It Takes A Nub
Chapter 4:
The Seattle Connection
When dawn came, Freddie and Sam dressed and went to the lounge and found a cook fixing breakfast. Sam loaded up on bacon and eggs, while Freddie had an egg white omelet with jalapenos, spinach, and black olives.
Ambrose walked in and smiled at them. He grabbed a glass of juice and nodded to the cook, and the cook started to make his order.
"I trust you two slept well last night," he leered at Sam.
"Very well," Freddie stared at the man.
"I'll have your answer by four o'clock today,"
"That sounds good," Freddie said to him, well I hate to eat and run, but I have things to do, so he gently took her arm and the left.
Ambrose called Gordon the lounge, "The next time you see Benson, KILL HIM.
Sam and Freddie returned to the hotel and began downloading the data from the hard drive. Freddie hooked it to the special laptop he had and began to look through it. He began to laugh and Sam came over, "What's so funny?"
"Ambrose really is a pervert," Freddie laughed, "there must be at least three hundred different porn sites. Care to look at one?" He raised his eyebrows at her.
Sam stepped around the couch and planted herself in his lap and whispered, "Bring it, lover," and turned to face the screen.
She felt something begin to poke her and smiled, her plan had worked. Freddie clicked on one of the sites at random and it flashed up. There were pictures of people, animals, and other things engaged in some of the most disgusting acts that either of them had ever seen. Sam gasped and buried her head on Freddie's shoulder. Freddie quickly clicked the site off and hugged and rubbed Sam's back.
"I'm sorry babe, I had no idea that was going to happen," he whispered in her ear.
"I know baby," Sam said into his shoulder, "God what a pervert, thank you for not letting that man put his hands on me," she gave his cheek a kiss.
Freddie suddenly moved forward and almost dropped Sam, he clicked on something and smiled, "I got you, you son of a bitch, you can't hide from me!"
"What did you find baby?" Sam asked him.
"His e-mail account and he spends a lot of time sending and receiving e-mails to one certain i.p. address, I can ping the address and get what we call the "mac" address or the physical address and find out who he's talking with. We just found the head person, his boss!" Freddie smiled at her and kissed her deeply.
As the kiss broke off, Sam got up and walked away as Freddie began his scan of the e-mails. He found out just how ruthless the person in charge was. Murder, drugs, guns, white slavery, and on a scale that boggled the mind. He checked the i.p. address and then sent his special "ping" out and waited. In just a few seconds the signal traveled around the globe and reached its destination, then raced back to Freddie's computer. He looked down at the address and almost couldn't believe it. He picked up the phone and called Noah.
"Noah I need all the info you can get on a company called "Pappercorp" just as fast as you can and we'll need two tickets to Seattle first thing tomorrow. I've got a list of things I need you to get for us for a night trip to a bank.
Freddie spent about two minutes on the phone and then sat back and watched as the information rolled by.
Sam appeared at the door of the bedroom in a robe, "Freddie I was wondering what to where to our trip to the bank this afternoon."
Freddie turned around and looked at her and said, "Just wear something comfortable."
"Is this too relaxed and comfortable for the trip?" she opened the robe and showed him that she wore nothing underneath.
Freddie stood up and charged at her and threw her over his shoulder and went into the bedroom.
Two hours later they walked through the lobby and were stopped by the concierge, "I hate to bother you own your honeymoon, but we have had several complaints about the level of noise coming from your room. It appears to be at all times of the day and night. We just got another one this very moment, I would respectfully ask you, if possible, to try to keep it down."
As they started walking out Sam yelled at the top of her lungs, "I can't help it, he's the best sex I've ever had, and he's pounding the shit out of me every chance we get!"
"Well played darling and thank you for the shout out," Freddie laughed as they got into their rented car.
"It's the truth babe, tell me is it me or have you always been like this with women?" Sam asked.
Freddie turned to her and grinned and began to sing, "You, you got what I need!"
They parked and walked toward the bank. Freddie produced several diamond necklaces and handed them to Sam.
"Where did you get these?" she looked at him stunned.
"You don't want to know," he said to her and opened the door to the bank. Neither of them noticed that a car sat across the street with Gordon and another man sitting in it.
The couple went up to the manager and asked him about a safety deposit box for the one point one million dollars worth of jewelry that they had. The manager fell all over himself to help them. The whole time Freddie quietly made notes in his head of every thing the bank had. The manager took them to the vault and showed them the boxes and how secure they were. They used a two key system that Freddie could handle in three seconds. The vault its self was older than some and would take about two minutes to open. The alarms were a joke. He could take care of them with a gum wrapper and a q-tip if he had to. They placed the jewelry in the box and locked it up. As they walked out of the vault the associate manager walked in. She was a short blonde who could have been in a magazine. She was beautiful.
"Freddie baby, oh my God, you look great, oh my God you must be Sam. You're even more beautiful than he said," the blonde said.
