, we sense the kind and affectionate, which makes us bolder in interaction. Not many people can do that, they have to know or encounter the person in certain situations first."
Elphaba nodded in agreement. " of course Lavera." The Rabbit smiled at her.
"Well since it was Me and Miss Shenshen's idea to inform you and it has been done i must go back and tend to my litter of kits. I need to say young ladies, you did a remarkable job with them and you have my utmost gratitude. Thank you.
Both girls gave Lavera a slight bow of which she gave one in return. They watched her hop away until suddenly she stopped mid leap and looked back at Elphaba.
"I forgot to say Miss Thropp."
"Please...call me Elphaba." She didn't believe an Animal had to call her by an honourific, she found them more appointed so.
"Elphaba." The Rabbit nodded. "You are a talent...that I can also sense, your magic was also something I must have sensed as well. Dillamond thinks great of you believe you me. He may express it in his ambiguous way but nonetheless he does, he couldn't cease talking about your beliefs and passion. He has conferred a great position for you Elphaba. Keep it up my dear. It won't be long until us Animals all know about you in dear time. Farewell for now and Goodbye Shenshen dear.
With that Lavera carried on along the hallway.
"Interesting..." Shenshen said slowly nodding to herself with a baffled expression. " any idea what the last part meant,"
"No idea Shenshen." Although she really didn't have an idea she took the comments as a compliment, they held up as much of a great sentiment as Galinda's and that was saying something.
"Well I can tell your chuffed and you know what? good for you. It looks like things are only getting better from here."
"so it seems." As Elphaba said that Shenshen gave her a firm pat on the shoulder. "You know Shenshen, I would like to say thank you for what you've done. Being it a situation with an Animal I can only thank you more. Would you like to...you know join us after lectures?"
"I would love to. I haven't spoken to Galinda lately."
"Well, with what has been going on I am positive Galinda would love to see you."
"That's swell, I'm dying to speak to here."
"The feelings mutual." Elphaba muttered. Shenshen gave Elphaba a glance at that, 'oh I bet you are' Shenshen thought.
Noticing the sudden silence Elphaba looked at her with an amused face.
"What? has amused you so Miss Shenshen?"
The girl chuckled lightly. "Oh nothing Elphaba."
They walked each other to their primary seminar which took place in the rear grounds. whilst walking they spoke about Galinda and their areas of dwelling, the charmed circle. Elphaba was quite astonished by how much they actually had in common with the love and respect for Animals and how studious they were in their own right. Elphaba told Shenshen about the new Animal laws and the significant Animal figures. As their conversing come to an end Elphaba walked Shenshen into her seminar and bid her good day for now.
Elphaba's seminar was the same as Galinda's. She always preferred to get to Dillamond's classes early for their usual talk before class had begun. He would let her enter on her own accord whilst others did not dare to enter the classroom before being due; they didn't see a purpose to indulge in the subject, more than what they should have to. To Elphaba she saw that as an advantage to spend more time with the Goat which to her was imperative.

Galinda got up from her bed, her eyes still wide as saucers at what Elphaba had said.
"Sweet Lurline did I really say all that aloud in my dream and in Elphaba's company to say the least!" The blonde whispered to herself. She couldn't stop the thought from reeling in her mind. Knowing that Elphaba had heard her whining and communing with her inner fantasy made her weak in the knees. She blushed; a wave was brewing beneath her skin making a rosy tint form on her cheeks. The blonde tried to shut it out as she went over to her drawers to rummage through the box of cosmetics. She rummaged until she found the complimentary pairings to the outfit she had planned; a cream coloured, wrap front, high waisted pleated dress, a beige suede purse to match.
Half an hour later she was finally ready. She had one last look at her blonde curls that hung at her shoulders; the tendrils of hair cascaded from her head into an avalanche of golden silk. Satisfied with how immaculate her appearance was, she went to pick up her books from the bed and strutted out of the door. Despite altering some of her implications of thinking, Galinda still had her pride and her vanity: which is to be expected from the acknowledgment of her upbringing in Gillikin. Being Gillikinese meant even she had expectations of herself 'I always exceed' she thought.
She carried on out of the dorm and locked the door behind her. As she walked the length of the corridor she heard someone cat calling, whom it may have concerned, she had her suspicions and those suspicions concluded to a pretty sickly feeling that it was for her. Turning on her heel she looked back at the culprit with disdain on her features, of which softened when she saw it was Crope who in fact had Cat called her.
