Summary: Sometimes there is nothing left to say.
Just like that it was over.
Fuu had found her father, the Sunflower Samurai and made peace with him before he died.
Jin had killed the man who caused his master to attack him. Both he and his master obtained revenge for what he had been forced to do.
Mugen had been forced to kill a man whom he had wronged when he began his career as pirate. Who know how many other crazies that he had wronged would appear to try to kill him.
When they set out on the quest, they knew nothing about each other. The bond was the search for the Sunshine Samurai. Their promise had extracted under the most exigent of circumstances. The worse type of blackmail.
Yet they had stayed with her to the end. Compelled to aid Fuu by forces beyond themselves, they had become her knights errant vanquishing every foe which stood between her and the object of her quest.
But now it was all over. The quest which had been the basis for their bond was over and with it the bond which tied them together dissolved.
It was like a book they had all finished. The last page had been read. The book was closed. There was nothing more written in the book.
They stared at each other. There was nothing more to say that had not already been said.
Simultaneously and without a word they turned and walked away from each other never looking back at the people they had cherished, loved and fought for. .It was time to go.
