Chapter 8

High School

- The entire day Gabriela tried to avoid troy. She was hurt and troy was confused.

Troy: Taylor... hey wait... have you seen Gabriela?
Taylor: no, after class she just disappeared maybe she went back home
troy: I don't know what's wrong with her; she's not talking to me
Taylor: you don't know? well, you should try to remember, you'll figure something out?
Troy: what?, wait what do you mean, you knew something right?
Taylor: I don't know anything, but you guys should talk... you know what you guys should how to talk, every time you have a problem, the solution is to avoid each other
troy: I don't get it, yesterday we were going to..
Taylor: you don't have to explain anything to me, find Gabriela and explain it to her

- Taylor leaves and troy was left even more confused than before

Class Room

Ryan: sharpay, I just heard in the hallway something
sharpay: what?
Ryan: it seems that Gabriela and troy aren't talking, maybe they broke up
sharpay: are you sure?
Ryan: yes
sharpay: I knew it, my plan worked out perfectly
Ryan: imp so proud of being your brother, I mean you got it all figured out
sharpay: I know, and you should be proud, now they'll probably are gonna refuse to do the musical together

Hallway

- Troy keep looking for Gabriela

troy: (asking to people in the hallway) have you seen Gabriela?

- But no one could give him an answer

troy: where is... (Thinking) hold on...

- Troy thinks of something and goes running

Troy's Secret Place

- Troy goes to his place hoping to find Gabriela

troy: Gabriela?

- When he gets there, he sees Gabriela looking outside

troy: Gabriela, ive been looking for you, what are you doing here?
Gabriela: I don't know I wanted to think isn't that what you come to do here. Be far away from everything
troy: what's wrong?
Gabriela: troy, im not going to hide my feeling anymore
troy: what do you mean?
Gabriela: I don't think, this... us... is a good idea.
Troy: (shocked) what... what are you trying to say
Gabriela: I can't have a relationship with the whole school, I just have feeling for you. Im sick that everyone think that they can give their opinion in our relationship
troy: but...
Gabriela: besides its obvious you have priorities, and people you like to spend time with
troy: I don't understand what you're saying... look if it was for what happened yesterday I was waiting for you in...
Gabriela: I was waiting for you, you left me there and then I saw you with sharpay
troy: we were all waiting for you. Sharpay told me that the drama club was meeting and you were gonna go, that's why I was there
Gabriela: its not just that...
troy: Gabriela her... look at me, look at my eyes (holding her hands) I know this is hard, maybe we got all confused yesterday, but there's no one in this world id like to spend more time with than you.
Gabriela: but.
Troy: look at me, im here and im with you, I don't want to be with anybody else. Right now my priority is you. I have never felt this happy before
Gabriela: me neither, with you I can be myself. Im sorry
troy: you should feel sorry, I was the one that left you yesterday waiting... do you feel like an ice cream?
Gabriela: what?
Troy: yeah let's forget everything (getting closer) and let's go for and ice cream (give her a kiss)
Gabriela: ok (giving him a kiss back)

Hallway

. Sharpay was walking and she sees troy

sharpay: hi troy, so I heard about you and Gabriela im sorry
troy: sorry? why?
Sharpay: becau...

- Gabriela shows up

Gabriela: im ready
troy. Let's go. Bye sharpay
Gabriela: see you tomorrow

- Troy hugs Gabriela and they leave together and happy, while sharpay...

sharpay: what? I can't believe it didn't work, where is Ryan im gonna hit him s hard for lying to me...

Couple Of Days Later

- The things between troy and Gabriela were getting better.

