Ok now that I have your attention, I have a special proposition. If you would like to see your work featured in the fanfic, send me a story!
The next 5 will be other people's writing, with me being Fairy Tail reacting. In other words, the bolded/italicized part will be written by you guys! Out of the ones sent, I will pick some of my favorites!
Also if you have a few favorites that you have read before, and get permission from the author, I may do one from one of your favorite stories if you send me the authors story/link to the story. (Remember you must get permission with the author before doing this)
Rules:
1. No OC's as the main couple! I can't react to OC's since the guild wouldn't know them as a ship already.
2. The story must be a minimum of 2500 words, maximum is 4,500.
3. Have fun and sent me lots! (You can send multiple)
Note: You will have a more likely chance of getting picked if it's not Nalu or Gale or any repeats in the story.
If you have any questions, send me them!
Deadline: September 1st
I don't own Fairy Tail.
As soon as a moan was heard from the infirmary to confirm that yes indeed, the drunk mage was still alive, the stories continued.
Mira grabbed a random person from the crowd and placed them on the stool.
"You are now our reader, so…, read!" she beamed.
Dear Fairy Tail,
Haven't really written to you guys in a while. Just wanted to check in! Plus, do me a favor and don't tell the ehem mage in this story my home address again! I can't have my house destroyed for a second time.
Love, Pine-chan

And so the story began…
Bookworm and the Beast By: Me
"Ohh, now I get who it is about," many people nodded.
Natsu as always, was clueless. "Wait who?" he asked. "Oh just listen and find out!" Levy laughed.
Levy hummed as she grabbed her recently checked out books and placed them in her basket.
"Wait me again!" Levy cried. "What about, 'oh just listen and find out'," Lucy said, eyes sparkling with laughter.
"Well," she sputtered, "I didn't know it would be me!"
"Really it said bookworm…" Gray said.
"Oh shut up," she huffed.
Surveying her cottage to make sure she got everything, she left crying a goodbye to her father.
She walked slowly to town, drinking in the peace that surrounded her.
A smile unconsciously appeared on her face as she thought about the new book she had heard about.
Apparently it was about this girl who runs away from her father to go on adventures with this guy and his dog. It was a magic filled world and the join a guild called "Fairy Tale".
She couldn't wait to get her hands on a copy.
In all of her daydreaming, she failed to notice she had entered the town. Her feet unconsciously took her to her favorite place in the world.
Heart Library.
"Good morning Levy!" someone cried. She waved back before slipping back into her daydream of handsome princes and daring princesses.
"Hi!" "Hello!" "Good morning!" The town was awake and in full swing.
As soon as she entered the library, Levy's best friend greeted her.
"Hiya Levy! I assume you've heard of the new book?" Lucy laughed.
"Indeed I have!" Levy beamed.
"Well I already read it through to make sure it would make Levy standards, and it passed with flying colors!" Lucy said, pulling out a book from behind a counter.
Levy squealed, grabbing the book and began to leaf through it.
She dropped her old books in the drop off point, waved goodbye to her friend, and entered back into the town.
Nose deep in the book, she failed to notice two spying eyes.
"Today, my dear friend Droy, is the day that Levy becomes my bride!" Jet announced.
"YES!" Jet screamed before realizing he said that out loud. He blushed before running away to a corner as everyone laughed.
"A little too enthusiastic there Jet," Gajeel growled, cracking his knuckles.
"Gajeel leave him alone," Levy said, pouting.
Gajeel's face softened for a fraction of a second before it returned to his resting frown.
"Whatever," he huffed, before sitting down.
"He is wrapped around her little finger," Lissanna giggled to Lucy.
"I heard that," he shouted.
Lissanna and Lucy's face paled before they sat forward to listen to the story.
"Uh, yea no, today she becomes my bride," he responded.
The butted heads and began arguing, only to realize that their target slipped away.
Alarmed, they began to run after her, Jet quickly outrunning Droy.