"Kelly, wow, it's been what six years, you look good," Freddie smiled as Sam rolled her eyes at him.
"I got married to Steve about four years ago. I thank you everyday for putting us together," Kelly said, "I just wish he could do the "pulse" thing like you did, oh tell me he's done that for you honey?"
Sam gave a look of annoyance and shook her head yes.
"Doesn't it just kill you, I found that after I was unable to walk," Kelly laughed.
"Listen it's good to see you Kelly and I'm glad Steve and you worked out," Freddie hurried Sam to the door.
As soon as they were outside Sam turned to him, "Are you freaking kidding me? Three, three exes on one tiny island, Freddie for the love of God, how many girlfriends did you have?"
"I told you babe, I didn't keep a count, it wasn't like that," Freddie explained to her.
"Is the "pulse" thing like a signature move or something?" she asked.
Two shots rang out and the glass of a car they were walking past shattered. Freddie pushed Sam down to the ground and covered her with his body. Three more shots rang out and Freddie looked up to try and see where they were coming from. As he looked he pulled the pistol Sam had given him and began to scan the area with it also. He finally saw a man in a dark suit take off running and jumped up off Sam and began to run after the man. Sam hopped up and pulled her own pistol and took off after Freddie.
Freddie ran across the road and down the same street as the man. Because of years of training in his unique field, Freddie ran very fast and began to catch up to the man. The man, who now looked to be in his late thirties to early forties, turned around and squeezed off two more rounds as Freddie dived behind a car. He rolled to the other side and popped up and fired twice at the man, hitting him once in the left arm. The man fell back and then took off again. Freddie also took off again and this time caught him just as he turned to fire again. Freddie had leaped at the man and caught him by the shoulders and brought him down. The mans gun went flying across the street and they both landed hard on the pavement. The man scrambled to his feet with a knife in hand Freddie got up and dodged the first slash of the knife, but caught the second one across the chest and a thin line of blood appeared. The man slashed forward with the knife again only to be met with a round house kick by Freddie that caught the man in the face and sent him sprawling into the street near his gun. He grabbed it and spun ready to fire, when two holes appeared in his chest and he slumped back down onto the street. Freddie turned to see Sam putting her pistol back in its holster. She rushed up to him and checked to see how bad the wound on his chest. They both silently went up and checked out the dead man. They found no I.D. seven hundred dollars in cash (which Freddie took) and a card that read:
Pappercorp.
We Dress the world
Stanley Crane
Personal Manager
"Well I'd hate to see how he handles employees, if this is how he does strangers," Freddie looked at Sam.
"We'll get Noah to check this out," Sam told him.
"I think we just got Ambrose's offer," Freddie stated, "and I think its a little light. We better get out of here before the cops show up babe."
As they walked away Sam looked up at Freddie and asked, "So, how many girlfriends did you have?"
Freddie and Sam jumped from the roof of the restaurant onto the bank roof. Freddie had brought his bag of wonders and had quickly disabled the cameras, alarms, and the phones to the bank. They entered through a skylight in the roof and climbed down the ropes they brought and were inside the bank. They walked to the vault and in one minute and twenty seconds he had it open and they went inside to the boxes and opened box three twenty –two, because Freddie found the number among the files on the hard disk. He opened the box with no trouble and they found money, maps of storehouses, and several thumb drives that Freddie was sure were insurance policies against his boss. They took it all and left the bank so no one would know they were there. Freddie also retrieved the jewelry they had brought in earlier.
When they returned from the bank Noah was in their room and had information for them.
"Pappercorp was founded as a men's retail store. It grew into a very high end haberdashery chain and they expanded into men's fashion and then women's. Nevel Papperman was the founder of the company, but he withdrew from the public six years ago and hasn't been seen or heard from since. Thomas Harris is now the C.E.O. of the company. There has never been any kind of investigation of the company and no known ties to any illegal activities. They look clean, on the surface, but I dug a little deeper, after Papperman vanished from the public eye and Harris took over, the company began to become very solid despite the fact that stories began to lose money. I would say that Mr. Harris bares more looking into.
I checked on Stanley Crane and it appears that he left for a vacation three days ago. By the way, Hans Ambrose was found floating in the harbor this evening while you were gone. His throat was cut, all the way to the spine. I have you both on a flight at eight-thirty in the morning to Seattle. I'll be leaving in an hour so I can meet you when you land with all the proper things. Goodnight to you both.
After Noah left Sam and Freddie went to the bedroom.
The concierge got a call at twelve complaining about the noise that the two newlyweds were making.

Well I hope you like the new chapter. I have a feeling I'm losing people because I got so few reviews for the last chapter. I'm still enjoying writing it, but if people are tired of it I'll stop. Let me know!
As you can tell I'm enjoying the running joke of Freddie's exes. I like the idea of shy Freddie having so many girlfriends that he always runs into them. I think it makes for some great fun.
