Alrighty! New chapter! So, as you know I asked you guys to determine the ships for this one! If your ship didn't make it into this fanfic, then request it as soon as this four part one is over! Ex: You voted for Sticy, but Nalu is here. Request it next and I will do it! My promise it to you guys it as long as you request things, this fanfic will keep going. So if you request a ship again I will write it again and technically this could go on forever. But then again I would probably get bored or die at some point.
Without further ado, I present the next chapter!
After the last line, Mirajane demanded Levy change reading responsibilities since she figured Levy was about to an important character.
Taking her place was none other than Mira herself, she wanted to be able to read a fanfic with four or five ships in it!
She giggled with glee as she looked at the length of the fanfic before plopping herself in a chair to start reading.
The guild awoke with a start upon hearing a roar in their guild. Everyone's face contorted to horror as they looked at the newly freed dragon slayers.
The men jumped up and surrounded the girls, trying to protect them.
The girls of course refused and got into fighting position.
The guild also visibly flinched when they noticed one lightning dragon slayer gone. Oops.
The four dragon slayers stalked toward the trembling members, while one stepped forward.
Erza Scarlet raised her hand and dropped it quickly.
At the signal groups of 10 all ran in different directions, while everyone drank a scent masking potion. Now everyone had split up and smelled the same, making it harder for the dragon slayers to find them.
Erza had a self-satisfied smirk on her face as she nodded her approval. "Even in stories I am well-prepared."
No one had the heart to tell her that her plan messed up in the first place since the dragon slayers escaped.
Well no one had the heart, and they didn't want to die.
The dragon slayers growled at this and all glanced at each other before splitting up. That is until a red-head warrior attacked in order to stall them.
Surprisingly, even faced against 4 power up dragon slayers, the great Titania managed to hold her own for five minutes.
When she finally retreated to save up strength and go join a group, most members had managed to get mixed in with townsfolk, all wearing things to hide prominent features, like hair colors or their Fairy Tail emblem.
It seemed no dragon slayers were wanting to destroy stuff, so the mages assumed they could risk this.
Hopefully everyone would be able to hide the whole day so the dragon slayers wouldn't find whomever they were looking for.
Some only hid in order to protect the girls that way the dragon slayers wouldn't notice them as easily.
Even the girls weren't all hiding, some knew they weren't that close to the dragon slayers and therefore wouldn't be targeted.
The main wild card was the fact that Laxus had disappeared.
Finally Natsu, Gajeel, Sting, and Rogue were racing through the streets, attempting to find something that was theirs. And whomever had stolen it from them was going to pay.
Lucy and Levy were walking slowly, keeping their heads down in an attempt to stay hidden. Like most other girls in Fairy Tail, they were dressed as opposite of their fashion choices as they could.
Lucy wore brown pants, paired with a drab looking shirt that was practically the color of puke.
Levy on the other hand wore a long black skirt, with a white tank top on top. She also had a brown jacket with a hood on. Her blue hair was a giveaway and therefore had to be hidden.
They also had decided to go somewhere they would usually never go, and ended up in front of a casino.
Glancing at each other, they pushed open the door, flinching when the loud music hit their ears and the colorful lights hit their eyes.
Due to the fact that they both hated losing a lot of money, they only had a 600 Jewels with them. And so their night of gambling began.
"Ugh, I hate casinos. They are just a bunch of games rigged in the owner's favor." "I agree Lu-chan. Remember that time when we went to one with Arashi and Daichi (A/N: Yes I realize I have no imagination when it comes to names)?"
Gajeel growled at hearing this. "When was this and who are they?" he forced out.
Levy looked at him with annoyance. "One, none of your business and two, why do you care? But to answer your question since you will pester me till I tell you, they are my cousins and I don't remember when."
Gajeel of course, never ended up answering her question.
But Lucy continued the story, "I remember that! We had gone since they kept asking so much, but when we got there, they lost all their money in the first 20 minutes. They were the worst gamblers we had ever seen!"
"And how is this of any importance?" Sting asked, annoyed a story that stared him was being interrupted.
