My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark

She kept walking, her legs hurting, numbed. All of the snow was by mounts and mounts around her. She didn't know where she was, she wanted to leave, and she wanted to be in the South Pole as soon as possible. They both wanted. They wanted to be away from the world, from the guardians…from Pitch. The last they wanted was to die. She felt them behind her even if there was nothing. She saw a mountain, a very tall one, which was her safest place by now. She needed to keep them away from her, from her and her prisoner.

Jack lost count of the time left. Sophie was trembling like an earthquake; Jamie wrapped his arms around her on his lap to keep some warm between them. He put her a pair of bigger gloves and a scarf to cover her mouth for the same purpose. The white haired boy made a campfire with some wood left in the corner of the tiny place. The cottage was old, but solid, it was cold inside but it was colder outside, at least in here they could think about their next move but Pitch was still out with his nightmares, he was giving them orders, specific orders to find her and bring her to him. He hasn't answered his question; the Nightmare King was actually avoiding the simple mention of the topic.

Then they heard something, like a soft sound in the distance getting closer and closer to them. Then it passed like a wave of air to their ears, Jamie turned his head to one side and shrugged, Jack was about to stand up but Pitch came from the door as a shadow, he was precautious so the fire wouldn't die by the wind.

"What was that?" Jamie asked the tall man.

"I don't know. It's far from us, my nightmares will take care of it." He explained calmly. Jack stood up and pointed his staff to Pitch with burning eyes of anger, the three of them looked at him like with surprise, Pitch mostly.

"Until we have a plan to manage our move through this blizzard, you will tell me who is that girl causing this Eternal Winter." Jack wanted answers before the rest of the guardians could get their own version of the mess out there. Time was everything right now and he wanted to get everything from Pitch before another tragedy of any kind.

"As I said before…" Pitch placed himself just in front of Jack, the least he wanted was to give this brat his reasons and answer his questions. "This is none of your concern. I can deal with this all by myself." Even if he sounded so sure, so collected and serious, he thought that was a lie. Andrew was the only one who really could do something about her.

"Don't give me that. You know something and you don't want to tell us! It's time to spit the truth!" he pointed at his chin with the sparkling staff.

"You can't handle the truth…" he whispered quietly so Jacks couldn't hear.

"What did you say?" Jack asked aggressively.

But Pitch couldn't say anything; the whole cottage was torn from the ground. The blizzard was stronger than before; they only saw white in the distance, the snowflakes blurring the sight, thin wind almost scratching their faces. Pitch knew it was too much power. They tried to move, but a mount of snow caught their feet, burying half of their bodies in the pure cold snow.

"Now we have to survive this blizzard!" Jack said it to himself and the others with anger boiling in his stomach. He saw almost nothing, nothing but pure white and tiny snowflakes in his eyelashes and arms as he tried to hold his staff and blocking the wind crashing his face. He looked at Jamie and Sophie, both holding on for dear life to each other. Pitch was beside him a couple of steps away and just like him. He was buried in snow to the ribs.

"That's not a blizzard!" Pitch said to the rest, his arms were doing the same as Jack, trying to block the wind. "That's my daughter!"

Jack's eyes almost jumped out of their orbit, even Sophie heard and did the same, her brother too. "What?!" They asked at the same time, mouths fell open and then closed by the wind.

Pitch didn't pay attention to them. This was serious. She was gaining too much power, more from the ice than never before. With every wave of wind, came a whistle and a roar from the distance. Pitch called his nightmares and two of them appeared seconds later. Jack, Sophie and Jamie held the steed's strong neck, while they pull to remove them from the mount of snow, which was accumulating faster and faster. Pitch tried to gat out by himself, as a shadow, it was difficult but not impossible. The wind was a nuisance.

If someone could see her, they would think she was a witch. Her hands and body were moving along the wind she was creating from her bare hands. Turns and steps choreographed not as dance but as specific motion to keep the blizzard unbelievable strong. The massive snowflake was almost complete, she did a few more moves and she stood there, with arms wide open as she absorbed the snowflake, then she released the ice, another unstoppable wave of cold wind hit the surroundings. Frozen. Everything was frozen.

The wolves stood beside her, left and right covered by her loyal servants. They sense it. She and the other dark presence in her mind were doing this together, well just the dark presence was doing it, but their master agreed with her. She knew her trackers were near, or at least she thought about it. Her glowing eyes drop some tears; they were warm, so strange even with all the cold around her. They weren't this warm since she escaped. She was breathing with her mouth, she was tired. She kneeled in the cold ground as the wolves gathered around her. "That should be enough." She said, the woman who was trying to keep her promised to her prisoner, at least by now.

She started to walk, snapping her fingers to get the attention of her wolves to follow her, they did. Her sight was blurry but she didn't care, she was perfectly capable to climb down the mountain and keep moving. Once below the mountain, she still felt her legs heavy but like gelatin made, this body needed some rest as much as she wanted to be out of the guardian's hands.

She fell again in her knees, she had no time to complaining and the situation went from critic to dangerous, then to the point of no return. This was something of live and death. Things couldn't get worst.

"Anna!" she heard, echoes in the distance. She was wrong. She stood up and ran so fast her feet barely touched the ground.

