"Are you going to tell us what happened?" Fleamont asked his grandson. It was obvious Harry had been upset.
"No," Harry managed as abruptly left the room, his breakfast untouched.
"Did you think it was a good idea to question him at the bloody breakfast table?" Minerva questioned angrily.
"Minerva," Euphemia gasped suprised at the tone she directed at Fleamont.
"Minerva," Sirius tried again at the furious look on Minerva's face.
Minerva looked at him sharply. "Not a word," she threatened him. "You understand my dilemma somewhat or I wouldn't have spoken a word to you during that dance."
Sirius looked at her surprised. "We are all family," he tried. "Charlie and Rose aren't present."
"True," she retorted angrily. "However some situations need to remain silent from all others not involved. This is one of them Sirius Black! Harry needs what privacy he can be afforded." With that she rushed out after an upset Harry.
"What bloody happened?" James asked as he stared at the door his son and future daughter-in-law left from.
"That is not your concern," Death said in his chilling tone.
"Harry is obviously upset," Fleamont offered feeling frustrated at not being able to help his family.
"My Champion is," agreed Death. "However you have no need to learn any details regarding it. Champion's Heart is soothing his hurts as we speak."
"The family needs to help," Sirius argued passionately. "We are the ones that agreed to the Handfasting which probably led to Harry's magic being so insistent."
Death glared at Sirius for a moment before speaking, "You haven't forgotten the despair you felt from last timeline nor the overwhelming guilt at failing Harry. I commend you Sirius Black for your dedication to your godson. For that reason I will give you a hint of Champion's upset. You and Heart are very alike in situations yet so far apart. You are magically stronger than your younger soulmate while the Heart is not. Can you not guess what would cause the Champion to be this upset?"
Realization dawned on Sirius immediately, "Harry's magic hurt Minerva. She's the most important person to him and he's going mad with grief that he harmed her in someway."
"Champions's magic is completely matured and will overtake him when it comes to it's need of his soulmate. Not a word about this to my Champion or his Heart," Death threatened before disappearing from sight.
"No wonder Harry is so upset," Fleamont managed as he looked towards the door Harry had left.
"Minerva will sort him out," Euphemia tried to convince the entire family.
"How badly did Harry's magic hurt you," Sirius asked later that day.
Minerva looked suprised at the question before dropping her head and answering, "Just a couple of small bruises. The green of his eyes were overtaken by the gray of his magic by the time I made it to him. It scared me to see him so different."
"He must of been devastated when he realized what he was doing," Sirius replied sadly.
Minerva nodded her head. "Harry's magic wants to complete the soulbond immediately," she revealed. "Remind me to avoid dances with anyone other than family until the bond is finalized."
"The jealousy was his magic?" Sirius asked.
"It was," Minerva whispered. "Once the bond is finalized, I am confident that trait will disappear. His magic needs to be exhausted more. The exercises he used to do will no longer work."
"I have a plan," Sirius said thoughtfully. "I need to go speak will my pup."
Harry and Sirius returned to Potter Manor late that evening. "Where have you two been?" James asked.
"That's a secret from Min," Sirius answered with a smug grin as he looked at the witch in question.
Minerva raised her eyebrow in suprise. "That's why you muted the bond?" she asked Harry.
Harry nodded his head yes. "It's a suprise," he whispered as he tenderly pushed an errant curl behind her ear. "I will be doing that for a while," he warned.
"Sirius will be with you during those times?" Minerva questioned concerned for his safety.
"Or someone else in this room," he promised her.
Minerva nodded her head in understanding as Harry gently pressed a kiss to her jawline. Sirius rolled his eyes at the affection in public. "Harry will need to leave Hogwarts for a couple of evenings and possibly weekends this term," Sirius informed Minerva.
"Very well," she replied and inwardly sighed at the happiness radiating from her love. Sirius must of had a great idea!
Minerva watched Harry out the window with a smile. He was propped up against a tree with a sketch book on his knees. Hermione sat with him talking animated about whatever Harry was sketching.
"Harry seems more content," Euphemia offered as she peered out the window. "Whatever idea Sirius had must have appealed to Harry."
Minerva nodded in agreement. "He does seem content," Minerva answered. "Hermione is good at keeping him focused too."
"Is Harry recovered from his magic hurting you?" Euphemia questioned her as she eyed the witch carefully.
Minerva turned sharply to the elder witch. "Sirius told you?" she questioned angrily.
"He didn't have to," Euphemia stated tenderly. "That day in Diagon Alley when you swirled Harry and me up in magic I felt his magic. Harry's magic, even then, tried to claim you. I felt his emotions and wants stronger than I have ever felt anyone else's other than my own. It was overwhelmingly desperate to protect you. Harry has never been afraid of anything other than you being harmed in some way."
"Harry insisted on applying bruise paste to my injuries before he would calm down completely," Minerva whispered. "I can see a lingering worry in his eyes but whatever project Sirius has given him has eased his burden."
"Harry's magic tried to claim you," Euphemia stated as she stared at Minerva in pity.
Minerva closed her eyes and nodded her head. "His magic had changed his green eyes to dark gray," she offered emotionally. "My dress was seared down the middle by his magic and I had formed bruises before Harry managed to control it."
Euphemia stared at Minerva in shock. "Harry managed to stop his magic after it had already taken control and was trying to complete the soulbond," Euphemia exclaimed amazed. "Harry has been desperate for the soulbond to be finalized himself for years!"
"He realized I was in pain," Minerva admitted aloud for the first time since the incident occurred. "Harry will never stand by and allow me to be in pain if he can help it."
"Even from his own magic," Euphemia whispered in awe of her grandson's commitment to his future wife. "You are a very blessed witch Minerva McGonagall."
"I know," she whispered emotionally as she stared back out the window at Harry. "Harry loves me irrevocable. Not even death could separate us from one another."