"Ha, how are you going to get her to marry you if you can't even run fast enough to talk to her?!"
As Jet ran through town, he heard giggles from the girls. His chest puffed out in pride.
Little did he know they were laughing at him because he still had a piece of toilet paper stuck in his pants.
"Hey!" Jet shouted, "Why is the story making me look like an idiot?!"
Everyone glanced at each other, wondering who would be brave enough to respond. Leave it to Natsu though to make dense comments.
"Uh, Luce, isn't it because he is?"
Lucy face palmed, refusing to respond.
Jet's face was shocked, then sad, then angry and launched himself at Natsu.
Gajeel, wanting to prove the he indeed was not wrapped around his Shrimp's little finger, shot a metal rod from his hand and whacked Jet before he reached Natsu.
Before Levy had the chance to get mad at him he held his hands up, "I was just preventing a future fight."
"Sureeeee," she responded.
He was trying to catch up with Levy, but keep being held back by random townsfolk.
It almost looked like they were… singing? Eh, this town was bat-shit crazy, there wasn't much to be said.
He finally made it to the front of the crowd only to find Levy leaving town.
"Levy!" he called to her.
She turned, saw him, then continued to scan her eyes over him before turning and continuing to leave.
He could have sworn she saw him, he despaired as the crowd swallowed him again.
Levy turned from the crowd and sighed in relief when Jet was obstructed from view.
She really didn't want to talk to him. Levy pretended to be oblivious but she was fairly certain he was going to try and propose to her.
She was going to avoid that awkward rejection at all costs.
She made her way down the road, nose deep in her book. Her eyes eagerly drank in all the words and before she realized it, she was home.
She opened the door and entered her home.
Makarov, her father, walked in with a huge grin. "Levy, I've done it!" he said with a gleam in his eye.
"Really?!" she cried. "Really!" he laughed.
"I'm going to head to the Inventors Convention that's in the next town to show my automatic wood chopper!" he declared.
"Oooh, Daddy, I'm so proud of you," Levy said, hugging her father.
He beamed before leaving to pack.
She collapsed onto the couch only to hear someone knocking on the door.
Opening the door revealed Jet and Droy's smiling faces.
Internally Levy groaned, plastering a smile of her face.
"What can I do for you boys?" she asked.
"Levy, Droy and I both wish to marry you. So we have come so you could pick between Fiore's most eligible bachelors," Jet proclaimed.
"Hmm," Levy said nodding, "okay sure. But what makes you think I want to marry either of you?"
"Clearly my charming good looks! As for Droy, er, food I guess," Jet responded.
"Hey! Did you just call me ugly?!" Droy shouted. "I didn't say it, you did!" Jet laughed.
"Er, not to interrupt your flirting, but I don't wish to marry either of you," Levy said.
"Hmm, you know, now that I think about it, Jet and Droy are like always with each other. Do girls ever actually approach those two?" Mirajane commented.
"Dang, you're right Mira!" Makarov guffawed.
"Well, I'll have you know I could get any girl!" Jet proclaimed, "well any non-guild girl."
"Hmm, deal, we shall give you an hour to get one girl to come back with you. But only for you. She can't want to meet any other member."
"Well, what do I get if I complete the task?" Jet asked.
"You get a kiss on the cheek from any girl in the guild!" Makarov proclaimed.
"Hm. Worth it," Jet agreed, "but she also has to go on a date with me!"
All the girls nodded their head in agreement and so the challenge was on. He left and the fanfic started back up. Everyone knew he wouldn't care.
Jet and Droy both faced her with their eyebrows raised. "Well, you're not getting any younger. Everyone knows every respectable girl marries at this age!"
"Psh, I'm only 20!" she exclaimed.
"Uh, exactly," Droy said.
She huffed before slamming the door shut and locking it. She wouldn't put it behind those two idiots to try and come in.
