Emily really did die at the hands of Doyle, and JJ is stuck in the stage of denial. Loosely based on the song, “Ceilings” by Lizzy McAlpine, with my own spin on the meaning of the song. For the sake of the story, Will and Henry don’t exist, and JJ did not go to Afghanistan in her time away from the BAU.