She kept the rhythm of her marathon; the ice beneath was cracking, her breath freezing everything in her way, her wolves running beside to keep her safe. What she could hear was a sled, trots of a reindeer and the steady screaming of her name. Andrew was chasing her. The idea of Pitch telling him to follow her jumped into her mind, she forgot about him; it was so obvious and she was so stupid.

Her body betrayed her, her legs stopped and sled got near her escort. The wolves grunted and barked but Andrew didn't care. He got off of the sled and walked slowly to her, his arm trying uselessly to block the wind in his way, she was standing giving him the back, looking at her hands.

"Anna! You can't run from this!"

The prisoner begged for some last words to him. 'I think he deserves it, that's the least you can give him after all you've done.'

The white haired woman snapped her fingers in the dungeon, and the metal of the mouth dropped off.

When she turned around to see him, her eyes were glowing; he knew what it meant.

"Just tell mom and dad that I love them." She said stepping away from him, regretting everything, every single thing that went wrong in her life, and everything she did that cause him so much pain as well.

"You don't have to do this! You can't let her take control over your body!" he claimed as the wind hit his face.

'That's enough.' Said the other woman, switching places with the little girl and placing the piece of metal in her mouth against her will. The other kept quiet, she thought this was for the best, she will no longer bother anyone, not even Andrew, especially Andrew.

"You don't have the right to run away just like that!" Andrew took another step forward, the wolves were in their positions to attack but he just ignored them.

"Actually, I do. Anna gave me her permission to do what ever I want!"

She made a hard step in front of her, right between her and Andrew, the entire Ice cracked making a really horrible sound, Andrew lost balance but he manage to keep it. Anna was no longer in that body. "I'm running the show now, and this just the tip of the spear!" her hands fisted and then she let a blast of ice went to start the fight she needed.

Andrew avoided it by moving to the right; he kept doing the same as more blasts attacked him. Another step, and this time the spikes almost touch his face. She was smiling, and then she laughed at him. In her mind, Anna was crying, pleading for her to stop, but she was silenced, nobody could see her or listened to her. Andrew fell on his knees, his shoulder hit an ice wall, created by the blasts that didn't reached him before. The wolves were standing still, grunting, some of them sitting and waiting for orders. Andrew thought of another strategy but her laughing was unbelievably annoying, that wasn't Anna. He needed to take her home now. He took off his mask and started breathing the most thinner and colder air he ever felt; his dark brown hair was already a mess. He needed to talk to Anna, now.

"Anna! Listen to me, you told me to stay with you no matter what. Have you forgot everything that we've been through? Escaping like this makes you a traitor! What about our family? What about mom and dad? You don't love them anymore?" he pointed with words. "If you still love them then you have to come back!"

"Anna is not here. Leave a message after the new Eternal Winter." Then she stepped further, the ice spread until Andrew got up to avoid the tiny and pointy spikes of ice. He looked at her challenging her gaze, he felt like Anna was in real pain for this.

"That is the body of my sister! Get the hell out of there!" He groan holding his shoulder, hurting so much it was the only heat he felt. "You have to fight, sis! You can stop this, all of this!" he pointed at the storm behind him, and then stepping forward, the wolves were about to attack. "This is your life! All the mistakes you did are yours and that's it! You can block her, you just have to fight!"

The girl just listened, it was cute to see how much these brother and sister love each other, she laughed hysterically at him.

"Nice try, pretty boy. But guess what? She stopped fighting even before she knew how to eject me."

"That's no true. Anna, I know you can hear me, come out and stop. You are the only one who can do it. Remember what dad said? Don't think, just feel it. " Another blast came, he slipped but it didn't reached him. "Anna!" His last try. He reached inside of his pocket before another blast, then he showed her a tiny item that seem to sing sweetly as the wind made the two ice flowers to clash. They were tiny but Anna saw them, the white haired woman didi it too. "You owe them! You owe me a big one as well. Take responsibility for what you did. Face it instead of running away!" He tossed the necklace to her and she grabbed it.

A flash inside her mind went through as the images gathered in the mirror of the dungeon. Every laugh, every tear and every feeling of love and sadness was mixing inside of her heart to make way of the most painful feeling of all. Regret, followed by a guilt so heavy it made her chest hurt and the warm tears coming back.

The black haired girl stood up proudly, her eyes filled with rage and a bright determination while the handcuffs were covering with her ice, which burnt the metal as soon as it covered the entire material. The same went for the piece in her mouth. The other woman was in front of her, observing in horror how fast those powers were working with the little girl. The metal fell, and the grown up gasp in terror. The black haired girl held the throat of the other and raised her against the stone wall. 'This is my body. These are my powers. That is my brother. And you are no longer in charge here!'

Andrew saw her screaming in pain, holding her head and kneeling in the ice. The storm went suddenly soft, the snow flew but it wasn't so strong and problematic as before. The wolves moved their sights to their master, gathering around until Andrew rushed taking her shoulders just to see grey pale eyes. Anna was here again. He smiled and hugged her while laughing with nothing but joy.

"I knew you could do it." He whispered in her ear, he felt her breath cold but nice.

"At least you knew it." She answered in relief.

He let her take some air wiping some tears away from her face; he wondered why she was crying. Then she looked at him straight in the eyes, his sapphire eyes. She seemed disturbed.

"Andrew I can't go home." She sentenced. " I just can't!"

"What? Why?"

