Disclaimer: I'm not that girl.

Summary: I'll always be there to catch you when you fall.

A/N: This is sort of an apology fic. I am useless at updating. I have both Unlimited and Seasons of Love planned out, but I simply haven't had a chance to write them D: I will try to get them up soon. As to Unlimited: If anyone is reading it, I would suggest that when the new update arrives, you read through the whole thing, as I am editing through the chapters, which has meant that the story line has changed a little bit. Seasons of Love should also be on its way soon, but I may take that down to get it betaed first. Okay, after a killer of an author's note:

Roses

He takes her hand and leads her to the carriage that he already has waiting. Her face is veiled; her hands are gloved. She closes her eyes as the touch of his fingers upon hers sends waves of bliss through her body. The carriage driver already knows where to go, and when he clicks his tongue, the horses spring into action.

They take the couple to a lush green meadow where a stream quietly rushes by. He picks her up, laughing, and he carries her near to the stream before setting her down. He carefully removes her veil and kisses her cheek.

Taking two glasses from the hamper the driver left for them, he checks them and hands one to her. She looks inside, confused, and a delighted smile spreads across her face. She takes the glinting ring from the glass and allows him to slide it onto her finger.

"Will you marry me, Fae?"

And his heart lifts when tears come to her eyes and she nods, "yes."

He kisses her hand, "I love you."

She moves between his legs, allowing him to hold her close, and she feels the warmth of his body upon her back. In that moment, she feels safe and they lie like that for hours until the moon comes up. Then Fiyero strokes her hair and whispers, "in the hamper there are twelve roses for you."

She moves away and looks inside the basket. There are indeed twelve roses: eleven real and one made of fabric.

"I'll love you until the last one dies."

Her heart melts. She returns to his side, and he holds her close. She rests her head on his shoulder, and he kisses the top of her head.

"Fae, I love you."

She can only nod in return.

"And I'll always be there to catch you when you fall."
