Meeting with the Blacks…

"The North Mountain…at last." Tooth spoke with amaze in a quite voice. They all were in the way to see Elsa and confirm what Anna said she'd done. There was still a long path ahead. "Why don't we keep moving on the sleigh?" she asked to Pitch, who was getting down of his horse, Onyx. He was holding Anna and she was holding onto him so firmly her nails were digging in his cloak and flesh, everyone could see it; yet everyone could see the regret in her watery eyes and the flurry above her head, despite the fact she was making a great effort to keep another blizzard in the edge of her emotions.

"Leave the sleigh here. We're moving by feet." Pitch commanded them as if they were his soldiers, but nobody listened to him and North's sleigh moved further. "What did I just said? Leave that thing here."

"Why? Is not like your children are scared of them." Said North looking doubly at Andrew. He was still digesting the idea of Pitch having children of his own, like the rest of the group; actual children growing up and yet knowing what his dad must do every night to keep himself alive while caring enough for them to almost cut Bunny's leg. Andrew was getting out of his sleigh but leading the reindeer to follow his father. "If there is another inconvenient then you can tell us. I think there's nothing else you have to hide, now is it?"

"It's not the sleigh, Cossack." Andrew answered turning to look at him. "Actually I think I can do some upgrades to it. But you have to leave it here because the trolls are probably there and, believe me, they get excited and playful with all kinds of wonders like that beauty."

North's mouth literally was touching his feet. That boy, Pitch's son called his sleigh a beauty, Bunny was getting a heart attack while Jamie and Sophie giggled a little in Sandman's golden cloud. Apparently the boy liked the sleigh but he said upgrades? What kind of upgrades? North like it in this way. Everyone got off the sleigh and the jolly man let his reindeers unleashed so they would not get bore while he was gone. Suddenly, Jack joined Jamie and Sophie since there was some free space.

Pitch didn't like the guardians to enter in the North Mountain, but if things were this bad at home…well… He only wanted to know if his wife was ok, but unfortunately, he also had to be careful so that the guardians would not find any another of his secrets, those ho gave them a taste of happiness through the last centuries.

They began to walk deeper in the forest, all covered in snow and little crystals made music as Andrew's reindeer, Thor, was playing with them, Sophie did the same in his brother's shoulders. Pitch was still carrying his daughter, helping her to keep her control as much as she could. He knew she was being tormented by the voices again just by feeling the stiffness in her body and looking at her distant gaze. He only needed to talk to everyone to know how did she manage to get her memories back and almost kill her mother.

According to Pabbie, Elsa was immortal since the night she almost die giving birth, he helped resurrecting her and ended making her a mythical creature; it seemed like the process Man in the Moon made to Jack but he did it with black sand and Elsa's ice, resulting in a coat around her heart to keep her alive but avoiding the years to be seen in her face or body. He never regretted any of what happened that night, he only regretted not keeping the promises that came later.

When they reached to a giant wall Pitch just kept walking through it, the rest did the same hopping they could enter without awful surprises waiting for them. They saw the ice castle after passing through the wall. It was exactly like Jack remembered it. Jamie and Sophie were amazed as it would be any other who would not know of such iced magnificent. Pitch didn't say they couldn't enter in the castle so they just kept going.

The living room had furniture, like royal furniture made of ice, curtains, fancy couch and a little table in the center…it was a little minimalistic too. The windows were open; Jack remembered they were closed when he visited Elsa the last time. Andrew made a signal so that they could wait there while his father and sister evaluate the situation so that they could see if they still wanted them to help.

Some trolls came down from the stairs in a rush; someone else followed them. A shadow took formed and North thought he was about to faint.

The woman that followed the trolls stood still in the stairs after noticing the guardians and pair humans. Her skin was ashy, she had slim curvy figure, slim in a dark dress with a slit that reached the middle of her leg, a part of it could see through a little in her ankles, showing off some black fancy high heels shoes. Her eyes were pale grey with a hint of gold; her hair was short, with wavy strands barely falling over her delicate exposed shoulders. Her dark red lips were making disgusted gesture while her orbs focused on the guardians.

"Dad, what are they doing here?" her accent was sophisticated; bit harsh in the tone but her voice was still sweet.

"Oh, great! More siblings!" Said Bunnymud, barely believing it himself. Everyone was silent while looking at Pitch, and then the new arrival met eyes with Anna.

"What? Anna?" she rushed past the trolls and help Pitch, putting Anna's feet on the ground without collapsing. "Where were you? Soren and I were so worried. We didn't know what to do when you disappeared."

"Don't bother, Lily…" Said Anna facing the floor, speaking quietly. "I already know how you guys feel about me. Please, stop."

Jamie grew curious about this, this family…Anna gave him the feeling that her family was kind of broken, and maybe…she thought it was because of her.

"You don't need me. Go help mom. I've already done enough." And after Anna said that she moved away from his father rushed to the stairs.

Lily followed her, dissolving herself in a shadow but she wasn't so fast. Tooth rose above enough to see that Anna locked herself in her room and found the older sister knocking desperately. Everyone followed them up stairs and only Jamie, Sophie and Jack stopped to see…Regina.

"C'mon, we don't have time for this. You have to be with her. You're the only one who can help and thaw her."

"Leave this to me." Said Andrew behind her. "Hey, sis, it's not like before." He told to his older sister. "Go with dad so he can see how is mom doing. He seems a bit pissed with us for not telling him."

Lily nodded and rushed up stairs, but stopped above of the trio that were with Andrew "The rest of you will wait here. Specially you, Frost." She pointed at him with aggressiveness in her face. "We don't trust you after what you said about mom and dad. And if you dare to come any closer to her…I'm going to smash that pretty face on the ground so many times that you won't be able to recognize yourself the next time you look a mirror."