The nightmares were putting much more efforts in the fight than ever before. Jack was protecting Jamie and Sophie while fighting the steeds. They tried to make their way through the now weak storm, but the two steeds kept blocking their way. Jack couldn't fly away and carry his friends, he would only fly slower and the nightmares could easily crash them against the ice.

In the moment the wild blizzard became weak, Pitch them behind making dark sand swirling from his hands to the ice. "Have fun with them." Said as well to his nightmares and the teenagers with the little blonde. He no longer needed Jamie or Sophie, not when he just confessed the truth. He couldn't help it. The way they called her made him snap.

He made his way through the storm with Onyx, the wind was weak but it still could gain strength again. He rushed. Pitch needed to see if she was completely aware of her doings after making the storm weak.

Cold and Dark

In other circumstances he would have been doing his rounds in the houses of the children, collecting fear to keep his well being away from extinction. Pitch was impatient, he wasn't making his rounds, instead of doing them, he was walking smoothly but worried in the carpet of the hallway as the painful moaning and screaming made his heart sink and jump at the same time. He stopped taking a deep breathe and then he sat in the chair the trolls brought when they told him to wait right there, he didn't know how much time has passed but it didn't care. He looked at the door noticing tiny traces of ice below of it, sparkling came out when another scream made its way to his ears. Pitch began to move his ring away from his finger; he placed it again rolling it to have something to do while he waited. The strawberry-blonde princess came out of the room looking for him; he stood up and walked to her.

"How is she?" he asked desperately. Anna was wearing gloves and her usual braids which were dusted with snow, her simple green dress with long sleeves was covered in some snow too.

"It's a disaster of ice and blasts and she almost broke my wrist and-you should really wait here a bit more." She said quickly while getting rid of the snow in her hair and clothes. "But she's fine, the trolls said it's almost over." Pitch walked to the door but she stopped using her arm like a barrier. "Pitch, Elsa is unstable right now. She's making the Eternal Winter the size of the room. The trolls told me to get out. You have to stay here too until it's over." She almost ordered him, her index finger pointing at his nose to make him withdraw to the chair.

"I have to be there. With Elsa." He said trying to keep calm while wrapping her arm to let him pass.

"Oh, no. You can't. They say is dangerous."

"I don't care!"

Anna jumped onto his back clinging like a monkey. When Pitch made her drop she kept his arm and began to pull; he wondered when did she start to be able to do this. He could remember that she saw him when Elsa introduced him to her, Anna couldn't touch him but she could see him. Now she was pulling him to go back to wait in the bloody chair while his wife was giving birth to his child and making a snowy damage in that room. Both kept struggling, Pitch wanting his arm back and Anna trying to get him back to be patient and wait for Gran Pabbie. Every time they pulled Elsa's screaming got to their nerves to pull harder. The screaming stopped with a soft gasp; Pitch and Anna stopped immediately their motions when the sound a little crying appeared. The Nightmare king took advantage and snatched his arm out of Anna's grip, and then he rushed to the door to open it.

"It's a boy." Said quietly the lady troll that came out of the door, making a tiny smiling showing her teeth. Pitch's jaw wanted to fell at the floor. The lady troll gave the baby to him; he kneeled nervously with hands shaking. 'He's so tiny.' It was the only thing he articulates in his mind when the baby covered with blankets reached his hands. "She's resting but she's-" He didn't listened to her so he just passed her to see if Elsa was fine.

The entire bathroom was completely white and the snow barely falling was solid and sparkling, there was ice in the room and in the curtains. Anna entered with him and took the baby in her arms, giving him a nod that he understood as an approval to go to her sister. Pitch did and kneeled beside Elsa's bed just to find her unbelievably tired and working her breath to be normal again, still gasping a few times before he took her hand. Anna held the baby as it started to cry again, so she just carrying him in the entrance to give the couple a bit a privacy and some time. Pitch noticed something unusual, Elsa's hair wasn't covered in snow, her cheeks were really pale and her lips were dry. When she opened her eyes her lips curved in a sweet smile with a tender gaze, Pitch brushed a strand of hair out of her face and then rubbed his thumb to her cheek, she wasn't getting colder.

"Where's the baby?" she asked, Pitch look at Ann in the corner. She was holding him tightly but gently while moving side to side to calm him a bit, which it worked. "He's ok, Anna's with him." He said tightening his grip on her hand, she wasn't cold and it was alarming him.

"Pitch." Said Anna with the baby already sleeping. Gran Pabbie was at her side, the troll entered the room and stood in front of the Nightmare King.

"I think you already noticed." Gran Pabbie said, his tone was low and that only made it worst. "She's very weak…and…" the roll sighed, he didn't want to say it but he gained strength and spoke. "Look, giving birth of a child with powers, especially these sorts of powers, it is very hard. Elsa's body and forces couldn't handle it." He said gesturing at all the snow and ice in the room, it looked like an ice cave.

"But you can help he.r" Pitch pointed with a sure tone. He knows how this troll helped Anna the first time.

"I can't." he sentenced. "…Actually, I'm very surprise of how hard she's trying." Elsa's eyes were closing again, but she kept herself awake listening everything Gran Pabbie said. She also felt Pitch's hand shaking, like chills running in his fingers and letting her know how worried he was. "I don't think she can make through this night." As Gran Pabbie finished, Anna and Pitch froze in their places. The troll left the room with a very sad expression, his head bowed down and steps heavier than ever. "I'm very sorry." He whispered in the door before abandon the room completely.