Jet and Droy looked at each other puzzled. "There must be another man. No girl dreams of not wanting to be a housewife!" Jet said. "Agreed, that would be preposterous." Droy nodded.
(A/N: I am not this ridiculous in real life! It's just keeping track with the time period where women were just seen as needing to get married!)
"Why you!" all the girls shouted, preparing to aim some painful magic towards the said mage in the fic.
He screeched and ducked under the table. "I don't think that! It's a fanfiction, not my real thoughts, don't kill me!"
The girls subsided but threw angry glares and pointed their fingers to their eyes and back at him in an 'I'm watching you mister' kind of way.
Levy sighed as she heard receding footsteps. Why was her life so boring?! She wish she could be out with her father, braving the world.
Instead she was stuck in this small town.
Right on cue, her father bustled into the room, suitcases packed and a proud smile on his face.
"Well, I'm off!"
Levy came up and hugged him, "Bye Daddy, stay safe!"
He chuckled, "I will Bookworm, I'll see you in a week."
Levy waved bye as he lumbered out the door.
Her sigh resounded through the house once again. But her face brightened as she remembered the new book and quickly plopped herself on couch to read.
The day flew by and the sun that was so high in the sky dropped down.
As the light began to fade, Levy realized how late it had gotten. She put down the entrancing book and got up to make herself dinner.
Just as she reached the stove she heard a commotion outside.
Levy ran out the door and saw none other than her father's horse, Happy.
He had a panicked look on his face and she saw the green saddle bags still packed.
'Happy is a loyal horse and would never leave Makarov so something must have gone wrong!' Levy thought.
She quickly turned and grabbed a coat from inside the house then locked her front door shut.
She jumped on Happy and they were off.
He weaved through the woods, finally stopping at a split in the road.
One road was dark and foreboding while the other was clear with the stars shining brightly.
'This was just like a movie moment' Levy thought.
She decided with the dark path, after all the other one would not have made Happy so scared. Poor horse had to go through the scary path yet again.
As they ventured further, she began to see eyes reflecting the little light there was. Her mind quickly realized that the two were not alone and urged Happy to run. Just as he took off, wolves appeared from the bushes following their trail. She screamed and pushed Happy to go faster.
The path cleared and they ended up at massive gates. They lead to a huge castle. It had spires that stretched into the sky, looked gloomy and dark. Why in the world could she not see this palace from the town? Also, she had no record in memory of a King or Queen ruling over the area.
Maybe it was just some super rich person's home.
This was all going through her head as she shook the gates screaming to be let inside.
She turned around to see the wolves catching up. She didn't want to die like this so she got ready for a futile fight only to be pulled into the gates. A sigh of relief escaped her as she saw the gates close just as the wolves reached the castle.
She turned around and almost screamed in surprise. To her astonishment, a salamander and snowman were bickering in front of her.
"Dude, what the fuck. HE will murder us now," the snowman, uh, angrily shouted. "Hey, she needed help!" the salamander said holding his hands up.
Ok, she was losing it. Hey, it's perfectly normal to be in shock after a near death experience. She reached up and rubbed her eyes and reopened them. When that didn't work she pinched herself to see if it was a dream.
"Ice-freak, what's she doing? Is she some weirdo?" the salamander (loudly) whispered. "Uh, remember? We aren't human right now," the snowman pointed out.
"You two, could you, uh, explain what's going on here?" Levy asked, feeling somewhat discombobulated.
"Welcome to Metalicana Manor. We serve only the finest of fried salamander," the snowman said bowing.
"fIGHT ME!" the salamander screamed. As the snowman got into battle position a set of armor walked up and clonked the two arguing, people?, on the head.
"I apologize for these two idiots behavior," a feminine voice said, protruding from the suit of armor. "My name is Erza Scarlet, the snowman is Gray Fullbuster, and the salamander is Natsu Dragneel."
"Ha! Even in alternate universes, you two are still idiots!" Gajeel said, howling in laughter. The two in question glared at the iron dragon slayer.
