Looney Tunes Reality Check: Total Warners Island

Season 1, Episode 4: "A Date with Dodgeball"

(narrated by Bugs Bunny, recapping events from the previous episode)

"Previously on Total Warners Island, the contestants were forced to endure an all-out Awake-a-Thon. While some managed to stay awake amongst the intense conditions, what with Rummy relying on rather inane tactics to get the contestants to fall asleep faster, others succumbed to the intense after-effects of sleep deprivation. At one point, it was revealed that Zim was an actual alien due to the revelation that he cheated during the Awake-a-Thon.

Meanwhile, Trina and Nefera both teamed up to create the first Total Warners alliance by recruiting Cleo, Mandy and Stella to join forces with them—well, actually, it's moreso that Trina and Stella forced the aforementioned trio to join their alliance by blackmailing them, though I have a feeling Mandy could care less either. Anyway, in the end, when it was all said and done, Daggett and Huey both managed to beat Babs to earn the Screwballs their second win of the season. In the end, the Zooming Road Runners unanimously voted for Zim to walk the Dock of Shame because they felt the Irken alien could become a casualty for them in the later challenges.

Who will break the rules of their new alliance, will Babs be able to stay awake by the end of this episode and what jam-packed challenge will the contestants have to endure? Stay tuned to find out what lays ahead for our contestants on this week's sports-themed installment of Total ... Warners ... Island!"

Chapter 04 (Episode 4, Week 3)Season 1: A Date with Dodgeball

In the week following the intensity of the Ultimate Awake-a-Thon, the contestants tried their best to get things back to normal, but the after effects of the Ultimate Awake-a-Thon seemed to have a bigger impact on some contestants more than others. While some, including Daggett, Makoto and Numbah 5, were still up and alert, not experiencing any changes in their biological clocks, others, such as Mordecai and Usagi, were feeling exhausted after all that had occurred during the Ultimate Awake-a-Thon. While most of the contestants were eating their breakfast, Huey was literally sleeping on the Looney Screwballs' side.

Bugs took notice of the older Freeman brother sleeping away, so he decided to walk up to him and say, "Eh, Huey? I'm kinda surprised to see you sleeping like this, even though you and Daggett had already won the Ultimate Awake-a-Thon last week."

Huey laid his head up and tiredly said, "Yeah, Bugs, I know. I just don't get it."

Setsuna turned to Bugs and said, "Actually, Bugs, I think the effects of the Ultimate Awake-a-Thon affected Huey more than any of us realized."

Bugs could only raise an eyebrow in response as he said, "Eh ... what exactly do you mean by that, Setsuna?"

"What I mean is ... Huey is one of the few contestants who is younger than most of us on here, so he requires more sleep than any of us older contestants," Setsuna explained. "Honestly, he was doing well in the initial days after the Ultimate Awake-a-Thon, but ... I guess the after-effects just hit him like a ton of bricks afterwards."

"Gotcha," Bugs said as he took a bite from his carrot. "I guess the lack of food could also be another factor."

"Well, as brutal as the Ultimate Awake-a-Thon was, I'm glad we finally got it over with," Finn said as he yawned for a bit.

"Indeed, I just wonder what the next challenge is going to be," Alex said.

"Maybe it's going to be a challenge of the 'Brain Game' variety," Double D said with a smile, sighing at the possibility of a game show challenge.

However, most of the other contestants, aside from Ami M., Setsuna and Sam, didn't share the same joy as Daggett said, "Eh, where's the fun in a game show challenge, Double D? I'm thinking it's going to be more of a movie-themed challenge! Maybe it could be set up as one of those '70s 'Soul Brotha' movies! Something better than one of those spooty game shows ..."

(Confessional Cam: How does Daggett know about the '70s 'Soul Brotha' era?)

Grim: "I seriously do not know why Daggett cares so much about '70s-era movies nor do I know how he knows so much about them. All I know is ... it just feels so weird."

Moments later, Babs had walked into the mess hall, feeling half like her normal self and half like she had been run over by a truck. However, the pink rabbit was feeling stable over all, at least compared to Huey. As she made her way to the Zooming Road Runners' table, she sat down near Usagi and Eddy as she overheard Nefera and Trina speaking to their new alliance.

"Alright, so let's go over the alliance rules one more time," Nefera said to her alliance while Trina stood by her side. "Number one: Trina and I are the captains of this alliance, so we get to make the rules. Number two—"

"Breaking the rules can result in one of you girls getting kicked out of our alliance," Trina said with a devious smile as Nefera nodded her head.

"Right," Nefera said as she smirked at Trina. "Number three: we can touch your things without requiring your permission, but our stuff is strictly off-limits. Are there any questions?"

Once Nefera made this declaration about the skewed respect of one's belongings, the other members of the alliance looked rather uncomfortable and felt very uneasy—though, in Mandy's case, she could only roll her eyes in annoyance, but she very easily understood Cleo and Stella's concerns—about the third rule Nefera had laid down. Cleo just cleared her throat as she said to her older sister, "Uh, Nefera? Were you being serious about that third rule?"

"Yeah ... why? What makes you think you can question me about how I lay down the rules for our alliance?" Nefera said in an indignant tone while sporting a devious smile.

Cleo recoiled a bit as she just stared down her sister and said, "Listen, I just think that it's such a double standard that you and Trina feel that you have the rights to touch our stuff, but act so offended when any of us take the liberty to touch your belongings."

Before Nefera could respond with a smart-aleck comment, Trina stepped in between Cleo and Nefera, sporting a small, devious smile as she said, "Oh, don't worry, Cleo, Nefera and I could just go ahead and find three other contestants to take to the Final 5 with us."

"Oh, yeah! Not to mention, I'm sure that our teammates would like to know that you three were the ones who actually rigged the voting to get Billy kicked off the island," Nefera said in a smug tone while smiling deviously at Cleo, Mandy and Stella. "I suppose you girls don't want that on your consciousness, huh?"

Nefera's declaration just caused the other members of the girls' alliance to shake their heads in fear as Nefera just smiled and said, "Good, so now we're all on the same page."

(Confessional Cam: The place that knows your pain dealing with the Alpha ... Chicks)

Mandy: "Sheesh, Nefera and Trina sure do know a thing or two about manipulating people into doing whatever they please ... sounds like they're two girls after my own heart."

Moments later, Bugs looked at his watch, then he walked towards the door of the mess hall and turned to look at both the Zooming Road Runners and the Looney Screwballs as he said with a smile, "Hey, docs and doctresses! I hope you guys had gotten some well-needed rest after the brutal Ultimate Awake-a-Thon! You guys and girls are going to need all of your energy to really bring it for the next challenge!"

(Confessional Cam: Another brutal challenge or a game of fun? You make the call)

Brandy: "Ugh ... this is so bizarre ... we couldn't even get a good wink of sleep after the non-stop no sleeping marathon we had last week, but we already have to bring it for the next challenge this week! Well, I guess I should be grateful that I did get some beauty sleep for the past few nights ..."

Riley: "All I gotta say is that the challenge we had last week was brutal as hell, so I'm personally hoping that the challenge we have this week is going to be something fun for once. I'm really hoping that we get to play an all-star basketball game this week! I really want to show off my superfly skills to my teammates!"

After the contestants had finished eating their breakfast in the mess hall, they all had walked into a clear plastic room that consisted of a hardwood floor, two sets of bleachers, a referee's spot and team banners representing the Zooming Road Runners and the Looney Screwballs. Huey was the last one to enter the gymnasium, slowly but surely getting back to his normal self, though he was still yawning and rubbing his eyes a little bit. Nefera could only notice how Huey was feeling as she said in a cynical tone, "Ugh, how are you so tired all of a sudden? You won the Ultimate Awake-a-Thon for your pathetic team, but you're now having trouble staying awake ... even though said Awake-a-Thon was last week's challenge?"

Huey could only roll his eyes in annoyance as he said, "Don't start with me today, Nefera, I think I should be more focused on how to keep myself out of elimination's reach, seeing as how you and Trina have become Public Enemies #1 and #2 on your own team."

As Huey caught up with his teammates, Nefera just scowled and sneered, "I can't stand cynical individuals like him ..."

As Gin Rummy, who was wearing a referee's outfit, blew a whistle from the referee's spot, he then walked up at the center of the dodgeball court next to Bugs and a pile of red balls, much to Double D and Courage's respective fear and displeasure. Bugs then walked up in front of the contestants and held up a red ball, saying, "This week's challenge is the classic game of ... dodgeball."

As Bugs picked up a red ball and spun it around on his finger as if it was a basketball, Double D jumped up in shock and screamed as he dove behind Makoto and said, "No! Not dodgeball! Please don't let me play this accursed game consisting of violence, knockouts and humiliating attacks from down below! Please tell me you are joking about this stuff today, Bugs!"

While Double D was shivering and shaking in fear behind Makoto, his fellow Screwballs teammates and the Zooming Road Runners were looking confused at the smart guy of the Eds, Ed and Eddy just stared at their friend in concern as Ed whispered to Eddy, "Is Double D going through another anxiety attack right now, Eddy?"

Eddy then rushed up to Double D and said, "Double D, what's up with you?"

Double D proceeded to grab Eddy by his shirt collar and said, "Please, Eddy, don't make me go out there and play this murderous game of death!"

"Murderous? How does he know about—" Gin Rummy began to say before he was interrupted by Bugs.