"But…" Anna couldn't even articulate a simple word after what Pabbie said. Pitch was the same; they didn't want to think in anything except a solution for this. Pitch came closer to Elsa, her eyes open but empty.

"It's ok…"She managed to say. Elsa was tired but her hand reached out to caress her husband's cheeks, when she stared at his eyes they were watery, full of anger and sadness switching places like he couldn't decide how to feel about this situation that started to be one of the greatest day of their life. Now it was horrible for the two of them. But Elsa knew very well, Pitch wasn't just going to stay there and wait for her life to be drained off of her body. She knew him so well this was actually the beginning of something.

Pitch took her hand and placed it on her chest, he was angry and Elsa didn't want to see him like that in this moment. He raised his eyes at the window across the room, the balcony illuminated by the silver rays of the full moon. "You…"he hissed, Elsa listened and knew what was. "You just couldn't leave us, could you?" He stood up but she grabbed his hand to stop. "This isn't his fault." She pointed.

"No, but I know he is enjoying it." He whispered acidly, dropping her hand and walking angrily to the balcony. Elsa closed her eyes and sighed in some kind of annoyance. "He is probably thankful that this has to happened to me. To Us. I don't care if it his is or isn't his fault, I'm not going to let this happen to you, not now."

"Pitch…it's ok. I kind of had this feeling when we talked about having our own children." That was confession, a very bad one, especially in a moment like this. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you. But I was worry about how would you going to react."

"You can't be serious." He said focusing the conversation on the real problem. He got back to his side, taking her hand and curling his fingers in hers, looking above to her face as his other hand was placed on her cheek. "You can't do this, I forbid it!" he ordered but she only laughed weakly. "You can't do this to me. You promise you'll never do it. You can't…you can't leave alone." He hardly could breathe against her. That last one made tears forming in the corner of Elsa's eyes. "I-I'll figure out something, I just need a bit of time. Maybe Lilith can do something. I'll-" he stopped at the sight of Elsa falling sleep, her breathe slowly leaving her open mouth as her chest moved erratic fighting for air. "No, no, no!"

"Elsa!" Anna rushed to them and looked still carrying the baby, which almost woke up.

Pitch held her face gently with both hands, searching in her eyes a bit of light but there wasn't any of it. Elsa felt weak, it happened to quickly that she didn't noticed, like a dream waiting to take at the first sign she could give in. She was giving up just as Gran Pabbie said. But Pitch didn't want to give up. He didn't want to let her go again.

Pitch tried to remain in calm taking her hand one more time, staring at her eyes while they were still open. "Elsa, listen to me. Just keep focus on my voice." He ordered, as he felt scared for the first time since he met her. "I need you to use your magic one more time. Redirect all the ice of the room to your heart."

Anna widened her eyes. "What? That'll only kill her faster." she commented. "What are you trying to do?"

"Saving my wife and your sister. Step back!" his sand began to swirl around Anna and it took her out if the room, the same sand closed and locked the door. "Pitch!" she was already protesting.

The King looked at Elsa, she was doing anything but breathing, holding a little for dear life and deciding between give in for eternal sleep or keep living beside Pitch and her firstborn. "Elsa!" he called her, she wanted to speak but she was too tired to. She made one last magic trick, closing her eyes and focusing of the cold left in the room, feeling it. Pitch noticed the snowflakes taking fly and he began to do his tricks too. Both of his hands held Elsa's hands, his black sand appearing and swirling around their fingers until they moved to her arms. Elsa didn't question Pitch's words and did as she was told before her sister was expelled from the room.

The sand touched the snow, the combination began to crystalize in dark blue as it reached Elsa's chest to take the way to her heart. Anna was knocking, kicking and yelling for the door to open. The baby began to cry again and the screaming trespassed the door, making Pitch's concentration more difficult. Elsa didn't feel the dark ice in her heart. She was leaving as the ice entered her system. Pitch felt it and made great efforts to quick the process, what he was doing was dangerous but he was desperate. He was left alone long ago and now he was about to be again too, he was willing to do something about it this time. The dark sand went for mounts until the ice couldn't fuse with it that fast, so the sand began to swirl around Elsa's body. The snow was falling from Elsa's strength, it wasn't enough, but Pitch kept doing his part. Then the snow moved faster as the Queen last piece of effort was making her feel numb, the snow and the sad worked faster to her heart. When Pitch stopped, Elsa did too, but she wasn't feeling different.

She finally gave in, relaxing, feeling nothing, not even Pitch's hand caressing her cheeks and testing her forehead with the back of his grey hand. He panicked internally. She wasn't cold or warm, she was…

"No!" Pitch ignored Anna's questions in the other side of the door, the baby was crying, screaming and it was awful as he looked at the stilled body of his wife. "Elsa!" He shook her from the shoulders a little, not doing much efforts in it. A wave of anger mixed with hate ran through his veins, reaching the hole where his heart suppose to be, the same place Elsa fill years ago even before he knew.

Pitch let go of her to place his hands in her heart, sending as much of his dark sand as he could. A huge mount of sand made its way to her heart, a blue ray of light blinded him as he continued with closed eyes, the sand combined with the ice kept working together. The rays of light fill the entire room surpassing the shining of the moon. When Pitch couldn't do it anymore he stopped seeing the blue rays disappeared little by little until it was completely dark. Elsa didn't move, her body lied still in the bed but nothing really changed.

