Chapter 5: Friday night of the dance
Lauren pov:
The night of the dance has come, but the night had started off a little bit wired for me, I was in the clubroom's changing area, putting on the dress that Hikaru had giving me yesterday as I put it on I noticed that in was a knee length dress with black outlining around the bottom and top and a one arm strap that goes across the front (right to left) and then across the back (left to right) then off that strap was like a small cape which was black that went with the red strap and then the body part of the dress was red with black gems in the corner shaped into a rose, I also had black gloves with it "Not my style but it's better then what Tamaki wanted me to wear" I said to myself while slipping on my shoes and picking up my hand bag, I then left the room.
As I left the clubroom, I walked down to the Ballroom, as I opened the doors and entered the room and near the door was Sarah in a blue and white dress, she turned around to me and looked at me gabbed smacked and I just shook my head and said "Hey, sorry I took so long it's been agers since I wore a dress" Sarah laughed and shook her head then looked at what is happening in the room and said "It's ok, the host club is busy with finding which random girl to dance with at the moment, so no one knows" I laughed a little bit and then shrugged my shoulders at her and then walked a bit more into the room with her following behind me.
As I looked around the room, I saw Nat and Kat standing near the table of food and drinks, then I saw Shilpa talking to Kirsty-anna and then saw Sarah walk towards them, I also spotted Kai dancing with some girl in the middle of the dance floor, I laughed at the scene in front of me and then I started to feel a little bit dizzy, so I decided to go outside and get some fresh air.
When I stepped outside, I noticed that the weather was very nice because it wasn't cold or windy it just felt right, then walked towards some railing and looked up at the sky and noticed that the stars had come out and it looks absolutely beautiful, even the tree's looked lovely, while I took the landscape before me I ended up going into a daydream where I blocked everything around me out and it felt blissful, then suddenly felt someone behind me so I snapped out of my daydream and turned around to see that the person was Hikaru "Hey" he said laughing at me, I snapped him on the arm and then said "Hey" "So you ok?" he asked while rubbing the spot where I hit him "Yeah am fine, it's just that I feel wired in this dress" I said looking down at the dress and then looked at Hikaru.
"Really, well I think that you look...lovely in it" Hikaru said looking at me with a smile and a slight blush, I just stared at him and then turned my head away from him and up to the sky and said "The sky and trees are beautiful tonight" trying to change the subject but it didn't work because I heard Hikaru say "Yeah they are" but then some music came on and a light that landed on both of us, we looked around and saw that everyone in the ballroom was coming outside.
Then suddenly I spotted the host club standing there smiling and I thought to myself 'What are they planning?' then Tamaki grabbed a microphone out of nowhere and said "Lady's and follow host club members this last dance of the night will be for the special visiter of the school" "As for Kai he will be sitting out for this dance due to him twisting his ankle" Kyoya said straight after Tamaki had finished his speech to notify everyone of Kai's injuy.
I looked towards Hikaru and saw that he was bowing in front of me and then held out a hand towards me, I reached out and took his hand and he pulled me a bit closer to him and we started dancing as the music started, I looked around and saw the Sarah was dancing with Kaoru, Nat was dancing with Hunny, Shilpa dancing with Mori, Kat dancing with Kyoya and Kirsty-anna was dancing with Tamaki, I also tried to spot Haurhi but I couldn't see her anywhere but I just left it at that and looked back towards Hikaru, he was smiling at me and I smiled back at him, I could hear all the other girls cheering and awing at us.
But my focus was snapped away, as Hikaru leaned into my ear and said "Hey Lauren" "Yeah" I answered back in a whisper while looking over his shoulder "About what you said about the sky and trees" he continued to say in a whisper so only I could hear "Yeah, what about them?" I asked as I turned to look at him but ended up leaning my head onto his shoulder "Well, they're not as beautiful as you are right now" he said and leaned back away from me as the music stopped, I just look at him and blushed at what he said to me, I then turned my head away.
As everyone stopped dancing, the people watching clapped and then Tamaki stood up on the balcony and said "Ladies of the host club, we are sad to say that this dance has come to a close and to say that we are to say our goodbyes to three people that are leaving tonight to return home" at the sudden news I looked around to see who the three that are leaving but the listened to Kyoya as he read out the names "Kat, Shilpa and Kirsty-anna we hope that your stay here at Ouran Academy was a great experience for you and we hope to see you again soon."
Later that night, when all the guests had gone home, the coach had turned up to take Shilpa, Kat and Kirsty-anna back home to England, I hugged my friends and said that I'll see them soon when I come home, they nodded their heads and their goodbye to everyone then got on the coach once they was on the coach and settled down the coach pulled off and we all waved bye to them, then we went to limo's that was waiting to take people home.
As we got home, I helped Kai up the stairs to his bedroom that he was staying in and then placed him on the bed, as I pulled away Kai grabbed my arm and said "I hear that you and Hikaru are going out for the day on Saturday" I took my arm out of his grip and smiled to him saying "Yes I am" before leaving the room and headed towards mine but then stopped in my tracks as I saw Hikaru in front of me, Hikaru looked at me for a second and then said "Lauren, stay with me" then he closed the space between us and all I could say was "Hikaru" before he leaned in and kissed me on the lips and placed a hold on me.
We finally pulled away from each other for air, then Hikaru places his head on to mine and I look up into his eyes and see the passionate love in his eyes then he said "I love you, Lauren" and then peaked me on the lips again before leading me down the hall.
