Author's note

What would a Romeo and Juliet themed story be without a balcony and sex, right? It is rated M so you probably already knew it would. For those who don't like lemons I will mark the beginning and the end of the lemon so you can skip it without missing much. Also, I don't have a lemon just so I can have a lemon in my story, there is a reason for it. It will come up again in the story, in a BIG way. Also it's something Shakespeare used in many of his plays to keep groundlings (the poor) entertained. By the way, this is my first lemon.

Also, thank you guys soooo much for being patient. I've read hundreds of reviews on Fanfiction and I've never seen any author with such a patient audience so thank you.

Chapter 11

Rose Palace

Knuckles and Tails followed closely behind Sonic who was running through the garden as guests left the ballroom. "Sonic, this is a really bad idea, the worst you've ever had!" Knuckles yelled, falling to the ground with the other two, hiding behind a bush from some of the guards. After the guards passed Knuckles turned back to Sonic, "Let's turn around now and pretend this never happened." Sonic ignored him and searched the windows for a glimpse of Amy.

Knuckles waved his hand in front of Sonic's face but he ignored him. Knuckles groaned and hit his forehead. Suddenly Sonic saw a light turn on in what looked to be a very large room and then Amy walk by the window in a nightgown and her hair in a long braid. Sonic took a quick look around to make sure there weren't any guards and ran up to the palace and looked up to see Amy walking out onto a balcony. Knuckles and Tails tried to call him back over but Sonic didn't listen and started to climb up a vine leading to the balcony.

"He's going to be the death of us." Knuckles said in annoyance.

Tails looked around for any guards and then looked over at a nearby servants' entrance. "I think I have an idea. We can sneak in and get Cream and Rouge to give us some guard uniforms and then we can make sure no one else sees Sonic." Knuckles nodded in agreement and then the two ran into the servants' entrance and hunt down Rouge and Cream who were near their rooms.

Peeking around the corner Tails made sure no one was around before calling the two over. "Pst, Cream." Tails whispered.

Cream looked over at Tails wide eyed along with Rouge who stomped up to the two and shoved both of them against the wall. "What are you two doing here?" she whispered angrily. "And where's Sonic?"

Knuckles and Tails looked at each other nervously before Tails turned to Rouge. "Well, it's a funny story that I'm sure we will laugh about years from now." Rouge's glare deepened and even Cream was tapping her foot impatiently with her arms crossed over her chest. "Sonic is climbing up to Amy's room to confess his love to her." Tails said so fast his words almost slurred together.

Rouge took a deep breath. "Okay, I'm not going to freak out. I'm just…going to KILL YOU!" Rouge yelled and started to strangle Knuckles. Cream and Tails pulled her away and held her back. "How could you let him do that!?"

"It's not like he listens to me!" Knuckles whispered back angrily.

"Rouge," Tails said gently, still holding Rouge back with Cream. "I have a plan to make sure none of us are caught. But you're going to need to get us some guards' uniforms."

Rouge sighed in annoyance and pulled away. "Fine," She pulled both of them and put them in her room. "Wait here and we'll be right back."

Back outside Sonic was nearing the balcony and was about to pull himself up on to the balcony when he heard Amy's voice. "I hope Sonic made it home okay." Amy said looking out to the city and further on to Mobius. Amy sighed as she thought about how they almost kissed in the rose garden but shook away the thought. "Stop that, he was not going to kiss you. He does not see you that way." She told herself. "It was just you hoping that's what he felt."

Sonic listened from under the balcony and in a panic yelled up to her. "That's not true!"

Amy looked around the balcony but didn't see Sonic. From below she could hear the rustling of leaves coming from the vine. Peering over the balcony Amy saw Sonic climbing up to her. Amy was stunned. "What the hell are you doing?" She whispered, looking between him and her room to make sure no one was coming in. Sonic didn't answer as he pulled himself onto the rail of the balcony, his face now only an inch away from Amy. Amy ignored the distance and pulled him onto the balcony. "Are you insane?"