Movie Theatre

- Troy and Gabriela were embraced leaving the movie theatre

Gabriela: that was a terrible movie, next time I get to choose
troy: (laughing) what are you talking abut, it was a great movie
Gabriela: you didn't even watch it
troy: ok, I didn't, but hey, he had something much better to do (give her a kiss)
Gabriela: in that case I really loved the movie (laughing)
troy: I cant believe that we have school again tomorrow
Gabriela: yeah, I cant wait for the next break
troy: the musical is really soon and after that is our spring break, I might get a job
Gabriela: do you have something in mind?
Troy: I was thinking of getting a job as a lifeguard, what do you think?
Gabriela: it sounds cool, so I get free access to the pool (laughing)
troy: ohm. Well is that the only reason why you're with me
Gabriela: uhm, let me think, yes maybe (laughing)
troy: ok... then I guess ill have to live with it (laughing)
Gabriela: its getting late
troy: I know, we should go
Gabriela: but... (Stopping him and giving a kiss in the middle of the parking lot) thank you

- The date ends. Troy takes Gabriela home and both go to bed. The next day was coming with surprises for everyone

Next Day

High School

Theatre

Ryan: are you sure you want to do that?
Sharpay: yes, that's the plan, so you have to do exactly what ive told you ok?
Ryan: yes, but...
sharpay: but nothing, stick to what've told you and everything will be fine

Guys Locker Room

- Troy and the rest of the guys were changing after the practice

Chad: troy, I need some advice from you
troy. From me, you? Advice?
Chad: yeah, just listen...
troy: what, you're acting all weird
Chad: I like Taylor, ok I said it
troy: ok... so... what do you want me to do
Chad: I want to ask her out... but im not exactly the best in this stuff
troy: and you think I am... you were the one that helped me with Gabriela
Chad: I know, but in my situation is different
troy. Why?
Chad: because is My situation, I don't know what to do
troy: go and ask her
Chad: how?
Troy: just tell her... I don't know
Chad: don't you think itd be weird, I mean, a book freak with a basketball player?
Troy: (looking at him) are you kidding?
Chad: no, does it look like im kidding?
Troy: listen Chad, just go and ask her out, at end that's the only solution you'll find
Chad: yeah... maybe you're right... I don't even know why I asked you... I got all figured out
troy: yeah... sure... I got to go. Today is the last day f rehearsal for the musical
Chad: when is it?
Troy: this weekend. Soo bye

Chemestry Lab

Taylor: I like Chad
Gabriela: (shocked and looking at her) wow I didn't see that coming
Taylor: after the date we had after the game remember, I knew he was the guy for me but I didn't accepted
Gabriela: yeah you never told me what happened that day
Taylor: pretty much... nothing.. He was talking with his friends the whole time and...
Gabriela: and what?
Taylor: I think I did the same thing
Gabriela: (laughing) so what are you planning to do
Taylor: me? Nothing... I was just telling you
Gabriela: well you should tell him something
Taylor: no...Besides I love books, and math and chemistry and he is a basketball player... that match is impossible
Gabriela: you are not serious right?
Taylor: I don't know what to do... I think ill just stop talking to him
Gabriela: ok, if that's want you want
Taylor: yeah... maybe that's the solution
Gabriela: ok, why don't we talk about this later... I got to go. The musical is this weekend we have to finish all the details

- Gabriela leaves and she and troy get together in the hallway

troy: so...
Gabriela: (looking at each other) so
troy. Chad like Taylor
Gabriela: Taylor likes him too
troy. What should we do?
Gabriela: I don't know, according to them we should be together
troy. I know, according to Chad we don't match at all
Gabriela: (laughing) we should help them
troy. I know, lets talk about it later... I gotta get some thing in my locker
Gabriela: I too, see ya in the theatre

- Troy kisses her and they go separate ways

sharpay: hi troy, ready for the last rehearsal
troy: yeah... it's been hard work
sharpay: are u going over there now?
Troy. Ahh-..Yes
sharpay: ill go with you, I can't wait for the musical
troy. Oh... ok

- Troy and sharpay go together to the theatre and they get there really soon

sharpay: you know I really loved having to share characters with you, even thou I won't be on the play
troy. Yeahh... me too (looking around for Gabriela)
sharpay: maybe the next musical, don't you think
troy. Sure... maybe

- In that moment Ryan makes a sign to sharpay and she intentionally falls on troy and they get really close. When sharpay realizes that Gabriela just arrived to the theatre, she kisses troy. And when Gabriela sees this her entire body freezes and a tear fall down form her eyes. Ryan sees her, and feels really bad about it.

Ryan: Gabriela, are you?

- Gabriela walk away crying