After saying those words, Lily just left to reach the rest of the guardians. Jack felt the yes of his friends stabbing him, wondering just as much as they could since they didn't know what to think of all of this.

"Sis, open the door." They heard Andrew knocking calmly. "Look, I know you don't feel like talking or anything, but you have to go see mom." Silence. "Only you can help her, I wasn't here but I know that the trolls did everything they could and still…" another silence.

"Still what?" Asked Sophie getting closer to him. Andrew looked at her for a moment before looking at her brother and Jack.

He didn't say anything; he only could look at Jack with a deadly stare, a heavy silence. "Mom doesn't wake up. Her skin is blue like fresh ice, she is colder than ever before and her hair is pale white." He answered, but Jamie felt like he was only saying that exclusively to Jack.

The youngest guardian knew it, this boy wasn't going to talk if he was still there; Jack left up stairs, flying and leaving a few snowflakes behind. He saw a few trolls walking here and there, carrying little crystals of different colors; when he heard Tooth's wings closer and closer he found the rest of his friends. North, Bunny and Tooth fairy were in a hallway, close to a door with a Nordic pattern of snowflakes. All of them seemed like waiting. He landed on his feet beside of Bunnymud. "What's going on?" he asked to them, but before they could say anything, the door opened, showing the eldest troll of all. "Grand Pabbie!" North almost left everyone deaf.

"He said you could come in, but no questions. At least for him, you can ask me everything you want." He cleared and everyone nodded solemnly.

Every word that Andrew said back there was the truth. Elsa was laying on a king-size bed, face at peace, like sleeping but the tone of her skin was blue with big and tiny patterns of snowflakes made of traces of frost, white sparkling hair…she wasn't dead, it seemed more like she was sleeping, like when someone pass out and you have to wait for them to wake up, because you know they will wake up at some point. But Elsa was a deep sleep. Beside her was another person. A boy.

He was on his knees, sleeping while holding one of Elsa's hands, he looked in deep sleep too until everyone entered the room, then he wake up. He straighten himself when his sapphire eyes looked at Pitch. His hair was platinum blond, made in a up do style and matching his pale porcelain skin, his clothes were informal with no shoes and a simple silver t-shirt, with a dark blue jacket, combined with light blue iced jeans; he didn't seemed older than twenty-three or twenty-two years old. Pitch told him to stay quiet with a gesture, and the boy nodded with a determined face, but when he looked at Jack he just looked at him with…deception, but unlike the other girl, he focused his attention in Elsa, caressing her hand with his.

"How is she?" asked Toothtiana, getting a little closer to the bed.

"She's surprisingly fine, but it's weird. I've never seen something like this before." Answered Pabbie beside her, both looking at Elsa.

"This girl, Anna, she said that she…killed her mother." said North quietly getting closer to the eldest troll, implying the question.

"Well, she didn't. You see, Elsa is a special case above everything that I've seen." He continued. "Listen, after Elsa gave birth the first time, she was so weak I thought she wouldn't make it…and I was right. Elsa died but Pitch brought her back, and made her an immortal being just like him."

"Wait, wait. What? You mean that this Pitch Black actually brought her back to life?" Bunny almost wanted to scream but he contained his voice. And just as him, everybody was in some kind of shock; they couldn't believe it so they just…stared at him.

" It's the truth, thanks to his sand, Elsa's heart is protected and is incapable to suffer any damage."

"But if that's what made her immortal and is protecting her, then why is she like this?" Jack asked as he leaned to touch on of Elsa's hand, noticing she didn't changed at all after the big commotion she did at Arendelle in her coronation day. "Andrew was right. She's ice cold." He murmured.

"That's the weird thing here, after Anna stroke her with a blast of ice in her heart, it seem like the ice decided to plague the rest of the body after knowing that the heart was protected. Thus, Elsa's still alive, but she's so weak she can't even wake up after she was attacked."

"So…what's the deal with Anna, mate?" Bunny was the first to ask the troll what everyone was thinking but couldn't say out loud, so he did it, earning the stares of Pitch and his kids.

"That's a delicate matter. She's a wonderful girl, son kind." Pabbie said. "But as you could see, she doesn't have a very good control of herself right now."

"It'll be better in a minute. Our little sister is excellent at what she does. Her control is exquisite." Said Soren in the back with a trace of pride in his tone.

"Is it?" Asked bunny to the troll, trying as hard as possible to follow the rules.

"Of course, she learned from her mother and her father. But thanks to the fact that her powers are intrinsically connected with her emotions, is considered unacceptable for her to suppress them, either her powers or her emotions. And disasters have happen for that."

Anna tried so hard to stop thinking about what she did, it only made her feel miserable as the memories crawled back to her, even if she knew the disasters she made were in the past they still haunted her; her past actions were there, in the corner of her mind always waiting the exact moment of weakness to strike and affect her, affect her powers and to injure others, even her own family and now her mother was paying that price.

She could hear Andrew in the other side of the door, explaining to those humans. Even if she could not make any judgment, they seemed pretty nice, they didn't run away from her during the storm, which should count for something. But then she started thinking about what her father might be telling the guardians right now about her, and if it's not him, maybe the trolls were doing it, because yes, they had to help her and her family when she disgraced the only two people that loved her when her cousins called her a monster.

Maybe Pavie was already telling them, and just to be sure that they would understand so that maybe they could help, she needed to know what Pavie was telling them. She knew it was going to hurt, but she also needed to do something any grown up would do after such a long time: to suck it up.
