Thank you rebeccavoy for the beta. As always, if I owned any show or characters you'd just get fluff each Monday evening. Instead of ALL THE FEELS

Distract me.

*sigh*

Helena didn't think much of the small sound and carried on absentmindedly stroking the feet that were resting on her lap. She turned a page in her book and lost herself in the imaginary world until-

*sigh*

She drew her gaze away from the words on the page and looked at her girlfriend, only just noticing how she was rubbing the palm of her hands furiously against her temple.

"Honey, are you okay?"

Myka's eyes blinked open feebly and she let out another huff of air. She shifted up the arm of the couch groaning as let her feet fall out of Helena's lap and onto the floor.

"Sorry, I have a headache."

Taking in the pitiful expression, Helena carefully balanced the book upside down on the arm rest and slowly removed Myka's hands from her head so that she could rest the back of her own hand against her forehead. There was no temperature but she still felt an overwhelming need to fix and protect Myka take over her. Stroking her hand down from Myka's forehead and across her cheeks Helena had to ask.

"When was the last time you took any medicine?"

Myka rolled her eyes so dramatically Helena was surprised it didn't make the headache worse.

"An hour ago when I made the tea, and I before you say anything I can't have anymore because-"

Helena shut her up with a well-timed kiss, remembering the situation a few months ago that had sparked the whole relationship. Sinking into the embrace Helena only retreated when they both needed air. Myka blinked her eyes open again looking slightly bewildered but a lot less feeble.

"Not that I'm complaining, at all, but any reason for that?"

Helena smirked and brushed a bit of hair away that had fallen in front of her eyes.

"A distraction."

Myka looked puzzled and tilted her head. "A distraction from what?"

Helena's smirk blew up into a full on grin. "Never you mind."

But as she tried to lean down again she was stopped by Myka's hand pressing against her shoulder. Myka 's face adorned with her own adorable little grin, nose crinkling up with amusement.

"My headache is starting to feel better thank you."

Helena allowed disbelief to fill her voice. "You can still remember you have one?!"

Myka snorted inelegantly. "This is your brand of medicine?" She lazily arched underneath Helena. "I suppose I could deal with one to two kisses every four hours…"

"We wouldn't want to exceed the recommended amount would we now? You think you need that second kiss?"

Myka nodded and dramatically leant her arm across her head.

"I have a sinking suspicion if we were to overdose you might just be the death of me."

Arching an eyebrow in return Helena only shot back. "Oh you'd know you were alive." Before proceeding to make Myka far too busy to talk back.