Just as they were about to leap up and fight, two people knocked out the three boys. Mirajane and Erza stood annoyed at the intrusion.
"Leave them alone and the world would be destroyed," Lucy said, shaking her head.
"Uh, nice to meet you," Levy said, shaking hands with the armor.
"I assume you find it weird to see us in this state. This Manor has ten years ago been cursed to transform the people of it into, well, things, for a lack of better words. Even the young master has been changed," the armor, er, Erza said.
Levy nodded in understanding before releasing a barrage of questions, her first questioning the whereabouts of her father.
If armor could pale it certainly did at that question. Or maybe the noise of the castle doors bursting open.
"What is this racket?" a voice booms across the open space. Levy's mouth drops open in shock as the scariest man she has ever seen steps forward.
He was dragon-like, there was no other way to describe him. He had the build of a human but dotted around his body were patches of silver scales. His eyes were slits and sprouting from his head was a large mane of pitch black hair. There were iron studs across his face and his canines were elongated.
She almost ran right there and then.
"Gajeel! How nice to see you! What are you doing outside? Nothing to see here!" the salamander fumbled running up to the hulking man.
"What is this little girl doing on my property?" he rumbled.
That snapped Levy out of her shock.
"For your information, I am not a little girl, I'm 20! Second, I would like to know if my father is in this castle," she said.
"Hah, is your father the bumbling old fool who is the tiniest thing I have ever seen? Shrimp! Well with you as an exception. It seems size runs in the family. But yes, the man is locked in the dungeons below."
"Why you! Let my father go!" she shouted, stomping down her foot.
He burst into laughter before responding, "I shall never release your father. You can offer me nothing of material that I wish."
"Well, what if, what if I switched places with him!" she cried, almost regretting the words but standing by them nonetheless.
"One in exchange for another? I am fine with that. Release the old fool. You, little girl, now belong to this manor. And it doesn't let people go easily. Welcome to your eternal home," he snarled.
Her father was brought out and she ran over to him. "Daddy!" she cried hugging him. "Bookworm? No! Why?! You should have left me in there, I'm old, I will die sooner. You have your whole life ahead of you," he said, tears in his eyes.
"Because, I love you Papa," she said. He was about to respond before he was yanked away from her.
"Oh, boo hoo, she has to stay with the big scary monster. I don't care for sappy scenes."
The man dubbed Gajeel picked up her father dumped him outside the gates before turning back and sweeping in, the gates closing behind him. He went inside, signaling his servants to bring Levy as well.
"I'll save you Levy! I'll get the town to help!" were the last things Levy heard before the doors slammed shut. Oh boy, what did she get herself into now?
She was escorted to a room where she plopped onto the bed. As she sat, her doors opened and a stream of people or things flooded in.
An elegant china pot walked forward and introduced herself as Mirajane. A large goblet followed and introduced himself as Elfman along with a small teacup known as Lisanna.
A beer mug came forward and was known as Cana.
Two puppies came forwards and were none other than two children, Romeo and Wendy.
As the introductions flowed, her doors were opened. Gajeel strode in, an annoyed look displayed on his face. "You are eating dinner with me tonight," he proclaimed, getting ready to leave.
"No."
"No?!"
"No."
His face turned angry and he shouted, "You will eat with me!"
Levy crossed her arms and turned her face away. "No," she stubbornly replied.
"So be it. You shall not eat tonight!" he said, turning heel and leaving. As a parting remark, he turned to his servants, "You all shall not go behind my orders. Dinner should be ready in an hour," before disappearing from view.
"Oooh, Levy just sassed Gajeel!" someone laughed.
Gajeel muttered something in his unconscious state about stupid writers and address of a certain person's house.
Mavis knows why people liked to write about other people's lives.
The gathered all quickly scattered away to prepare dinner but the three Levy originally met stayed.
"You wouldn't happen to know Lucy Heartfillia?" Natsu asked.