"I must say Galinda you look as radiant as ever." Galinda smiled at the remark and tilted her head up, her chin following in pursuit with poise.
"Why thank you master Crope, not of bad taste yourself today either." He returned the smile at that.
"I'm glad you didn't take offence."
"Why would I it's only you Crope, it's not like you are going to do anything to me." Galinda said. The young man wiggled his eyebrows.
"Oh you never know Miss Galinda, I might have a turn." With that said she jutted him in the arm with her elbow.
"Oh hush you! come now, let's get to the seminar. I know you wouldn't do anything, so there was no point in even establishing that." Crope jutted his lower lip whilst nodding slightly.
"Perhaps not...but Elllllllphieeeee might." He chuckled as he began to walk down the next corridor that lead to the rear grounds. Galinda scurried behind him to catch up and gave him a whack with her purse.
"OH MY OZ CROPE...what are you implying?"
"Oh nothing my dearest Galinda."
The blonde groaned. "Please don't tell me Fiyero has told you something."
"He may have enlightened me on the situation...but nothing of what I had already suspected. You and Miss Elphie are quite the opposite i say, yet somehow you attract that's all I'm saying. I think everyone could sense the energy there to be honest with you, sweetheart."
"Right. Let's keep it there then," Was all the blonde replied.
"Very well Galinda." Crope said in monotone.
They continued on until they reached the porch of the building. The building that may have seemed secluded was now bustling as everyone had just made it on time. They entered with the others;being given instructions to do so and went to sit down in their usual space. Elphaba could smell that Gillikin scent a mile off. She inhaled it lightly as the figure went past, it left no more indication than it to be Galinda so she perked up at that. Her senses proved her right since the blonde was taking a seat diagonal and parallel in regards to her seating area. Galinda, not being able to resist, looked towards Elphaba's desk of which she found chocolate brown orbs staring right back at her. She blushed and whipped her fan out from within her purse to disguise the sudden colour alteration to her cheeks. Elphaba arched her brow as the corner of her forest lips curled up simultaneously. Like sewn, blonde coloured thread the frottican's brows knitted together which Elphaba took as a scowl to be written on the frotticans face if the fan were to be removed. Elphaba laughed out a husky breath, reverting back to the books in front of her and begun to scribble something down. Galinda saw that as her que to sit at her desk and ignore her. Elphaba on the other hand saw this time as an opportunity to tease the blonde, depending on how far her limits stretched; Elphaba did not know but she was going to find out. She dug a spare piece of paper out of her satchel and wrote a note aimed at the blonde. Shaking the ink in her fountain pen she wrote her note, screwed it up and threw it in the blonde's direction. With great accuracy it landed just beneath her feet. Galinda shuffled her foot away at the sudden touch and looked back at Elphaba who nodded at the ball of paper, signalling that she wanted the blonde to read it. Galinda looked at Doctor Dillamond then around at the room before picking It up. Being back up right on her desk she unscrewed the ball of paper and read it.
Did you have a nice sleep? xx
Having read the message, the blonde's eyes narrowed.
'Oh how veeeeeeeeeeeeery funny of you Miss Elphaba, how witty!' Galinda sarcastically convicted in her head whilst she forcibly wrote a reply on the paper. She was pressing hard enough that the paper looked like it was going to have punctures pierced by the nib of the pen; She threw it back to her emerald girlfriend.
Shut up Elphaba, I'm trying to listen to Dillamond!
Elphaba made a "Huh" sound in disbelief, which didn't go unnoticed by the blonde. She then threw it back and they rallied like this for a while.
That's the first I've ever heard of it xx
Well maybe I wish to learn Miss Thropp!
Maybe, just maybe you're trying to avoid me about this morning. xx?
The blonde thought for a moment trying to think what to say. Elphaba in the mean time was asking Doctor Dillamond rebounds of articulate questions and took notes in doing so. The goat smiled and nodded as she wrote her notes, oblivious to the little "note" making they were doing themselves. The blonde finally wrote...: I do not wish to dwell in the matter any further.
I find it quite amusing Miss Galinda, perhaps quite intriguing of how you think of me. You must have a very broad imagination underneath those blonde little springs on your head. with that written, Elphaba through it at the back of the blondes head.
