Chapter 3: Lauren's plan and Kai is a new host

Two days later in the host club everything was going like it normally does in the host club that is until Tamaki came up with a new idea for the seven selected students "WHAT?" Sarah shouted not that she didn't understand the plan it was because of the plan Tamaki came up with but he didn't understand the different means of the word 'What' so he explained the plan again "I would like you seven to be maids in our club activity, please" Sarah looked at the maid outfit and thought about how Lauren and Kai would act to this idea especially Kai being a boy himself.

Lauren's pov:

Me and Kai had just entered the club when suddenly we were grabbed by the twins and slung into the changing rooms and was passed two maid dresses with them saying "The others are all ready dressed up in these so hurry up and get ready" and they left the room, I looked at Kai and Kai looked at me then dropped the dress onto the floor while saying "I'm not wearing a dress" I nodded my head and followed him out of the room just to be met by the twins again, I just shook my head and said "You have no way in hell of getting me or Kai into a dress" and walked straight pass them with Kai close behind.

The twins didn't like the response I gave them, so they grab mine and Kai's arms and spun us around and said "You have to, if you are going to be working here" Kaoru said he was grabbing Kai's arm, Kai snatched his arm away from Kaoru's grip and said "We don't care besides there's one thing about us, we are tomboys, we don't do dresses" "Well if you don't wear it" Hikaru spoke this time still having grip on my arm "We'll have to make you wear it" Kaoru finished while looking at me in Hikaru's grip, I looked between them and snatched my arm away from Hikaru and shouted "PISS OFF" everyone in the room went silent and looked towards us and I just walked away from them.

Nomal pov:

"LAUREN WAIT" Kai shouted after Lauren as she was headed to the other end of the room clearly upset with the conversation, Kai caught up to her and seen that she had calmed down a bit and Lauren saw Kai next to her and she felt more relieved but then started to worry so she asked "What are we going to do, if they make us wear those dresses?" "I don't know, maybe I could wear a bra" Kai answered and Lauren looked at him confused and then started to laugh at the idea and said " Wait a minute you don't have any" "Well I could always wear this" Kai said pulling out a bra from his bag and held it out for Lauren to see, Lauren looked at the bra and realised it was hers "Hey that's mine Kai, give it back" Lauren tried to grab it but Kai held it out more and said "But I might need it" "No, you won't because you won't be wearing a god damn dress and neither will I" Lauren said while still trying to grab her bra from Kai.

"What do you mean?" Kai asked lowing his hand, a chance for Lauren to grab her bra and stuff it in her bag before anyone else sees it then turned around and said "Wait and see, now follow me" Lauren said pointing to the direction of where Kyoya was standing.

Lauren's pov:

I walked up to Kyoya and said "Hey Kyoya, can I ask you something please" "Sure go ahead" Kyoya said while looking in his file and jotting something down before looking towards me and Kai, "Well, you see me and Kai really don't do the whole wearing dresses thing, so I was wondering if it's alright for us to we wear something more to our liking" I explained with a smile on my face and I could see Kai looking confused with where the conversation was going "Sure, I have no problems with you doing that, as long as it is suitable and looks smart then go ahead" he said looking back into his book and carried on with what he was doing, I just nodded and smiled then grabbed Kai the arm and picked up both dresses and went to a separate room and started to remake a new design.

Fifteen minutes went by and I had just finished remaking our costumes, I gave Kai his costume and pushed him into a changing room and I went into another changing room to change into my new costume, We stepped out of the changing rooms and had a look at the work I had done and they look a lot better than they did, we both went back into the club room and stood against a wall until Kyoya gave me and Kai a tray each to hand out drinks and sweets to the guests, as we was serving some drinks we could hear some of the guests giggling every time I looked towards them which confused me at first.

