Wally finally set down the heavy cardboard boxes on the carpet, looking around the empty living room. It was a small house; having only one bathroom, two bedrooms, a kitchen and a living room. They didn't need much more though, he was fine with just that. As long as he was with his boyfriend, he would live anywhere. It was definitely better than their apartment was, anyways. A lot more room and less.. He shivered.. bugs. He hated it when he had to call his boyfriend over to get a silverfish. That was the only bug he just couldn't deal with.

An arm wrapped around his shoulder and he smiled when a familiar voice spoke up next to him. "All the boxes are out of the moving truck so they headed off. I'll start moving the heavy stuff if you get some groceries, ok?"

"Mhm, fine with me Kon," murmured Wally, exhausted for once. He hadn't actually eaten much on the trip here, since they had moved to a brand new state as well as to a new house. Two superheroes under one roof meant a new city in need of some saving, right? After pulling himself reluctantly from the comforting hold of Conner's arms, he grabbed the keys to their old truck and went to the local grocery store. He bought all of the necessities, juice, milk, some fruit, stuff for sandwiches, but bought all of that in about 3 times more than a normal family would get. Oh, and some candies and chips.

By the time he had gotten home, the house looked fantastic. Posters were up, tables were inside, and the couch was facing the TV at just the right angle. Wally was glad that Conner had been in charge of that, he had a much better way of picturing these things in his mind. If he had done it there would have been a lot of frustration.

Wally moved to the kitchen and put away all of the food, wondering where Conner was. He hadn't seen him or heard him at all, and he had checked all the rooms. After everything was organized Wally did another look of all the rooms, sitting on the couch when his efforts still gave him nothing. Just when he was about to run around the whole town looking for him he heard a whisper outside in the backyard. Of course, he had forgotten the backyard! The red head walked outside, looking for Kon amongst the trees that opened into a forest.

"It's ok, I'm here little one. It'll be ok."

Wally found him sitting with his back resting against a tree, a gray kitten with copper penny eyes resting in his hands. Conner sat up slowly, his super hearing finally kicking in, and he looked up to see the speedster hiding behind the tree across from him.

"Hey there..." He muttered, feeling Conner's stare boring into him.

"You know I don't like it when you sneak up like that."

"It's not sneaking, it's more like observing..." Wally explained as he walked over to his boyfriend, looking at the kitten curiously. "Where'd you find him?"

"I found her hiding inside this tree. Her mewling could have gotten her eaten," Conner said as he gently stroked her fur.

"..Well what are we going to do with her?" wondered out loud Wally, reaching for the kitten.

Conner shied away slightly, not trusting Wally all that much with the little creature. Then, after thinking a bit, he let him pet her. "Can we...keep her?"

Smiling warmly, he nodded slowly, "Only if you promise to care for her. Oh, and we need to name her."

Conner thought for a moment, then spoke the name with utmost certainty, "Cat."

The red head couldn't help but laugh, even if Conner gave him that quizzical expression. "Ok, Cat it is." With that, Wally and Conner took the little kitten to the vet so she could start living with them in their new home.