"Don't start anything, Gin Rummy," Bugs said.

While everyone was trying to make sense of why Double D was suddenly acting so irrational about a dodgeball game being their next challenge, Eddy could only chuckle nervously for a bit until he cleared his throat and said, "Alright, let me go ahead and add some context to this. See, one day during gym class, the guys and I were playing a regular game of dodgeball—"

"We were also throwing rubber chickens at each other, Eddy!" Ed said with a blank smile, inciting Eddy to pull out an actual rubber chicken from out of the blue and hit his friend upside the head with it.

Eddy then threw the rubber chicken at Ed and said, "Go ahead and play with that chicken, Ed."

"CHICKEN!" Ed said with glee as he hugged the rubber chicken, much to the confusion and amusement of the other contestants.

(Confessional Cam: What's the big deal with Ed and those chickens, though?)

Gin Rummy: "That kid worries me sometimes. I seriously question what goes through his mind most of the time."

"Anyway ... we were playing a regular game of dodgeball during gym class and things seemed to go pretty smoothly," Eddy continued explaining. "That is, until we got to the final round. By the final round, everyone on Double D's side was already knocked down to the ground, so when the other team decided to make him a popular target again ... well, all I can really say is that it wasn't a pretty sight."

"It also explains why he tends to have a major breakdown whenever he sees anyone bringing up dodgeball—heck, even Eddy caused him to flip out when we had to hang out with Jimmy one day," Ed said.

Eddy could only palm his face in embarrassment as he said through gritted teeth, "I was only trying to liven things up at the time, Ed. Besides, we're only kids!"

"But, Eddy, aren't we still considered to be kids on this show?" Ed asked in a confused tone.

Double D finally snapped out of his breakdown and cleared his throat as he said, "Well, technically, Ed, we are actually considered to be young adults and—"

"How did you manage to get back to normal so fast, Double D?" Eddy asked in a surprised tone.

(Confessional Cam: In this room, you know that your favorite cartoon characters are not so different from each other)

Courage: "I can definitely understand Double D's pain in regards to the dodgeball phenomenon. I don't exactly have a phobia of dodgeball, but I did have a bad experience when it came down to the actual sport ... since most of my old enemies were recruited by Eustace and decided to use a game of dodgeball as a reason to nearly kill me ..."

While Double D was trying his best to put up a tough front, even though he was still rather nervous about the upcoming dodgeball challenge, Bugs started to explain the rules of the challenge, saying, "Alright, the first rule of dodgeball is—"

"You don't talk about dodgeball?" Norbert said in a half-playful, half-sarcastic tone, inciting light laugher and giggling from the contestants.

"Anyway, the first rule of dodgeball is: if you get hit with the ball," Bugs said as he continued to spin the ball around in his hands, then he threw it at Stella as he said, "You're out."

"Whoa!" Stella said as she quickly ducked out of the ball's direction, then caught the ball once it hit the other end of the gymnasium. "Whew, that was close ..."

"Now, as for the second rule, if you catch the ball, the person who threw the ball gets sent out and the catcher of the ball gets to bring in another team member out on the court ..." Bugs said as he passed the ball to Virgil, then he was given a replacement ball by one of the interns.

"The third rule of dodgeball is: if you're holding a ball, you can use it to deflect a ball thrown by one of the players from the opposing team, but ..." Bugs explained, then he purposely dropped the ball in his hands as he said, "If it knocks the ball out of your hands, you're automatically out."

Trina smirked deviously at Stella, then she turned to Bugs and said, "Oh, Bugs ... could you remind us what we're supposed to do when the ball comes flying straight at us?"

Virgil finally threw the ball at Bugs, then the rabbit managed to quickly deflect it with a third ball as he said, "You dodge the ball!"

As the dodgeball was speeding towards the girls, Trina tried to put Stella in its path, but Stella managed to step to the side and cause the ball to hit Trina in her chest. Stella winced in response as she said, "Trina, you were supposed to dodge!"

"Oh, shut up, Stella," Trina muttered under her breath as she moaned in pain. "How did you know I was trying to get you hit?"

"Oh, I don't know ... girl's intuition?" Stella said in an innocent tone with an subtly-innocent smile while rolling her eyes.

"Oh, come on, Trina! Don't act like a victim just because you were trying to humiliate Stella for your personal gain!" Cindy said while smirking deviously at Trina.

Cindy then walked away from Trina and Stella, then Trina could only growl at Stella as she said, "Stella, I can't believe you would take the initiative to humiliate me like that! Did you forget about the rules we set up in our alliance earlier today?!"

"Uh, hello, earth to Trina! Neither you nor Nefera made a rule about not humiliating either of you in front of our teammates," Stella said as she giggled for a bit.

Trina could only growl at the fashionista fairy lightly as she muttered to herself in a dark tone, "Oh, you'll be laughing right now, my little Stella, but one false move and I'll make sure your fairy butt is out of this alliance once and for all!"

While Trina was contemplating on whether or not she should give Stella her death wish (figuratively at least, not literally), Bugs and Gin Rummy looked at the contestants, then Bugs pointed at his watch and said, "Alright, ladies and gentlemen, both teams have one minute until game time, so Screwballs and Road Runners, you guys will have to choose seven players to come out on the court for the first round."

On the Zooming Road Runners' side, the Road Runners were all gathered into a huddle as Buster said, "Alright, Road Runnners, we're already two challenges behind of the Looney Screwballs, so we really gotta bring our A-game for this one! Seeing as how I'm—supposedly—the team captain, I'll go out for the first round. Who else wants to come in?"

"Ooh, ooh, pick me, Buster!" Ed said as he hopped up and down excitedly. "My dodgeball-throwing skills can pack a mean punch!"

"Ed, since when were you known for being skilled at dodgeball?" Eddy said in an amazed tone while raising an eyebrow in interest.

"I learned from the best, Eddy," Ed said with a smile.

Eddy just smirked in response as he said in a proud and overconfident tone, "You tell 'em, Monobrow! Go ahead and tell 'em what the man with the plan taught you in this game we call life!"

However, Ed just stared at his friend in confusion as he said, "I was actually talking about Kevin and Rolf, Eddy."

Once Ed's comment finally hit him, Eddy just turned down his overconfident bravado as he chuckled nervously and blushed in embarrassment while saying, "Heh-heh, yeah, Kevin and Rolf ... uh ... right ..."

The girls could only giggle in response in Eddy's bravado being deflated through one simple comment as Buster said, "Alright, Ed, I'll let you play in the first round. Any other volunteers?"

Stella then raised her hand excitedly as she said, "Hey, Buster, pick me, I've got your back for this one!"

As both teams continued choosing their players to go in for the first round, Gin Rummy blew his whistle as he said, "Alright, Screwballs and Road Runners, send your starting players out on the court right now, so they can play the first round of this dodgeball challenge!"

At Gin Rummy's beck and call, both teams went ahead and put forth their starting players for the first round: Buster, Ed and Stella were joined by Eddy, Riley, Layla and Yumi for the Zooming Road Runners whereas the Looney Screwballs had put forward Finn, Grim, Jude, Mordecai, Jenny, Courage and Musa.

Road Runners: Buster, Ed, Stella, Eddy, Riley, Layla and Yumi
Screwballs: Finn, Grim, Jude, Mordecai, Jenny, Courage and Musa

As both teams faced each other with competitive looks on their faces, Nefera decided to get an upper advantage on those Screwballs by engaging in some trash-talk, shouting from the team bleachers, "Bring it on, Screwballs! I hope you brought your 'A'-game because you might experience your first loss of the season."

Jude could only roll his eyes and scoff in response as he said with a smirk, "Oh, really? I don't even know why you're trying to talk so much trash, Nefera, because at least we're not one of the main—if not the main—reasons why our team is already two games behind! Apologies to the dudes and dudettes who have to put up with the obnoxious attitudes of both Trina and Nefera, but you have to know that it's the truth!"

The Screwballs and most of the Road Runners all laughed and cheered at Jude's taunt towards Nefera, but Nefera could only scowl at the skater boy while Stella sighed lovingly and said, "Wow, that Jude is so cool when he stands up for his teammates."

"Alright, are both teams ready for the first round?" Bugs announced as both teams were shooting looks towards each other across the court. "Best-of-five series, the first team to win three games wins the challenge! Now, ready ... set ... and let's get ready to dooooodge some balls!"

Once Gin Rummy blew his whistle to signal the start of the challenge, both teams raced towards the dodgeballs as Buster, Ed and Eddy each grabbed a ball for the Road Runners' side whereas Grim and Finn each grabbed a ball for the Screwballs' side.

Buster proceeded to throw his ball at Jude, who managed to dodge it, then picked up the ball as he stared down the blue rabbit. Buster could only smile nervously at the skater dude as Jude began to spin around like a top, allowing him to throw an incredibly fast ball that easily hit Yumi on her head, causing Bugs to wince a bit as he remarked, "Ouch! That one's going to leave a serious mark!"

(Confessional Cam: A connection of close calls clearly ... you figure out the rest ...)

Yumi (holding her head in a light daze): "Sheesh ... that Jude dude can really throw down ... I'm impressed."

Eddy: "You know, I gotta admit ... who knew that Jude had it in him this whole time?"

Courage: "Why do I have a feeling that things are going to go downhill from here?"