Anna finally knocked down the door with a mighty kick, Kristoff stood behind her holding the baby, who was still crying and making everyone get on the nerves. When they entered the room, they couldn't believe their eyes. Pitch was sitting beside the bed on the floor, looking at the empty space but fixing his eyes on them. It seems that her entrance didn't bother him nor care for it at all. Anna and Kristoff looked at Elsa, her chest wasn't moving and the room wasn't covered by snow and ice as she remembered. "What happened?" she asked. Kristoff gave her the baby and walked further to the bed.

The King's hand reached to his head and he sort of began to hyperventilate, breathing slowly but shaking in the shoulders with teeth-like-fangs showing as the air came and went. "She's gone…" he articulated, Anna understood but it hurt too. She went to kneeled beside Elsa's bed with the little one in her arms. The crying didn't mattered although it was very loud. The princess placed the baby beside her sister's hand, in that way she could held the hand of her sister. It wasn't cold or warm and it was weird how it still looked pale. Anna gazed at the face, lips dry uncolored and hair splashing everywhere on the pillow. Her pale cheeks showing the tiny freckles on the nose…the soft pink was appearing in her cheeks and nose. The platinum blonde hair was sparkling with the traces of snowflakes. "Pitch" she called but he didn't moved, his shoulders were resting against the wood of the bed with eyes closed, like holding back every feeling it may caused more trouble.

The Snow Queen gasped so loudly Anna almost dropped the baby and the sound made Pitch open his eyes to confirm what he heard. Elsa's gasping were for sucking the air to her lungs, her eyes open ran to the persons she loved with all her heart. Anna's cheeks filled with tears of joy that before were of sadness, Kristoff dried with his arm some tears that almost fell from his eyes, The crying and screaming of the baby made Elsa reach her hands to grab him, to hold him towards her chest to see the little kid she brought to life. Anna gave her the kid and made some space for Pitch to be beside her, he reached her as soon as Anna moved away from the bed.

The two of them were happy, they couldn't describe how they felt. Pitch was smiling, he began to laugh with joy and relieved as his wife carried the baby in her arms, the crying decreased and now Elsa was the one crying. The Queen hushed the baby and Pitch could only observe, he didn't want to hurt this creature, his little boy. After a few hours of talking to each other and the baby who stopped crying, Elsa and her son fell asleep, Pitch didn't, Gran Pabbie called for him to talk about what he did, the troll wasn't happy at all for Pitch's doings.

"I saved her life. I prevent my son from growing up without his mother." he was whispering to avoid his wife and son awake.

"You broke the natural order of what should have happened here tonight." Pabbie was talking low but Pitch almost felt like he was yelling at him. "What you have done cannot be undone." he pointed at him like a criminal but Pitch only rolled his eyes and took a deep breathe to not argue with the troll. After all, Gran Pabbie was the one who made Pitch and Elsa's marriage possible. "You did not just saved Elsa's life, you made her an immortal just like you." he sentenced as he kept pouting at the Nightmare King, who fell in confusion. The oldest troll continued. "Your sand and her ice not only resurrected her from death, it made a thin but strong layer around her heart that will prevent her from die again. Like a coat made of ice and black sand to protect her heart. She will not die, and she will not age another day."

"You did what?"

"That's why I can't go back. He'll kill me!" Andrew gripped her shoulders a bit tighter, shaking her to pull herself together for god's sake.

"Doesn't matter what you did. He will understand. I know that." Andrew said, assuring her while she was holding back the tears.

"No, you don't. If he knows then I'm done. My only option is to escape, some place where I can be who I am without hurting anybody."

"Look, you haven't told him, meaning you have to do it because if dad knows this from some other then he will be furious. He taught us bare our doings no matter what."

Anna was hyperventilating, dripping tears and shivering. She was scared. Andrew only saw her like this few times.

"Hey, it's ok. I'll be with you in this. Like I always do." He said before taking her for another hug. Anna held him as she let her sadness come out. The storm was no longer there; it stopped sending one last wave before everything left still, like a pause in a camera. She could see perfectly just as Andrew, the wave kept extending until they lost it.

"Thanks." She said.

"C'mon, we are twins. that's what we do." He said with a smirk. "They care for one another." Anna smiled at his fact.

They stood up, Andrew helping his sister wiping her tears away and taking her hand to calm her a bit more. Her eyes were still grey, her hair still white but at least he could see her face perfectly now. She was curving her blue lips in a tiny grin. They made eye contact for a moment, Anna was confirming this was the reality instead of some other sick hallucination. They both froze in their place, eyes fixing in the empty space and quiet while they heard something. Sleigh bells. That rattle they never listened but pretty much figured how it could be. Andrew swung his blue eyes to the sky as Anna turned around to do the same. They fell in panic holding the urges to disappear. When they saw the shape of the bloody sleigh and the reindeers, they knew what to do…more or less.

"Run!" They said as they do. Andrew whistled and his reindeer follow him, they jumped in the sled while the wolves followed them. "Hi Anna!"

"Olaf?" the little snowman waved his stick hand and smiled brightly at her. "I'm so glad you are back." he said smiling.

"What is he doing here?" she asked while looking behind to see North's sleigh far from them, she could barely see the shadow shape of it.

"He wanted to come, I couldn't say no." He answered, doing the same as his sister. "Faster, Thor!"

