Prison Guard Found Dead

Written by Jane Ranger

Police received disturbing calls yesterday afternoon, around 3 P.M., from a lady claiming that her son, Connor McClain, had gone missing. "We had been planning for weeks to have tea today!" She had sobbed to me, while stroking her cat Mr. Kitty. "I was really worried when it became 2 o'clock, and he hadn't shown up yet, he was supposed to be here at 1!!!" She shrieked, hear hysterics. The police, of course, promptly went to his house to make sure everything was alright. Upon breaking through the door, they found Mr. McLain sprawled on his kitchen floor, a cup of half-finished coffee still sitting on the table. There were no signs of a struggle, forced entry, nor any blood anywhere in the house; the only thing that may give us a hint to his death, were unusually shaped burn marks on the wall, the only oddity in this small house. While questioning the neighbors, the task force discovered that none of the neighbors had seen or heard anything, and Mr. McClain had no spouse or children to question. Another death, unexplained; what has this world come to? Is this the end?