"Eds ahoy!" Ed said with a confident smile as he took the ball from Eddy and he charged down the court with the ball in his hand, throwing a fastball that was so hard that it knocked Jude all the way into the wall.

Jude groaned a bit as he held his stomach in pain and said, "Aw, come on, dude!"

Gin Rummy threw blew his whistle as he pointed to Jude, then pointed to the Screwballs' bench, all while everyone on the Road Runners' bench cheered for the strongest one of the Eds—with the glaring exception of Wile E. Coyote, who was busy reading a book about the ways of technological advancement.

Mordecai proceeded to throw a ball at Eddy, but Eddy managed to dodge it with ease as Layla caught the ball and threw it back at Mordecai, quickly taking the bluejay out of the game as she said in a confident tone, "That's how we roll on the Road Runners' side, baby!"

The Road Runners all cheered for Layla as she exchanged high-fives with Eddy, who said with a smile on his face, "Hey, nice hands with the catch right there, Layla!"

"Hey, we couldn't afford to lose another one of our teammates, right?" Layla said with a smile as she playfully nudged Eddy's shoulder, who chuckled warmly in response.

Finn then picked up a ball and threw it at Stella, who quickly dodged it with her fairy-like reflexes, much to the amazement of both the Screwballs and the Road Runners. However, while Stella blew a playful raspberry at Finn, Grim proceeded to throw another ball at Stella, hitting her on the head and taking her at the game. Grim then smiled deviously at Stella as he laughed and said while playfully shaking his fist, "There's more where that came from, Princess!"

While the Screwballs were cheering for Grim, Stella got out of her daze, then looked up and saw Jude waving at her. When she waved back while giggling lightly, Nefera took notice of their interaction, so she proceeded to throw a ball at Jude, hitting him in the face and leaving him in a daze as he said dizzily, "Which way did he go, George? Which way did he go?"

(Confessional Cam: Crushing Confessions ... or a new Power Couple is on the horizon, people!)

Minako: "Alright, everyone, don't spread this around your friends, family or even any of the message boards you may frequent on the internet, but ... I think Jude might be getting a crush on Stella! Romance is everywhere for this first season! *sighs lovingly*"

Riley: "First, there was the supposed 'ship teasing' between Makoto and Double D in the previous two episodes, now there's another possible couple pairing between Jude and Stella? Alright, maybe it's because I'm younger than most of the contestants around here, but I just don't understand this 'love' thing between the older contestants. They know they're going to get sidetracked from winning that sweet money by doing that, right? ... Right?"

Usagi: "I guess it might be due to the fact that I tend to be the resident Cupid of my friends, but I think it's rather adorable that Jude and Stella are starting to grow fond of each other ..."

Eddy: "Why is everyone so on about Jude and Stella possibly becoming a couple—based on what I saw in the previous confessionals—instead of the fact that Ed just had a quick burst of awesome moments in this first round of dodgeball today? Who knew Ed had it in him, huh?"

Stella (blushing with a light smile): "I don't know what the heck just happened earlier, but ... I think I'm in love!"

Jude (blushing while smiling and rubbing his head a little): "Just between you and me, dudes and dudettes, I think I'm starting to develop some feelings for that Stella girl. She actually reminds me of Star ... just a lot more fashionable in certain ways."

After Ed, Eddy, Buster and Stella were taken out on the Road Runners' side and Finn, Grim, Jenny and Courage were taken out in terms of Screwballs players, it had come down to the final two players on both sides for the respective teams: Riley and Layla were still standing for the Road Runners, whereas Mordecai and Musa were still standing for the Screwballs. Mordecai and Musa both targeted Layla and threw their balls at her, thus taking her out of the game, finally leaving Riley as the final member of the Road Runners.

Mordecai and Musa both exchanged devious smirks with each other as they turned to Riley and Mordecai said, "Sorry to do this, little dude, but we're gonna go 3-0 for this challenge this time."

"I hope you have your final in-game wish prepared once we take you out," Musa said as she and Mordecai prepared to throw their balls at Riley.

However, before Mordecai and Musa managed to throw their balls at Riley, the younger Freeman brother decided to give the last two members of the Screwballs a taste of their own medicine as he spun the ball for a bit, then, after he did some calculations in his head, he threw the ball at Mordecai. However, Mordecai managed to dodge Riley's throw with ease, but the ball ended up spinning back towards the bluejay and ended up hitting him in the back of his head.

"Ouch! That's one tough ball to dodge, doc!" Bugs said with a light smile as he winced for a bit while Mordecai walked back to the Screwballs' bench.

Riley then sported an even more devious smile on his face as he glared at Musa, who was smiling and waving nervously. Riley then rubbed the ball repeatedly against his shirt, thus creating static electricity and sending chills down Musa's spine. Riley then smirked deviously at Musa as he spun the static ball around for a bit, then said, "Alright, Musa, here's something that influenced me by watching that famous dodgeball episode of Dexter's Laboratory: let's see if you can handle the unstoppable 'Genius Ball'!"

Riley proceeded to throw the ball directly at Musa, who decided to give chase as the ball followed her all around the court. After several seconds of a cat-and-mouse-style chase, Musa ended up slamming into the back wall of the beach-styled gymnasium ... just as the ball bounced into her from behind, thus giving the Road Runners the win for the first round.

The Road Runners cheered for their first round victory while the other Screwballs could only stare at the result in surprise. Huey could only shake his head at Mordecai and Musa as he said, "In retrospect, it was probably not a good idea to underestimate a character like Riley."

(Confessional Cam: A surprising burst of awesome moments from some rather understated—not to mention, very underrated—characters! Who would've expected that, huh?)

Riley: "What more can I say, though? Some of Huey's savviness and samurai-like endurance must've rubbed off on me in all 4 seasons of our show."

After their embarrassing loss to the Zooming Road Runners in the first round, the Screwballs decided to up the ante for the second round as Courage said, "Come on, guys, if we manage to give it our best try and have the utmost confidence in ourselves, we could come back and win this challenge in full force!"

Jude could only scratch his head as he said, "Well, how are we going to do that so easily, pink dog dude?"

Setsuna turned to look at Huey as she said to herself while sporting a small smirk on her face, "Maybe we should go ahead and bring in our secret weapon for the next round ..."

However, unbeknownst to Setsuna, Minako actually heard what she said as she raised an eyebrow and said, "Huh? Setsuna, did you say something?"

Setsuna then shook her head as she said, "Oh, nothing, nothing."

However, Jude decided to step up and attempt to create a comeback strategy for the next round as he stood tall and strong while saying, "Hold on a minute, dudes, let's try this next strategy out before we decide to call on our socially-conscious dude, Huey Freeman ..."

The other members of the Looney Screwballs just exchanged looks of confusions among themselves as Jen raised an eyebrow and asked, "Just what are you trying to recommend, Jude?"

"Listen, just give all of the balls to me in the next round and I'm positive the next round will be a cinch to win," Jude said confidently as he smiled at his fellow teammates.

Meanwhile, the Zooming Road Runners were getting their lineup together for the next round of the dodgeball challenge. While Ami, Yumi, Haruka, Rei, Wakko and Ed all stepped up to play in the next round, Nefera was looking at the other Road Runners to see who would be willing to take one for the team. She took a quick look at the remaining members of the Road Runners who were currently sitting on the team bench ... until she took notice of Wile E. Coyote still reading his book, barely showing any enthusiasm for the challenge at hand.

"Alright, Wile E. Coyote," Nefera said in a slightly-irritated tone. "You're going to have to step in for the next round."

"Listen, let me be honest right here, you guys did such an awesome job in the opening round, I don't want to mess up your unstoppable mojo," Wile E. said in a rather insincere manner, getting back to his book. "Besides, Nefera, why don't you step in for the next round yourself instead of you and Trina barking orders at everyone else on the team?"

Nefera just looked incredulously at the genius Looney Tune while Trina just felt rather insulted about the smart-aleck comment from Wile E. Coyote. However, the other members of the Road Runners started to feel that maybe, just maybe, Wile E. had an actual point.

Screwballs: Jude, Kim, Makoto, Grim, Wyatt, Rigby and Setsuna
Road Runners: Ami, Yumi, Stella, Rei, Wakko, Ed and Johnny

Right after both teams had their line-ups set up for the next round, Gin Rummy blew the whistle, bringing both teams back onto the court. While Jude and Grim returned for the next round as they were joined by Kim, Makoto, Wyatt, Rigby and Setsuna, Ed and Stella both returned for the Road Runners while they were joined by Ami, Yumi, Rei, Wakko and Johnny this time around. Taking note of Jude's plan for this round, the Screwballs decided to give him an arsenal of four dodgeballs before the second round began. Once Gin Rummy blew the whistle, signaling the start of the second round, Jude began to spin around like a top, throwing the four dodgeballs that proceeded to hit Gin Rummy, knocking him out of his seat; nearly hitting Bugs, who managed to duck out of harm's way, and some of the benched Road Runners; and also slammed Stella in the face. While most of the Screwballs were amazed by Jude's plan working out to their advantage, Jude was surprisingly upset about this when he realized he hit Stella.

As he rushed up to Stella, who was currently rubbing her head, he knelt down to her level as he asked in concern, "Ooh, sorry about that, Stella! Are you feeling okay?"

Stella rubbed her head as she moaned a bit, then she looked up at Jude and said in a reassuring tone, "Yeah, I'm fine. How does my face look?"