The sled went faster, nothing was for sure.

'Fight. Fight the guardians.'

The voices were back, the echoes made her head hurt and the pain in the back of her brain came back as well. 'Fight. Fight. Fight. Fight!' Anna flinched, Olaf saw her but the she pointed at some place at her right, a very strategic one.

"There is cave! Go there1" But Andrew didn't listened. Anna snatched the leather ropes of the reindeer from her brother's hands and pulled them to change the trend.

"What are you doing?" he asked trying to take them again, but she managed to keep it.

"Just trust me!"

The sled crash into something tiny that made everyone hit the ground ice, the reindeer as well. Andrew held his head as his sister, Olaf took a moment to make his upper body fit again with his butt, which was already walking by itself. "You were saying." Hissed her bother. They heard the other sleigh very close, when they stood up to keep running the sleigh was already on the ice ground. North came out first, they were all right in front of the twins. They were exactly like their father told them so many times. The twins ran to the cave with Thor carrying Olaf in his back, her wolves barking to scare North's reindeers as they complained and snorted at them. It was chaos already.

"Go Anna!" said her brother pushing her into the ice cave; she stopped to see what other madness would he do. Andrew pulled out a pair of swords when he saw Father Christmas preparing his to fight. "Run, I'll distract them!" This was those times, those times when Andrew needed a talk with his sister and the rest of the family about his obsession of being the only one without powers in the legacy.

"I'll take car of this one!" North yelled almost happily as he laughed.

"Be careful North!" said the feathery woman.

"Go!" he said to Anna right before Easter Bunny passed him like a flurry, the Tooth Fairy flew right above of his head. The crashing of the swords began, Andrew never felt more alive before. "Anna! You have some company!" he managed to say as North and him repeated the motion.

Anna kept running until she got to an anteroom inside the cave with another tunnel ahead, Bunny and Tooth were almost on her. Thor and Olaf reached the exit. She stopped in the middle of the ice room facing the mythical creatures that almost destroy her father; she felt anger running through her veins. Tooth Fairy held a pair of blades with a pronounced curve ant the end; Bunnymund was using a pair of wooden boomerangs and colored eggs in his diagonal belt. Both of them prepared to fight.

"No. Please." She said shielding herself with her pale hands in front, begging and very scared. The two guardians almost believed that. Bunny sent a boomerang to her and she blocked it from her upper body with her arms, closing her eyes and holding her breath. When she looked, the boomerang was stuck in a vertical spike that protected her. She was protecting herself although she didn't want to fight them.

"Get her, Tooth!" Bunny moved to one side, finding a good angle to throw away the other boomerang without getting stuck. "I'm coming!" the fairy held her blades moving to the opposite side, flying slowly closer to her. "Stay away!" Anna screamed sending a blast with both hands to the fairy and the Easter Bunny while they were still close to each other. She sighed and relaxed her body and hands, she hoped they would stop after that but they didn't. Instead, they kept moving to get closer and corner her. As soon as she noticed that in their eyes and the way the feathers in Tooth's head began to twitch, she sent the next blast that turned into a spike like the first one. She sent another, and another, and another, she hold back most of her powers but the feeling of fighting this guys was making her scared of not knowing what to do to escape, all anger was almost gone.

Andrew was a very good sword man, even if he couldn't do ice or dark sand from his bare hand or send frost and spikes from his feet, the swords were his best and he was on the top of the competition, he wasn't tired although North's movements were good as well, every clank and clash the sword made were like music to his ears. One slash was too close so he ducked and rolled on his side as he stabbed one sword in the ice to attack at the back with the other blade, but North stopped him with the other sword laughing even more.

"Impressive!" Said the jolly Cossack when he stopped Andrew's sword. "You fight well, for a young boy." Said North a bit sarcastic with his hard accent; Andrew laugh at the mistake in his words.

"Wish I said the same for you!" He said as the swords clash, Andrew seemed to enjoy it.

"What do you mean?" asked North following the movements.

"I was expecting more!" as he answered he scrape the ice with one sword in front of the old guardian, North jumped a little and then Andrew thrust the other in North's face, but the older man hooked the sword by blocking the way with his two blades. The young didn't wait and tried to do the same with his free sword, but North let go of the first blade to throw him to the ground making him roll over the ice. Andrew didn't wait and he stood up, blocking the pair of sword against his like North did before to him.

"Let us help, she is the one making half of the world face an Eternal Winter." Said North trying to explain the young boy how grave was the situation. "We only want to stop her."

"And how exactly are you going to do that? You'll lock her away? Just like you did to Pitch?" North seemed confuse.

"How did you know about Pitch?" When he finished his question Andrew copied the same movement North did to roll him on the ice. North stayed in the ice as the boy was holding up his swords, pointing at North and looking at him with eyes full of nothing but hate, deep hate.

"Doesn't matter. She is my sister, and you will not hurt her!" Andrew turned away and ran to the cave. North didn't notice and he cursed in hi mother tongue for being so careless.

The Easter Bunny and Tooth Fairy were finally separated; he was at Anna's right side and the fairy at her left. They understood that she will attack if they wanted to get closer, the best they could do was attacking from long distance. Anna knew this and so she was turning her head to both sides to see who will make the first move, they moved slowly at the edges of the ice walls.