Don't you patronise me Thropp or they'll be consequences! Galinda wrote back.
Elphaba simpered as she read the reply she had been given.
Ooooh but I thought I was the one who was to deal out the card hands and reveal those consequences Glin am I not? xx
What?
Don't tell me you've forgotten already. It should be within the reach of your comprehension, this morning being proof of that?xx
? Galinda played dumb in regards to the subject she was trying to avoid.
Definition for you my sweet : a woman in a position of authority or control. Coolly self-possessed. You even said it yourself. xx
Galinda looked back at Elphaba over her left shoulder with her mouth agape and her eyes, Icy blue pools with solidified vexation. Despite her frustration she felt a familiar tingle of heat at those written words but the blonde decided not to allow her emerald girlfriend the knowledge. "I said drop it!" Galinda exclaimed. That caught some of her socialites attention that were sitting nearby. They all looked at her then frowned at Elphaba as they saw where the blonde's train of direction was focused. As realisation occurred she fluttered her fan to draw the attention away from her. Swivelling back around she jumped in her seat as she was faced with lime marbled eyes that were the Goat's.
"Sorry to startle you Miss Glinda but do you think that you can go on without any further interruptions please. I'm asking you nicely Miss."
"Sorry Doctor Dillamond but tell your beloved Elphaba to stop harassing me! Please may I add that it is Simply Galinda not Glinda as you have so...carefully put it sir. It has a Gah you see."
After the startled encounter they exchanged words and the seminar went on without another word or disruptions. Elphaba threw one last note at Galinda on the same page they had been using of which most of the space had been taken up by Galinda's bold handwriting in comparison to the curly eloquent expression of the third descending's. It read "I'm sorry xx " which caused Galinda to sigh and turn around one last time to gaze at Elphaba who had uncharacteristically pouted at her. The blonde smiled despite herself and mimed "you're forgiven." In return Elphaba winked at her.
As the seminar come to a close people jostled out of seats to exit the area to go to the secondary seminar that was scheduled to commence next. Before Galinda had fled the room, Elphaba quickly come up behind her and placed a note in her purse. Arousing Galinda's curiosity, the frottican opened the screwed up ball to reveal the hidden message. What she had read sprouted an "are you being serious?" expression on her face. She had had enough of her emerald roommates little mind games and teasing remarks.
Meet you back at the dorms at 1:30pm or they'll be serious "consequences" my girl. Believe me...Do not keep your mistress waiting...xx
She just had to have one last jab didn't she! that bloody green bean is going to be a mashed one by the time I'm finished beating her! crope drew her from her thoughts and linked his arm in hers to drag her along.
"Has the lady been contemplating."
"Elphaba is being infurifying!"
"Aha! That's nothing new my dear, you of all people should be immune of that." The blonde made a face.
"I know but she keeps...pressing some certain issues."
"Are they...tensional...issues...?" He waited for the frottican's attitude to change and indeed it did. Her head gyrated towards him and she gasped involuntarily.
"Hush you! Sweet Lurline I can't communicate without someone trying to dig into my personal matters."
"you are the one who mentioned Elphaba Galinda!" He whispered sharply.
"All I said was she is basically being a little bugger!"
"Alright, alright I won't stress it any further."
"Don't." Crope stepped back as her words reached his eyes. Galinda laughed as he put his hands up in surrender and smiled.
"look- I have to speak to Doctor Dillamond about some books I can get Elphaba, you know for Lurlinemas. I already have some books noted down but it wouldn't hurt to ask for some others."
"Okay then, good idea, I'll get Fiyero to make some more pictures whilst you go on your little book spree!"
"Oh dear god, how fun this is going to be." The blonde grumbled back at him. With a hug she bid him good day and spoke to Doctor Dillamond about the possible book titles she could purchase.

Elphaba sat at the table with the rest of the charmed circle. Avaric was requested to join them today by the mere munchkin Boq. Being of unheard news to Elphaba she wasn't overly pleased with the matter. As soon as she laid eyes upon him she knew he was of Gilikinese Nobility, corresponding to Galinda's. He had the same grace and poise, vanity and pride not to be excluded to say the least. She could tell he wasn't very fond of her on the first meeting either;his radiance of arrogance made the feeling oh so more mutual on her behalf. Boq tried his hardest to stop them from both ringing each other's necks before the morning was through yet the two still couldn't resist the urge to come up with another sharp rebuttal at each other. Elphaba won of course, she always one in those circumstances: given the childhood she had she could only have the best dark wit.