Jude noticed that her face was looking a little red as he winced a bit and cleared his throat, saying, "Uh ... it looks fine, dudette. I mean, you can barely notice a thing."

As Jude was speaking to Stella, Wakko came up to him and hit him on the head with his ball, thus taking him out of the game. However, Jude didn't even mind as he helped Stella off of the gym floor, dusting her off a bit as he said, "Say, Stella, would you like to go out for a walk on the campgrounds?"

Once Jude asked her about the walk, Stella was thinking about the rules of the alliance, then she just thought to herself, "Oh, why should that matter? They could manipulate some other person to join their stupid alliance! I'm going out on this walk with Jude whether Nefera and Trina like it or not!"

Stella then smiled sweetly as she held up her hand and said, "Sure thing, Jude."

Jude then grabbed Stella's hand as they both walked out of the gymnasium to go out on their walk. Trina noticed that Stella was actually congregating with one of the players from the rival team, so she decided to give the scoop to Nefera, saying, "Yo, Nefera, that traitor fairy girl is, like, seriously going out with that, like, lame-o skateboard dude!"

Nefera just gave a look of simultaneous shock and surprise as she said in an irritated tone, "Why, that no-good, self-centered, prima donna hussy of a fairy! Ooh, I can't wait to give her a piece of my mind!"

Eddy took note of Nefera's anger and annoyance towards Stella, so he decided to gloat about her current misfortune for a bit as he said, "Oh, boo-hoo! Looks like the invincible Nefera-Trina alliance is going to be all for naught! Hahahahaha!"

Once Eddy hit the floor, laughing real hard, Nefera and Trina could only glare at the loudmouthed Ed boy, but they decided not to worry about him for now. Besides, they had bigger fish to fry with a certain fashionista fairy, so they left the gymnasium to confront Stella about her frivilous romancing of Jude.

Back on the gymnasium, Rei was preparing to throw a ball at Grim, but Ed jumped up and rushed down the court with a cry of "I am Ed! Cheese and macaroni!". Once Ed grabbed all of the Road Runners' dodgeballs, he proceeded to take out Kim, Makoto, Wyatt, Setsuna, Rigby and Grim, the latter of whom becoming a huge pile of bones after getting hit by one of the dodgeballs. Grim proceeded to bounce his head back to his team's bench—with his other bones following suit—as he said in an annoyed tone, "Oh, come on now! I thought this gag was played out!"

While the Screwballs could only give sighs of defeat, the Road Runners cheered for Ed as he returned to the bench with Rei, Wakko, Ami, Yumi and Johnny. Ed seemed to feel rather surprised by his sudden outburst as he chuckled a bit and said, "Wow, I don't what came over me, guys."

"Doesn't matter, Ed!" Eddy said with a smile as he slapped his friend's back in victory. "You've put us two games ahead of the Looney Screwballs! One more game and this challenge is in the bag, Lumpy!"

The other teammates felt proud of how Ed stepped up and helped the Road Runners get ahead of the Screwballs for once, as Haruka turned to Wile E. and said in a lightly-annoyed tone, "Well, it's good to know that someone is playing their heart out today."

Once Wile E. became aware that everyone on his team was slowly but surely getting annoyed with his lack of effort in the dodgeball challenge, he decided to let out a fake cheer in an attempt to please his team and get the heat off of him, but it only fell flat as it only led to his teammates getting more annoyed with his attitude.

(Confessional Cam: Love can make one do some crazy things. Just ask Jude ... or Billy, for that matter.)

Virgil: "I honestly don't mind what Jude did earlier. He was only trying his best to help the team get back in the game. Besides, love can make people do some crazy things ... I'm sure you guys just read the intertitle of the 'Confessional Cam' title."

"The Road Runners are currently up to 2 games to none," Bugs announced as he gave a look of interest to both teams. "Well, what do you know? It looks like the Zooming Road Runners might pull off an easy win in this episode!"

The Road Runners seemed pleased with the results of the challenge as Eddy shouted over to the Screwballs, "Hey, Screwballs! How does it feel to know that you guys are going to get your first taste of the Elimination Ceremony tonight?!"

The Screwballs started to feel desperate when they realized how dire their current situation was and they needed to step up in the next round to avoid a three game sweep from the Zooming Road Runners. The Screwballs proceeded to get into a huddle as Virgil said, "Alright, guys, we need to bring in all of our secret weapons to give the Road Runners a taste of their own medicine!"

"But, what other secret weapons do we have on our side?" Jenny asked curiously.

All of the other Looney Screwballs members turned to look at Huey, who was still trying to get back to his normal self after the killer Awake-a-Thon. After several seconds of contemplation, Minako finally backed away as she said, "No way, if any of us decide to disturb Huey right now, he's going to kill us for sure!"

"No, Minako," Musa said in a reassuring tone. "I'm sure Huey wants to win this challenge as well. Plus, I highly doubt he would actually be willing to kill any of us. Sure, he might know some martial arts / kung-fu moves, but it would be highly out of character for him to kill somebody in cold blood ... with no justified motives."

While Musa's statement seemed to confuse most of the other Screwballs, Double D quickly stepped up and said, "I agree with Musa here. We need Huey's cleverness, quick wits and strategic mindset to win this challenge against the Zooming Road Runners."

"That's the spirit, Double D," Musa said with a smile, then she pushed Double D over to Huey as she said, "Now, go ahead and see if he's still awake."

Double D's eyes widened in shock as he turned to his fellow teammates and said, "What?! Me?! Why do I have to do this?"

"Are you crazy, Double D?" Musa said in a surprised tone. "If any of us try to wake him up, he could easily kick our butts! Good luck, though!"

"Besides, out of all of us on this team, you are the most-expendable one," Minako said, much to Double D's annoyance.

"Listen, there's gotta be an easier way for us to get Huey to step in for the next round of this dodgeball challenge," Ami M. said. "Besides, if he doesn't step in for the next round, we might have to kiss our chances of victory goodbye."

"Well, how are we going to convince Huey to play the next round?" Minako said in a tone of concern. "Don't you remember what happened when Ed Wuncler tried to convice him to play a game of kickball? Compared to when Bugs Bunny and the Looney Tunes had to convince Michael Jordan to help them play against the MonStars in that basketball game in Space Jam, it was way more difficult trying to convince Huey to play that kickball game!"

The other Screwballs just exchanged looks of confusion among themselves as Makoto said, "I hope you just realized that you randomly included a Space Jam reference in your previous statement, Minako."

"People, can we please get back to the topic at hand? How are we going to convince Huey to play in this next round?" Sam said, hoping to get everyone back to focusing on the challenge.

"Wow, I'm surprised you finally decided to speak after spending the previous two episodes being silent," a voice said from behind Sam.

Everyone was looking for the source of where the voice came from, but they were surprised when they saw that Huey was finally back to normal! Minako then rushed up to Huey and hugged him, saying with a huge, sweet smile, "Oh, Huey, thank you, thank you, thank you! I knew you would come through for us in this challenge!"

Huey just gave a look of confusion at Minako, then he cleared his throat as he said, "So ... you guys need some help in the next round of the dodgeball challenge, huh?"

"I'm surprised you were aware of what we were talking about, Huey," Jen said in a tone of amazement.

"Hey, I was still awake for the most part," Huey said in a reassuring tone. "Don't let my earlier moments of fatigue fool you otherwise."

The other members of the Screwballs just giggle nervously and lightly among themselves as Huey said, "Alright, if you guys want to win these next three rounds of dodgeball, here's a strategy that I would recommend."

As Huey signaled for the other Screwballs to gather into a huddle with him, Huey proceeded to say, "This strategy I picked up during some dodgeball games is called 'Rush the Top Dog'."

Screwballs: Numbah 1, Virgil, Minako, Makoto, Daggett, Flora and Huey
Road Runners: Haruka, Michiru, Wakko, Ed, Eddy, Riley and Yumi

For the third round of the dodgeball challenge, Numbah 1, Virgil, Minako, Makoto, Daggett, Flora and Huey all stepped up for the Screwballs whereas Haruka, Michiru, Wakko, Ed, Eddy, Riley and Yumi all stepped up for the Road Runners. Although the Road Runners were excited at the possibility of an easy victory for this challenge, they would soon swallow their pride and excitement once the next round began. When Gin Rummy blew his whistle to start the third round, the Screwballs managed to dodge several balls that were being thrown by the Road Runners players before all seven members each grabbed a ball that was on their side.

Once Huey picked up one of the balls, he turned to his teammates, then turned back to the Road Runners as he called, "Alright, everyone, lock in on the top dog of the Road Runners!"

In a great barrage of red rubber from the Looney Screwballs, the team managed to take Ed out of the game as the remaining Road Runners watched the onslaught caused by the Screwballs' new strategy in fear.

In quick succession, Yumi, Riley, Wakko and Eddy were all taken out of the game due to the Screwballs' new strategy working to their advantage, thus leaving only Haruka and Michiru as the remaining players left for the Road Runners. However, much to the surprise of the Screwballs, Haruka and Michiru were just standing there, unreasonably cool as Daggett said, "Eh? Why are they just standing around like that?"

"Don't worry about that right now, Daggett," Numbah 1 said as he and the other Screwballs locked in on the two girls. "Let's just go ahead and get the two girlfriends out of here, so we can win this round already!"

