Doctor Who

Tada! (The John Smith Division)

"I think," The Doctor says slowly, "That we should talk this over, yeah?"
One by one, the men nod.
"Just don't hurt us." The leader says fearfully.
The Doctor looks at him questioningly, then pockets the sonic screwdriver.
"Oh, this? Battery's dead." He says with a grin.
"It runs on a battery?"
"A highly sophisticated, alien battery."
"Oh."
"So then, lets talk this over so I can go save the world. I say my name is Jack Smith from now on, and you stop hating me?"
"Sounds good to me." A ripple of assent goes through the crowd.
"Brilliant!"
