Chapter 4

The ladies had finally decided on watching Cloud Atlas at the cinema, while Ziva, Kelly and Abby were waiting Maddie was buying the tickets. Meanwhile Ziva and Kelly were talking with each other: "Just out of pure curiosity Kelly are dating anyone in particular right now?" Gibbs daughter grinned a little at the Mossad Liasion Officer, trying very hard to cover up the blush that crept on her face. Ziva would surely be surprised that Gibbs daughter had a crush on someone the Mossad Liasion Officer knew very well: Special Agent Mc Gee and of course that posed the question to her: Could she really put her good friend in that kind of position?

Because in the end she knew all too well, that her father didn't like one thing for sure: when someone close to him wasn't honest and it even reminded her of that one particular rule, which she didn't know the number of right now: "Don't believe what you are been told, always double check. "

She finally answered: "No, I'm not dating anyone in particular right now because let's just say…there really hasn't been the one Mister Right." Maddie finally returned with the tickets for her and the rest of the ladies in her hands and shortly before they had reached the room, where the movie played Kelly said to the rest of the girls: "You know what? This little movie night isn't complete without some popcorn for us." The girls instantly agreed on that suggestion, Kelly silently signaling her childhood friend to accompany her to the cash desk and of course Maddie totally understood what that meant: Time for some girls talk. Meanwhile the rest of the ladies already made their way to their respective seats. Because there still was a little bit of time left before the commercials would start Abby and Ziva talked about "that little moment" at the ticket sales desk. Ziva definitely had quite a lot of tricks up her sleeve, when she wanted to get any kind of information from Mc Gee or Tony but a Gibbs was surely very hard to crack.

Maddie had surely witnessed that little scene between her childhood friend and Ziva, of course being the only one right now that Kelly had told about her crush on Tim Mc Gee. Kelly didn't have the guts yet to tell her father because he had the tendency to get totally overprotective when it came to things involving his daughter and she could tell a lot of stories about that.

"So do you think that Mini-Gibbs maybe hiding something?" Abby asked Ziva, the goth of course being very curious what her good friend's gut told her and her gut feeling had never ever let her down in the past. The Mossad Liasion Officer thought about that question for a while till she finally answered: "It's possible that she has at least a secret crush on somebody and maybe doesn't want to admit, because she's scared of her father's reaction."

"I wonder who that could be but no matter who it is I would surely be happy for Kelly." Abby replied and continued to anxiously wait for the popcorn to arrive. As Maddie and Kelly were finally on their way back from the cash desk, each of them carrying to bags of popcorn, Maddie asked her childhood friend: "Do you think that your father has noticed? " But as Kelly looked at her a little confused at first she added: "You know, that you want to be something more as friends with one of your co-workers?" Kelly almost choked on the popcorn she ate on the way, stopped suddenly to digest this for a moment before she finally answered: "I surely hope not because I don't think that he would make an exception considering this one particular rule just because of the fact that I'm his daughter."

"Is your dad really strict with the rules? Maybe he will make an exception if you tell him it with some…consideration." Maddie replied with a little smirk on her face in attempt to ease her friend's tension a little bit. They continued their walk to the theater were they would watch the movie with the other ladies and Kelly tried her best to get the worries out of her head for the next two hours.

Maddie and Kelly then passed the popcorn bags out the others and then sat down in their seats as they all waited for the commercials to start.

Meanwhile back at Jethro Gibbs house, Gibbs and Hollis were surely happy to have this much time for themselves and were now watching a movie together on the new TV that he just had bought because the old one was broken after all these years and so Kelly had bought a new one. His daughter had really hated that old ugly thing, of course she knew that her dad had never considering buying a new one because he had been so busy with building boats in the basement but she had insisted to do a movie night at least on one evening in the week but with one condition: "Please do me a favor that we only watch films from this century, because I don't want to feel that old as you dad."

Hollis of course was allowed to choose the movie to watch on this evening and the former Army CID Officer had decided on "Sleepless in Seattle" with Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks, which was one of her favorite romantic movies on a longer list. Hollis had rested her head softly on Gibbs shoulder, he having swung one arm around her waist and both of them surely enjoying being so close to the other one. Back in Hollis mind she was imagining a little bit, how life would be with Gibbs as her husband and Kelly as her daughter but one question made her second guess this whole thing: Was she really ready to replace that one big love in Jethro's life his first wife Shannon that had tragically died in a car accident?