Once the Screwballs proceeded to throw the balls at Haruka and Michiru, they ended up missing the intended targets, with only Daggett's ball lightly touching Haruka's hair. Both girls smirked at each other as Haruka said, "Is that all you got?"

Grim proceeded to shout from the sidelines, "Oh, and you think you got something better? Why don't you just go ahead and walk the walk instead of talking the talk, princesses?"

Haruka and Michiru proceeded to look each other with smiles on their faces as Michiru said, "Should we go ahead and do so, my love?"

"Why not? I was in the mood for some action today," Haruka said with a confident smile.

Suddenly, Yakko popped in and blew a kiss to the audience as he said, "Goodnight, everybody!"

After Yakko's random cameo following the double entendre, Haruka and Michiru proceeded to engage in the moment the viewers—and, quite possibly, the world—had been waiting for: turn into their signature Sailor Guardian selves. With their respective calls of "Uranus Crystal Power, Make Up!" and "Neptune Crystal Power, Make Up!", both Haruka and Michiru transformed into the world-renowned Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune, much to the amazement of the players from both the Zooming Road Runners and the Looney Screwballs!

"No way! The kids will pay big bucks to see the Sailor Guardians in action!" Eddy said as dollar signs appeared on his eyes.

"You mean to tell me that any of these girls could've turned into the Sailor Guardians this whole time?!" Riley said in a surprised tone.

"Great, I had to open me big fat mouth ..." Grim muttered in a dark tone.

"Grim, you are forgetting the fact that we also have some Sailor Guardians on our side, right?" Wyatt said while raising an eyebrow.

While Numbah 1, Virgil, Daggett and Flora felt as though they were outmatched—though Huey did see Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune as worthy opponents—Minako and Makoto both turned to each other as Minako said, "So, that's how they wanna play this game, huh? Well, Makoto, what do you say we fight fire with fire?"

"If Rei was on our team, it would've been more appropriate, but let's go ahead and up the ante!" Makoto said.

With their respective calls of "Jupiter Crystal Power, Make Up!" and "Venus Crystal Power, Make Up!", Makoto and Minako both transformed into Sailor Jupiter and Sailor Venus, respectively, inciting similar feelings of amazement from both the Zooming Road Runners and the Looney Screwballs. Bugs then turned to the audience and said, "This stuff is getting more exciting than the times I had engaged in those races against Cecil Turtle."

Gin Rummy looked at both teams in amazement and said, "Well, it's like what a wise man once said: 'Anything goes'."

After Makoto and Minako turned into Sailor Jupiter and Sailor Venus, Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune initially felt flustered about their sudden appearance, but they eventually smirked at each other when they realized that the Looney Screwballs were going to up the ante on this competition. Both Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune proceeded to smirk at the current Looney Screwballs lineup on the court as Sailor Uranus said, "Well, I see that you guys are finally willing to get on our level for this challenge."

"Oh, just wait, Sailor Uranus," Sailor Venus said while sporting a confident smile. "You haven't seen what us Screwballs are capable of in this round of dodgeball!"

While the girls were engaging in some good-natured trash-talk, Sailor Uranus decided to pick up one of the dodgeballs and threw a lightning-quick fastball at Flora, taking the Fairy of Nature out of the challenge, much to the shock of the other Screwballs.

The Screwballs decided to get serious and get this round over with as they threw another set of red rubber balls. Just as it appeared that the two girls were going to be done for, Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune both dodged away from the oncoming red balls of doom. While all of the contestants, Bugs and Gin Rummy stared in amazement at their skills, Sailor Neptune picked up another ball and, with 100% pinpoint accuracy, nailed Daggett in the stomach, who could only cry out, "Eeee-heh-heh-heh-hehhhh!"

While the beaver walked over to the bleachers of his team, the Screwballs prepared another volley for the two Sailor Guardians. Surprisingly enough, Huey started to look concerned about the situation at hand as he turned to Virgil, who was currently holding a ball in his hand, and said, "Virgil, are you sure you want to go up there? I mean, it looks as though Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune are way more powerful than we have realized."

"Don't worry, Huey, we won't let Haruka and Michiru get to us that easily," Virgil whispered back to Huey in a reassuring tone.

However, Virgil, Huey and the remaining Screwballs on their side of the court turned to the Road Runners' side as they all felt an ominous and powerful presence in the gymnasium. Once they all found the source of said presence, they all saw Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune floating in the air with magical sparkles and red roses flying around, much to the confusion of some of the contestants. Sailor Neptune then placed a hand on her hip as she picked up another dodgeball, spun it around on her finger and decided to target Numbah 1 as she said, "Oh, Numbah 1 ... sorry to say, but ..."

"It looks like your time in this challenge is up!" Sailor Uranus said as she glared at Numbah 1 with a devious smile.

As Sailor Neptune was powering up a red-hot fireball in Numbah 1's direction, Huey leaned towards Numbah 1 and said, "Numbah 1, I think it would be best if you got out of dodge."

However, Numbah 1's reaction to this just stunned Huey, the Screwballs and ... pretty much everyone else in the room: "No. If I have to take the hit for my team to win this thing, I will go down in honor."

As Sailor Neptune prepared to throw the ball at the leader of Sector V, some of the Screwballs and some of the Road Runners could only cover their eyes in fear while Huey, Virgil, Sailor Jupiter and Sailor Venus could only stare at the Kids Next Door operatives with looks of concern on their faces as Numbah 1 could only prepare for the inevitable that was going to happen.

(Confessional Cam: We interrupt this intense moment of Total Warners Island for an important announcement!)

Bugs: "In case you folks at home were wondering where Darius is right now, he had some business with Nick Cannon in terms of promoting the upcoming season of his long-running hit MTV show, Wild 'N Out. It's a blessing in disguise that he decided to use this week to prepare for the new season. I haven't got the heart to tell him the reason why most of the cast had to sleep with night-lights in their rooms for the past couple of days."

As Numbah 1 was still standing tall and confident, Sailor Neptune proceeded to throw her red-hot fireball at the KND operative, hoping to take him out of the game with ease. However, much to her surprise, instead of her throw taking Numbah 1 right out of the game, Numbah 1 ... just coolly stepped out of the way with ease, then he picked up the ball and attempted to throw it back at Sailor Neptune, who just dodged out of its direction in response as she caught it when it hit the glass wall.

Surprised to see her girlfriend's plan backfire just like that, Sailor Uranus decided to pick up two dodgeballs and throw them at Numbah 1, but Numbah 1 quickly deflected one of the balls with his own, then he passed another dodgeball to Huey, who managed to deflect the second ball that was coming his way. Before Huey could aim at one of the two Sailor Guardians on the Road Runners' side of the court, Sailor Uranus threw a dodgeball she picked up from right out of nowhere with said ball leaving a lightning-fast trail as it targeted Numbah 1. While Numbah 1 was ready to take the hit for his team, he noticed that he wasn't the one who was knocked out; it was actually Virgil, who managed to jump in front of Numbah 1 and take the hit himself.

Although the teenage superhero initially caught the ball when it hit him, the force of the throw was so powerful that it ended up dropping from his hands, causing him to walk back to his team's bench as Huey, Numbah 1, Sailor Jupiter and Sailor Venus started to feel rather uneasy when they realized that, even though they had two players more than the ones on the Road Runners' side, they were still outmatched in terms of their skills.

However, while most of the Screwballs and some of the Road Runners were getting concerned by how the third round was going down, Trina and Nefera both exchanged smirks of amusement with each other as they thought the two Guardians could easily win this one for the team.

(Confessional Cam: The most screentime Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune had gotten since ... debatedly, the final season of Sailor Moon: Sailor Moon Sailor Stars)

Nefera: "Upon further retrospect, it was a good thing that we got Haruka and Michiru on our team. Besides, I was honestly starting to lose hope in us actually winning this challenge with ease."

Grim: "I don't know about you guys, but those two girls completely scare the death out of me."

Babs: "I guess I can somewhat understand why Double D feels the way he feels about dodgeball. If you had to go up against anybody who had the skills of Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune ... you would probably freak out and be on the verge of shedding tears, too."

Haruka: "What can I say? With my previous experience of being considerably the best athlete at my school back home, I felt the skills I've learned during my school sports career would come in handy in this challenge. Well ... that and my profession as a Sailor Guardian."

Once Virgil was taken out of the game by Sailor Uranus' shot at him, Huey, Numbah 1, Sailor Jupiter and Sailor Venus all gathered into a huddle to discuss their game plan for their next play as Huey whispered, "Listen, everyone, we need to think of a foolproof plan to stop the current reign and control Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune had over the rest of the third round. Does anyone have any good ideas?"

"Forfeit the game and just give them the win fair and square?" Sailor Venus said, smiling sheepishly when her comment incited annoyed looks and sighs from Sailor Jupiter, Numbah 1 and Huey.

While the players continued their brainstorming session, an idea finally popped into Numbah 1's head as he said, "Wait a minute! I think I have a really good idea, team."

After whispering his game plan to his teammates, the four members of the Screwbals lined up on the court like they did before, then they threw their balls straight at Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune. When the two Outer Guardians dodged the barrage of red rubber again, the Screwballs only groaned in response as the two girls prepared to throw dodgeballs straight at them. Once Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune began to throw their respective dodgeballs, however, they heard a whizzing sound that came right out of nowhere. When the teenage couple looked around to see where that sound was coming from, a rubber ball hit Sailor Uranus on the back of her head, then proceeded to hit Sailor Neptune straight on her head, thus taking the two Guardians right out of the game and giving the Screwballs their first win of the best-of-3 series!

