Konoha was a peaceful village. Cascading waterfalls brought fresh, clean water to the trees and plant life dwelling there. The sky was clear as glass, and proudly held the mid-afternoon sun on it's shoulders.

Pedestrians strutted and skipped through the merchant filled streets. Many smiled and greeted one another. While others just waved and continued on their merry way.

The Hokage found herself proud to stand just below the Hokage stone faces. For this village was so superior because of her, and the spirits of the ninja living there.

But beneath all this mirth, dwelled a rebellious, strong-minded girl. She was much different than the other kunoichi in the village, for she would silently curse this village for this unrelenting era of peace.

This girls name was Miyuki, and in this city of pride and determination, she had but one friend. And she didn't even know his name.

Miyuki had happened upon him one day as she trekked the outskirts of Konohagakure. Honestly, the masked man had given her the scare of her life. He had been the last thing she was expecting to find huddled to the side of a tree.

Miyuki had brought him to her makeshift home; had nurtured him as a dear friend and had spoken about her hate for the village. How she despised each and every villager for pushing her away, and still being able to smile.

He'd been unable to answer though, after all she'd found him unconscious and had failed in waking him. So for the moment he was in a sort of... Suspended animation. But Miyuki didn't care. The stranger had needed her, and now she needed him. Needed someone to confide in and someone to explain how she had felt for so long.

Over time, Miyuki felt that she might actually be falling for this guy. But found it foolish that she'd even love someone who's name she didn't even know.

One day, as she walked inside her little hut, she heard a soft whimpering, and Miyuki quickly ran to the spot where the outsider lay. He sat crossed-legged, and his mask sat askew on his face. When he noticed she was there, he jumped up and quickly fell into a fighting stance.

"Who are you and why am I here?!" He inquired as he studied the girl; she wouldn't have known for the mask.

"A friend! Just a friend. Please, calm yourself." Miyuki put her hands up in front of her to show she meant no harm. And sighing a sigh of relief, the stranger dropped his arms.

"My name is Miyuki. And for the last week of so, I've been taking care of you." The stranger nodded, a simple sign of understanding.

Miyuki smiled happily, he was awake, he was awake, and with her. And maybe, just maybe, before he left she could get his name.

"Well, I'm really glad you found me, I would've been in serious trouble had you not. But, I don't want to be a burden, so it's probably best I leave."

The stranger bowed and grabbed his discarded cloak off the floor, but Miyuki allowed him no chance of escape.

"No! That's OK, you don't have to leave! Your very welcome here. In fact... I've never really had a friend before."

She looked down and tried to hide her blush. This was so awkward! When she looked up, the stranger was standing before her, his arm extended, his fingers splayed.

"Well, if were going to be friends, I must introduce myself..."

My name is Tobi
