A/N: This chapter pretty much follows the previous one where Trish, Jericho, Mickie and Randy all have dinner together. It's also the first contact that Randy has with Mickie.
Jericho, Trish and Mickie finally arrived at the restaurant after spending almost one hour in traffic.
"Gosh, finally! I was already starting to panic inside this car." – said Trish.
"Don't be such a drama queen Trish ahaha. We are here, it's all that matters."
"Mickie is right. Let's enjoy our night and forget the rest." – said Jericho.
All three left Jericho's car and suddenly someone approached them.
"Hi."
"Orton? What are you doing here?" – said Trish hoping he was just passing by.
"I invited him to have dinner with us." – answered Jericho.
"You what?!" – yelled Trish as she grabbed Jericho's arm. – "Please tell me you are joking. Why would you invite him?"
"He's going through a hard time. He needs some friendly faces around him."
"I'm not his friend."
"Trish, come on. Don't act like this. Give the guy a chance."- asked Jericho.
"I don't know… I don't trust him."
"For me?" – asked Jericho giving Trish a smile.
Trish melted over that smile. Jericho could be charming when he wanted and she always felt like blushing when he smiled at her.
"Fine. You win. But I swear to God that if he starts being an idiot, I leave the restaurant."
"Okay, deal."
After seeing Trish so uncomfortable with his presence, Randy felt even more weird being there.
"Look, if Trish doesn't want me here, it's fine. I'll leave."
"Hey, don't worry about it. She's just being Trish." – said Mickie smiling. – "My name is Mickie by the way. You?"
"Randy. Nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you too."
Trish and Jericho joined them and all four went inside the restaurant. The waiter walked them to their table and they ordered.
"This place is really nice and the food is great." – said Mickie – "Did you pick the place Chris?"
"Yeah. I'm a regular here. It's close to my house."
"Good taste man." – said Randy – "And thanks for inviting me, I really appreciate it."
"No problem dude."
The restaurant band started to play a slow song and Mickie, who felt sorry for ruining the date night for Jericho, decided to play matchmaker.
"You guys should dance!"
"Who?" – asked Trish.
"You and Chris. Come on Chris, ask her." – said Mickie with a smile towards Jericho.
"Hum.. I don't know if she is up for the challenge."
"Sorry? I'm the best dancer you will ever meet." – answered Trish.
"Alright, let's see that." – said Jericho.
He took Trish's hand to the dance floor and they started dancing.
"Those two are so cute together, don't you think?" – asked Mickie.
"I guess…" – answered Randy.
"Are you okay? You have been quiet all night."
"Yeah… You know I'm not used to go out like this."
"What do you mean like this?" – asked Mickie.
"With friends."
"You don't have friends?
"Not really. Not anymore."
Randy knew he wasn't exactly the most popular guy in the locker room. He had done a lot of stupid stuff and ended up pushing everyone away.
"Sorry to hear that. Look, I know we don't know each other but here's my number." – said Mickie as she wrote her phone number in a piece of paper. – "If you ever need to talk."
Randy was surprised. He was usually the one giving girls his number, not the other way around.
"Thanks." – said Randy with a smile.
"A smile at last! You should do it more often you know?"
Randy couldn't help but laugh. Mickie was a really nice girl and after so long, he was actually enjoying the night.
"Having fun?" – said Jericho.
"We are just talking." – said Mickie.
"Yeah, you have a really nice friend Trish." – said Randy.
"I know. By the way it's starting to be late, I think we should get going."
"Yeah, you might be right. I have to be at FCW early in the morning."
"You are at FCW?" – asked Randy.
"Yeah. I'm training there. Hopefully I'll get called up soon."
"I'm sure you will." – said Randy smiling at Mickie.
Trish could feel the flirtation in the air and she hated it. Mickie was one of her best friends and there was no way she would let Orton get close to her.
"Chris, can you please drive us home?" – asked Trish.
"Sure. No problem. Let's go."
All four left the restaurant and to their respective cars.
"Hey Mickie!" – called Randy.
"Yeah?"
"Thank you for tonight. It was fun."
"No problem, anytime." – said Mickie with a smile on her face.
"Was it a good night or what?" – asked Chris to Randy – "Just make sure I don't regret inviting to this."
"Thanks man, I appreciate it. And yes, it was a great night. You were right, I needed to get out of the hotel room."
"I'm always right, dude." – Jericho laughed – "Drive safe."
Jericho entered his car while Mickie and Trish were already in. They drove back to their hotel.
Randy entered his car and he couldn't help but think about that night. He hadn't had that much fun in a while. As he reached his pocket to get the car keys, he found the paper with Mickie's number. He smiled at it.
"Are you smiling over a girl Randy? Shake it out dude. Her smile was beautiful though…"
He started his car and drove back to his hotel, with Mickie's smile on his head and a happy feeling over a great night.
A/N: And that's it! End of chapter 4. I haven't updated in so long but I felt so inspired and decided to continue this story. I'm trying to write it with as much details as possible so that you can feel a true interaction between characters. Hope you guys enjoy it & please let me know what you think of it so far. Stay tuned for the next chapter!