"Just a little." Amy smiled and hugged him. He was a little shocked but he returned her hug.

"Why are you still here? I thought you had to hurry home." Amy said pulling back, much to Sonic's displeasure.

"I had something I needed to tell you before I did." Sonic said now standing only an inch away from her. Amy nodded, urging him to go on. Sonic took a deep breath and looked into Amy eyes. "Okay here it goes." He took one more deep breath and closed his eyes to compose himself. "Amy, you are beautiful, free spirited, kind, and funny. You always have a way of looking at something from the bright side and whenever I'm just near you I'm 100 times happier. You're everything I've ever wanted in a woman and… I love you Amy." Amy stared at him wide eyed, tears threatening to spill.

Sonic sighed, "And now that I have made a complete ass of myself I will leave you alone." Sonic turned and slowly started to put one leg over the rail. But before he could get the other over he felt Amy grab his shoulder and pull him towards her, slamming her lips into his. Sonic eyes shot open but a second and froze before kissing Amy back. After a minute Amy pulled away a little breathless and smiled. "I love you too."

Sonic smiled and kissed Amy again with all the passion and love he could, placing one hand on the back of her head and the other tightly around her waist.

After bringing the boys uniforms they all went upstairs to Amy's room. "When I find Sonic, I'm going to kill him." Rouge said as she stomped ahead of the rest.

"You and me both," said Knuckles. Once they were in front of the door Rouge turned to the other three.

"Okay, I'll go in, get Sonic, and you two take him out however you came in." Rouge was about to knock on the door when Knuckles grabbed her wrist and stared at the door in shock. "What?" Rouge asked yanking her wrist away. Knuckles put a finger to his lips hushing her and she listened and heard a light moan on the other side of the door. Rouge's eyes are twice there size when she realized what was happening on the other side of that door.

"What?" Tails asked. Rouge and Knuckles turned back to the other two awkwardly.

"I think Sonic and Amy may be having…sex." Rouge said avoiding their eyes, saying 'sex' with a small gag. Cream and Tails looked at her shocked and then felt as awkward as she did.

"Now what?" asked Cream.

Rouge thought for a moment before turning to Knuckles. "Okay new plan. Knuckles and I will guard Amy's door and you two guard the other end of the hall and make sure no one comes by to see Amy. If they ask, say she's ill." Cream and Tails nodded and went to their post. Knuckles and Rouge looked at each other when they heard a bed squeak. They both flinched and turned away from each other. "This is going to be a loooooong night."

On the balcony Amy let out a light moan as Sonic trailed a few kisses down her neck. Fuelled by her moans Sonic pushed Amy against the door way of her room and the balcony and tightened his grip on her waist and slowly moved his hands up higher and higher. When his hands hovered over her bust he came back to his senses and pulled away. Panting, he rested his forehead against Amy's. "Why did you stop?" she asked breathlessly.

After catching his breath Sonic answered, "I don't want to lose myself. If I keep going, I won't be able to hold back." He started to pull away but Amy pulled him back and started nibbling gently on his neck earning a soft moan.

"Who says I want you to hold back." She whispered into his ear.

With her consent Sonic picked Amy up bridal style, brought her into the room and laid her down on the bed and got on top of her. Amy smiled and pulled him down into a lip lock.

As Sonic and Amy had a tongue war Sonic's hands gently squeezed Amy's right breast, making her let out a muffled squeal. As he kissed her he slowly pulls her nightgown up to reveal her thighs and gently rubbed the insides of her thighs.

Moving his hand behind her back he slowly unzipped the back of her nightgown. Once the zipper was down Amy sat up and slowly let the top of the nightgown fall to reveal her bare breasts. Sonic's heart skipped a beat and he gently caressed them, earning another moan. Sonic gently kissed down her neck and then latched onto Amy's left breast. After a minute of sucking Sonic moved the night gown down and kissed her stomach. Pulling the nightgown off Sonic soaked in Amy's body, the only thing keeping her from being completely naked was her panties.