"Lu-chan?! Of course I know her, she's my best friend! Wait, how do you guys know her?"
"She used to visit us often and just talk to us outside the gates. She was the first human we had seen since this castle was cursed. She stopped visiting two years ago for some reason," Gray said.
"Huh, that's weird. Lu-chan never told me she visited anyone. In fact, she didn't even tell me about this castle."
"Well, nonetheless, come downstairs in an hour and a half. We shall give you dinner if you promise not to tell," Erza said.
"I promise," Levy said, eagerly nodding in anticipation for food. Just as she said that, her stomach growled in agreement. She blushed before waving bye to the departing three.
She decided to sleep during the hour and a half to pass the time.
~Dream~
Levy ran through the crowd, desperate to escape. She had never felt this unsettled before. Someone, no, something was chasing her.
She could almost feel the evil aura emanating from them. She kept running all the way to the castle.
Just as she reached the gates, the castle crumbled down. All that was left was ruins and a single dead rose.
She reached for the rose and as soon as she made contact with it, she was grabbed from behind. It all went black.
~End of Dream~
Levy sat up shaking. She felt cold and sweaty at the same time. She quickly took a shower and changed before going downstairs for her meal, hoping to shake off the terrifying dream.
She reached downstairs only to be whisked away to a grand dining table. To her surprise, Gajeel was sitting, waiting for her.
"I apologize for my actions. Now let's eat," the man said gruffly, clearly not meaning his words. Well, the eat part yes.
Levy decided to just go with it so she sat at the table as the food began to be served.
"So Gajeel," she said, attempting a peace offering. Well that is until she saw his start to eat.
He just began eating without utensils or hands, simply dropping his head and eating.
Her jaw dropped as she saw the terrible manners. She got up and marched over to him.
"How in the world did you learn to eat?!" she exclaimed.
"What's wrong with how I eat?!" he said gruffly.
"Everything!" she couldn't hold back. She grabbed his hand and stuffed a fork into it. "Use silverware, dear Mavis!"
He rolled his eyes but complied anyways. "Don't think I can tolerate you because of this," he huffed. She giggle and their meal continued, but not before a gleam appeared in the eyes of one teapot.
~ 2 Weeks Later ~
Levy had gotten used to her new residence. She learned the West Wing was a BIG no-no. It probably wasn't a good idea to get the young 'master' mad. Most importantly, she would get really fat from the delicious food served.
Just after another meal, she was walking the grounds, thinking about her books and sorely missing them.
She decided to ask for a trip to her house to grab some.
Just as she turned to go inside, Gajeel appeared.
"Oh Gajeel! I was wondering if I could go to town to get some books."
He looked like he was thinking of something before sighing and waving her to follow him.
Gajeel lead Levy to the East Wing, to a large set of doors. Pushing them open, he revealed a humongous library, stocked to the brim with books.
Levy's eyes widened in shock and excitement before turning and hugging the man shouting "thank you thank you thank you!"
In all her excitement she failed to notice a blush appearing of the man's face.
Lucky for her, three snooping servants caught sight and went to go give their lovely Mirajane a report.
Soon months flew by and the pair grew closer and closer. Little did they know, there were people conspiring to tear them apart.
When Makarov had burst into town crying his daughter had been stolen, no one believed him. Yet as months went by and the lovely inventor's daughter hadn't returned, people grew more and more worried.
Most angry was none other than Jet and Droy, who had decided that Levy must have become infatuated with the so called 'beast' Makarov mentioned to have not returned.
There were going to tear the two apart. First they needed the town behind them.
Back in the castle, Levy was wandering through the castle, not paying attention to where she was walking. Before long she ended up at some scratched doors, and her curiosity propelled her forward.
Inside the room was a lovely painting of a young boy with a wild mane of black hair. His eyes were sharp but his smile soft. He looked exactly like Gajeel. But for some reason, the painting had scratches marring it.
The room itself was a mess, things broken everywhere.
