A lot has been going on for myself in the last few years now having two beautiful girls named after Liara from mass effect and Aveline from dragon age. Thane's POV
We both sat staring awkwardly at each other trying not to stare directly at each other. I could see Shepard's eye begin to twitch. How come it was so easy to tell Violet and now when he's here I find it difficult to tell him? Because you're a man aren't you men aren't supposed to talk about their feelings with other grown men, you punch each other in the shoulder and move on! One voice said while the other said just do it. He already knows about her, he's not going to care. It's his job ain't it to keep the crew stable? I mean if not everyone on this ship could easily go on a killing spree.
I bowed my head, by the gods I'm losing it.
"Kelly said you wanted to talk to me?" Shepard said shifting in his chair.
"Yes it's about my son. Now that you're here though I find it hard to talk about."
"Take your time." He said. I half smiled at him, I knew I could trust him from, the moment he tracked me down on Omega.
I got up walking over to my weapons, each one I can remember who I've killed with them. I sighed slowly beginning.
Shepard's POV
Why, does every member of my crew have problem? Didn't they think about their lives more when you know, we weren't going to die? Haven't they heard the saying do things today as if you were going to die tomorrow? I need a drink I thought not thinking about the fact that Kasumi lived in the room with the bar.
"There you are!" She said sitting on the couch.
"I just came in to get a drink." I said pointing at the bar.
"I'll join you, no one should drink alone." She said sliding into the bar stool as I got the glasses out.
I sat down beside her, pouring be some Serrice ice brandy. Dr. Chakwas, damn her for getting me hooked on this girlie drink. I know Kasumi is going to say something.
"So… Serrice ice brandy."
"Yep."
"I heard you and Dr. Chakwas had a drink together with it?"
"That's right."
"That's nice, with everything that's been going on in your lives; good friends are a luxury."
"Yeah… Dr. Chakwas has been stationed on this ship since it was first in flight. It wouldn't be the same without her."
"Hmm…" She said taking another drink.
We sat in silence for a moment just enjoying our drinks.
"Why does this ship even have a bar, if you and I are the only ones who seem to use it?" She said turning to look at me. I opened my mouth to answer when Violet and Grunt came in.
"There is no way in hell, you can beat me at anything!" Grunt bellowed.
"Oh yeah pipsqueak! Prove it." She shot back.
"Uh…what are you doing?" I said to Violet as she went behind the bar and grunt slide in beside me.
"Tank boy over here thinks he can beat me at a drinking contest." She shot a thumb in his direction as she searched through the inventory.
"This… woman… is irritating. I have to prove her wrong Shepard there is no way a Krogran to lose to someone like her!"
"Like me what's that supposed to mean?" She shot up with a few bottles mixing them together.
"Just that there is no way in hell a small short woman like you could ever beat a guy my size at anything."
"Oh no." I said leaning closer to Kasumi to get out of the line of fire.
"What?" Grunt said looking at me shrugging his shoulders one moment the next he was against the back wall.
"Nice shockwave!" Kasumi said.
"Just take it outside next time I don't want my things broken." She said looking worriedly at her stuff.
"I won't break anything." Violet said as she poured the drinks. I could hear grunt grumbling all the way back over.
"First one to puke, fall over or pass out loses." Grunt stated slamming his hand down on the bar.
"Hey, no one tears up my ship!" Joker said over the intercom.
"It's alright, I'm keeping an eye on them." I said back.
"Shepard, we have arrived at the citadel per your request." EDI stated.
"Damn, just when it was getting good. Kasumi make sure they don't do anything stupid." I said walking out banging on thanes door.
"Hey, let's get things moving." I said to him.
Tali's POV
I rolled over to find Shepard already gone. On another mission without me, sighing I rolled onto my back looking out the above window watching the void pass us by for a few minutes until I decided I better catch up on what was going on with the ships engines; it made me uncomfortable not knowing what was going on at all times.
Samara's POV
I heard the door swish open. I turned to see Violet standing in the doorway,
"Mind if I join you?" She said. I motioned for her to sit with me and she followed suit. We sat in silence for awhile until my curiosity got the better of me.
"Was there something you needed?" I said looking at her. She opened her eyes, coming out of her own mind.
"I just wanted to see how you were doing after what happened is all," She said not looking at me. I turned away before I spoke so my eyes didn't tell the truth;
"I am as good as I can be at the moment, if you are questioning my ability to continue the mission that is not at stake. I will fulfil my promise to Shepard."
"That wasn't what I was asking and you know it." She stated.
"I know, forgive me if I do not wish to discuss the matter." I said still reliving every moment in my mind burned forever. Sitting in silence a moment more before she finally spoke again drawing me back to the present.
"I had to kill my own son." She said softly, barely audible as if she uttered those words her entire shell would crack to pieces.
"I am sorry for your loss." I said not knowing what to say.
"Don't be, it was kind of like your situation. Minus the melding and killing part. But there was still killing and I couldn't stand to let the monstrous behavior continue."
"Would you mind telling me the story?" I asked.
Shepard's POV
After talking to Thanes old contact we learned his son had taken a contract for a turian politician. Always politics I thought to myself hearing Vi in my head
"Now remember, if there's politics involved there's is always something afoul."
Oh Vi if only you knew the half of what has been going on here lately, though honestly you probably do knowing you I thought as we tracked down the turain.
"You follow him from above and I'll do what I do best," Thane said "Disappear into the crowd." With that he vanished. I began following the turian from above watching him and oh look bribe money. Of course there was dirty money involved I thought to myself rolling my eyes and… shit where'd he go?
Grunt's POV
Ugh I'm being prodded by something, I smacked at it.
"Hey, watch it!" Kasumi said loudly. Opening my eyes I see her standing above me the low light instantly gave me a head ache and I thought I was going to puke as I sat up.
"Wha- what happened?" I said shaking my head trying to remember.
"You don't remember? Honestly I'm not surprised you and Vi really decreased our liquor stock last night." She said to me shaking her head.
"Heh that's right the drinking contest. Who won?"
"Who do you think?" She said pointing to the fact that I was sitting on the floor and Violet was nowhere in sight.
"That…damned woman won didn't she?" I said angrily.
"Yea she did, now if you don't mind escorting yourself out. I like my peace and quiet, your drunken snoring is getting to be too much," She said walking back over to her couch to read. I huffed myself back up.
"Where's the video recordings, there is no way she beat me! It's physically impossible" I said to the ships computer as I shuffled back to my room.
"Loading video log of last night's activities," EDI said