The Screwballs all stared in amazement, then cheered in response as Sailor Jupiter and Sailor Venus just looked on in confusion, then they saw Numbah 1 smirking deviously as he and Huey walked back to the team bench. Sailor Jupiter and Sailor Venus both turned back into their normal selves as Sailor Venus asked, "Hey, Numbah 1, what did you do to Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune?"

"Well, I had tricked those two into thinking that we had used up all of our balls on our side," Numbah 1 explained. "So, just as they were getting ready to take us out of the game and give their team the easy win, I utilized my special KND-brand dodgeball that managed to knock both of them out of the game in a simple and synchronized fashion."

While Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune were turning back into their civilian selves, Haruka took notice of Numbah 1 and Huey, then she looked at Michiru, helping her back to their team's bench as she said, "That was pretty impressive on Numbah 1's part."

"You're telling me," Michiru said as she gave a small smile in response. "That Huey kid wasn't doing too shabby in this round, either."

Before the fourth round began, the Road Runners were in the middle of setting up their lineup as Wile E. looked up from his book and said, "Come on, pick up the slack, people! After that humiliating loss we had in the last round, I'm surprised you aren't willing to go all the way in this time around!"

Riley could only glare at Wile E. as he said in an annoyed tone, "Oh, shut up, Wile E. Coyote! You should be grateful of the fact that we didn't vote your smug super-genius ass off of the show last week! You haven't done a damn thing in this entire episode, not a damn thing whatsoever!"

Wile E. just felt rather flustered about Riley's assessment about his contributions to the team in this episode as Eddy added, "Nothing but just give off some smart-aleck comments throughout the entire episode."

On the Screwballs' side of the court, Double D was still having some wildly mixed emotions about playing in the next round after he saw what happened in the third round. While Makoto, Flora and Juniper tried their best to calm his nerves and reassure him that things would be different, both teams sent out their next set of contestants to play in the fourth round. For this round, however, Huey, Numbah 1, Haruka and Michiru were all getting themselves re-energized on the team benches, so they could be ready for the final game of the dodgeball challenge.

Back with the Road Runners, Numbah 5 was looking at her fellow teammates, noticing that a few of their team members were currently absent as she said, "Yo, does anyone know what happened to Stella, Nefera and Trina?"

The other members of the Zooming Road Runners were looking around for the aforementioned contestants as Eddy said to Numbah 5, "Who knows? They're probably just goofing around in the campgrounds again."

"That sounds like something I would've expected from Ed," Rei quipped with a smirk as she pointed at Ed.

"Well, that is something I really wanted to do," Ed said as he blushed and smiled warily.

Speaking of Stella, Nefera and Trina, the latter two were busy looking for the former throughout the campgrounds as they were thinking about what they were going to do to her when they finally catch up with her. Nefera was literally seething with anger as she turned to Trina and said, "I can't believe that spoiled fairy princess would ever dare to turn her back on this alliance, just to go out with some pathetic skater guy!"

"You're telling me, Nefera," Trina said. "Like, why would she be focusing on falling in love with these boys when there is, like, a huge amount of money on the line?"

After spending minutes looking for Stella, Nefera and Trina had overheard some giggling from Stella as they found her under the docks, relaxing with Jude. Nefera and Trina both gasped in shock as Trina said, "Stella, I can't believe you! How are you going to forsake this alliance for THIS STUPID ROMANTIC ADVENTURE YOU ARE GOING TO EMBARK ON?!"

Stella and Jude looked up in shock, then Stella stood up and glared at the two girls in annoyance as she said, "Why are you getting on my case about just forming a budding romance with a person I am becoming more acqauinted with? At least Jude is respectful and treats everyone he meets as an actual person! He's not as stuck-up as some of the other low-life scum on this planet!"

"Hold up, did you just indirectly insult us through your last statement?!" Nefera said in a tone of anger.

Stella could only giggle in response as she turned her back to Nefera and Trina, smirking as she said, "Maybe I did, maybe I didn't. Depends on how you two want to look at it."

Nefera started to twitch uncontrollably in anger and Trina's hair stared to go up in flames as the latter said, "Okay, Stella, like, that is IT! From this point forward, you are officially out of this alliance! Nefera and I could easily find some sorry sucker to take your spot!"

"Good! Kick me out of your stupid alliance!" Stella shouted back. "I never even wanted to be around you two in the first place!"

"Well, to be honest, we were thinking the same thing about you: a spoiled little princess who must've had some serious daddy issues," Nefera said with a smug smile, inciting a shocked gasp from Stella.

Stella started to get even angrier as tears welled up in her eyes and she said in a tone of anger, "Y-Y-You take that back, you evil witch in a teenage mummy's body!"

Jude decided to stand up on Stella's behalf as he said, "Hey, why don't you leave her alone and get out of here, you evil witches?! This girl has done nothing to earn this hateful rhetoric from either of you two!"

Stella seemed rather surprised by Jude's heartfelt declaration as she thought to herself, "Whoa ... I just knew this guy for at least 15 minutes and I am just seeing a new side to him."

"Oh, really, skater lame-o?" Trina said as she picked up a nearby canoe and targeted it at Jude. "Why don't you mind your business and dodge this?!"

Once Trina threw the canoe down, said canoe ended up crashing on Jude, leaving him trapped in the wooden vessel. Nefera and Trina could only laugh evilly as they left the two lovebirds alone at the docks. Stella growled at the two in response as she was able to get the canoe off of Jude, dusting him off as she said, "Oh, Jude, are you okay?"

Jude dusted himself off for a bit as he said, "Yeah, I'm fine, Stella. I should be asking you the same question: are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm cool," Stella said in a quiet tone.

Jude took note of Stella's sudden change in attitude as he said, "Stella, is there something you're not telling me?"

Stella felt rather overwhelmed by what Nefera said about her father as tears welled up in her eyes again, then she just ran all the way into the girls' side of the Road Runners' cabin, leaving Jude surprised as he said to himself, "I guess Nefera really struck a nerve from within with that 'daddy issues' crack."

While Stella and Jude were still absent from the beach gymnasium at the moment, Nefera and Trina walked back to their team, laughing hard with a few tears coming out of their eyes, much to the confusion of the other Road Runners. Buster looked at his fellow teammates and asked, "Did anyone do anything funny?"

"I'm the comedy dispenser of the Road Runners, guys!" Ed said with a smile while waving, much to the confusion of his teammates.

"You worry me sometimes, Ed," Eddy said while shaking his head in disdain.

"At least we found the two long-lost sisters of the Crust Cousins, but where's Stella?" Numbah 5 said as she looked around for Stella.

"Oh, don't worry about her," Nefera said as she tried to hold back her laughter. "Anyway, how are we doing in this round so far?"

She was summarily answered by Norbert, the final member of the Road Runners who was on the court at the moment, getting knocked out of the game through the same strategy that the Screwballs had implemented in the previous round. Apparently, the 'Rush the Top Dog' strategy worked some serious wonders for the Screwballs as long as two certain Sailor Guardians were not on the court at the moment.

As they were setting up the team lineups for the next round, the other Road Runners turned to look at Wile E., who said while not even looking up from his book, "Sports: not my forte, remember?"

Nefera only got angrier from Wile E. not taking the challenge seriously as she said through gritted teeth, "You know ... you could actually give it a shot and, you know, pretend to care."

Wile E. could only give an impassive look in response to Nefera before he sighed and said, "Alright, fine, you got me: in the next round, I'll play for the team."

While the Screwballs were getting their lineup set up, they noticed that Jude was still missing as Mordecai said, "Hey, have any of you guys seen Jude anywhere?"

"I thought he would've gotten back from his little 'hanky-panky' makeout session with that Stella girl," Daggett said while lightly laughing with joy.

"Oh, come on, Dag, there's no way Jude would actually be on a date for this long," Wyatt said to Daggett while raising an eyebrow.

"Just wait until he reaches third base, mon," Grim said under his breath.

Eventually, Jude and Stella finally made their way back to the gymnasium, apparently having a heartwarming conversation after Stella broke down and went to her cabin to calm herself down following that intense encounter with Nefera and Trina. Before they could engage in their big kiss, they noticed that they were being watched by their fellow contestants, Bugs, Gin Rummy and, by extension, the entire viewing populace. Based on the looks on the contestants' faces, some of them were surprised about how a guy like Jude managed to hook up with a girl like Stella; others smiled warmly for the new, young couple; a select few of the guys—Eddy, Riley, Daggett—looked like they were going to bust a gut from laughter; and Nefera and Trina felt enraged from within.

Jude and Stella snapped out of their lovestruck stupor and blushed as Jude cleared his throat and said, "Uh, sorry to be the rude one here, Stella, but I think my teammates would like for me to be with them ... over there ... heh-heh."

"Right, same for my team there," Stella said as she chuckled nervously.

As Stella and Jude walked back to their respective teams, Nefera and Trina could only glare at Stella, which only seemed to increase Eddy's urge to laugh as hard as he ever did before. Riley himself proceeded to snicker that eventually blossomed into a full-blown laugh, which only caused Stella to cup her face with her hands in embarrassment.

"Riley, this isn't funny," Usagi said as she turned and glared at the younger Freeman brother.