The one thing intact was a glass case. Resting inside the case was a glowing blue rose with 4 petals. Below were 10 others. She began to reach her hand toward the rose before the doors burst open.
Gajeel looked enraged as he stalked to her. "What did I tell you about the West Wing? It. Is. Off. Limits," he roared.
"I-I'm sorry! I just got lost and I didn't mean to!" Levy babbled.
"Get out. Just get out."
Levy ran away but not before noticing his sad gaze directed towards the rose.
He ignored her, but she slowly got through with her apologies.
Eventually the two made up and were having fun in the winter season.
One day, after dinner, Levy was presented with a gorgeous golden dress. It cascaded in layers, resembling rose petals.
As she came down in the dress, she saw Gajeel wearing a blue suit. His hair had been tied together and he looked positively handsome.
He offered her his arm and they danced that night, the pair glowing in the moonlight.
"I highly doubt Gajeel can dance. He would probably hurt someone's eyes if they watched him," Sting said.
Rogue glared at his partner for insulting his idol but not before said idol came to.
"I sure as hell can dance." To prove his point, Gajeel grabbed and random girl and twirled her but not before displaying his poor dancing skills.
The jeers were about to continue but the doors burst open to reveal Jet and a girl.
Jaws dropped as he walked in, all swagger.
"This my dear friends, is Michelle."
"Quick, someone get the truth serum!" Mirajane shouted.
The girl was forced to go through a series of questions with the final being, "why did you come with Jet?"
The girl blushed before saying, "well I thought he was kinda cute and dorky and I know it's weird but I love dorky guys."
The guilds were stunned in silence that a girl actual liked Jet and they were forced to give his reward.
"Well actually," he said, "I don't want it anymore. I'd rather go on a date with you Michelle."
She blushed again before handing her hand out to him.
"If ya'll don't mind, I'll be off!" Jet proclaimed at the shocked guilds.
Later the next day Levy requested to see her father as she had missed him in her time.
Gajeel allowed it, giving Levy a mirror to check up on the castle and her father or her journey.
She reached her house and her father's face lit up upon seeing his lost daughter.
They talked and laughed the whole day, Levy telling him all her experiences and joys of 'her' dragon man.
As their giggles subsided, Makarov peered up at her with a small smile. "You love him don't you?" he asked softly.
"What?! No, I-, was I that obvious?"
"No, but I can see the way you glow when talking about him," Makraov said. Just then knocks pounded on the door.
Levy ran over and opened it to reveal the town. "Levy?!" they exclaimed.
Jet and Droy stepped forward, "This just proves the old man is crazy. Take him to the insane asylum. Clearly no beast exists if the girl is back."
Under his breath Jet said, "If you marry Droy or me, we will set your father free."
"Wait!" Levy said panicked as the people seized her father, "I can prove the beast is real!" She pulled out the mirror Gajeel gave her and displayed the castle with Gajeel.
When her eyes softened at the sight of him, Jet and Droy concluded they were right about her falling in love.
"No matter that means we must march to this beast and kill him for locking Levy up!" they said, changing plans.
"Wait!" Levy tried to say, but they left, shouting.
Just as the end of the group left, she felt that chill she had felt in her dream. Weird, at the time she had assumed it was Gajeel but she knew he didn't give off such an aura. Neither did Jet or Droy.
Levy quickly follows in pursuit, praying to catch up in time, her mind working at fifty miles an hour. But first, she had someone to visit.
Gajeel sat in his room, feeling empty. Levy would never come back, who would love a monster like him?
He looked at the rose, whose petals were almost gone, one left. This was it, he would look like this forever.
Without Levy, his life truly ran out of purpose. Little did he know, down below his faithful servants were preparing for a battle.
"Blockade the door!" Erza said barking out orders. They were all moving, ready to fight for their home and master.
The battle raged on, with Jet running in to fight Gajeel.
Upon finding him, Gajeel didn't fight back much.
