Minerva walked down the stairs at the cottage in silence. She was dressed in a two piece black muggle suit. The trousers were snug and her ample cleavage was teased as her top buttoned lower than most of the clothes she wore. She wore strappy blood red heels and her hair twisted up in a messy bun with a comb encrusted with blood red stones. It had been a gift from Harry. He had been to the vaults with his grandfather and saw it before proclaiming, "Min." Hence she was gifted with it!

"Harry is a bloody lucky sod," she heard Sirius comment before a smack sounded. "That hurt Euphemia," he exclaimed.

"That was uncouth," she replied before greeting Minerva cheerfully. "Good morning dear."

Harry reach for her immediately which prompted a smile from her. She gladly held him close and laughed musically as he glared at Sirius before saying, "Mine."

"You know I was joking Harry," Sirius tried, suprised at his godson's possessiveness.

Harry glared at him before saying, "Bad Paddy!"

The entire room broke out in laughter at Harry's words. Minerva grinned before she kissed Harry gently. He grinned back at her before wrapping his arms around Minerva as much as he could. "You're not really upset at your uncle, are you?" she asked Harry. "He can't help himself yet. Give him a couple of more years and then we will hold him to higher standards."

Harry looked at Sirius hard before repeating, "Mine" as he looked at Minerva.

"I know Minerva is your future wife and I will always strive to protect her while I am around," Sirius promised his godson.

Harry grinned at Sirius before reaching for him. He hugged him close and said, "Padfo."

"I love you Pup," Sirius replied and inwardly sighed in relief.

"Are you ready for this Minerva?" Fleamont asked effectively changing the subject.

"Aye," she replied. "Albus cannot be allowed to control or hurt others. Are we sure all of the Board of Governors are ready to see Albus dismissed as Headmaster?"

"They are," Fleamont replied confidently. "A lot of the members are from older families. They want to see Hogwarts return to the old ways and with your position as Heir Ross, they are hopeful it will happen."

"The classes discontinued by Albus will be returned soon as I can fill those positions," she promised.

"Shall we," Fleamont said as he offered her his arm. Minerva accepted it. Fleamont looked at James and Sirius before saying, "Wait ten minutes and then head to Minerva's chambers at Hogwarts. I want you both available for her confrontation with Albus."

"Yes sir," they saluted which prompted an eye roll from the older Potter.

Minerva inwardly stomped down her rage at seeing Albus Dumbledore. She plastered a smile on her face and greeted him like normal. She was rather pleased with herself for controlling her overbearing desire to hurt him. She watched as the Board of Governors gave barely noticeable looks of disdain at Albus' colorful robes. She never expected to see such and wondered what else she had missed by not observing the board members prior. She sat back and watched the meeting curiously.

"Albus are you aware your staff had a medical emergency in your absence?" the chair asked rather frankly. "The DMLE and St. Mungos had to intervene."

Shock showed on his face. "I wasn't aware," he answered as he looked at Minerva calculating before offering, "I have been dealing with a delicate situation in my role as Supreme Mugwump with the ICW and have only returned back to the school."

"That happens quite frequently, doesn't it?" Lily questioned him. "I remember you were absent quite a bit during my own school years. I very rarely saw you besides dinner in the Great Hall."

"Just how frequently are you absent from the school while it is in session?" Augusta Longbottom asked. "As Headmaster, you should be here more than the professors."

Albus looked suprised at that question but tried to smooth things over. "Surely you realize with my other positions I must be absent at times. I hold three prestigious positions and must be present."

"Being the Headmaster of Hogwarts is a full-time position," the chair said unperturbed by Albus' statement. "In the past five years, you have been present less than half of the time the school has been in session."

"I'm sure I have been present more," Albus said with his grandfatherly appearance in place.

"I personally checked the records," Fleamont Potter declared. "Minerva holds a full-time teaching position, Deputy Headmistress position and had a Head of House position until this year but has had to deal with your responsibilities for the most part. I am curious on why you are paid so handsomely for a job you half do?"

"I do my job to the best of my ability given my other prestigious positions," Albus injected lamely.

"Maybe you should only focus on those other positions," the chair said bored of Albus' excuses. "The Board has discussed it in great detail and feel you are no longer able to properly do your duties as Headmaster. You are released from that title as of now. Please remove your possessions and vacate the premises by nightfall."

"You can't do that," Albus cried outraged.

"We can and we have!" the chair person declared. "We also voted and have named your replacement. Minerva McGonagall will take over as Headmistress as of this meeting."

Minerva felt a surge rush over her and then felt the wards, more powerful than she ever experienced them, settled within her very being. "Oh my," she gasped as she glowed golden.

"The wards never did that for me," Albus looked flabbergasted and a bit enviously.

"You have never been soulmates with an heir," Lily offered. "Since the handfasting, Minerva has been more in tune with Harry's founder knowledge. Hogwarts treats her like other founder heirs."

Albus glared at Minerva before leaving the room and presumably to pack up his many years worth of belongings. "Pops," Minerva called gently.

A gentle pop announced the arrival of an ancient looking house elf. "Headmistress," he said with a bow.

"Please keep an eye on Albus Dumbledore while he is packing his belongings up," she requested. "If any items that belong to Hogwarts make it into his suitcase, please retrieve them and place them in my office to sort through later. Make sure you stay unseen."

"Yes Mistress," Pops said as he popped away.

"Would Albus steal from the school?" asked a board member aghast at the very notion.

"Albus has been here so long I doubt he recalls what his belongings are and what belongs to the school," Minerva clarified matter-of-factly. "Pops is the oldest house elf at the school and knows ever single item that belongs to the school. It is simply a precautionary on my part."

"Sensible," Augusta Longbottom agreed while nodding in approval. "Seems you are already making an effort to see Hogwarts protected."