Riley regained his composure for a bit amidst all of his laughter as he said, "Oh, yeah, it is! Y'all must not have overheard that roasting session she, Nefera and Trina had earlier! Bruh, you girls are so coldblooded, man!"

Riley proceeded to laugh even more as Eddy started to laugh real hard and said, "Hey, this is the kind of stuff that's part of a major reality show goldmine! Better than what you would see on cable nowadays!"

Although Eddy and Riley were engaging in some raucous laughter, Johnny himself was rather surprised that Jude managed to get to Stella before he had a chance to date one of the girls on the island, saying to himself, "Aw, man! What does Jude have that I don't? He doesn't have my muscles, my biceps—Hr!—my charming demeanor, my smooth, romantic ways ... yet he still managed to get a girlfriend before I could!"

Meanwhile, with the Looney Screwballs, they were trying to figure out why Jude was out with Stella for so long and what was the big deal about this confrontation she had with Nefera and Trina.

"Okay, Jude, just be honest with us about one thing: are you falling in love with Stella?" Wyatt asked curiously.

Jude could only blush in response and chuckle nervously for a bit as he said, "Ha-haaaa ... dude, you're crazy, so who are we choosing to go in for the final round?"

"Jude, please don't change the subject," Double D said.

"Jude, we're your friends," Jen said in a reassuring tone as she placed her arm around Jude's shoulders. "You know you can trust us."

Jude could only sigh in response as he cleared his throat and said, "Fine, I guess you could say I am ... developing some feelings for Stella."

Once he said this, some of the girls sighed lovingly, though Numbah 1 was slightly thrown off by this as, although he did have his own experience of being in a relationship, he didn't fully understand why the older contestants were more serious about these budding relationships than the younger ones. However, similar to Huey, he did feel neutral about the situation at hand.

"Jude, that's so sweet!" Minako said with a beaming smile.

"You really think so?" Jude asked while raising an eyebrow.

"Why do you sound so surprised?" Minako asked curiously.

"Well, I'm just saying ... I just don't want this relationship to go badly," Jude said with a sigh. "Besides, what if she already has a boyfriend back home?"

"Actually, don't all of the Winx Club girls have boyfriends back home?" Dib asked while rubbing his chin.

"Best not to open any opportunities for shipping wars, Dib," Grim whispered to Dib.

"Did you ask her about that part?" Flora asked.

"Not really," Jude said. "We were just relaxing seaside on the docks until Nefera and Trina showed up and started arguing with her about this stupid alliance they set up."

"An alliance? What alliance?" Kim asked while raising an eyebrow.

Suddenly, Gin Rummy blew his whistle as he said to both teams, "Listen, y'all, I understand you guys are concerned with creating a Trapped in the Closet-style storyline for the first part of this season—and trust me, I'm sure R. Kelly would be eating this stuff up—but I hope you realize that there is one more round of dodgeball you guys have to play ... besides, this one is going to be the tiebreaker to determine the winner of this challenge, so get your teams ready and get on the court now!"

"Maybe it would be best if we talked about this later," Makoto said as both teams sent out their starting players out onto the court.

Road Runners: Haruka, Michiru, Wakko, Usagi, Rei, Eddy and Wile E.
Screwballs: Huey, Numbah 1, Jen, Setsuna, Clawdeen, Juniper and Virgil

It was time for the final round of the dodgeball challenge and both teams had brought out some of their biggest stars and secret weapons to give everything they've to determine the true winner of this challenge. Haruka, Michiru, Wakko, Usagi, Rei, Eddy and an annoyed Wile E. Coyote were all playing for the Zooming Road Runners whereas Huey, Numbah 1, Jen, Setsuna, Clawdeen, Juniper and Virgil all stepped up for the Looney Screwballs.

"Alright, everyone, this is the final match of the challenge," Bugs said as he looked at both teams. "The winning team will receive a special prize after this challenge whereas the losing team ... well, I'm sure you know the drill by now. Anyway, Road Runners, Screwballs, get out there and dodge those balls. Ready ... set ... go!"

Once Gin Rummy blew his whistle to signal the start of the match, the final match was underway. However, both teams decided to ease their way into the final match. Although some balls were being thrown around, they were more or less light tosses to see what the other team had under their sleeves.

"Hey, Usagi, are you ready to win this challenge?" Rei whispered to Usagi.

"I've been waiting for the opportunity since the first episode," Usagi whispered back in response.

"Well, let me know if you need some help because—" Rei continued until she was hit with the ball.

Once she was hit with the ball, Rei ended up slamming into the back wall of the gymnasium as she walked back to her team's bench while rubbing her head and moaning for a bit, much to Eddy's amusement ... seeing as how he was holding back his laughter from how ridiculous the scenario played out. When Usagi was looking for the person who threw it, all she saw was Setsuna whistling on the other side.

"Real clever, Setsuna ... real clever, indeed," Usagi said to herself.

Following Rei's elimination, the game's energy levels seemed to be a lot lower compared to the previous rounds as, even after several minutes of gameplay, no one aside from Rei was out. Virgil then noticed that Double D was sitting on the team bench. Although he still feared playing dodgeball, he actually felt as though he just wanted to go ahead and get over his fear for once. Virgil tried to figure out how they were going to get him into the game, but an idea eventually popped into his head.

Meanwhile, Clawdeen and Usagi threw their balls and somehow hit each other at the same time in a synchronized fashion, thus taking them out of the competition. Although they felt rather upset about taking each other out like this, they were internally grateful that they were able to avoid the intense difficulty spike that was going to occur because Haruka and Michiru had once again turned into Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune, respectively. Luckily, to counteract this, Setsuna turned into Sailor Pluto with a call of "Pluto Crystal Power, Make Up!" to give the Screwballs some extra leverage.

Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune both smiled at each other as they were glad the Screwballs were ready to give them some real competition for once. Sailor Uranus managed to grab four of the red rubber balls and proceeded to throw them at Jen, hitting her at different areas of her body. Juniper decided to step up against the two Outer Guardians as she grabbed one of the dodgeballs and said, "Alright, Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune, why don't you try this one on for size?"

As Juniper threw one of the balls at Sailor Neptune, Sailor Neptune just stopped the ball in mid-air and magically twirled the ball around as she threw it back at Juniper, hitting her upside the head as she fell on the ground in a daze.

While Huey and Numbah 1 stepped up and decided to take on Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune themselves, the other Screwballs were busy taking on the remaining Road Runners. Eddy decided to take Sailor Pluto out of the game by throwing the dodgeball at her, but Virgil managed to catch the ball with ease, thus taking Eddy out of the game.

After Virgil caught the ball, he decided to bring Double D into the game. Once he noticed that Virgil picked him to come into the game, Double D started to get cold feet as he hid behind Makoto, feeling nervous about what would happen once he got out there.

"I-I don't know about this, Virgil," Double D said in a nervous tone. "What if Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune decide to target me when I get out there? You know how they tend to target the weakest links first!"

"Don't worry, Double D, you're going to be fine," Jenny said in a reassuring tone as she rubbed his hat. "Besides, you still have Huey, Numbah 1, Sailor Pluto and Virgil out there to protect you."

"No, really, I-I-I don't n-n-need to be out there on the court right now," Double D said as he tried to run away, but was dragged out to the court by Bloom and Virgil.

"Why is this so bad to you, Double D?" Bloom said in a curious tone. "This stuff is no worse than jumping off of a cliff."

As Double D stood at the back wall of the beach gymnasium, the other Screwballs were engaged in a huge dodgeball battle against the remaining Road Runners. Virgil had managed to take Usagi out of the game moments earlier, though Wakko decided to return the favor by taking Virgil out of the game in response. Double D took notice of the battle Huey and Numbah 1 were having with Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune as the former two were dodging everything the latter two threw at them. Once Huey and Numbah 1 started to get more comfortable, Sailor Uranus picked up one of the dodgeballs on her team's side and threw it straight at Huey. Huey appeared to dodge it with ease, but he was surprised when he heard Gin Rummy blow his whistle, which was the signal that he had been hit. When Gin Rummy watched the instant replay, he noticed that Huey's afro had been frayed by Sailor Uranus' ball, thus taking him out of the game. Once Huey was out of the game, Wakko decided to use this opportunity to take out Numbah 1, but Sailor Pluto quickly caught the ball and managed to take Wakko out of the game.

When Sailor Pluto decided to call in another Screwballs teammate, Courage jumped up from the team bench and decided to help his new friends out. Just as he stepped on the court, Sailor Neptune had knocked out Numbah 1 with her dodgeball, taking the KND operative out, thus leaving Double D, Courage and Sailor Pluto as the only Screwballs left on the court. Wile E. decided to seize this opportunity by targeting Double D, but the genius coyote just lazily threw his ball in the air and it only fell near Double D's foot. Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune could only stare in complete surprise as they turned to Wile E. and Sailor Uranus said, "Wile E., what are you doing?! You're just going to give up on the game just like that, at the most crucial moment possible?"

"Hey, I don't think you two need me from this point forward," Wile E. said while sporting a smug smile on his face. "Besides, don't tell me you two are scared of playing against a Time Lord who happens to be one of your allies, a boy genius who happens to have an irrational fear of dodgeball and a pink, cowardly dog who had a near-death experience in this game before."