"Uh, we just felt like telling it?" Levy responded.
Due to the fact that Mirajane wanted to read the fanfic and find out what happens, she ignored the chatter and continued to read.
As much as the girls called the dragon slayers oblivious, the girls were even more so. The guys at least had a holiday which slapped them in the face and forced them to realize they liked someone or that someone like them.
So it was of much surprise to the girls when both Natsu and Gajeel entered the casino at the same time, Natsu calling out Lucy's name.
Natsu and Gajeel weren't stupid. Well, sometimes.
They knew that the girls wouldn't want to appear like themselves, so they would try to do everything different. Sadly, acting how they normally do would have been a better plan on the girl's part.
"Lucy~, why are you hiding? Don't you wanna hang out with your best friend? I don't know why everyone is avoiding me." Natsu whined, his dragon side attempting to appear as normal as possible.
Gajeel knew he couldn't fake it, so he settled for just looking around, and attempting to sniff Levy out.
Lucy felt a twinge in her chest, feeling bad for her best friend. She began to walk toward him before Levy pulled her back.
"Lu-chan, that's not Natsu right now. He's still under the influence of the festival," she whispered.
The whisper was enough, and Natsu and Gajeel's sensitive ears picked up the noise. The smirked at each other, pretending not to notice.
They 'searched' for the girls, but in reality was just taking their time to walk towards the cowering duo.
Lucy and Levy didn't pick up on this fact, but started walking towards the door while avoiding Natsu and Gajeel.
Once they reached the door, they flung it open and sprinted into the streets.
Natsu and Gajeel followed, chuckling at their attempts to escape.
"Well, at least we know this would never happen. Natsu is too much of an idiot," Gray commented.
Mummers of agreement flowed through the guilds as Natsu glared at his icy rival. "Shut up ice cube."
"Make me flame brain." Natsu almost jumped at Gray before he felt the heat of two glares pierce his back.
One was from a strawberry cake loving girl and the other was from the guild's resident matchmaker.
"Why I have appeared again yet!" Sting cried, finally frustrated enough to voice his annoyance.
"Because, no one wants a guy who still sleeps with a teddy bear in the story," Rogue replied.
Everyone burst out into laughter as Sting turned redder than a tomato. "YOU WEREN'T SUPPOSED TO SAY THAT TO ANYONE!"
At this point Levy and Lucy decided to split up, but quickly put on wigs of the other's hair color.
Hopefully Natsu would chase Levy and Gajeel chase Lucy and then waste time. The closer they stalled to night, the safer they were.
Lucy sprinted toward her house, running towards the boat that the fishermen are always on. When she reached the river, she shouted at them.
"Can I get a ride?!" When the accepted, she quickly jumped on as they pushed off, away from the street.
As she noticed Gajeel round the corner, she grinned, happy their plan worker. Well, until she realized she was being chased by a powered up Gajeel.
She hid behind objects so Gajeel wouldn't notice her and maybe run past her.
It was only until she felt someone sneak up behind her that she felt fear. "Oh no! Levy!" she thought.
Levy raced through the streets, blonde hair flowing behind her. She abruptly stopped when she reached a crowd of people.
Walking at the pace of the crowd, she attempted to blend in. Her only thought was why? Why was Gajeel chasing after her? It wasn't because he… no that couldn't be it.
Mirajane practically screamed in frustration at this sentence. This was what she dealt with every day, trying to get the oblivious idiots in the guild together.
Honestly, without her, she would be sure that the members would be single the rest of their lives.
She slipped into a shop, and almost screamed when she realized where she was. It was a metal shop for crying out loud.
If Gajeel got in here, he could eat anything and be insanely powered up. But as she peeked through the windows, she sighed in relief when she got a glimpse of Natsu's hair. She was safe, for now.
That is, until she realized-
Everyone was annoyed, no one had even spoken! Why did Mira stop?!
"Sorry guys, there's a note here that says that Pine-chan will be emailing the story in chunks. Something about suspense," Mirajane ground out.
A group groan sounded. More waiting.
Mwahaha! I truly am a terrible person. Well, reviews are appreciated!