Amy blushed under his stare. "It's not fair if I'm the only one like this."

Sonic smiled and nodded. He started to unbutton the coat when Amy stopped him and did it herself. After throwing the coat to the side she pulled off his white shirt. Once it was off Amy stared at his toned chest and placed a gentle kiss on all six of his abs. Sonic sighed happily and pulled her face back to his and kissed her. As they kissed Amy pulled down his pants as Sonic kicked off his boots. Once Sonic was as bare as she was he laid her back down on the bed and hovered over her.

As he kissed her lips he slowly moved one hand down her body and gently rubbed her womanhood. Amy pulled away and gasped at the unfamiliar feeling. Sonic's hand traced the rim of her panties and looked to her for permission. She nodded and pulled them down. After taking them off Sonic kissed down Amy's stomach and gently kissed her womanhood, earning another gasp.

Already wet, Amy moaned as Sonic slowly licked her insides. She gently ran her hand through his quills as he did so. "Sonic," she moaned. With the sound of her sweet moans Sonic lost it. Sonic got the message but he hesitated and looked into her eyes nervously.

"Are you sure?" He asked as he caressed her blushing cheek. "W-We can stop now if you're uncomfortable. I can wait."

Amy giggled and wrapped her arms around his neck. "Well," she said rasped as she rubbed her sex against his own, earning a gasp from him. "Something tells me that that's not entirely true."

Sonic let out a scoff and rested his head on Amy's chest for a moment to regain his composure. "For you, I could wait a hundred years." With that one gesture Amy's sweet smile became a full out grin as she kissed him with every ounce of love that she didn't even know she was holding back. Sonic was a little thrown at first but kissed her back with just as much passion.

When they pulled apart Amy caressed his cheek and looked into his eyes with a serious expression. "I don't want you to stop." She kissed him one more time before laying limp beneath him and a shy smile. "Take me."

Sonic's nerves vanished and he trailed light kisses down her neck as he slowly entered her. With each inch Amy winced and closed her eyes tightly. Once he was fulling in he gave Amy a moment to get comfortable. She took a deep breath and opened her eyes. Sonic smiled playfully "Still don't want me to stop?" he said smugly before kissing her cheek. Amy bit her lower lip and shook her head. Sonic nodded and began to slowly thrust into her. It took a little bit but she eventually got used to it and her pain and discomfort turned to pleasure.

Amy tightened her legs around Sonic's waist and wrapped her arms around his neck. "Faster," She whispered breathlessly into his ear. Sonic complied and sped up. With each thrust Amy's moans got louder and louder. Sonic was beginning to near his end after about an hour.

"Amy," he grunted as he felt her tighten around him. Amy tightened her grip around Sonic's neck as she moaned his name and came. Shortly after her Sonic thrust into her one more time and released himself inside. He collapsed on top of her as they both tried to catch their breath. Sonic smiled and nuzzled into Amy's neck.

Sonic and Amy lay motionless for a bit before Sonic suddenly stood up. Amy sat up in confusion holding a blanket around her. Sonic sat on the edge of the bed and put on his under-trousers. Amy crawled up behind him and wrapped her arms around him and laid her head on his back. "What are you doing?" she asked.

Sonic sighed and leaned his head back on hers. "I don't want to but I should probably leave before I get caught. Sonic tried to get up to put on his shirt but Amy held him down.

"Don't, no one will be here till morning. We can just get up early. Please stay with me." Sonic gave her a warm smile before turning and pouncing on her, causing both to fall back onto the bed. The both laughed before just resting beside each other. Amy slowly traced circles on his chest before looking into Sonic's eyes. "I love you…more than anything."

