Chapter 1: A Normal Morning
After the monsters were freed from the Underground, they began recreating their previous civilization. Chara's soul, which was previously attached to Frisk, to give her Determination, had been extracted and placed in a sealed container. Now all the children's souls were safe in the locked basement of Toriel's home. But a new threat was emerging. 10 human souls that died in the war agreed that revenge is required. No one but the 10 human souls know of the plan, except you. But even you know little of it. Will it succeed? Only time will tell.
Frisk woke up and rubbed her eyes. She glanced around the room. In the corner was her Temmie, sleeping with a half-finished box of Tem Flakes. On her wall was a collectible spear that she kept from her training with Undyne. And in her closet was her daily attire: a blue and pink striped sweater, blue shorts, brown boots, and a golden locket. Frisk hopped out of bed and walked over to her closet. She slipped off her tee-shirt and shorts that she wore to bed and put on her outfit. She then grabbed the hairbrush that was sitting on her bedside table and quickly brushed her hair. She then walked out of her room and over to the kitchen.
"Good morning Frisk!", said Toriel. "I've made you some cinnamon-butterscotch waffles. Enjoy!"
"Why does everything that we eat have to be cinnamon-butterscotch?", asked Frisk.
"Well, personally, I'm partial to snail flavor, but you prefer cinnamon-butterscotch and I always try to please my children," replied Toriel.
"Speaking of your children...", Flowey remarked, as he sat in his pot on the window sill.
"Yes, yes, Asriel, I know. But it's hard for a flower to eat much more than water and light! You'd be in pain if you tried to eat my pie," Toriel stated.
"It's Flowey, not Asriel!", Flowey yelled.
"Okay, 'Flowey', I get your point. You're angry enough, I'm not going to try to anger you more.", Toriel replied.
"Thank you," Flowey snarled.
"Anyway, mom, I didn't mean I disliked cinnamon-butterscotch, it's delicious! But variety is the spice of life," Frisk replied.
"Okay, I understand," Toriel said. As she glanced at the time, realization struck her. "Frisk! It's 7:30am, we need to go to the school!" Temmie than walked in with her Tem Flakes.
"school?", Temmie asked.
"I'm sorry, Temmie, but you can't come to school. But… I heard that the Tem Shop is having a sale on Tem Flakes! We can go tonight!", Frisk explained.
"tem flakes? temmie luv tem flakes!", Temmie said as she ran through the kitchen. Frisk smiled as she watched Temmie.
"Frisk, go grab your books, we need to go!", Toriel yelled to Frisk.
"Okay!", Frisk said as she ran out of the room. Frisk then walked into the library and grabbed her books and her backpack. She then ran upstairs to leave. Right before she left, she asked Flowey, for the likely 200th time, "Would you like to come to school with mom and I? You might like it!" But again, for the likely 200th time, Flowey replied with,
"No way. I'll just be made fun of. And you know what happens when I'm mad." Frisk shrugged and replied,
"Okay. I won't force you. Have a nice day and please don't kill Temmie." Frisk then left the house with Toriel and walked to school.