Boq had tried to lighten the mood and chose to request a game of poker. Out of all the options he chose a card game. The emerald girl could only smile at his suggestion for she was already of the upper hand in doing so.
"Crying call Boq crying call!" Crope whispered in his ear. He chose not to play for he was to interested in the competitive attributes that were being exploited by Avaric and Elphaba. Crope knew Avaric only chose this game as a way to spark trouble or line his own pocket from those who were unfortunate enough to lose the game. He eyed the young Gilinkin mans features to see what it had prevailed. At the moment it showed concentration, with no signs of lacking in confidence; he was determined he was going to win his money back and more.
"Shut up Crope you're putting me off."
"My dear boy you're going to lose admit it!"
Boq rolled his shoulder back to relent the force of Crope's forearm on his shoulder. Crope shook his head in dismissal 'more fool him' . He looked back over to Tibbett who sat beside him, still holding his card hand, waiting for his opposition to lay.
"Who do you thinks going to win," Crope whispered as he leaned into the young man. Tibbett sighed and leaned backwards to meet him slightly.
"I knew I hadn't a chance to be honest but all my bettings would be on Elphaba, she has pure logic and game!" He smiled a toothy grin as he said it.
"Indeed, she's going to kick his ass."
"I want her to win, she will! you watch this card hand."
Indeed they did watch the card hand. From behind her card hand Elphaba's eyes looked up to interlock with Avaric who was clenching his teeth in annoyance. Elphaba had no care for that and calmly pushed her glasses back up her nose before clearing her throat and laying her card hand on the table. Avaric's eyes grew and his lips curled up in disatisfaction. Smooth and composed like a slink feline she spoke in low tranquil voice, modesty at its best.
"It seems Master Avaric your cards from Gillikin have proven of no luck in your possession after all. Why I say they have left you high and dry. Royal...straight...flush!"
"Sweet Oz." Boq exclaimed.
"You mean what a sweet hand." Crope followed in pursuit. Nessa sat there not knowing what to do with herself and just shook her head.
"You ought to be ashamed of yourself Elphaba, gambling like this! What will father say,"
"Fathers not here Nessie, leave it be."
"But Elphaba you know full well-"
"Nessie let it go. It's a bit of harmless fun. I know father wouldn't approve but I am at university now. Being a woman now I'm sure I can handle myself."
"Ha just the slightest." Crope added. Elphaba nodded at his clear use of sarcasm.
"Nessa. It's fine" Boq said softly to her. Placing a hand on her knee she looked down to where he placed it. Her breath hitched slightly at the gesture. Looking into his blue eyes she simply nodded and smiled. The linger lasted a few seconds as suddenly Avaric shot up in annoyance.
"I demand we have a rematch Thropp. If you are of adequate standard in poker then you should have no fear of placing your cards in for another game?"
"I fear not. I do not wish to dwell in the activity any longer. Not for your benefit. You only wish me to have a losing streak of luck so you can win. You are what I call a sour loser. I have won the money, you lost it, FairPlay, all done."
"Now you look here Thropp!" Avaric blurted abruptly
"Look here little rich boy! We had no deal, you threaten me all you like I maybe of no concern of yours but I beg to differ my magic might. Don't let it rear its ugly head." All the charmed circle 'Oooo'd' at Elphaba's comment and all begun making their own comments as all went to their next seminar. Shensen joined them, taking a seat by their side. She chatted a while with Crope and Tibbett as Elphaba sat there doing most of the work.

After speaking to Doctor Dillamond Galinda wrapped up in her winter clothing to begin her hunt for the books in the nearby stores. Having free periods was always handy for her as it meant shopping was only more inevitable!
She trudged through the snow and managed to fall a few times since wearing an extensive coat only made the possibility of tripping more likely. Having fallen she readjusted her ear muffs and rubbed her hands in her gloves. Only when she stopped the heat making did she hear a familiar voice calling out, beckoning her to come to come and talk to her. The Frottican kept her pace, her head low and ignored it. Judging by the tone, the voice was growing unhappy and dissatisfied. The voice could only be Milla's.