Sonic grinned and kissed Amy's forehead. "I love you more." Amy giggled and laid her head against his strong chest, listening to his heart beat as it lulled her to sleep.

In the hallway Knuckles and Rouge sat on opposite ends of the door and tried to avoid looking at each other. Every few minutes they heard a bed squeak and a couple times they heard one of the hedgehogs moan. At one point they heard Sonic grunt Amy's name and Rouge's face turned as red as Knuckles'. After a few minutes they heard Amy and Sonic let out a loud moan like scream. Rouge and Knuckles' eyes widened to the size of a frying pan until everything went silent.

After everything was quiet for a while Knuckles risked a glance at Rouge. She leaned against the wall, trying to hide her reddened cheeks and trying to focus on anything that wasn't Knuckles. Knuckles sighed and inched a little closer to Rouge. "You know…" He said, stretching out every vowel to post pone the conversation. "Now that Sonic and Amy seem to be…together, we're going to have to try and get along." Rouge still didn't face him but her shoulders had relaxed and her blush had started to dissipate. "We could start by trying to get to know each other." He suggested. Rouge gave a stiff nod as she moved some of her hair out of her face and slid down to sit on the floor.

Slowly, Knuckles moved closer and sat down on floor next to her. Since she didn't say anything he took it upon himself to break the ice. "Well, I guess I can start by saying that I am Sonic's body guard and trainer. I am very loyal to him, not as a subordinate but because I'm his friend. I've never seen any of the royal family as my employer but as a second family. And finally, I know that I'm a bit of a hard head and can get angry easily."

Rouge let out a soft giggle she had been holding in for a bit. "I could have told you that last one."

Knuckles, surprisingly, didn't get mad. Instead he gave her a playful glare and gently shoved her. "Alright wise-ass, your turn; what don't I know about you?"

Rouge calmed herself and thought about what she could say. "Obviously, I am gorgeous." She said confidently as Knuckles rolled his eyes. "I'm Amy's lady in waiting and her friend. I've been raised around nobles my entire life but I'm not one. And though I like to feel like one, I'm really from a very poor family from the outer rim of the kingdom."

Knuckles looked at her curiously. "You're a peasant?"

"Technically,"

Awkward silence settled in again for a moment as Rouge squirmed uncomfortably. Knuckles flashed her a warm smile. "You might technically be a peasant but you are definitely beautiful enough to be royalty." Rouge's blush came back in full force as she stared at him in awe. His smile started to make her feel nervous and she hid her head in her lap. Knuckles gave an amused chuckle and leaned against the wall. It seemed like it would be a long night so he decided to rest his eyes.

At the other end of the hall Cream and Tails stood in silence as they kept watch for any of the guards. They stood in silence, neither wanting to look the other in the eye, for more reasons than one. Every few minutes Tails would glance over at Cream as she hugged herself to keep warm. "Are you cold?" He asked shyly. Cream shrugged and leaned further into the wall, trying to hide herself from him and the awkwardness.

Tails dropped the conversation, too nervous of causing a scene or worse, a more awkward situation. The tension in the air was thick and they both knew they should try to talk about something but neither was brave enough to. Finally, after what felt like hours but was really only a few minutes, Tails decided to try and face the issue head on. "So I guess this means Sonic and Amy are more than just friends. Do you think that means we'll be seeing more of each other?"

"Probably," Cream mumbled.

Tails took a small step towards her. "I didn't get a chance to ask you if you had a good time at the festival. Did you?"

A light blush appeared on Cream's cheeks. "Yes, I had a very nice time." Cream gave him a small smile.

Tails began to loosen up and moved a little closer. Slowly he inched closer till he was standing right next to her, their shoulders touching. He felt Cream stiffen a little and her face turned red. "Are you still cold?" He asked with a small smirk.

She turned to him with an embarrassed smile. "Not anymore."

Sorry, bit of an abrupt ending but I felt it was time to just be done with this chapter and finally post it so, I hope you enjoyed.
