Sorry my fellow readers, School has been hectic and I barely have time to write like before but i will try :).
Enjoy chapter two!
Takato looked up at the Chinese-Japanese pre-teen, and soft deep red met dull gray; his first reaction was a soft blush. Even without the warming glow the taller boy use to give off, Takato found himself lost… in something. It was making his thoughts fuzzy, and the more their eyes met the hotter Takato's cheeks grew. He in fact expected changes among Jenrya to occur, but not like this. Jenrya's short spikes had now become slightly longer, strands falling in front of his face; from the tight grip of his hold, it was obvious he spent his free time training. Taking in all of the changes at once, made Takato a bit woozy.
"Jen um.. I-I didn't hear you comi..."
His sentence was cut short by a firm glare, startling the younger of two. Takato flinched when he heard the tone of his admiration, dark, annoyed and most of all 'cold.'
"Gomen, Kato-san but I must know, why did you call me?" His voice held a no-bullshit tone, Takato could sense that just by the way Jen watched him intently, searching for reason. Takato wouldn't out right admit that he was a bit scared of his old friend, but his shaking limbs gave way to that. His nervous behavior had not gone unnoticed, because within moments the sharp gaze softened, Jenrya looking down at him.
"Sorry again.. but I'm really busy and I don't have a lot of time. What was wrong, you sounded a bit... distressed?
If Takato hadn't been holding onto every word that escaped the young Chinese boy, he would have missed the sincerity and concern in his words 'its me who should be questioning you..' He brushed off the little voice deciding to slowly work out the conflict within the ex Digi-Tamer.
"Um yeah I um... well we've been worried about you, Ruki and the rest of the gang... You haven't been around and we were worried that maybe you were taking the.. 'incident'.. a little to hard, on your father as well as yourself." He chose his words carefully, watching Jen's reaction to them. His heart wept when he witnessed the slip in the older boys eyes; they showed a flash pain at the mention of the 'incident', before returning to their original gaze. At that point he expected denial, accusation, but must of all anger; instead he received none of the expected.
"I have"
Jen's P.O.V.
"I have"
I couldn't give him anymore then that, in fact I couldn't even look at him, knowing that beautiful face would wreak of confusion and more questions. Beautiful, yeah I said it, and I'd scream it out if I could find the courage. It hurt, seeing the love of my life's expression regarding my absence and seclusion, but it was only possible solution I could come up with. Since gummymon was forced to return to its' digital home, I couldn't bare to be around my friends. The pain of knowing all we had been through together, along with our digital partners, infuriated me, mainly because of my father. My blood boiled knowing that my own father, one of the original creators of Digimon, found it necessary to go behind my back to undo his mistake. The nerve of him... causing me the pain of releasing my digi-partner, but my anger laid within the thought of knowing that my friends, and my secret lover, had to go through that emotional roller coaster or letting go of their own bonds. Kami it twisted my heart strings when Taka-kun cried for his friend, that no good...
"Jen... please... talk with me.. Why are you so upset"
'Oh if only you knew how much your tears shattered my heart'
"It's hard to explain Kato-san, but we both know well enough where my anger is directed."
His features changed, soft and determined to convince me with his next volley of words.
"Jen, we were all upset with your father, but he did it within a good cause! He only wanted to protect us and you have to look past that..."
His words ran through my brain, my hand trembling in slight aggravation. I understood him, but it didn't change anything, what I had to witness. Unknowingly I whispered through gritted teeth, my consciousness lost in my rising temper.
"He made you cry..."
N.P.O.V.
Takato's rants seized, his cheeks a shade similar to mahogany irises, which were wide in absolute shock. Jenrya soon realized his words, a faint blush along his cheeks. He stepped back as if he witnessed his worst nightmares become true.
"W- What, why did that...?"
Before Takato could finish, Jen spun fast on his heels, dashing away from the ex Tamer, uttering a soft 'I'm sorry,' loud enough for Takato to hear. Takato could only watch as his love ran away, a hand unconsciously outstretched to him. 'He was mad.. because it made me cry?' The play back left the moppy haired teen confused, but hopeful as well, his blush never leaving his cheeks. The incident had caused a crack in the bond between the ex. Digi-Tamers and the young Chinese teen, but one thing had been clarified within the boy's heart.
'He was upset for me..'