After ten mintues had gone by some guests from Haurhi and Tamaki's list came up to me and Kai as we finished our last serving and asked ""Are you two, new hosts of the club?" I looked at Kai and Kai looked at me but before I could say anything Kai jumped in and said "Well no, we are just here as waiters for the club" "But then again they have come up to talk to us, so in a way we are kind of hosting as well, so I'd say we're fifty/fifty" I said joining in after seeing Tamaki's ripping his hair out at the scene, we spent a lot of our time talking to the guests and laughing with them, then it was closing time for the club so we said our goodbye to the guests.

After the club closed we was still in the club room, as we came out of the changing room area Tamaki was there ranting on about something and then he saw us standing here watching, so he came up to us and shouted "WHAT DO YOU TWO THINK YOU WAS DOING?" "We was working" Kai started to answered "Not our fault the guests wanted to talk to us, so we spoke with them, no big deal" I said finishing off the explanation and sat down next the Hikaru who was playing a game with Kaoru on the other side and Tamaki followed "YEAH BUT AS A GUY" Tamaki shouted and then went on a quiet rant about how we should our inner beauty.

I was stood next to Shilpa and Kai as we watched the scene that was playing in front of us, I looked at Kai and then to Shilpa then shook my head at how the Host Club had clicked on about Kai, "Yeah the reason about that is that Kai is a guy" Shilpa said from the side of me then suddenly the whole of the Host Club apart from Kyoya stood there staring at Kai and then to me, I was nodding to what Shilpa just said, I watch the members slowly come back to reality after a shook discovery and when decide to leave and go look for Sarah.

I went to the changing room area and as I entered Sarah was just coming at from behind the curtain, I smiled at her and then said "Hey Sarah I have something for you to try on" I gave her the bag of her newly found costume that I made for her, she took the bag and looked inside it then looked to me with a smile on her face to say 'Thanks' as she turned around to enter the changing room behind the curtain I left the room to go find what the others was up to.

As I entered the room, I was Tamaki in his corner growing mushrooms again, Kyoya on his laptop no surprise there, Hunny eating cake and Mori sat with him at a table, I couldn't see Haruhi, Nat, Kat or Kirstie-anna so they might of gone somewhere, then in the corner of my eye at the back of the room was Kai jumping on the sofa, I signed and started to walk over to him but before I could to that two faces popped up in front of me with again on their faces, it was the twins "What do you two want?" I asked stepping back from them, they looked at each other and one by one they spoke with Kaoru starting it off "Well" "We was" Hikaru said following after "Wondering" Kaoru said while walking to stand beside me and placed an arm around my shoulder "What you are doing?" Hikaru said standing in front of me with his arms crossed over "For the upcoming dance this Friday?" Kaoru said finishing it off and looked over at Kaoru and then to Hikaru then signed and simply said "Easy, not going" then walked away from them and carried on walking towards Kai.

As I reached Kai who was now sitting down on the sofa looking tied, Tamaki walked up to us saying "But you have to go my darling daughter" I looked at him with a death glare but he didn't notice until I spoke in a angry tone "What? And when did I become your daughter, Tamaki" He stood still where he was and then took a step back, I could hear Kai laughing at Tamaki's reaction and then when he calmed down he said "Don't worry Tamaki; she's not a wild animal, she not going to kill" I looked at Kai and then to Tamaki and saw that Tamaki looked scared, I just shook my head and placed it on Kai shoulder when I sat down next to him.

Then Tamaki carried on saying "For the dance on Friday you girls must practise the waltz and wear dresses, as well as you must dance with a lest one of the members of the Host Club" I just sat there looking at Tamaki and was about to answer back when Kai cut me off by saying "Yes I get out of it" and then chuckled to himself but then Kyoya was stood behind us and had a grin on his face which I thought was not good for Kai "No Kai, you have become the new host within the club now, so you must attend and dress smartly and also learn the waltz" Kyoya said and then went back to looking into his book, Kai looked towards him and then to the floor looking like he was hoping that the floor had swallowed him up and took he in hell, I just shook my head and nudged him to snap him out of it and he did.