'Fight. Fight. Fight!' she heard in her head again, this was too much to handle by herself. Tooth approached to her with both curvy blades pointing at her. 'Fight!'

"Leave me alone!" she didn't know if this was for the fairy or the voices, but Anna didn't hesitate and sent a massive blast making spikes from the ground to cage the fairy against the wall as they kept her body on the air. One last spike grew pointing between her neck and chin. Tooth gasped barely knowing how that happened. Bunnymund prepared himself; Anna sensed it without turning her head and waited a second. When he stepped further she sent a ice wave to unbalance him, he was about to run to his right but she blocked the was with making an ice-wall-spiked while holding her left hand to keep the fairy incapable of helping him. Anna made another wall at his left and then she formed another that she could move further to him, Bunny seemed trapped and he struggled to push the wall she was making to crash him. The thin ice in Bunny's back shattered and now he was trying to prevent the wall from pushing him to the empty dark void of that cave.

'Finish them!' she heard again, she squinted her eyes in annoyance. 'Finish them!' The spike in Tooth's neck barely moved. 'They nearly kill your dad. They deserve the same, now finish them!' She struggled against those voices, thinking on what to do next now that they were busy with other things. 'No running this time! If you finish them, Pitch won't kill you.' They said and she opened her eyes a little after that idea. 'If you finish them he will not kill you, because you did his job." Her eyes turned into a glowing white. She pushed the ice wall harder; the spike was moving agonizingly slowly to reach Tooth's neck.

Andrew entered the anteroom; he stopped right in the entrance to see the whole scene clearly. He panicked at his sister. "Anna!" he called her, but she didn't listened, she heard him but she ignored his voice. "Don't be the monster they fear you are!" he protested walking slowly to her. Anna looked at him with anger glowing eyes, but then the glowing disappeared and her grey eyes remained as she stopped her motions as well. No ice came from both of her hands. "Stop this, let's get out of here, North is almost here." He said approaching to her, he took her shoulder and then lead her to the next tunnel.

They ran again, finding the end of the tunnel to another ground made of ice where Thor, Olaf and the rest of the wolves were waiting for them. "C'mon we're almost there!" said Olaf when the twins joined them to the marathon. Anna stopped when they all started to run, she couldn't feel her legs again, her forces were fading and her heart couldn't take it any longer. Andrew rushed to her and then they saw the guardians some meters away from them. The wolves jumped forward, grunting and crouched to wait for orders. "Anna, come here I'll carry you." He suggested. "No, you won't bare mine and your weight." She said before he could kneel. Andrew pulled his swords out again and Anna made a wave to the leader Odin to step back. They'll have to fight, or make some time before running again. Anna couldn't make anything to get them out of there, her powers were stills unstable, those walls and spikes were just basic movements of combat.

The twins assumed combat positions as the wolves drew back to be the second defensive brigade, right behind their master.

The siblings waited, the guardians started to run into them while screaming as North pointed to attack. A dark liquid appeared and then Pitch took his human form bringing out his great black scythe, the twins stopped as Pitch attacked the guardians swinging his weapon side to side and making them step back, Tooth flew to the boys and Pitch made a couple of steeds to deal with her. The scythe barely touched North's swords, and Bunny's boomerang barely reached Pitch as he avoided the wooden weapon. Tooth Fairy went back to North's side seeing the way trough the white haired girl was blocked, Bunny slipped in the ice and then Pitch stabbed the ice in front them as a warning.

"Step away from them." He hissed with angry looks, teeth showing like fangs and his steeds at his sides snorting and fixing their eyes on them. Pitch turned his head a little to his back. "Are you hurt?" the twins sighed in relief shaking their heads, Pitch relaxed a bit confirming quickly their appearences. Bunny took his chance and hit Pitch's shoulder with a foot, the King loose balance and let go of his weapon as he sat in the ice.

Anna sent a blast to Bunny as the ice spread to keep his entire leg in the ice. "Ah! Cold!" Bunny said scratching the ice to free his leg. Tooth went for her with her blades but Andrew blocked her with his swords. Anna sent a wave of blasts with both hands to the fairy as she kept herself out of the girl's reach. A golden ray of light rained from the grey sky, showing the Sandman above in his golden sand cloud. Jamie, Sophie and Jack came out of it, the winter spirit had piercing blue angry eyes, then he hit his staff on the ice and made it tremble, making everyone stop any muscle. "That's enough!" he said. As soon as he saw Pitch he went for him with the staff already sparkling in his hands, Anna shelter Pitch prepare to do some magic again. "What are you doing Elsa? He is the enemy!" He pointed at the King. Jamie and his sister felt in silent and just observed, as they understood how serious this was.

"No, she attacked us. She is the enemy!" Said Bunny still wanting his leg back. Anna snapped her fingers and the ice shattered as Bunny fell on the ground when he pulled the last time his leg.

"Wait... everybody just calm down, ok? We said we would talk to her to know if she was doing all of this on purpose." Said the Tooth Fairy between everyone to avoid another round of blasts from the girl. She wasn't flying this time. "Let's give Elsa the chance to explain why did she isolated half of the world in the Eternal Winter." Tooth tried to calm but the tension with everyone in just one place was getting harder and harder as Pitch's gaze was on them thinking how to get rid of this problem.

Pitch got up, taking Anna by the shoulders and then putting her and Andrew behind him. "She doesn't have to explain anything. The storm is over, that should be enough for all ofyou." He pointed at the sky then placing his hands on his back. "It's over."

