"How is she?" Ida Ross asked as she and Donavon entered Minerva's rooms at Hogwarts.
"Still in labor," Euphemia answered as she gently combed her hand through Charlie's messy hair. The boy had dropped off to sleep about an hour ago along with his twin who was draped across Sirius.
"Still?" Donavon asked horrified. "She's been in labor over 24 hours, hasn't she?"
"Min won't allow Mum to give her potions," Hermione explained as she stood and stretched. "She wants a natural birth."
Hermione eyed her cane with a sigh before she gripped it and walked across the room. Her daring leap to save Minerva had left her with a limp. She depended on a cane to aide her from time to time. She smiled fondly as she remembered the day Fleamont had brought her a handcarved one. It doubled as a fighting staff. "You have defense lessons starting next week," he informed her. "You better be ready Winter! There will be no excuses regarding injuries." He had left the room speechless with his harsh attitude but Hermione had been overjoyed by someone treating her normally. And she had mastered those lessons within weeks!
"Is Harry feeling the labor pains?" Ida inquired.
"Thankfully no," Fleamont answered. "Harry is experiencing Minerva's tiredness."
Suddenly the windows shattered and a loud wailing from a baby filled the room. "We made it just in time Mother," Donavon stated with a smile.
Twenty minutes later, Poppy opened the door and beckoned the group to come on in. Minerva was propped up in bed with Harry supporting her back. A blue bundle lay nestled in her arms sleeping peacefully. They both had adoring smiles on their faces as they gazed at the babe. The family and friends surrounded the happy couple and offered congratulations.
"What's his name?" Rose inquired as she and Charlie ignored proper protocol for young pureblood heirs and climbed on the bed to get a closer look at their nephew.
Harry and Minerva shared a smile before Harry revealed their son's name. "Evan Frost Potter," he revealed and then added. "He was named for his godparents and the ones that selflessly put themselves in danger to offer him protection when we could not."
"Evan I understand," Sirius said with a confused look at his features. "Frost?"
"Winter's frost," Minerva clarified then gestured to Hermione. "Hermione has always been Harry's Winter in emotional times."
"That's a fine name for a future lord," Fleamont said with a huge grin on his face. "Another generation of Potters! May I hold him?"
"Always Grandfather," Harry said happily and watched as Minerva gently handed the newborn to Fleamont.
Minerva grinned as she watched the students surround Harry for a glance at the baby. Harry had started taking walks around the lake with Evan during his free period. Minerva enjoyed the undisturbed hour of work she managed and Harry enjoyed his boy time. "He's taken to fatherhood well," Pomona commented beside of her.
She nodded her head in agreement. "Sometimes I have to fight Harry just to hold Evan," she revealed. "He adores that child more than life."
"He's not the only one," Flitwick commented as he spied Hermione gently scoop the baby into her arms. "Miss Dagworth-Granger is steadily improving it seems."
"Harry pushes her hard," Minerva revealed happily. "He will not let her feel sorry for herself over a barely noticeable limp. Apparently they have grand plans for the Ministry."
"What plans," Flitwick asked curiously.
"Harry plans to control the Wizenmagot while Hermione becomes the youngest Minister of Magic," she revealed. "I hope they shall succeed."
"I have high hopes for them both," Pomona commented. "I'm curious about their test scores. Did you know they took all offered regardless if they took the classes or not?"
Minerva blinked in suprise at that. "I did not but I'm not surprised by it. Those two have quite the agenda."
Minerva glared at her husband as he ignored his NEWT results. The post had arrived nearly ten minutes ago but he hadn't opened it yet. Harry offered a smirk at his wife before opening the envelope and handing it to his wife. "How did I do," he asked.
Minerva rolled her eyes at her husband before opening the results. Her eyes widened as she did. "You passed them all," she revealed then grinned. "Outstanding in Transfiguration, Charms, Ancient Runes, and Spellcasting. Masteries earned in Charms and Spellcasting."
"Guess there's no loopholes in our betrothal contract now," he said with a cocky grin.
Minerva snorted in amusement at that. "Why do I have feeling you were aware of what your scores were?"
"Because I did," he replied with a grin. "The Ministry wants to award me with my masteries in public view. I made two requests that must be met before that happens. First they must go through their records and issue all masteries that weren't awarded regardless of time lapsed. Second, they must publicly apologize for not issuing the Masteries to begin with."
"You are something special Harry Potter," Minerva said with a grin. "Once Evan goes down for his nap,I plan to show you how special I think you are."
"Min," Harry groaned. "You are rather naughty at times." Minerva laughed at the comment but didn't respond. "I have to pop over to the Manor for a bit but I shall make absolute certain I'm back beore Evan's nap." He kissed her lips tenderly as he passed by her heading for the Floo.
"Hello Heart," a voice greeted .
She scanned the room and saw Death standing in the corner. "Is this a social call or doomsday warning?"
Death chuckled chillingly before moving towards her. "The timeline is far better than the Fates imagined before time was reset. You and Champion have done amazing and wonderful things so far. I look forward to seing what the future has in store for you both. I imagine Champion is glad he agreed to come back."
"I am," Harry said from the doorway. "Minerva is my very heart. I will be glad of any time where I get to experience life with her."
"Well met Champion," Death said then disappeared from view.
"Gran is correct," Minerva said, "the bastard doesn't answer questions well!".
Harry snorted in amusement before kissing his wife heatedly. " Forget nap time," Harry uttered as he swept her up in his arms. "The nanny elf will watch Evan.". With that he apparated into their bedroom promptly Minerva to laugh in amusement!
