This is my estimate of the timeline for breath of the wild.

Overcome its trials, and your reward will be great." This interested the Hero greatly. However, upon entering, the mountain seems less like a mountain...

After being ripped from her own body and forced to exist as a spirit, Zelda finds she is unable to enjoy the things she once took for granted. Even the simple pleasure of sleep. On the journey into the Snow Realm the pair stop for camp as the princess ponders in solitude the life she lost and the one she wants to return to.

Urbosa of the Gerudo lived up to her reputation. Link saw that with his own eyes. She was indeed like a living storm, powerful yet majestic, beautiful, in a way. As a warrior and a man, he couldn't help but be drawn to that. From her perspective, Link was worthy of the duty bestowed upon him. Worthy of that, and perhaps something more, something rather intimate.

A smutty take on the Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess because I saw a couple images of Linkette online and remember an embarrassing memory from the first time playing a Zelda game. Don't read if you want to keep the Legend of Zelda pure and don't like AUs.

After ten years of wandering the Hero of Time returns to the kingdom of Hyrule expecting a warm welcome. Yet he discovers in his absence tensions between the kingdoms of Hyrule and the Gerudo have been building towards war. Trying to reconnect with the people he once knew Link must struggle to find his place in a world that does not remember his feats.

Link and Zelda, miles apart in stature as the Knight and the Princess, but that didn't stop them from falling for each other. But what happens when reality strikes and one fatal mistake splits them, seemingly forever. 7 years later, while Hyrule is at War with the Gerudo, they are reunited, albeit they aren't the same as they used to be. Are they destined to be apart forever?