He didn't care, it was still a win.
But that was before a voice pierced the chaos. "Gajeel!" Levy screamed. Suddenly Gajeel's head snapped up and the real fight began. He easily overpowered Jet and Jet knew it was over. "Eh, I bet I could find another girl," he said shrugging.
Soon the town backed off upon Levy explaining the situation. Gajeel ran down and hugged Levy with all his might. "I'm so glad you're back Shrimp," he whispered.
"It's not over yet," she whispered back.
"Now, where is Jose Phantom?" she asked.
He stepped forward, a greasy man with slicked back hair and a sinister smile. "Yes, Levy," he said mockingly, with a silly bow.
"You were responsible for all this, were you not?" she asked, drawing a gasp from the town.
"Why Levy, I have no clue what you are talking about!" he said.
"You see, before I came here, I visited a dear friend. Lucy Heartfillia used to visit this castle frequently, but her visits stopped two years ago. Jet and Droy were great friends, not interested in me at all, until two years ago. They were influenced by magic cast by none other than you. Lucy remembers you coming in her store and saying something weird and after that, never being able to find the path to this castle again. Ten years ago a spell was cast. I checked in the library records. You arrived ten years ago."
Yup, that scary feeling was there.
"Now that's a very cute tale and all, but why would I want to curse these lovely people dear girl?"
"Power. You figured once Gajeel was forced to be a beast, then he would be shunned. You could step in and take the power as lord of the towns. Sadly for you, the only spell you could find a ten year prerequisite, in which it had to be ten years before the spell was permanent. And I'm just guessing this, but I assume you made the thing to break it none other than love. You believed no one could love a monster."
She suddenly turned to Gajeel, "To test this, Gajeel Redfox, I love you!" She pulled him to her and kissed him hard.
His eyes widened before sinking into the kiss. Light began to surround the manor, as the blanket of darkness started to disappear. People appeared in place of the things and animals.
Jose's eyes narrowed. "There is one thing you failed to account for little girl," he spat, "I always have a plan B. And unlucky for you, you're gonna wish your boyfriend stayed a beast. His scales were good armor."
Jose transformed into a hideous creature, grotesque and flying. He began to attack Gajeel, and the townspeople were slipped under a trance of some sort, and began attacking the newly transformed servants.
Gajeel began to struggle to fight, not used to the transformed body nor having magic to defend himself.
Levy began to despair until she heard a familiar voice.
"Levy, duck!" Makarov shouted, throwing something overhead.
She dove down to see the automatic wood chopper hit Jose, full force. Jose's wings were crippled by the axes and he plummeted to his death due to him flying over a ravine.
Gajeel collapsed to the ground and Levy ran over to him.
"Gajeel! Gajeel! Answer me!" Gajeel no longer looked so dragon-like, human features replacing the dragon ones. Now he looked like the boy in the portrait, but an older version.
"Ugh, Shrimp, you're so loud," he moaned.
"Of course I am idiot, I'm concerned!"
"Well if it makes you feel any better I love you too."
"Rest up dragon-man."
"I will Shrimp."
And the pair found themselves surround by human arms, hugging, happy to see their friends as humans once again.
"Pst, pay up Erza."
"Damn it, I thought for sure it would take longer Mira."
"Hehe, the matchmaking never lies. And don't worry, a whole new bet is coming up with our salamander and a bookstore owner…"
"Dang that was really good!" Yukino said. "I thought it was adorable," Mira sighed.
"I thought it was sappy." "No one cares what you think Natsu!" Lucy growled.
"But on the other hand, Levy has a permanent blush on her face," Lucy giggled, pointing to her best friend.
"Not fair Lu-chan!" Levy cried.
"All I want to know is who the fuck wrote this," Gajeel growled, hating being the center of attention for a love matter.
"I shall never tell!" Mira shouted.
And just as a second wave of responses came flooding in, another aww went through the guilds.
I hope you enjoyed!