"It's not over until she tell us why did she do it." North objected, guarding his swords on his belt hoping the young boy would do the same, he did. "It's just to make sure it won't happen again. If it does, then will have to take care of it again."

Andrew held back a comment, he didn't like the last part but right now the important issue was how to get out of there without saying a word. Pitch shook his head, Anna placed herself in front of Pitch between the guardians but he gripped her arm. "You don't have to do this. You owe them nothing."

"So as you. They'll not leave us alone from now on and you now that." She competed with his gaze, then he let go of her, he stood still regretting what was about to come. Pitch wanted this to be a secret, his personal secret that made his very existence worthwhile but that was about to end.

"First of all, I'm not Elsa. My name is Anna, Princess Anna." She said bowing her head and taking her cloak to bare the nervousness, she never had the need to introduce herself to anyone like this. Jack then took a look at her, her chin was tiny, unlike Elsa's and she didin't have freckles in the cheeks and nose like the Anna he barely knew, he put the color of the hair and lips aside, but the accent she was speaking with was very elegant and sophisticated like Pitch's.

"Ah, you still have white all over you." Said Andrew to help her with the introduction, thinking that Jack already confused her with Elsa's sister. "Oh, sorry." She said looking at her clothing. "And I think you want the rest of the ice and snow to go away." She said with a shy smile. Sandy only nodded.

Anna rose her arms a little and then sighed in relief, she lifted slowly and gracefully her arms closing her eyes, smiling, feeling free as she remembered the voices were off. The ice beneath everybody's feet seemed to dance until it were flying, the same happened all around them, every place her ice touched were doing the same thing. Their eyes focused on how the snow took the highest place on the sky with mouths open and eyes wide as flat plates, Tooth was smiling with her mouth open like if she was appreciating fireworks, North murmured something in Russian to show how impressed he was, Bunny was in disbelief of how great this kind of magic was, cold but beautiful magic, Sandy was looking the late snowflakes so tiny still taking fly, just like Sophie, Jamie only thought about what others things this girl could do to amaze him and the guardians.

All the snow gathered high in the sky and it formed a giant snowflake; no one averted his or her eyes from it. Anna clasped softly her hands above her hair and then broke apart the hold of them, which made the massive snow become nothing but thin air. Pitch couldn't be prouder; he smiled at the entire process until it was done.

When everybody turned eyes at her, they all gasped in surprise. Anna changed drastically when all the snow and ice disappeared. Jamie couldn't believe it, no one could. Her skin was pale like a porcelain doll you see only in old Victorian movies with soft pink on her cheeks and nose, her eyes were some kind of golden-silver irises it were exactly like Pitch's eyes, her lips remain fresh blueberry but that was not the only blue in her; her hair, wavy and sparkled by some tiny snowflakes was a very dark blue it almost hit to be black. Her out fit changed too, her cloak was black almost transparent, covering her magenta steamer with fluffy bustle long pants, black fluffy bustle sleeves as the boots and the ice belt; there was fur in black covering the base of her neck and some more warming her shoulders. Everybody fell in silent as Pitch and Andrew stepped forward beside her; the attention was still on Anna.

"She is my twin sister, Anna. My name is Andrew. And we are Pitch and Elsa's children." He sentenced cutting his father's words off. Pitch closed his eyes in annoyance feeling everybody's eyes on him. This was exactly what he wanted to avoid in the first place, and it just start. Andrew continued to help his dad. "Look, my sister did this because she lost control of her powers. It was an accident, that's all."

Tooth placed her fingers in her mouth to prevent her jaw from falling, Bunny was mute and North was scratching the back of hid neck and then under his hat without making it fall, Sandy made thousands of tiny question signs above his head and turned to look at Anna, then Andrew and finally Pitch. Jack was completely mute as Jamie and Sophie shared some confusing look as they stared at the three of them.

"So…" Tooth began. "You and Elsa…" she pointed at him like a child learning with wooden cards what is a dog and what is cat. "And they…" she then pointed at the twins. "But they're so…"

"Unlike to each other." Finished North saying what everyone thought but didn't want to say out loud. Anna and her brother rolled eyes, they wanted to speak but their father cut them out before taking air to explain the litany of their differences.

"Yes, they are. Andrew doesn't have powers and Anna has both." He said like that would be enough for them to understand and then he got closer to her and took her shoulders to make eye contact. "Now. What happen in the North Mountain?" he asked, that made Anna's heart twitch and crack so hard she felt the air of her lungs getting away. Suddenly, it was snowing, but just above her as her eyes were fixing in the empty space. "Anna, why were you escaping from me?" Pitch wasn't angry, he was just serious and worried about Anna's reasons, and he knows she's never been like this before.

"Dad…she remembers..." Andrew said resting his hand in his dad's shoulders. Anna's eyes were flooding in new tears as they ran down her pink cheeks. "Anna remembers…everything." The simple mention of the last part made Pitch look back at his son, then he felt Anna's hands on his arms, they began to run up seeking the shoulders because her legs were still hurting and the past events made her feel dizzy.

"Dad, I…I…" she couldn't tell him. But she needed to; the guilt and the feel of sadness were breaking her heart and the snow above her fell by mounts, like the beginning of the storm. She gained all her efforts left and breathe deeply before speaking. "Dad…I think killed mom."