As Wile E. walked away from Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune—much to the annoyance of the other members of the Zooming Road Runners—the two Outer Guardians turned to see who they were up against, so they decided to up the ante against these three. Sailor Uranus proceeded to grab all of the balls on the Road Runners' side of the court and threw them at Double D and Courage, but, just as Double D and Courage were preparing for the inevitable, Sailor Pluto decided to push the two out of the way as she took the hit that was intended for Courage and Double D, with the ball hitting her in the stomach, which explains why she held her stomach as she walked back to the team bench.

Once Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune realized that Double D and Courage were the only two left in the game, the Road Runners started to cheer because they knew they would get the easy win in this challenge. Sailor Neptune smiled deviously as she decided to go after Double D while Sailor Uranus went after Courage. As Sailor Neptune picked up one of the dodgeballs that was near her, Double D jumped up in fear as he looked around for a means of defense until he noticed the dodgeball Wile E. threw in the air, so he decided to pick up the ball and target Sailor Neptune. Double D gulped nervously as he reared back and prepared to throw the ball at Sailor Neptune. As both the Looney Screwballs and the Zooming Road Runners watched on in amazement, Double D and Sailor Neptune proceeded to throw their dodgeballs at the same time and ... surprisingly enough, while Double D was pulverized by Sailor Neptune's throw, he still had enough strength behind his throw to hit Sailor Neptune, thus taking her out of the game as well.

As Double D and Sailor Neptune both walked back to their respective team benches, the Road Runners took note of the current matchup and began to cheer as they realized there was no way that a cowardly dog could easily defeat an opponent who was one of the strongest Sailor Guardians in the universe.

Sailor Uranus smiled deviously at Courage, who started to shake in fear—even though he had the encouragement of his fellow Screwballs teammates—as he was looking around for a strategy and said, "What do I do? What do I do?"

"Come on, Courage!" Makoto shouted from the team bench. "There must be something you can do!"

As Courage pondered something he could do to save the Screwballs from a humiliating loss, Kim said loudly, "Come on, Courage! What can you do to win this game?"

This line sparked a memory from within as Courage realized what he did to win the last dodgeball game he was a part of. As a light bulb appeared and lit up above his head, he began to hold his breath, then he did what he realized he always did best: scream!

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA—!" Courage shouted as his screams forced everyone in the beach gymnasium, including Sailor Uranus, to cover their ears.

Courage's scream was so loud in fact that no one noticed that the roof began to crack from above. Once they did notic, however, it was already too late as pieces of the roof had already fallen and landed on none other than Sailor Uranus, easily incapacitating her. After Courage finished his screaming session, he simply picked up a ball that was nearby, then he, very gently, hit Sailor Uranus on her head, thus winning the challenge for the Looney Screwballs.

Gin Rummy blew his whistle to signal the end of the dodgeball challenge as Bugs said to the audience, "That's all, folks! The Looney Screwballs have done the unthinkable: come back from a 2-0 deficit to come back and destroy the Zooming Road Runners to win this series 3-2! The Looney Screwballs have won this challenge again!"

The Looney Screwballs all ran onto the court and lifted Courage in the air as they cheered for him until they were stopped by Darius Magnificent, who was holding two Animated All-Star awards. Darius then announced, "Alright, everyone, before you all go for the evening, I have to give out the two Animated All-Star awards. These Animated All-Star Awards go to ...

... Courage and Double D! Although Double D may have had a fear of dodgeball and Courage looked nervous about what would happen once it came down to him and Sailor Uranus, both contestants managed to defy the odds and step up to defeat the unstoppable Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune on the Zooming Road Runners, leading to them getting the big win for the Looney Screwballs!"

Courage and Double D both grabbed their Animated All-Star Awards and smiled with joy as the Looney Screwballs proceeded to lift both Courage and Double D up in the air with their arms, cheering for them as they left the gymnasium in complete joy.

While the Looney Screwballs were celebrating their third victory in a row with complete joy and exuberance, the Zooming Road Runners felt rather downtrodden and disappointed as Bugs walked up to them and curiously asked, "Road Runners, what happened to you guys near the end of this challenge?"

While the Road Runners could only sigh in disappointment as they realized the inevitable was going to happen, Wile E. just shrugged his shoulders as he smugly said, "What can I say, Bugsy? We gave a weak effort near the end of this thing."

Feeling annoyed and insulted by Wile E. Coyote's assertion about their sudden lack of effort in the challenge, Babs hopped off of the team bench and said, "Oh, shut up, Wile E.!"

As Babs left the gymnasium, Nefera followed suit as she said, "Y'know? For once, I actually agree with that rabbit."

As soon as Babs and Nefera left the gymnasium, the remaining members of the Zooming Road Runners could only glare at Wile E., who only said, "Hey, what happened to the sense of good sportsmanship around here? Listen, you guys are just being hostile for no good reason."

(Confessional Cam: A couple of words from the winners ... and some from the ... runners-up, so to speak.)

Double D: "I guess there is a silver lining here after my participation in the dodgeball challenge. Even though it was a quick moment at that point in time, I actually got over my fear of dodgeball by actually throwing a dodgeball at somebody and actually getting them out. I hope Michiru and Haruka won't hold any grudges towards Courage and myself for this ... I don't want to deal with any enemies during my time on this island."

Courage: "It was a good thing that I remember the scream I did from my last dodgeball competition to help my team win the challenge. I know it might not have been the most-satisfying way to defeat a rival, but ... what else was there to do at that point in time?"

Eddy: "It must be very embarrassing if you happen to be two of our most-overpowered players on our team, but you end up losing in the final round to Double D and Courage. Well, I can say one thing that is important, though: Double D finally got over his fear of dodgeball by actually playing in the game for a bit. I just hope that bit of character development lasts for the rest of the season and his fear just doesn't randomly pop up again in a later episode for some trivial plot-specific reasons."

Haruka: "Although it was expected of Huey and Numbah 1 to actually show some athletic prowess in this challenge, I was honestly surprised to see that Michiru and I were actually defeated by Double D and Courage from the Looney Screwballs. Although this loss was embarrassing to not only the both of us, but the rest of our team, I have got to say ... I'm actually impressed."

Later that night, the Zooming Road Runners were all sitting in the campfire pit for the elimination ceremony as Bugs walked up to them, holding a plate of 27 marshmallows as he addressed the Road Runners, "Alright, Road Runners, I think you guys know the drill by now, since this is literally the third time you guys have had this ceremony. If I do not call your name and you don't receive a marshmallow, you are going to walk the Dock of Shame, board the Boat of Maroons and never come back ... EVER! Anyway, the first marshmallow of the night goes to Sailor Ura—I mean, Haruka."

Haruka smirked at the rabbit as she walked up and received her marshmallow, then she said to Bugs with a light giggle, "Very classy, Bugs."

Bugs cleared his throat as he proceeded to say, "Michiru."

Michiru smiled warmly as she caught her marshmallow.

"The next set of marshmallows will go to Ami, Yumi, Rei, Ed and Eddy," Bugs said as he passed out marshmallows to the aforementioned contestants.

"Draculaura, Clover, Trina, Nefera, Riley and Cindy," Bugs said as he handed the marshmallows to the following contestants.

"Tecna, Stella, Numbah 5, Wakko, Yakko and Babs," Bugs said as the next set of contestants caught their marshmallows.

"Johnny, Norbert, Roxy, Layla, Cleo, Buster and Mandy," Bugs said as the final set of contestants received their marshmallows, leaving only Usagi and Wile E. Coyote.

"Usagi, Wile E., both of you have racked up tons of votes from your fellow contestants, but only one of you will remain after tonight's vote," Bugs said to both contestants as he held up the last marshmallow, causing Usagi to look nervous while Wile E. just stood tall and cool. "Therefore, I will say that the final marshmallow of the night goes to ...

... Usagi."

Usagi cheered with joy as she jumped up and picked up her marshmallow as Wile E. shouted in a shocked tone, "What?! Are you kidding me right now?!"

While Usagi kissed her marshmallow, the other members of the Zooming Road Runners proceeded to smile proudly as Wile E. started to become aware of his fate, saying, "Alright, fine! See if I care! Good luck for the rest of the show because you guys basically voted off the only one who had any semblance of brains and common sense on this team!"

However, the other members of the Zooming Road Runners proceeded to throw their marshmallows at the super-genius coyote as Layla dusted her hands off and said, "Listen, Wile E., you need to learn a little thing called respect."

"Whatever," Wile E. said as he walked down the Dock of Shame and boarded the Boat of Maroons. "I'm getting the heck out of here."

"Well, that wasn't exactly the most-dramatic campfire ceremony as I thought it would be," Bugs explained. "However, at least it did bring some closure. Anyway, folks, stay tuned next week for some more insanity and new levels of drama on the next installment of Total ... Warners ... Island!"

"That's all, folks!"

Chapter 4 Completed

Eliminated: Billy, Zim, Wile E.

Animated All-Star Award Winners: Virgil, Daggett, Courage and Double D

I hope you all enjoyed this fourth chapter of the series. This is practically a more well-written version of what I had originally written for this chapter back in February 2015. I hope you all noticed some subtle developments to the relationships between certain characters, the development of certain characters and the character interactions. There were quite a few in-jokes I had snuck into this new version of this chapter, so let's see if you can spot them. Anyway, I don't have too much else to say, other than I hope you all enjoyed this chapter. Anyway, "Stay Tooned" for more new chapters of Total Warners Island, folks!
