A/N: Thanks to all of you who read and reviewed for the previous chapter. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I hope you like this final chapter just as much.
Disclaimer: I own no one in this chapter.
The sky was now dark and filled with stars. Crickets could be heard chirping. A cool, crisp wind filled the atmosphere. Many people were already starting to leave. Will glanced at his watch and saw that it was 9:15. The park would be closing in forty five minutes.
"Wow, time really does fly by when you're having fun. Should we go get our stuff from the locker and go home, now?" Will asked.
"Can we get some shaved ice, first?" Henry pleaded.
"I could use some shaved ice and maybe we sit by the wishing fountain while we eat it?" JJ suggested.
"There's a wishing fountain, here?!" Henry excitedly asked.
"Sure is, buddy. It's right by the front gates. Didn't you see it when we first got here?" Will asked.
"Nope."
"You were probably too excited to even noticed it." Will smiled at his son. "Well, I'm gonna go get our stuff out of the locker. JJ can you get the shaved ices? Blueberry for me, please."
"Sure can." JJ said.
"Thanks." Will said as he then walked away.
A few moments later, the three LaMontagne's were sitting by the wishing fountain, with all their stuff and enjoying shaved ices. As he had wanted, Will had a blueberry flavored shaved ice. JJ chose a strawberry flavored one and Henry decided on lime.
"Did you have fun today, sweetheart?" JJ asked her son.
"Mmhm. I really like that play that we saw at the theater. It was really funny." Henry grinned as he took a bite of his cold treat. "Can we come back here again, someday?"
"Sure can, buddy. And maybe we can invite Jack, too?" Will suggested.
"Really?!" Henry's eyes lit up at the mention of Jack's name.
JJ and Will shared a laugh at their son's excitement. Henry was very fond of Jack and always looked up to him. And Jack was always very fond and protective of Henry. When together, the two of them were inseparable. They were almost like brothers.
"I bet Jack would love to come here with us, next time." JJ said.
"I bet he would too. Can I have some money for the wishing fountain, please?" Henry asked, changing the subject.
"You sure can, buddy." Will fished through the pockets of his jeans and handed a handful of change over to his son.
"Thanks daddy." Henry said as he took the change from his father.
"You're welcome."
"Hope your wishes come true, sweetheart." JJ said.
"So do I, mommy." Henry replied back.
As Henry through coins into the wishing fountain, JJ and Will quietly chatted with each other, enjoying their shaved ices and every once in a while, glancing at their son.
"When I was getting our stuff out of the locker, I glanced at that book, that I bought earlier and found out a lot of interesting stuff about this place." Will said.
"Really? What does it say?"
"Well, on the 17th of May in 1987, nearly 40 acres of this place was destroyed by a tornado." Will said.
"Oh wow. I never knew that. Does it say in the book how long it took to rebuild everything that was destroyed?"
Will opened the book and found the page about the 1987 tornado. "It says it took a year and seven months."
"Wow, they must have worked really fast." JJ said.
"Well, they did have over two hundred and fifty people, helping. So that can explain why they got done, in a short about of time." Will scanned through the pages a few moments more, until another interesting article caught his attention. "Oh and here it says that on August 26th of 1993, the theater was destroyed by a fire."
"How did that happen?"
"Someone accidently left a hair iron on in one of the dressing rooms. Luckily, everyone in the building managed to escape with little to no injuries. Took at least six months to rebuild it." Will continued to read some more, until he found something. "Wow, this is interesting."
"What? What is it?"
"Did you know that the Upside Down Mansion is said to be haunted by the spirit of a…"
"Wooo! I'm rich! I'm rich!" Will was interrupted by the shouts of his son.
Will and JJ turned their attention to Henry and laughed at what he was doing. Henry was inside of the fountain, jumping like a crazy person and stuffing handfuls of coins into the pockets of his jeans. They knew it was just a prank. Other people, however, were not amused. There were glares, whispers and a few eye rolling. Eventually, nearly everyone walked away, but one woman walked up to Will and JJ with an angry look on her face.
"Excuse me, but is that your little boy?" She rudely asked as she pointed to Henry.
"Sure is." Will and JJ proudly said in unison.
"Well, I wouldn't be too proud if I were you."
"And why's that?" JJ asked.
"Do you see what he's doing?!"
JJ and Will turned their attention to Henry for a moment and smiled. Shortly after, they turned their attention back to the angry woman.
"Ma'am, my wife and I could be wrong about this, but we think whatever he wished for, may have came true. We don't know, it just looks that way." Will said.
"Wait, just to be sure, I'll asked him." JJ then turned her attention back to her son and said, "Hey, sweetheart! What did you wish for?!"
"I wished for lots of money!" Henry happily exclaimed as he was still shoving handfuls of coins into the pockets of his jeans.
"Did it come true, buddy?!" Will attention was now on his son, too.
"Yeah! Now get in here and help me!" Henry demanded.
"You got it, sweetheart!" JJ said. She then turned to Will and said, "You heard the kid. He wants us to help him."
Angering the woman even more and annoying what was left of the crowd, JJ and Will removed their shoes and got into the wishing fountain. They also began helping their son scoop up handfuls of change. They noticed that people were staring and even whispering about them, but they didn't mind at all.
"I should report the three of you to the manager!" The woman angrily shouted as she then walked away.
"Have a good evening, ma'am!" Will called after her.
A few moments later, the manager never showed up and everyone in the crowd had grown bored of watching the three LaMontagne's and just left. Will and JJ just figured the angry woman just went home without reporting them to the manager. Both Will and JJ stepped out of the fountain and put their shoes back on their feet.
"Well, that was fun, wasn't it?" Will asked with a smile.
"Sure was. That woman was really mad." JJ laughed.
Will let out a laugh too, agreeing with his wife. "You two ready to go home, now?"
"I am." JJ said. "Henry, sweetheart, are you ready to get out of the wishing fountain and go home?"
"Yeah, just a minute. I have to put all these coins back. I didn't really wish for lots of money. I wasn't going to take away all the wishes people made at this fountain." Henry admitted.
"We know you wasn't, buddy. So, what did you really wish for?" Will asked.
"Can't tell you. It might not come true." Henry then hopped out of the fountain.
The End
"Humor is the great thing, the saving thing after all. The minute it crops up, all our hardnesses yield, all our irritations, and resentments flit away, and a sunny spirit takes their place." ~Mark Twain
Well, we've reached the end of my "Annoying Ways" series. I must admit, I am a little sad that it's all over, but as they all say, "Everything must come to an end." I really enjoyed writing this series and I hope you all enjoyed reading it. If any of you are wondering as to why I didn't write one for Gideon, Elle, Kate or any other character of Criminal Minds, well it's because I'm all out of ideas now. So, I just ended it with JJ being the last one. Anyway, please review for this final chapter. Thank you and I greatly appreciate it.
