Overcoming Demons

This is a what if AU of if Obito was found by Minato after the Kanabi Bridge mission, and Obito solving the question of how he survived as he goes through life and figuring out how his going to go on when he was told he would never be a ninja again in Konaha with his severe injuries. I will rate each chapter as I go cause some will be more graphic than others.

AN: This is a story I've been wanting to post for a long time and I hope you like it.

His head pounded from all sides, his vision slightly fuzzy as he opened his only eye, finding a white wash ceiling before him, an insistent beeping coming from his left made him want to turn his head over in curiosity, but the motion itself caused severe pain to erupt from the base of his neck. A grunt of pain left his dry lips, and before long a face appeared in his sight of vision by the looks of her clothing she looked to be a nurse. Now he wondered if he was even dead for as much as he knew there were no nurses in the afterlife.

"Obito-kun, please don't move you might hurt yourself," she said a worried expression written all over her sweet looking face.

"Where am I?" Obito forced out his voice raspy from disuse.

"Oh, you're in Konaha's district hospital after the Yondaimai Hokage brought you in sweetie," she said as she raced over to a table to pour him a glass of water, "Now, I'm gonna prop you up with a pillow so I can help you drink this, is that okay sweetie."

He stared at her for a while taking in her sweet smile and sincere sapphire eyes as she smiled down at him. He gave her his approval with the careful nod of his head. Her smile seemed to brighten as she carefully made her way to him carefully lifting him and propping a pillow beneath him. She lifted the cup to his lips and tipped it over into his mouth. Obito took big gulps, sating his thirst.

She put the cup down afterwards, and wrapped Obito up nicely into the comforters, and placed a small device in his hand with a red button on top. "If you need me sweetie, just push that button on that device and I'll come rushing to your aid medical-ninja style okay," she said with a smile.

Obito smiled as she left the room telling him to rest up or she will force him to sleep with a nice looking syringe, which made Obito sweat drop as she left.

Obito decide to heed her warning and drifted off to sleep.
