Minerva settled into Harry's bedroom at the cottage. He had a king-size bed in it as well as the crib. Minerva raised an eyebrow at Euphemia in silent question. "What's the point in wasting space in this small cottage when we both know Harry will eventually find his way to your bed? You will have to set your boundaries sooner rather than later I expect," the older witch said matter-of-factly.
Minerva nodded her head. "The wedding will be on his seventeenth birthday," Minerva offered. "Lily asked me for that promise and I shall honor it."
"Sensible," she commented. "Harry is a Potter through and through. He will test your boundaries so you best be ready."
"I know," Minerva said. "Where's Harry?"
"He will be in here shortly," she answered. "Heather has ran you a nice relaxing bath. Go enjoy it."
Minerva hissed as the relaxing water surrounded her body. The day's revelations had taken a toll on her. When the memories of Albus raping her rushed back to her, her body felt the physical pain he inflicted on her. She felt him physically rip her clothing from her body. She felt his hands grope her painfully. She felt his fist punch and hand smack her over and over again. She felt the weight of his body pin her down to the cold floor and his penis force its way into her. She felt his hands choking her as he slammed into her roughly. She felt the fear, the desperation, as she fought him helplessly.
"Minerva," Lily called as she knocked at the door. "You covered?"
Minerva looked down at herself and saw that the bubbles did indeed cover her assets. "Yes," she answered back.
Lily came in with a fussy Harry in her arms. She watched silently as Lily striped Harry down to his nappy which she spelled waterproof. Lily turned Harry so he could see Minerva. He stopped fussing immediately and reached for her. Minerva smiled before settling him against her chest while making sure his head was above water. "Min," he cried as he grabbed a strand of her hair happily.
"I'm fine love," she reassured him.
"I'm continuously amazed at your connection," Lily breathed in awe. "Harry knew something was wrong before Heather could return and let us know."
"It was always like that," Minerva whispered as Harry settled against her. "He could tell if something was wrong with me even as a first year. I wondered about it but then I would suddenly forget about it. I guess those moments were caused by the severing of our bond. I was gravely injured in his fifth year. He refused to eat until I made it back to the castle and he laid eyes on me. Poppy had to force nutritional potions down him."
"Do you think she realized the bond was there and was memory charmed to forget?"
Minerva nodded her head. "She never documented those moments but allowed Harry to follow her underneath his cloak to my rooms. I believe she suspected the memory charms but her need to help Harry kept her silent. He had become a beacon of hope for so many by then."
"It's hard to imagine my baby as such," Lily said.
Minerva raised an eyebrow in surprise at that. "You cannot see that but you are fine with your baby being betrothed and handfasted to a witch decades older than him or better yet, decades older than you?"
Lily snorted in amusement. "When you put it that way," she laughed then confessed. "I'm grateful Harry will share a deep love throughout his life. You are a truly remarkable woman Minerva McGonagall!"
With that, Lily walked out the door leaving Harry nestled safely against Minerva. She settled down in the water a bit more and soothingly rubbed circles on Harry's back like she knew he liked. "What do you know love," she whispered sadly as she thought of how upset he was.
Minerva shook those thoughts away nearly an hour later and magically released the drain. She spelled her hair dry and stood up with Harry firmly in her arms. She laid him on the counter and called for Hazel. The house elf immediately dried and changed Harry while Minerva readied herself for bed.
Minerva slipped into bed and smiled as Hazel settled Harry on her chest. He seemed to always find his way there no matter where he started off. "Good night love," she whispered as she fell asleep.
Minerva entered the small kitchen area with Harry happily clinging to her. James gladly accepted him as Minerva sat down and made herself a plate. She didn't say a word as she pushed her food around on her plate. "You have to talk about it," Euphemia finally said as she watched Minerva.
"I don't," Minerva whispered back. "I won't discuss it until I get my own pound of flesh from that miserable bastard. I want the Board of Governors to fire him before the DMLE acts on their evidence. I want that confrontation!"
"Fine," Fleamont agreed causing Minerva to look at him in suprise. He chuckled before explaining, "Donavon and I aren't going simply for time in Azkaban for the bastard. After reading through the DMLE reports thoroughly, we changed our plans for Albus. We cannot allow the DMLE to reveal the full reports or it will cause choas from the traditional families. Albus' full crimes will not be reported to the generao public. We decided to protect your privacy and plotted a new plan for Albus. We plan to destroy his image, his fame, him in general. Donavon has his contacts researching Albus' life while I am working on gaining support for you to be named Headmistress."
"Really," Minerva asked suprised. She was thrilled her rape at the hands of Albus Dumbledore wouldn't become public knowledge.
Fleamont nodded his head. "Albus Dumbledore will be brought down," he promised. "The wizard was aways going down but with yesterday's revelations, he will suffer greatly before that time. I, as Lord of House Potter, am requesting a concession from you. I ask you have James and Sirius with you during that confrontation with him. I am not requesting it for fear he will harm you. I requesting it for fear you will do something that you will later regret."
"Very well," she agreed.
"What progress has been made on the Horcuxes?" Fleamont asked later that day.
Minerva raised an eyebrow at the unexpected question. She was gathering her wording to answer when Sirius beat her to it. "I have collected the cup, diary and locket."
"Already?" Minerva asked suprised.
Sirius grinned at her. "Bellatrix's dowry was taken back at the discovery of her Dark Mark," he answered. "I made a deal with the goblins to place a replica of the cup in her vault in exchange for the cup and for their silence. Narcissa managed to get the diary for me in exchange for Draco's promised protection. She made a replica to hide her tracks but has no clue why I wanted the diary. The locket was in Grimmauld Place and the easiest to get. I waited until Mother and Kreacher left on errands and summoned it."
"Impressive," Fleamont commented. "Where are you storing them?"
"Here at the Manor under the strongest protections I can manage," Sirius answered with a smirk. "James added blood wards to prevent others from gaining access to them."
"That's smart thinking," Minerva commented then grinned mischievously. "Lily must of thought of it." Fleamont snorted in amusement. He loved the playful banter Minerva used with James and Sirius. It must be the soulbond with Harry that causes it! he mused.
