Minerva woke up alone in bed but wasn't bothered by it. She stretched much like her cat form would before taking in the room. Pale blue walls and white furniture. The canopy kingsize bed had thick gray bedding with paisley designs. The canopy itself sheer white and the frame a sturdy white wood. There was a small table with two chairs near the French doors leading out onto a balcony. She peereed out the glass and gasped in utter delight. A small stream in the middle of a lovely medow with the mountains in the distance. It was a lovely view!
Minerva turned back to look more at the room. A long white dresser with a mirror took up one wall. Pictures of them throughout the years sat atop it. She smiled at the images Harry chose. Bedside tables held antique lamps and a place of honor for their wands. She spied two doors. One across from the balcony she assumed was to the remainder of the cottage. The one nearest the dresser opened up to a small walk-in closet. Some of her clothes hung on the left while Harry's was on the right side. She walked through the closet and came to the master bathroom. His and her sinks with a large mirror above them. She noted Harry had stocked her preferred toiletries. The toliet was hidden in the corner while the sunken stone tub was dominant on the other side of the room. Harry apparently had shared baths in mind. She smiled when she saw the hidden shower in the corner.
Minerva made use of the facilities before snatching the plush tartan robe on a hook on the wall. She went back into the bedroom and walked to the other door she had spied earlier. A hallway led to stairs. Six additional bedrooms with small functional private baths lined the hall. She went down the wooden stairs and smiled at the Deathly Hallows symbols on the spindles.
A large kitchen with a large table, a study, a small library with a study built in back, a half bath, a laundry area and a large parlor made up the downstairs. She was immediately taken by the parlor. A large fireplace with couches across from it. A large rug in front of it and a small table in front of it. The walls a mixture between stone and warm colors. She saw empty shelves which drew her curiosity.
"Those are yours to fill," Harry said from the doorway. "This is our home and it's only fitting you make your own mark on it."
Minerva offered her a full smile and launched herself in his arms. "I love our home," she whispered.
"I'm certainly glad of it," he replied and kissed her lovingly. "Fancy a picnic?"
Minerva raised an eyebrow in suprise but quickly decided she wanted to go wherever he wanted when Harry nibbled on her bottom lip like that. She allowed her magic to swirl and dressed her in similar attire to Harry. "Always," she answered with a smile.
Minerva shrieked as Harry picked her up and tossed her in the deep part of the stream. He offered her a cocky grin before he joined her and kissed her heatedly. She decided rather quickly she needed more and with a wave of her hand stripped them both of all clothing. She wrapped her legs around Harry and immediately took him her in pulsing channel.
"Gods Min," he breathed as she smirked at him.
"Just love me," she demanded as she squeezed him internally. He did just that!
Minerva and Harry held hands as they entered Potter Manor for Euphemia's birthday dinner a few weeks after their wedding. They greeted their extended family including the Blacks, Lupins, Dagworth-Grangers, and Ross clan. It was the first time the newly weds had seen their families since their wedding reception.
"Well look who graced us with their presence," Sirius teased with a grin.
Minerva rolled her eyes at him before replying, "Are you through being childish?"
James and Remus were snorting in amusement at the back and forth banter between the two. They watched Sirius whisper something to Minerva who looked enraged and unintentionally shattered all of the windows in the room. Minerva looked horrified, Sirius looked terrified and Harry just chuckled before he waved his hand and righted the windows.
"What the bloody hell was that?" James asked in suprise.
"Min's got a power boost," Harry said with a shrug.
"Seems its a rather big magical boost," muttered Fleamont as he stared at the repaired windows in awe.
Minerva, who had recovered from her shock, nodded her head. "I have to sort this out before Hogwarts starts," she commented. "Who knows the damage I could do there?"
"I have confidence in you darling," Ida said as she hugged her granddaughter tightly.
"Thanks Gran," Minerva whispered and kissed her cheek tenderly.
Fleamont cleared his throat and gestured to the table groaning from the amount of food on it. "Shall we?" he said simply.
Harry tenderly helped scoot Minerva's chair in like the gentleman Euphemia made sure he became. The family and friends ate in merriment and chatted friendly until Harry became green and ran from the table. Minerva started to stand but was gently pushed back down by Poppy. "I shall check on him," she offered.
A few diagnostic spells had Poppy rather baffled and calling for Minerva. His wife entered concerned by the mediwitch's need to involve her. "Harry's symptoms and scans are impossible," she said. "I have a theory though on why but it requires me scanning you."
Minerva tilted her head to the side in confusion before nodding her head. Poppy cast the diagnostic spells and smiled broadly. "My theory was correct," she said to the couple. "Harry is physically fine although your soulbond is lessening your own symptoms by pushing some on Harry."
"I feel perfectly fine," Minerva said, still confused.
"You're pregnant Minerva," Poppy said matter-of-factly. "Harry is experiencing your morning sickness."
Minerva and Harry stared wide-eyed at each other before breaking into matching grins. "The due date?" Minerva questioned excitedly.
"March 31st," Poppy revealed with a grin. "You fell pregnant on your wedding night."
"We can't keep this a secret," Harry informed her. "Grandmother will insist on knowing what is wrong."
Minerva frowned at that. Ideally she would like to keep their pending birth secret until she was out of the first trimester but Harry was indeed correct. "Maybe we can ask the family to refrain from sharing the news until I am in the second trimester?" she suggested.
Harry nodded then grinned mischievously. "I cannot want to see Dad's and Padfoot's faces when I tell them I am experiencing your morning sickness."
Minerva snorted in amusement at that. "Rose will be searching for ways to ensure Sirius can do the same when they get married," she added with an amused grin.
"Undoubtedly," Harry agreed. "I may even help her find a way." Poppy even snorted in laughter at that before pushing the happy couple toward the dining hall.
"Are you alright son," James asked concerned for his eldest child.
Harry shared a look with Minerva before answering, "I may just be the only wizard alive to experience his wife's morning sickness."
"What," Sirius and James questioned simultaneously as they stared at Harry in doubt.
"Minerva," Euphemia questioned when Harry remained silent.
"March 31st shall bring a new Potter," she whispered emotionally as tears filled her green eyes. Harry turned to his wife quickly and pulled her in his embrace regardless of their audience.
"A baby!" exclaimed Euphemia excited as she rushed to hug Harry and Minerva. "This present is going to be hard to beat."
Harry snorted at his Grandmother's comment. "No spoiling this baby," Harry teased his Grandmother.
"It's not me you will have to worry about dearest," she answered back and gestured at James.
"Dad," Harry caught his attention by waving his hand.
"No promises," smirked James as the news settled in his mind. "I think I shall fancy spoiling grandkids and then sending them back to you."
Minerva groaned at that but realized how unlikely she was to change his mindset. "Can we continue with dinner?" she asked as her stomach roared loudly.
The guests chuckled but settled at the expanded table and continued to eat. Minerva picked up her fork and eyed the plate of hash before they suddenly soared to the other side of the table. Minerva startled and looked at Harry. His completion was greenish but he was managing to will it away. "For the love of Merlin, please don't eat that hash," he begged his wife.
Minerva looked at him sheepishly before nodding her head in agreement. "Sorry love," she whispered before settling on a vegetable dish.
"You are going to have a long nine months Pup " Sirius teased his godson.
Harry calmly stared at his godfather before uttering, "I will personally help Rose search through our entire library and Hermione's personal collection to find a spell to ensure you get to enjoy the same experience. Don't push me Padfoot."
Sirius looked at his godson in horror while the rest of the table burst at laughing at the light banter.
